Your laptop came wirh Windows 7 Home Premium. Changing display language legally is not possible unless you get an option during start of install. But in an OEM laptop chances are that you've to live with the language Windows came with from factory.
Please read this: Windows 7: Can I change the display language in Windows 7 Home Premium ?

    The reset link will show on your account if you have a rescue email address on it, if you only have alternate email addresses then it won't show.
    If the country where you and your iTunes account are isn't on this page (you need to be in a country to use its store) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

  • FW 7.3.x Factory Reset procedures have changed

    A lot of people can't return their new Airport Express back to their default factory settings. That's because the factory reset procedures have changed.
    The old "press and hold the reset button when plugging in until green light flashes four times" no longer work on the new FW 7.3.x (The new 802.11n Airport Express).
    New procedures (Ref: Airport Express Setup Guide):
    On page 32: Simple procedures (retain user profiles) - hold the reset button for 10 seconds
    On page 33: To remove profiles as well - hold reset while plug in the AX, don't let go and then hold the reset for another 10 seconds.

    Agree.
    No matter of holding the reset button down resets the AExN
    to defaults.

    This sorted it for me:
    Backup your iPhone to iCloud (I believe backing up to iTunes will work too). Now go to "Settings --> General --> Reset --> Erase All Content and Settings" to completely restore your iPhone to factory settings. Assuming you've backed up to iCloud, you'll be asked when setting up your iPhone if you want to restore from an iCloud backup. Choose that option and once your iPhone has restored itself from your backup, this annoying problem will finally be gone! (was for me anyway).
    To restore from an iTunes backup, connect your iPhone to your computer, load iTunes. Click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up.

    Hi , Welcome to the HP Forums! I noticed that you are trying to change the language to English with your HP Officejet 4632. I am happy to help!  Have you tried scrolling up and down through the whole list of languages? Perhaps you don't see English because the language of the printer is set to some other language. Do you know what language the printer is showing? In the meantime, I have sent you a private message with the instructions on how to do a factory reset, please give that a try and let me know what happens! If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions. You can also try using Google Translate, to try and understand the words on the screen. Hope this helps!  “Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.”

  • Permanently change language in E4200

    For some reason my E4200 keeps going back to Swedish (I'm in Sweden) even after I have manually set it to English and making sure to save the changes. What I'm talking about is the WEB interface reached by going to 192.168.1.1
    Why does it do that and how can I make it stick to English without switching back to Swedish all the time by itself?
    TIA,
    Richard

    Yes, I tried doing a factory reset but still same problem. Also tried clearing the IE cache but have yet to try another WEB browser. But should IE in fact being the culprit I think more people would have reported this problem considering the number of IE users out there. And I thought all settings done are stored in the router so when I change the language and it does change and I then choose to save the settings I can't understand why I then all of a sudden have Swedish menus again and sometimes even before ending the session to the WEB interface.
    I think this router really is great and a colleague of mine bought one himself and he has the very same problem with the language setting not sticking so doesn't seem to be a unique issue on my side.

  • Factory Reset/Zero Out Reset my 755p

    I need to delete all of the data from my Verizon 755p before I return damaged hardware to Verizon. I looked at the Factory Reset instructions, Article ID: 15574 in the Palm KB, but I didn't see specific instructions relating to the 755p. Will the Centro or 700/680 directions work for deleting all of my data?
    Does a Factory Reset really delete all of the data, or can it still be recovered?
    Also, is there a way to Zero Out Reset a 755p like the 650?
    Thanks.
    Post relates to: Treo 755p (Verizon)
    Post relates to: Treo 755p (Verizon)

