Factory calender issue

Hi all,
Here goes a problem with factory calender in project systems.
The Project performed by the client are flexible. in some projects they work considering sunday as holiday and in some cases they work on sundays.
we have only one plant assigned to the projects which has only one factory calender assigned. e.g plant 1000 to factory calender F1(considering sunday as holiday)
when i create a new project if i change the factory calender at project definition to F2(considering sunday as working) and then if i go futher creating activities. system will still take the default factory calender assigned to plant i.e F1 and not F2.. the factory calender F2 can be seen in project definition, wbs element and activities.
but when i change dates at network header level and try to schedule.. system is considering factory calender F1.
can anyone pls tell me how to solve this problem.

Please go to work centre --- capacity --- assign required calendar there.
As in the activity calendar will be picked up from work centre

Factory calender issue -reg.

During maintenance off we need to change the factory calender to holidays for production shut down purpose .
At the same time warehouse will work through which billing and other things happen.
if i set the days as holidays in factory calender ware hose is not able to bill during these days .
if i am setting as working days production planning is getting effected.
we can not use two different calenders as we can assign only one calender to a plant
what shall we do?

Hi,
The non working days and working days in the factory calender can be overrided
in the shift sequence .
steps to follow :
1 Go to Workcenters Scheduling tab page.
2.Click Capacties Header.
3. Go to intervals and shifts .
4. Edit --> insert --> insert interval
   Enter maintenance off date and in the workdays coloumn
   three options are available.
   option 1 : working days according to factory calender
   option 2 : Non working days( overrides factory
              calender)
   option 3 : working days (overrides factory calender)
This means for your problem you need to enter the option2
ie though you have specified in factory calender as working day, for all these workcenters the system will
plan in such a way as holiday on the specified date.
Other areas won't get affected.

Factory Calendar issue in creation of Sales Order/ Delivery Order

Hi all,
There is one issue. Our user is not able to create Sales Order/ delivery order as he is getting the below error message u201CDate 2010-12-27 lies after the end of Factory calendar F1u201D. But when I checked the plant in customization, the Factory calendar assigned is u201CKRu201D and not u201CF1u201D. So I donu2019t understand why this error message is appearing. But when I checked Factory calendar u201CF1u201D, it was valid only up to 2010 and there are special rules also set. Only few days in the year are working days. Factory Calendar u201CF1u201D description says u201CKOR customers billed on the 25th of every monthu201D
Please advice.

If F1 is the correct calander , then goto OP03-Calander Maintenece -select the Holoiday Caleneder and extende the Valaidity till 2020 and also Select the Factory Calander do the same till 2020 .Now Goback to main screen of OP03-Plant asisngement -re-assing the same F1 calaneder .
Secondly check the factory calender of the plant in OX10.Then in SPRO > enterprise structure >Definition > logistic execution>define shipping point .Select you shipping point and assgin the proper factory calender
.Goto OVX5 , choose your sales organization, click on details, Detailed information tab - Sales Org Calendar (maintain your factory calendar here not Sale Org Calander )
.Check in VOV8, use the "Propose delivery date" and "Lead time in Days" options to default today's date as the requested delivery date.

Factory Calender - Help Needed

I am getting this messges when i try and transaction MICN...PID for cycle count...
The date 14.07.2009 comes after the end of the validity period of the factory calendar that is assigned to the given plant
Could someone tell me how i fix this

See if your factory calender is properly maintained in 'SCAL' tcode.
If it is maintained properly, see if that is assigned to your plant in 'OX10' tcode. If this doesn't solve your issue, tell the detailed error message.

Date is not Defined in Factory Calender

Dear all,
We are facing some issue while releasing Process order. It states that Date is not defined in factory calender. and it throws out dates of for particular process order from 21.05.2014 to 15.07.2017.
Please check the attached screen shot & revert your thoughts.

I have found the issue. Actually operation quantities in the phases in the recipe was maintained improperly. Hence the charge quantity was getting multiplied with huge number hence resources allocated to them was considering that huge amt of quantity to be processed on it. Hence dates were coming the ranges of period 2014.

Days since Sales Order creation excluding holidays in factory calender

Hello,
Can anyone pls tell me the logic to retrieve the Days since Sales Order creation excluding the holidays in Swedish factory calender.
Current logic which we have thought of is
(The first succesful output - Order creation date)
But the result should exclude the Swedish Factory calender holidays (our client is from Sweden)
Now we need to establish the logic of fitting the factory calender into this whole issue. As we have to provide the logic to our ABAP er .

