This depends on the go live date and past data upload. The past date up to which you want to create records and want to upload history in PS and other modules uo to that that date your factory calendar should exists.

How to set a start date for inputDate calendar

The inputDate component in the ADF faces library is not allowing the user to choose a start day other than the current day for the calendar. (We are using JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.0) We found out that a fix was made to MyFaces trinidad in July 2006 for this exact issue(http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TRINIDAD-458).
Does anyone know if this fix ever made it to the ADF library, or if there is an existing way we can resolve this issue.

You can set default value to custom field thru Lookup table. Assign lookup table to custom field and set default value to some lookup value (Note: check the “Choose a value to use as a default when adding new item” checkbox).

How do you use the "Item Containing Start/End Date" in a Calendar?

I want to do a calendar where the days shown will be conditional to a certain interval. Now I though I could achieve that using the Item Containing Start Date of a calendar. But it doesn't seem to work. In the help it says :
Enter an item in the application which holds the start date of the calendar. The format of the date in this item must be YYYYMMDD.
This is what I did here

I have 3 fields. 2 for the Start Date and End Date and 1 for the "Date Item" parameter. Only the latter has an effect on the calendar display, the calendar only displays the month of the "Date Item" (in monthly mode).
Wether or not I check "Begin at Start of Interval", it doesn't affect the way those fields are affecting the Calendar.
So, how do we use that "Item Containing Start/End Date" parameter?

Function module SD_SCHEDULING: delivery date calculation factory calendar

Hi,
When I create or change a sales order, system calculates the delivery time and date (ETDAT) using transit duration and factory calendar. Currently factory calendar says that transportation leaves every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Unfortunately, function module SD_SCHEDULING calculates the delivery date using factory calendar dates, i.e. <b>NOT</b> using working dates.
Function module reads the factory calendar from table TVRO (Routes) and field SPFBK (Factory calendar key) in subroutine GET_CUSTOMIZING, and saves factory calendar id in CS_SCHEDDU-TRANSIT_FC. The calculation itself is done later in function module DATE_CONVERT_TO_FACTORYDATE.
For example, if transit duration is 3 working days, function module calculates the delivery date using Monday (first day), Wednesday (second day) and Friday (third day). Thus, the result is Friday, which is wrong. Result should be of course Wednesday (Monday first day, Tuesday second day and Wednesday third day).
I'd like to use working days instead of calendar days. I am planning to recalculate the delivery date in some user exit, but before I start coding, I'd like to hear your opinion: <i>Is it possible to use working days instead of calendar days when calculating delivery date?</i> (I believe it must be, since my case is very normal). If it is, I assume that this can be achieved with IMG, but how and where?
I am using SAP R/3 Enterprise.

Send Ex factory date from R3 to APO and populate in PO in APO as start date

Hi ,
Need your expertise in one scenario. SAP IS retail is combined with SAP APO.
1) Purchase Order is ciffed to APO.
2) Based on delivery date in PO in R3....APO calcualated date for distribution demand at source location by taking lead time from tlanes
2) Requirement is to extract 'Ex factory date' from table EXPD in R3 and then send this date to APO.
3) This new date should replace the starting date of PO in APO...in keyfigure Distribution demand at source location.
Could you please suggest the way to do it? Will appreciate your response.

I have also started with purchase order user exit (CIFPUR01 Exit Function Module- Exit_SAPLMEAP_001) at CIF outbound in R3 which will capture the date from table in R3..WIll be sent to APO...APO inbound user exit( APOCF006 ( Functional Module EXIT_/SAPAPO?SAPLCIF_PU_001) will overwrite the date at soucre location in key figure Dist Demadn TLB Confirmed or by chaing date at order level.

I think there are two more points....
1) If dates are changed in table ( EXPD) then change pointer will not trigger CIFFIng thsoe changes to APO as the field is not CIF relevant. So it wont be real time integration. Work around can be to set up CIF batch job for PO at regular interval. But I am wondering if we can get some way to make it real time integrationj through CIF. Will appreciate reply on this.
2) Have one more concern and I think its bit crucial to know the answer at this stage ....if date change in key figure Distribution Demand TLB Confirmed figure happens in such a way that lead time between date at soucre and at target doesnot match with available Means of Tranport(MOT) lead times in TLanes then what will happen? WIll it rescheudle the dates as per date at target loctaion to match with lead time in Tlanes or will it not touch it? WIll appreciate reply of experts on this and also on how to achieve this in APO

Factory calender date

Hi,
To the existing date i need to minus 10 days .
It should return the factory calender date.
10 days to be considered as factory calendar days.
i mean it should not consider sat, sund and hoildays for the facoty calender id.
ex 30/03/2008 - 10days
should return 14/03/2008 not 20/03/2008(exclude sat, sun and hoildays)
could you let me know the function module available

If the starting date is in Column A, and you want to calculate what the date would be 60 days later, in Column B, write in Column B:
=A+60
Couldn't be much easier.