    I was upgrading to another phone and also wanted to do a factory. the instructions in the palm knowledge base (kb.palm.com) are below, but they didnt quite work for me. I have an ACCESS POWERED screen that comes up before the Palm screen - came with some OS update or other. I moved things in the procedure below a bit and got the results I wanted. Change the below instructions as follows:
    . Add step 1a to press and hold Power/End - yes, before you even remove the battery.
     . Add step 3a to observe the "ACCESS POWERED" screen for 15 seconds and then release the Power/End
     . Ignore all of Step 4
    . Go to Step 5, then step 6 - your Treo 755p will appear to do another reset and come up "fully clean."
    . lgnore Step 7 - the language selection screen never appears.
    Good luck. This was quick and flawless for me - and with the desired results.
    Factory Reset for Centro and Treo 755p
    If you've set a password on your smartphone, any hard reset will automatically become a Factory Reset. With this method, you'll enter a password and then perform a hard reset.
     On your smartphone, launch the Security application.
    If the Password box says "Unassigned," tap the box and create a password for your smartphone. Press Applications to exit the Security application.
    Now that a system password is established, we'll perform a hard reset to complete the factory reset. With the device face down, remove the battery door. Removing the stylus may make it easier to remove the battery for the next step.
    Remove the battery. Then put the battery back in.
    When the Palm logo appears, press and hold Power/End until the black status bar at the bottom of the screen fills and disappears, and then release Power/End.
    If you performed this reset correctly, you should see a white screen with black text saying "reformatting in progress" (any other activity - such as the Palm OS logo and then the Applications launcher appearing - means the reset was performed incorrectly; try again). Your smartphone will appear to reset again after the "reformatting in progress" screen disappears.
    When the Erase all data? prompt appears, press Up to confirm the Factory reset.
    When the language selection screen appears, select the same language you selected for your desktop software. The Factory reset is now complete.

  • Factory reset - the what, why, and how for Gingerbread

    I wanted to share this information regarding a Factory Reset and how it is used for Gingerbread - both the what, why, and how - in case anyone is interested in the details. If you embark on this process, this thread is worth a close read. thanks to d.harris for writing this up for the SOAK group. good luck everyone and remember, YMMV.
    First, what does a "factory reset" do? The short answer is: it will return your phone to the condition it was in when you first purchased it EXCEPT the Android version will match your phone's latest update. For example, I had Android 2.2.1 (Froyo) on my phone before the "soak". My phone was updated to Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread or "GB") during the "soak". I had some trouble with video performance in the Fox News app and missing album cover art in the Google Music app. So I decided to do the factory reset. After the reset was finished, my Droid X still had Android 2.3.3 on it but all of the settings had been restored to their factory defaults. And presumably, all Android operating system (OS) caches had been flushed. All of the data that was stored in my phone's memory was cleared. So my contacts were all gone. And I had to reactivate my phone (*228 1) just like a new phone and reenter my Google account info.
    Does a factory reset actually clear the entire contents of the phone's memory and re-install Android from scratch? (That's what I wish it did.) But I'm not sure that it does that because the entire process seems to go too fast for that. However, a factory reset does seem to do a better job of cleaning out the remnants of the previous OS (Froyo 2.2.1) than a standard "update" does. But that's not all.
    The factory reset also clears all of the apps that were installed in the phone's memory. And it clears all of the app data that was installed in the phone's memory. So you will have to reinstall all of your apps from the Android Market (or wherever they came from). Normally, you do not have to pay for them again because the Android Market remembers your previous purchases as long as you register your phone with the same Google account.
    However, the Android Market does not remember the free apps that you installed---so you should make a list of all your apps before you reset your phone so you won't forget the free ones. The reason I wrote "installed in the phone's memory" above is because a factory reset gives you a choice whether or not to clear your phone's micro SD memory card. If desired, it will leave it alone. So any apps or data will still be present on your card after the reset. However, your phone will not be aware of the apps on the memory card because all "knowledge" of them will have been erased from your phone's internal memory---you'll still have to reinstall ALL of your apps. But the data files will still be there. Regarding the "built-in" apps that come pre-installed with Android, they will also be restored to their original state and version when you do a factory reset. So you'll need to update some of them (like updating Google Maps and updating Adobe Flash from 10.1 to 10.3).
    Before you do a factory reset, you should have a fully charged battery becaues you do NOT want to run out of power in the middle of a reset---that could "brick" your phone. I always take an extra precaution: in addition to a fully charged battery, I also connect my phone to AC with the Motorola AC-to-USB charging adapter that came with it. Not only does it insure that I won't run out of power, it also keeps my battery fully charged so I have a 100% charge after the factory reset (you'll have a lot of work to do afterward to reinstall your apps and restore all of your Android and app settings back to your preferences).
    Here's a pre reset checklist:
    • Export your contacts to your SD card so you can easily restore them later (Contacts/Dialer menu > Import/Export > Export contacts to: SD card).
    • Make a list of all of the apps that you installed (Android menu > Manage Apps > Downloaded tab).
    • Get a copy of your Google account login info (user name and password).
    • Get a copy of your Verizon Backup Assistant PIN (if you use this service).
    • Turn off your phone and pull its battery. Wait 30 seconds or more and reinstall the battery and turn the phone back on. This will make sure that there is nothing hinky in your phone's volatile memory as the factory reset begins.
    • Fully charge your phone's battery and plug the AC charging adapter into the phone.
    Now you're ready to do the deed. Follow these steps:
    1. If it's not already on, turn on Google's "back up my data" option with Android menu > Settings > Privacy > Back up my data. This is required for the next step.
    2. Turn off the "automatic restore" option with Android menu > Settings > Privacy > Automatic restore. This will prevent your phone from trying to download every paid app that was previously on your phone all at once. It is much better---especially if you have a lot of apps---to install them one at a time. Plus, you may not want some of them to be reinstalled right away if you are trying to determine if one of them is causing trouble under GB 2.3.3.
    3 If you do not want to use Google's "back up my data" service to restore your wi-fi passwords and such, then return to Step 1 and turn it off.
    4. Begin the factory reset with Android menu > Settings > Privacy > Factory Data Reset. You'll be asked to confirm that you really want to do a factory reset and you'll be given the opportunity to clear your micro SD memory card as a part of the process. I chose not to clear my memory card because I have a 32 GB card with "tons" of music and other files that I do not want to have to restore (it would take hours).
    When should you do a factory reset? Everyone should do it before they give their phone away, sell it, or discard it. You don't want someone else to have access to your personal data! And, a factory reset can be a helpful troubleshooting tool when faced with problems.
    By the way, my factory reset did not help the video problem I was having with the Fox News app nor did it enable Google's Music app to find all of the album art on my micro SD card. Both problems persisted after the reset under GB 2.3.3.
    Finally, there are other things you can do to flush old data from your phone such as clearing the cache partition of your phone's built-in memory. This requires the use of its "Android system recover" menu. Even though I expect this cache data to be cleared during a factory reset, I did it after my reset just to make sure. Clearing the cache partition is usually what folks try before a factory rest so they can (hopefully) avoid the factory reset. I'll leave it to a Motorola staff person to go into that.

