Fade Between Snapshots?

Is there a plugin that lets you fade between snapshots? Let's say I have two snapshots of a photo and I'd like the the final result to be somewhere in the middle between them, regarding all changes.
Or even more specific: I'd like to be able to fade the White Balance between As Shot and Auto. Often they're both too extreme, so I switch between them, check the numbers and manually enter ones between them. A way to do that with a single slider would be very helpful. But doing the same for complete snapshots, as mentioned above, would be even more powerful.

Just found out this is possible with the plugin The Fader (» The Fader Capture Monkey) with LR5.

  • Pls tel me what is the diffrence between snapshot isolation level of mssql and oracels isolation level

    Hi,
In mssql i am using following things.
I have two database D1 and D2, i am using snapshot isolation (ALTER DATABASE MyDatabase
SET ALLOW_SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION ON) in both database.
    Following is the situation.
    1) There is  one SP sp1 ( it can be in any database d1 or d2), it updates d2 from d1.
    2) d2 is used for reading by web, execept above SP sp1
    3) d1 gets updation from web in readcommite isolation.
    4) both database will be on same instence of mssql.
Q1) wanted to know how to implement the same thing in oracle 11x express edition.
Q2) is there any diffrence between snapshot isolation level of mssql and oracel.
any link would be help full.
    yours sincerely

    >Q1) should i set the option to OFF after the process(ts) is complete
    No keep it on.
    >Q2) ALLOW_SNAPSHOT_ISOLATION  ON , will affect other isolation level's transactions
No it will not affect any other transaction isolation level.
    >Q3) is my choice of isolation level for process(ts) is correct or there can be any other solution.
Seems fine, although there are probably many other solutions.

  • Difference between Snapshot scenario and non cumulative scenario

    Hi,
Can any one please tell me the difference between snapshot scenario and non cumulative scenario in
    inventory management.
Also please give example. I read the pdf " how to handle inventroy management scenarios", but can any one please give some easy to understand examples.
    full points guaranteed-

    hi,
In Non-cummulative method your stock movements are stored in the cube (inflow and outflow of NC KF) and the Total stock is calculated during query execution. Hence if there are lot of movements in the stock for the period you want to report on, query will take long time to execute.
In case of Snap shot scenario Stock movements are not loaded to cube. you use ODS to load the status of the stock and then from ODS you can load to Cube once in a month. So only summarized data will be availabe in Cube. Reporting will be fast.

  • Fade between Keynote & Quicktime Player

OK, so I have searched and discovered that the 'H' key will pause a presentation and switch to the last application (somehow missed that one!), but what I would like to be able to do is fade out the Keynote presentation to reveal a looping full-screen Quicktime movie which has been playing in the background.
(Alternatively, if I could fade in a movie on top of a running Keynote presentation, that would have the same effect)
The Quartz engine should allow such a trick - but I can't find a way to Applescript changes in Keynote's (or QT Player's) alpha level....
    Any solutions or possible workarounds?

Thanks Brian - we already have som serious video processing equipment, but want to keep media playback for motion backgrounds (in Quicktime) to one Dual G5, with the ability to leverage Keynote's capabilities on the same machine. We can fade out the Mac signal to a generic background while launching the Keynote presentation, then cut back to the Mac.
I had hoped to not have to do it this way. Surely, if applications such as WindowShade and Geekbind can allow us to access some of the power that is already there then there is some hope??
I agree that cool APPLE fading stuff in the OS would do the trick, like a fade when you Apple-Tab between applications.
Only problem potentially, is that you can't Apple-Tab between applications when Keynote is playing a show...

  • An LED indicator that changes to 3 different colors and fades between each

    Hey everybody,
I'm trying to make an LED indicator that is hooked up to a scale. The scale will always read between 0 and 20lbs. What I need this LED to do is start off blue or green. Around 10lbs it needs to gradually fade to yellow, and at 20 it should do the same thing but to red.
I've tried using a color box with a case structure and also a picture wheel, but all I can come up with is hard color changes from one to the other. The fading between colors is what's killing me.
Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

  • Cinima Display fades Between blue and the deskop after my Mac Pro sleeps

    Hello all,
I really hope someone can help. I have a Mac Pro Running 10.5.4 and a 23 Inch Cinema Display. When I wake my machine from sleeping the desktop appears then about a second later the screen fades blue. After a second of blue it fades back to the desktop. This continues on forever and the machine is unusable until I cut the power and restart the machine.
The same issue will happen if the resolution on the monitar is changed.
I have tried to reset the pram, reset the smc, take out the graphics card and then place it back. I switch the cable from port one to two of my graphics card. I also reinstalled leopard as well as downgrading back to tiger.
When I hook the monitor up to my macbook it sleeps and awakes fine.
Finally this morning I realized that if I discounted using the monitors built in hub then the screen will awaken without issue.
Any idea's? Has anyone had a similar issue?