Recovering data after factory reset (security issue)

Hello there,
Recently a friend of mine asked me how to erase all data on an iPhone ? I pointed to him to "factory reset".
Now, I see a bunch of websites that show how to recover data after factory reset using their software, not sure if they work as advertised or not.
What I would like to know is if the user wants the data to be erased and non-recoverable, is this the best option or if there is any other option available in iPhone that can make the data un-recoverable. We want to make sure the data is un-recoverable after factory reset.

unfortunately this doesn't answer my question.
I do know the option to "erase all content and settings" in iPhone.
What I want to know is to make sure once done, no one can recover that data back. Since this phone will be sold off to some stranger, we don't want them to have access to the data.
Here are a few websites from my just preliminary search results that show how to recover data.
just google "extracting data after factory reset iPhone" and you will see a bunch of websites offering their products to recover. So I want to check if this is so simple, how can we really make sure the data is wiped off clean.

Start date End date of the current Calendar month

Hi All,
How can we get the Start date of the Current Calendar month and the End date of the current Calendar month , when we given certain date in the selection screen.
For Eg : In the Selection screen if I give date as Todays date 04042008, we should be getting the Start date of the month as 01042008 and End date of the month as 31042008.

Difference between DataSource & JDBC Data Source Factory

Can anyone tell me what the difference between a 'DataSource' and 'JDBC Data Source
Factory' is ? I see both these on the Weblogic admin console. I have reviewed
the documentation but it is not clear to me what the difference between the two
is and what situations each on is appropriate for.

I have read literally ALL the online documents related to JDBC Data Source Factories
including the one you provided below, but I still do not understand what they
are for. I have also searched in Google but to no avail.
I will try to be more specific as to where my confusion lies.
1)Why would anyone ever choose a JDBCData Source Factory instead of a Tx Data
Source or plain vanilla (not XA) Data Source? EJBs connect just fine with the
latter 2.
2)What should go inside the properties box?

b)Then, the document goes on to describe a syntax for binding a Connection Pool

Pool, then why go through all the fuss of redefining the Driver Class Name, URL,
etc., when those are already defined on the Connection Pool?
When you setup either a Data Source or a TX Data Source, WebLogic does not require
that information since it was all setup in the pool. Why is it needed here?

Call object was called with start date in the previous month

We have a single cycle maintenance plan for 30 days.
Shift Factor Late Compl.   : 100%

Call no . 11 was a plan date of 14.08.2009 has completion date 14.08.2009. Schedule type/status has "scheduled complete".
Call no. 12 was called on 13.09.2009 which is in the past.
Can someone explain why the system called the order with a starting date in the previuos month , that is , 13.09.2009.
And how to rectify it to make it current date for the next call object?

Basic finish date earlier than basic start date while backward scheduling

I am encountering an issue where in when I am selecting backward scheduling for a process order and I am entering the Basic finish date, afte which system is giving me a Basic startdate which is after the basic finish date.
For eg:- When i give the basic finish date as 08.12.2011, system is giving me basic start date as 09.12.2011
I have checked the recipe of the material. In the recipe one major flaw that i found out was that all the activity timings were maintained as 0. But when i created a similar scenario in the testing client, i am not getting the issue.

Check what is maintawined in number of days the start day is allowed to be in the past in scheduling parameters of the order type, in OPU3. If there is an opening float defined in schedule margin key of the order, and concerning this float backward scheduling finds a start date which falls into past, lead time scheduling will automatically switch to forward scheduling starting from today. 9.12.2011 could have been deducted this way. Also check the factory calendar if days upto 9.12.2011 are defined as working days.

Network Header Start Date is not accepted by the system

Hi,
When I try to create a Network and put the start date I get an error message-
Date 01.01.2011 is later than the validity period of the factory calendar
Message no. CO032
Procedure
Enter a date which lies within the validity period of the factory calendar.
And this does not allow me to cfreate the network.
But the same date is accepted by the system for WBS element and activities.So I doubt it has anything to do with the factory calendar.

The validity end-period has been maintained as 2011 for the calandar.
One difference I noticed is that for activity and WBS element the calendar maintained is 01.While for network header we do not have any explicit factory calendar concept but I think the system derives the Factory Calendar from the assigned Plant.But even in the Plant the Factory Calendar maintained has the validity end-period as 2011.
In the network header's Basic Start field when I hit F4,then all the 2011 dates show in Italics-like the non-working SAT and SUN days.

Sched.start date not allowing on week-ends for fwd scheduling process order

Hello Experts,
For a process order & scheduling typr forward/in time if I take sat or sunday as a start date then if I click on schedule, system changes it to previous workin day (friday). But however if i select backward/in time scheduling type & put week ends as finish day then system does not change this date.
How can I make system to allow schedule start date on week ends also for forward/in time scheduling type. in a factory calendor sat & sunday are holidays. while for work center, calender sat & sunday are marked as working days.

it depends upon client requirement.you must have defined the holiday calender as well.if you select the public holidays in your factory calender.then system will allow you to do your daily transctions on public holidays as well and vice versa.so better go with all options selected .and plz check at your end
