when i m doing Mb1a Enter good issue then system showing error msg..
"Date 20100302 lies after the end of the valid factory calendar (please
correct) "
Message no. AG013
somebody suggest me to check ox10 n extend year 2009 up to 2010.
i done it..but in holidays calander it is not changing....
intial screen shows that up to 2010 bt when we check validity than systm showing 2009.
tell me how we can change in holidays calander?
willl any another trnasaction run after this t.code?
shud we do it production server or devlopment server?

Dear Rekha Sharma,
You have to modify the same in the server which you are trying to post.
Say if you are getting this error in the production server,then you have to get the approval from the concerned person and
handover the same to the security or the BASIS person to open the client and you can modify the factory calendar settings in
the T code SCAL.
Check and revert back.

Check which calender is applicable for your order.
Then go to SCAL t-code and change the calendar start date, and enter the valid date. Save that

Do You want to find the first working day of the an employee based on his personnel number ????
If so you need to go to his PWS there you can find.
PWS is available in the IT0007

Call the calendar maintenance transaction in one of the following two ways:
- In the implementation guide for Global Settings choose Maintain calendar Execute
- Call the transaction SCAL in the OK-Code field.
Choose the option "Holiday calendar" or "Factory calendar".
Choose Display.
You receive a list of all holiday or factory calendars which exist in the system, with descriptive text and ID.
Choose a calendar.
Call the function Display. definition, to get the definition of the chosen calendar.
Call the function Display calendar, to get a calendar overview. In the factory calendars overview screen you can choose a year and display a calendar page for the chosen year with the function Display year.

Factory Calendar issue in creation of Sales Order/ Delivery Order

Hi all,
There is one issue. Our user is not able to create Sales Order/ delivery order as he is getting the below error message u201CDate 2010-12-27 lies after the end of Factory calendar F1u201D. But when I checked the plant in customization, the Factory calendar assigned is u201CKRu201D and not u201CF1u201D. So I donu2019t understand why this error message is appearing. But when I checked Factory calendar u201CF1u201D, it was valid only up to 2010 and there are special rules also set. Only few days in the year are working days. Factory Calendar u201CF1u201D description says u201CKOR customers billed on the 25th of every monthu201D
Please advice.

If F1 is the correct calander , then goto OP03-Calander Maintenece -select the Holoiday Caleneder and extende the Valaidity till 2020 and also Select the Factory Calander do the same till 2020 .Now Goback to main screen of OP03-Plant asisngement -re-assing the same F1 calaneder .
Secondly check the factory calender of the plant in OX10.Then in SPRO > enterprise structure >Definition > logistic execution>define shipping point .Select you shipping point and assgin the proper factory calender
.Goto OVX5 , choose your sales organization, click on details, Detailed information tab - Sales Org Calendar (maintain your factory calendar here not Sale Org Calander )
.Check in VOV8, use the "Propose delivery date" and "Lead time in Days" options to default today's date as the requested delivery date.

Check you SCAL factory calander, whether the day is defined as working day or not??
If not defined, then you can only use the next working day.

Problem with OSS note 1529649 - Factory calendar expires 2010

Hi Experts,
I found a OSS note that is telling that calendar validity ends in 2010.
For the moment in my system factory calendar for all my sites is valid till 2020.
My question is that doesn't matter what date i have now in the system the validity will finish?
What i should do!!!

If the factory calender and holady calendar which is assinged in FC , both have same validity , then there should not be any problem .
For consistency , you can go down to OP03-Slecet HC-Change Mode -Keep the valaidty along with all the public holday calander validity till 2011 or 2012 .Similarly , do the same in Factory calander .
But re-assing the Calander to Plant once again in OP03 -Plant Assingent tab or re-assing at WC ( CR02-Capacity tab -Standard Avalaable Capacity ) also if you have similar kind of canalder also .

A calander has to be defined to each and every plant to decide about the plants holidays and workdays.Unless a plant is having a calander it will not be in a position to decede about its schdule upon its operations.
Hence a factoty calander will be created and will be assigned to the plant.In Sap factory calander will be created at the transaction code SCAL.
Here holidays will be created and assigned to the holiday calander and in turn the holiday calander will be assigned to the factory calander.Factory calander will be assigned to the plant .
Based upon the holidays provided ,during the transactions system prompts .

Transport of factory calendar changes

Whatever changes happen in production server it should be transport from Development & Quality.
Because if any other develpement going on development server that time all criteria should be meet as per production server. Other wise whaterver delopment will be failed when transport in production server.
And developer alway making the coding on development server. IF anything in wrong in developement server will be reflated in production after transport.
Think as like Big Corporate.

Factory/planning calender problem.