    OK, got it ...  the Power ON Factory reset procedures might have changed with GB ...
    To get to a Factory reset using the Power up method:
    1.  Power Off phone
    2. Press & Hold the HOME Button
    3. Press and Hold the Power ON button.
    You come up to the Triangle with the Exclamation mark & android guy.
    Press BOTH the Up and Down Buttons at the same time.  This brings up the Blue menu of options.
    use the Up/Down arrows to scroll thru the choices. Press the POWER Button to Select the menu item you choose.
    You can harmlessly test this and just choose to Reboot without doing anything, just to see how it works in case you ever need to do this in the future.
    edit:  It was concluded in the test group that they changed this process to align it with the new DX2 as the camera button isn't hard-wired like it is in the DX. So likely they just wanted to make this process the same for both platforms.  At least it sounds like a good reason...

  • Can't do Factory Reset on New Airport Express

    I just tried to install a new Airport Express today on my existing network (Wired to a port on my Airport Extreme). The new Airport Express shows up in the Airport Utility on my Macbook, but no matter what I do (manual or continue) it hangs for about a minute while saying "Reading the Airport Express configuration" and reports an error (-6753 "An error occurred while reading the configuration".
    As a side note, which I can't seem to talk to the Airport Express, I have no problem getting to the Airport Extreme and doing whatever I want using the Airport Utility.
    I decided to do a Factory Reset to get things back to the beginning. I followed the instructions (unplugged, held reset button, plugged back in, waited while holding the button). At no point did it flash green four times. Instead after about 10 seconds it started blinking yellow rapidly (sounds like the hard reset which is done with power on).
    All the Airport Utility comes up with is the Name, IP Address, Version (a revision behind at 7.3.1), and Airport ID. It also shows the icon for the device with a yellow indicator.
    Ultimately I'd like to use this device to get better network coverage upstairs -- possibly as a 5 GHz-only port, and then set the Airport Extreme to 2.4 GHz-only.
    Any ideas why I can't do a factory reset?
    About all the Airport Utility comes up with is the IP, MAC and firmware revision
    All I know about this new APexpress is that it is one rev behind on Firmware (7.3.1) but it doesn't want to update.

