Factory calendar table update

Hello gurus,
An urgent requirement!!!
I have three Source system configured in BW.
The FActory cal id for the two systems were not found in BW.
When i use rebuild table for the factory calendar id using transfer global setting option in the source system it updates the table but over writes it when i use the same option for other source system.
Suggestion please

Hi,
the program doesn't admit the update on factory calendar!!
You need an alternative way.
I suggest two possibility:
Transaction SCU0 to compare all the tables by RFC in remote system, (you can automate this comparison in a program) But the comparing will be for all tables:
TCALS
TFACD
TFACS
TFACT
TFAIN
TFAIT
THOC
THOCD
THOCI
THOCS
THOCT
THOL
THOLT
THOLU
or for the IMG activity related to calendar.
Other way is to use the BC set functionality. When you make modification in a calendar in source system you insert all modifications in a request, then you can get this request in a BC set. After you can download it and upload in BW.

Wrong factory calendar assignment to plant

Hi,
We define new plant in customizing and assign a factory calendar ( table T001W ).
I have wrongly assigned a factory calendar BE to German plant in customizing system and moved to changes to production system. Now I want to change this factory calendar from BE to DE in customizing, but the field is greyed out.
Kindly advice.

Hi,
Open Enterprise Structure-Define, copy-Logistics - General-delete, check plant-Define Plant-select your plant and open in detail view-click on Table view from your header and select Displaay-changes.Now you can see your factory calender as editable.

How to maintain TFACS table (Factory calendar) into SAP BI

Hi,
I deal with a daily stock infocube and I would like to set a flag when the warehouse doesn't work (on holiday).
to do this, I would like to use the factory calendar (TFACS), and I have 2 questions:
1) How to maintain the TFACS table into SAP BI ?
2) How to use the TFACS data into SAP BI ? In other words, How to convert the TFACS data values in date ?

rsa1(source-systems) --> right-click on the source system you load from --> transfer global settings --> flag 'factory calendar' and 'rebuild' or 'update tables'
2.
use function module DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE.
it returns workingday_indicator (initial if it's a worling day) that you can use as a flag, or it also returns the next working day.
you can use this function module in the transformation in the field routine of the flag...i think this is the best option.

How to update Factory Calendar in SRM

Do we need to have Factory Calendar updated in SRM as currently it shows valid to 2010?
My understanding is that this is only for ECC. What is Factory Calendar used for in SRM? How do I update/ extend it?

Let me introduce, I'm Daniel, and I saw your fantastic asnwer in
the topic "How to update Factory Calendar in SRM", and might I have the same
problem. It's with the "factory calendar".
In transaction va02 when I choose a Delivery Date, and I sent it to process, as
a result in the "shipping tab" it calculated to the first item one date, and to
the rest one date different. I don't know What it happen?
I debugged the program and I saw that to the first item use to calculate the
date is the function 'APO_SCHEDULING', and to the rest item use
'SD_SCHEDULING', and until here I come.
How can I do to what the dates calculated are the same? or What would be the problem?
I need the dates calculated are equal.
I looked at it's using two "factory calendar" which are "J4" and "C2". Is this
correct?

Hello Kooyot,
in ta. SE11 there is a button "Graphic" (or use key combination Ctrl.ShiftF11), where you can display all relevant table relationships. You can do this in this dialog by clicking on the buttons "Ing.", "Outg.", "Check Tables" and "Foreign key tables", probably you have to change the focus in the "Display Area" to reach all dependent relationships, which you can see in detail by clicking on the edges between the tables.

Updation of Factory Calendar

Hi,
I have a situation here regarding Factory Calendar.
So far we are maintaining the Factory Calendar through Opening the System, but now we want to Synchronize it and route it through proper Transport System.
Can I get suggestions, for how can I sync the PRD, TEST and DEV Systems maintaining the current config in PRD system
Whether we get the PRD Factory Calendar Dump and then compare and create in DEV, or is there another system / process / way by which we can sync all three Systems ?
Total calendars would be around 30 Factory Calendars.
Please provide expert comments / suggestions.

Dear,
General: You can only transport the factory/public holiday calendar as a whole.
System landscape: The factory/public holiday calendar should be maintained and changed in a separate Customizing client/system. It can then be transported to productive or test systems. Direct changes in the production systems are not recommended.
Prerequisites for the transport:
    Your user has the authorization object S_CALENDAR
    The role of the client from which you want to perform the transport is set to Customizing
    Cross-client Customizing is allowed
    The transport link is active (automatic recording of changes)
The settings of the client can be checked as follows: Tools -> Customizing -> Basic functions -> Set up clients -> Set up client
Header Data
You can check the 3 last points in the client settings. To do this, call transaction SCC4. Double-click on the client where they are located. Check the settings.
Please transport your all Calender again to Prod system.

