Factory setting for Satelite M305-S4919

hi everyone can you help me please,i need to re set my satelite M305-S4915 to factory setting,i have tried using the disc but failed,i got crazy with this laptop and idon't know where else to asked

i would say to back up your files on an external hdd and do a restore to factory out of box. once you back everything up try holding zero(above P) during boot and see if it will let you return to factory.

  • What is the default/factory setting for the brightness on the iPhone 4?

I prefer to have default/factory settings for my iPhone 4. Someone moved the brightness slider and I would like to change it back. A screenshot would be rather preferred.

Just set it to a level that is comfortable for you. Why does it matter if it is the "default" position?

  • Restoring Factory Setting for nokia 5800

i just installed a new theme for my nokia 5800 then when it was installed i tried it then suddenly my phone hanged and i cant press any buttons. I removed the battery and switched the phone on again then now my phone is running real slooooooow now i can't even unlock the keys now!!!!! ... anyway i was thinking that i'd restore the factory setting of my phone it will run smoothly again. anyone knows how to do it?? thanks in advance

From Ovi store you can set your account preferences to install to memory card, whenever I sideload applications, the phone usually asks where I want to install. Not everything can be stored to memory card, most Nokia stuff insists on installing on C and so only install Nokia software you REALLY need or want  !

  • What is the factory setting for the Brightness Control?

Hi. I'm calibrating my monitor and I have to set the Brightness Control back to the Factory Setting. Does anybody know what the factory setting is? Thank you!

That may still be too high. The brightness is really cranked up on monitors these days. I doubt even at the minimum setting if you can get to the recommended luminance of 150 cd/m².
This link might help you determine the best setting. As you are adjusting the brightness up and down, you might see a subtle difference; a lot depends on the capabilities of the monitor.

What have you already tried? Have you tried powering it off and on again? Hard resetting it? Do you get an error when you try to reset to factory defaults?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Macs don't come with a password. You have to set up the password during the initial setup. If you have forgotten your password, follow these steps to reset your password > http://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4101

  • Security code for Nokia X2-01 (any factory-set cod...

    Hello,
My Nokia phone X2-01 seems to have a preset security code, although I have never set any codes nor pin codes since I purchased it. I just wanted to delete some message counters logs, but it asks me for security code when I select  "clear counters menu". Is there any factory set - security code for Nokia phones?
Thank you once again for your advice. Regards..

Did you buy it second hand ? If so, the earlier user may have set a security code ..
If thats not the case then you may try the Software Recovery Tool. If that also doesn't help, an Authorised Care Point is the only place where the Code can be reset ..

If you didn't back it up, your data is gone. There is no "solution" after the fact.

  • Is "restore factory setting" good for set's health...

anyone plz help me...i want to know abt "restore factory settings"
Q#1 : is "restoring factory setting" good for phone's health? And how often we should do that?
Q#2 : is there any possibilities of phone becoming slower after doing "restore factory setting"?
anybody knows abt these plz help......

    1. Do not think so...as it doesn't erase any data but just revert the SETTINGS back to Out-of-Box state..Needs to be done ONLY when need arises..
    2. No. Only when it switches ON after the Factory reset for the first time.. it will take a little longer time..

  • What is factory default "Sharing & Permissions" setting for User folders?

    System:
    Mac OS X Lion 10.7.2
    MacBook Air (Mid 2011)
    Single User – Administrative Account
    Question:
What is factory default “Sharing & Permissions” setting for User folders (Desktop, Downloads, Library, Movies, Music, Pictures, Public), subfolders, and documents and other contents?
I’m thinking the factory default “Sharing & Permissions” for all of the above (except Drop Box in the Public folder) is as follows, but not certain.
    Name                          Privilege
    myusername (Me)    Read & Write
    staff                            Read only
    everyone                   Read only

Are these also the settings on your Documents folder and the various files in the Documents folder?  Same question for your Library folder?
    Name                          Privilege
    myusername (Me)    Read & Write
    everyone                   No Access

  • What is the factory set passcode for iPhone 4s?

Hi Everyone. As far as I know, I have never set a passcode on my iPhone 4s.
I do have a passcode for when my phone goes to sleep, but when I go to Settings/General/Restrictions, my passcode does not work. I always get the Try Again in 60 Minutes message.
    Any hints?
Is there a factory preset passcode that I need to know about?
    Thanks in advance.

There is no factory set passcode.
The restrictions code can be different than the home screen passcode.
If you forgot the restrictions code per iOS: Understanding Restrictions (parental controls) you will need to perform a factory restore: Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings
If you forget the home screen passcode: iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled

  • What is the factory setting pin code for my ipod touch?

im looking to make a purchase in app on my ipod touch and i need to switch off the restrictions under general settings. in order to this i need the pin code which is 4 digits. this must be factory set as ive not set it previously.
    thanks

A: what is the factory setting pin code for my ipod touch?

There is no default setting. You have to set the passcodes. If you cannot remember them, then see:
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
Connect your device to your computer.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
    Select the Summary tab.
    Select the Restore option.
When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up, you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:

  • I tried to restore my iPhone 5 to factory setting and when i did it attached to a person i do not know apple id so now i can't use the phone. I purchase the phone from sprint and used it for 2 years and never had a problem.

Hi - I tried to restore my iPhone 5 to factory setting so I could give it to my son but when I did it reset to someone else's apple id. I don not know this person and I am the only owner of the phone purchased from Sprint. How do I get this phone to work?

Its called Activation Lock. Take the phone to Sprint and explain your problem. It is their fault and responsibility to properly reset used phones.