    It appears that the Factory Reset mode simply DOES NOT WORK.
    By attaching directly to the APExpress via a ethernet cable (direct, no switch, so nothing else there), and by turning off WiFi on my MacBook, I was able to discover and connect to the APExpress. I changed from extend network to join network, and udpated, then was presented with a green LED. I thought things were working, so I removed the ethernet cable and tried connection by WiFI again, but still the APE would NOT show up.
    So I did another direct connect with WiFi turned off. I turned the radio off in the APE as well and was able to connect to it and update the firmware to 7.3.2. Finally I turned the radio back on, and told it to form its own network.
    In this mode I am back to getting the flashing yellow LED, and I still can't see the APextreme.
    So it looks like either I have a bad APE, or there is some firmware bug between it and the Airport Utility. In any event, after I first connected to the APE via WiFi, fresh out of the box, I was never able to connect again in a way that would allow me to actually configure the product. I've only been able to do this via the ethernet connection and WiFi off.
    And, of course, the Factory Reset simply DOES NOT WORK, so I have no way to put it back to the way it was when I first opened the box yesterday.
    I'm hoping someone has a solution for this, but beginning to doubt it.

  • How to reload the screen when changing languages in JavaFX 2?

    I'm beginner with javaFX and i need to change language of the screen. but i have no idea how to reload the screen when the language was changed. The application have a button where have the language available. I want just refresh screen when the user change language.
    Here is the start method to show the stage.
        @Override
        public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception
            this.stage = stage;
            Locale locale = Locale.getDefault();
            ResourceBundle rb = ResourceBundle.getBundle("resources/Label",locale);
            loader = new FXMLLoader(getClass().getResource("FXMLDocument.fxml"),rb);
            root = (Parent)loader.load();
            FXMLDocumentController controller = (FXMLDocumentController) loader.getController();
            controller.setMain(this);
            scene = new Scene(root);
            stage.setScene(scene);
            stage.show();
    here is the function to change the language(in the same class with start function),the rb is the new ResourceBundle:
        public void refresh(ResourceBundle rb)
              //change the language here
    1. I don't want to use the resourceBundle to get value in resource file and set label in scene one by one.like following:
    this.btnLabel.setText(rb.getString(key.test));
    2. I don't want to reload the scene,like following:
        public void refresh(ResourceBundle rb)
             try
                loader = new FXMLLoader(getClass().getResource("FXMLDocument.fxml"),rb);
                root = (Parent)loader.load();
                scene.setRoot(root);
                FXMLDocumentController controller = (FXMLDocumentController) loader.getController();
                controller.setMain(this);
            catch(Exception err)
                err.printStackTrace();
    So do we have a solution to just set the resourceBundle and reload the scene easier?
    Thanks and best regards!

    Your option 2 (reload the FXML for the scene using the new resource bundle as a parameter), is the way this would normally be done and what I would recommend.
    Failing that, you could use option 1 of individually resetting the label text of labeled items (I don't really recommend this).
    Why don't you want to use option 2?
    Perhaps it is because there is some internal state of the UI which differs from the initial state when the the UI is first loaded (e.g. user has typed text in a text field and you want to preserve that).  If that's the case you will need to either go with your option 1 of individually resetting the label text of labeled items, or implement something which preserves the UI state and user data by saving it in memory or to disk, reloading the UI via the FXMLLoader (essentially your option 2), then restoring the UI state and user data to what it was before the language change.  Preserving and restoring the modified state seems complicated to me if you have a lot of state, so I wouldn't really advise this approach unless you really needed it.