Factory Calendar update

Hell All
For plant my client is requesting that 26 December 2014 be marked as a non working day. The plant is
all taking this day as one of their floating holidays and need it considered as
non work day in factory calendar to extend their Christmas break.
Is there any impact if we do this for other module etc.,,what would be best way if we do through open client or landscape.
Can anyone tell me how to do the same.

Hello Remi,
While I try to create a workbench request it shows the target system deletes the Holiday calendar.Factory Calendar etc.,after moving the TR it deletes the initial and overwrites ?
when I try to check for transport conflict analysis it takes production logon which never happens before.
Also here I have made the changes for Factory calendar alone in special rule,whereas no changes to holiday calendar,for this case is it require to run the work schedule rule.

Difference between calendar used in capacity profile & factory calendar?

I am trying to check available capacities in planning book & found some ambiguities.
In /SAPAPO/RES01, factory calendar maintained in the resource is say Z1, but in the same page, the capacity profile tab uses a different calendar.Say in Z1, if X/X/XXXX is a working day, the one present inside capacity profile considers it as a holiday & the available capacity doesn't reflect in planning book.
In ECC, the plant where this work center is defined follows calendar Z1.
So my doubt is which calendar the capacity profile follows & how to ensure that it follows the same factory calendar Z1?

Hello Soumyajit,
few things you can check,
Plant and work center calender assignment should be same, Plant has precedent over WC
Check if in CFC9 you have correct change transfer mode set for resource.
Once calender updated in ECC, use program RSIMPCUST to rebuild the tables for factory calendars in APO and then run /SAPAPO/CRES_CREATE_LC_RES to extend the resource in LC
also run /SAPAPO/TIMESTREAM_UPDATE for any time stream update.
This will update capacity profile as well resource capacity in planning book/ planning board.

And i n BW using Factory Calender i have to caluclate the Planned dates and Hours
We have to set the Factory Calender In BW r3 Guys doesn't maintain in it.

Vasu,
The calendar has to come from the source system , it is best that way.
If the factory calendar does not come from the source , how will you tally the information coming in from the source system.
My bit would be to first import all the calendars from the source ( RIght click on the source system connection in RSA 1 --> Transfer Global Settings --> Select Calendars --> Update the tables ( or replace the data ) and then execute )
In all likelihoood , you might be having calendars in the source...

Factory calendar in BI

I want to load a specific factorycalendar id to BW ,rather than transferring all the global settings.Is there any standard program to extract a specific factory calendar id?

The standard program loads all of the Factory Calendars. So, you can do it manually or load all calendars.
The third option is to create a custom program to retrieve and fill the calendar tables with the specific calendar you are looking for.
If it's only a space issue, I would load everything ... it's standard, consistent and can update automatically every month.

Factory calendar change in APO

Hi All
There has been a change in Factory calendar (holiday changes) in R/3
How do I make the changes for calendar in APO ? Never done this. step-by-step procedure would help.
Looks like there is a 'holiday calender' assigned to 'factory calendar' and I have the factory-shut down dates.

Pooja,
You can transfer Factory Calendars from R/3 to SCM. Here are the steps:
in SCM
Transaction RSA1
Select Source systems>SAP>your R/3 client.
Right click on the client>Select Transfer Global Settings.
Select Factory Calendars
Select Rebuild tables
Unfortunately, you may not update only a single calendar, you must update all calendars in SCM.
You can set this program up as a batch job using RSIMPCUST. Some companies run this regularly, depending on how often the calendars change in R/3 and how the changes will impact SCM.
If you have Timestreams that rely on your factory calendars, you will have to update these manually using /SAPAPO/CALENDAR transaction

Requirement regading factory Calendar-Require reply ASAP

My client's plant is closed for 3 weeks that means only manufacturing does not take place.
Shipping and purchasing must be go on as regular.
We tried assigning a different factory calendar mentioning the closure days at the plant level.
Customer came back saying the purchasing is also affected.
Is there any alternative that i have regualar calendar for even purchasing.
Please get back as their closure is nearing.

In the infopackage keep the load only up to PSA. In the process Chain first load the data upto PSA. Write a small ABAP program for filtering/deleting the unwanted data from the PSA. In the program refer to the PSA table of the relevant datasource.
use this ABAB program by selecting the process type ABAP program available under general services.
After the program process type then use the process type further update and so on in the process chain.

Working days between two date fields and Changing Factory Calendar

I have to calculate working days between two date fields excluding the weekends and public holidays for Switzerland.
I have written the routine using factory calender and its working fine except for two problems now:
1. If any one of the date field is empty then teh rsult should be zero.
2. And the below code is working from 1996 but my cleints wants it to work for years before 1996 as well.
I also tried to change the Start date in SCAL for factory calendar but it says enter values between 1995 to 2020.
I am new to ABAP. Please help me how i can achieve these for below code.
