Factory calendar where used?

Suppose a particular plant wants to add 2 days this month as holidays in their factory calendar.
Before doing the actual change I want to actually check whether there are work centers in other plants in the company code which is using this calendar. How can I check this ?
Is there a where used list for factory calendar?

Which Factory Calendar is used to determine the Sales Order delivery date

There is Factory calendar assigned to sales Org and shipping point as well.
I want to know which Factory calendar is used to determine the promise date on sales order acknowledgement and which one is used to determine the delivery date?

I am not sure what you mean by 'promise date'. For a given sales order item confirmation schedule, the system calculates the following dates:
Delivery Date
Goods Issue date
Loading Date
Material Availability date
Transportation planning date.
These dates are dependent upon what you have configured, and what your master data is. If you have transportation scheduling turned on (IMG>SD>Basic Functions>Delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling), then the durations are:
Route duration (transit), - affected by factory calendar assigned to the route (0VTC, that's a zero)
Picking time, packing time, Transportation planning time, and Loading time- affected by the factory calendar assigned to the shipping point (OVLZ, not a zero)
In addition, the Material availability date will be affected by the calendar assigned to the plant (WB03). The calculated dates may also differ on a given order schedule line, based on whether the sales order is backward scheduled or forward scheduled. This is particularly important when the calendars all have different holiday schedules.

I have done the normal SCAL maintenance and transferred Global settings from R/3. So all the Factory calendars have been transferred over. Our BI system is picking up the default factory Calendar as 'DE'.
How do I now tell BI I want to use specific Factory Calendar 'GB' (Great Britain) at ALL TIMES since this is the only one we will use.
Do we need to use a particular info object in query?

Factory calendar table update

Hello gurus,
An urgent requirement!!!
I have three Source system configured in BW.
The FActory cal id for the two systems were not found in BW.
When i use rebuild table for the factory calendar id using transfer global setting option in the source system it updates the table but over writes it when i use the same option for other source system.

the program doesn't admit the update on factory calendar!!
You need an alternative way.
I suggest two possibility:
Transaction SCU0 to compare all the tables by RFC in remote system, (you can automate this comparison in a program) But the comparing will be for all tables:
TCALS
TFACD
TFACS
TFACT
TFAIN
TFAIT
THOC
THOCD
THOCI
THOCS
THOCT
THOL
THOLT
THOLU
or for the IMG activity related to calendar.
Other way is to use the BC set functionality. When you make modification in a calendar in source system you insert all modifications in a request, then you can get this request in a BC set. After you can download it and upload in BW.

Hi Veeresh
A factory calendar distinguishes between working days and non working days. It is company specific calendar. when you have entered an exception rule for non working days and have chosen factory calendar then you must enter the factory calendar relevant to your company.

Difference between calendar used in capacity profile & factory calendar?

I am trying to check available capacities in planning book & found some ambiguities.
In /SAPAPO/RES01, factory calendar maintained in the resource is say Z1, but in the same page, the capacity profile tab uses a different calendar.Say in Z1, if X/X/XXXX is a working day, the one present inside capacity profile considers it as a holiday & the available capacity doesn't reflect in planning book.
In ECC, the plant where this work center is defined follows calendar Z1.
So my doubt is which calendar the capacity profile follows & how to ensure that it follows the same factory calendar Z1?

Hello Soumyajit,
few things you can check,
Plant and work center calender assignment should be same, Plant has precedent over WC
Check if in CFC9 you have correct change transfer mode set for resource.
Once calender updated in ECC, use program RSIMPCUST to rebuild the tables for factory calendars in APO and then run /SAPAPO/CRES_CREATE_LC_RES to extend the resource in LC
also run /SAPAPO/TIMESTREAM_UPDATE for any time stream update.
This will update capacity profile as well resource capacity in planning book/ planning board.

Using factory calendars in BI transformations

Do we have the option of using factory calendars in BI transformations, like we had in 3.x version update rules.
I did not see any option for choosing the factory calendar, so i guess we will have to use function modules.

I check in the source system assignment. The source system is checked. While replicating the DS from source system i replicated based on BI 7.0 only. While activating the cube or infoobject from BI content i did not get any transformation or transfer rules for activation. I just got the cube alone..

Vendor Evaluation using Factory Calendar?

Hello,
Can I set up Vendor Evaluation to consider the Factory Calendar when scoring with the Standard Delivery Date Variance?
I have set it up to allow the delivery to score 100% of the points if the delivery is in by 6AM the following day. But this does not work over the weekends.

There must be some way to do this.
If the factory is closed on the weekends and you miss a Friday delivery, even though you could have made the Saturday delivery you have to wait until Monday and SAP scores you as though you were 3 days late instead of the actual 1 day late.
How can I make Vendor Evaluation use the factory calendar?

How get the duration in days of 2 key figures with use of factory calendar

in a query i have two key figures (dates!). Now i want to get the duration in days between the two dates with the use of one factory calendar.
FYI
I made this in the past in the update rule (...DURATION_DETERMINE..) but now in this situation i have two cubes and i want to make an report on a multicub.

You would probably accomplish this with a virtual key figure. I did this and the performance was not bad. I developed a class with a signature for 2 dates and a calendar to return the number of business days.

Hi Liza,
start date and end dates are needed only if you want to know the number of working days between the two dates. In your case you can get number of working days between effective date and the begining of factory calendar validity date.
Check FM "DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE" . You have to pass parameters Date and Clendar ID. The output will be number of working days .
ie effective date minus TFACD-VJAHR
Table TFACD gives you the calendar ID and the validity dates( VJAHR and BJAHR)