Your message is somewhat unclear to me.
When creating a sales order, a "Required Delivery Date" is needed.
This date is checked against the unloading calendar of the customer. If the system finds the requested delivery date = a non-working day of the customer calendar, it issues a warning (No goods accepted on DD.MM.YYYY. The next possible date is: DD.MM.YYYY (Message no. V1019). There does not seem to be any possibility of changing this warning to an error in the standard system; only possibility would be to modify the standard code.
If I have misterpreted your thread, then apologies, and feel free to elaborate on the issue some more.

Error at the time change factory calender (scal) validity period

Dear Experts
When I tried to change the factory calender Valid period with t code scal Fr. Year 1996 to Year 2011, it probe me the message "Please enter validity area between years 1995 - 2010." and I wasn't allow to save.
Pls advise how to solve the above problem.

your issue is clear that the factory or plant cllendar is defined for only 5 years 2005 to 2010
NOTE: pleaase contact your HR or FICO consultants for this issue & dont change any thing in PRD then you will be responsible for it

How to get past date based on duration and factory calender?

when i enter the duration ,i want to get the past date based on factory calender w.r.t current date
i.e if current date is 26th jun and duration is 10 , the past date should be 12th jun (which should exclude all holidays and weekends).

Activities happening on holidays even though th factory calender is maintai

hi all,
we are creating a sales document
the factory calender assigned to the plant and shipping point are 5 day week calenders
but the activities like loading date, goods issue date are falling on weekends i.e. saturday and sunday.
in the calender weekends are specified as holidays

assign the relevant calender to get the correct dates

Factory calender special rules

Hi MM consultants,
We have one issue related to Factory calender.
We updated the special rules in factory caleder stating that palnt is clsoed for some time in christmas.
Now the issue is after creating schedulign agreement delivery schedule release were sent to vendor mentioning that delivery is required during holidays and caused confusion.
My question is which table i can see the special rule created to the factory calneder so that i can confirm the releases were created before the calender updation.

Hi Yashwanth,
You can check the factory calendar and the special rules on SPRO > SAP NetWeaver > General Settings > Maintain Calendar.
There, select "Factory Calendar" and click on "display" button.
In the next screen, select your country and click on the "Calendar" button that is in the top of the screen.
In the next screen, make double click on the year 2012.
There you will see the Public Holidays of the Factory Calendar.
Now, yo check the special rules, go back to the screen that is showing the countries and make double click on the country selected.
In the next screen, click on the "Special rules" button and you will see the special rules for the country selected.
But, for the case of MM, the system is only sending a warning message when you are selecting a Public Holiday or Special Day in the delivery date. The message is as follow:
Delivery date: next workday is 10.04.2012
Message no. ME080
Diagnosis
The system has determined the next workday from the factory calendar that is assigned to the specified plant.
If you don't want that the Public holidays or Special days can be selected, you need to change this message as error message.
You can do this on SPRO > Materials Management > Purchasing > Environment Data > Define Attributes of System Messages > System messages.

do you just want to blame others because the customizing is missing?
If you only implement FI and no MM, is it then still the MM guy?
Whos is responsible for what is something you have to define in your implementation team, especially for shared customizing.
In our implementations it is done by the consultant who needs the entry first to move on.
And if anther cosnultant has an issue with the setting made, then both talk to each other, instead of just changing the setting and screwing up others work.

Invalid factory calender error in creating subcontrating po

Hi,
Please check the path.
IMG>Enterprise Structure>Definition>Logistics - General>Define, copy, delete, check plant-->Define Plant.
Here you can find the which factory calender is assigned to your plant.
Then go to Tcode SCAL , select the Holiday calender and edit it . Double click on your holiday calender and change it i.e valid From year to To year. Go back , select the factory calender and edit it , give valid From year to To year.

Consideration of factory calender in threshold values

Hi,
I need to consider the factory calender in the threshold values to check the due date of a task or a checklist item.
For example:
The task/or checklist item is due in 11 days (and the factory calender should be condsidered)
Does anybody know how to implement these checks in the threshold values of cprojects?

Dear Friend,
Ideally you should not change anything on Production server directly.
The normal & universally acceptable way is to transport the changes from Development or Quality to Production.
Still if you want to make changes on Production Server Directly (which even i dont recomend) you need to make Production Server in change mode thru T-Codes SCC4 & SE03 & make necessary changes.
Let me know if you need to know how to use T-Codes SCC4 & SE03.