Please throw light to resolve the following issue that I'm facing while mapping the scenario.
Scenario:
Plant 'A' have General, as well as shifts 1,2, and 3.
'General' shift has Sunday as weekly off. Also shifts 1,2,3 get Sunday as weekly off but in alternate week they get Saturday & Sunday as weekly off.

My understanding from your requirement is that you need to create the Factory Calander with Special rule where u need to include the Alternative Saturday as Off-days.
Let me explain you ,
U have to create(SCAL/OP03) a factory calender with 6 work days along with your Holiday calander .
Now, SAP Factory Calendar allows companies to key in their own factory work days. Individual SAP application such as MRP will take into consideration these individual factory customizing.
For alternate Saturday, you set Saturday as a normal working day and key in all the off-days in the Special rules button.
In your abap program, you can calculate whether a particular day is a non-working day, with reference to the Factory Calendar.
Here is the Ref .ABAP Program to check for holidays using the factory calendar

Factory date calculations

Hi,
I want to do some caculations based on the factory calander. Its like :
date = 04/27/2005.
I want to substract 4 days from this. But in case the new date is a leave day (Saturday/ sunday) then it should return the last working day along with the weekday like monday.
So here its saurday, so it should return 04/22/2005 friday, instead of 04/23/2005 saturday.
Is there a way to do this calculation. Please advise.

Factory Calender and Planning Calenderr

Hi,
i want to plan my production for 7days a week. and want to plan for Raw materials also 7 days a week.
but here my requirement is that i dont want to receive raw materials on weekends. i mean no one will be in Factory to receive raw materials on Weekends.
If i maintain Planning Calender for 7 days and assign to Raw materials in MRP View 2 and Factory Calender for 5 days can i achieve this requirement?
for in house production i have to plan for 7 days a week. (Scheduling and Capacity Calculation)
i dont want to receive rawmaterils in weekends.
Please suggest.

Based on your business requirement , you should have the following set up :
1.One Factory Calender with Work Days Monday-to-Friday Let say FC1 .This will be used on all the organisational level starting from Materials Planning to Sales .But will not be assinge to Capacity Requirement Planning Purpose or Any Production Activity in Work Centre .
2.You should have one more Factory Calander with work Days Monday to Monday ( 7 days week ) with some special rule like Plan Shutdown Days , Breakdown Maintainnece etc and this should be assinged to all the work centres -CR02-Capacity Tab -Capacity Header -Factory Calader ID -Let say it is FC2.
You need to ceate Calander in OP03/SCAL .It does nto have any transport and it will be a Cleinet level changes which requires proper approval .Please rememeber , you need to assing only FC1 to Plant assingement in OP03 where as FC2 will be asisnged only in Work Centre level .
Steps : Goto -OP03
1.Identify all those Public Holidays frist with Fixed or moveable as per business requirement
2.Goto Holiday Calander -Hit the pencil -Hit Create option -Enter ID , Description , Valid To/From Year ( shd be 20 yrs differnce )
Add all those holidays as per Public holidays as applicable in your business with proper valididty and finally SAVE
3.Goto Factory Calander -Hit the pencil -Hit Create option -Enter ID , Description , Valid To/From Year ( shd be 20 yrs differnce )
Asisng Hioliday Calander . In case of FC2-Work centre Calander , here you can hit the Special Rules .Include Special Activity like Plan Shut down of factory with Validity etc and SAVE .
4.Come back to OP03 main screen -Assing the factory Calender in plant .
5.Goto -CR02-Capacity -Capacity Header -Available Capacity Header -Factory Calander-Assing FC2
I do not think you should have planning calander seperately if you do not have any specific reason .

Currently in my development client, the validity period is set to the year 2098, whereas on PRD it is set to 2011. How can i set the validity year to 2012 in dev.client. So that the same can be transported to PRD.

Frist of all , Factory Calander is a client level set up .You can also make changes with out trasport if the business permits you to open PRD client for extending the calander till 2011.
To make necessary changes , please do the following at any Clinent [prd/dev]
1.Goto OP03-Select calander maintainenece
2.Slect the Holoday Calender in Change mode [Pencil Option] -Keep the valaidty along with all the public holday calander validity till 2011 or 2012 .
3.Similarly , do the same in Factory calander .
4.After that Assing the Holiday calander to Factory Calander and Finally SAVE.
5.Re-assing the Calander to Plant once again in OP03 -Plant Assingent tab or re-assing at WC ( CR02-Capacity tab -Standard Avalaable Capacity )
6.If you are carrying out the changes in Dev , then go back to main screen of OP03 and Flag the Factory Clander , Hit back Transport symbol -Truk to create workbench request and transport request from workbench .Compare the Prod with development at OY19 T code and and transport.