Hi there. It could be one of your drives is actually defective and causing I/O to slow down to a crawl. To verify this, try inserting the DVD that came with your Mac Pro and restarting the machine while holding down the 'C' key. This will boot up the machine off the DVD and bypass your hard disks. If it boots quicker there could be a problem with the drives or something else.

  • What's the difference between Snapshots and Virtual Copies?

I've been using snapshots if I want several versions of a photo. I have the original, then I can turn it b/w and have a snapshot called BW, or I can have a very saturated version and call it Saturated, etc.
But I just watched a tutorial where the guy made virtual copies and made changes to them.
They seemed to do the same thing. I just thought that one benefit to the virtual copy version is that you can have each variation show in a slidshow or web gallery (so for that alone, I may go to virtual copies). Other than that, how do they differ and when would one use one over the other?

    I use both...for different reasons.
In the case of VC's, it's useful to create them for use in collections where you might want to crop and fine tune images for things like web galleries or slide shows were the changes are not something you want applied to the originals but snapshots don't make the adaptations easy to accomplish.

  • Using fade/appear transition in spry tabbed panels

I've implemented the fade/appear transition into a spry
tabbed panel set up. The effect works in that when one clicks on a
tab, the content in that panel will "appear" in using a opacity
    transition.
The problem I am encountering is a pre-load of the content..
almost a flicker at 100% opacity... and then the transition from 0%
to 100% resumes. This flicker effect or visible pre-load of the
content really takes away from the effect of the transition.
Does anyone know how to solve this or correct my set up?
    I'm using the following...
    <li class="TabbedPanelsTab"
    onclick="MM_effectAppearFade('fade-guestrooms', 1000, 0, 100,
    false)" tabindex="0" onfocus="this.blur()">GUEST
    ROOMS</li>

Yes this was a tough one to pull off in Spry. I have worked up a solution that fades between the panels. Please have a look at the following post:

  • Snapshot of database

    Hello,
I created a snapshot of SQL 2008 database. The goal in my case was to use it for reporting and client querying instead of using Production database.
I'm planning to drop and create it again daily.
    My question and confusion is:
1.is this snapshot static or dynamic? I mean ... in case I will do some changes in 'source' database will it be reflected in snapshot immediately or only after I drop and create snapshot again?
    2. could I use Toad feature for creating snapshot and using Job scheduler for daily recreate or better run script myself ( could I set schedule on script inside Toad or MS Studio?)
    Thanks
    EV

The goal in my case was to use it for reporting and client querying instead of using Production database.
    Hello,
Please note: A snapshot is not a stand-alone copy, all unchanged data will be read from the source data, so there won't be any performance benefit with this solution, you only freeze the data to the time where you created the snapshot.

Not sure what you meant by 'all unchanged data ..'
Since snapshot is 'static' why we are  talking about any 'changed' data?
In any case the goal in my case is to avoid using Production server because it tends to lock tables when running long queries. We also have a 'copy' of production server that is made every 15 minutes but it fail to 'copy' when Production is in use by someone
Anyway ... the goal is to avoid using Production server ... and diff in one day  between Snapshot and Production for reports and client querying is acceptable for us.
Still didn't get if Production server will be impacted when someone uses Snapshot? Are you statiting that Production server will be used when someone use Snapshot? If it's 'true' ...likely I'll have to reconsider  this approach and maybe better use
'copy' of my Production since using 'copy' will not impact on Production ...Could you please clarify on that?
    Thanks

  • Tabbed Panel with Fade Effect

Open my site, dg-ad.com, and the tabbed panel drop down menu has the first level visible.  Click on a menu item and the second level becomes visible.  The second level has a Spry fade effect so it fades into view nicely.  The class .TabbedPanelContent sets the visibilty of the second layer hidden, and there is no distracting flicker, good so far.
Besides clicking on menu item I often send clients a link with a string query which lands them on my site with the tabbed panel open to what I want them to see initially., I use a string query in the URL per Dave Powers technique often refered to in this forum titled'Spry: Opening Specific Tabs and Panels from Another Page".
Because the visibility is set to hidden in the CSS the second level of the tabbed panel is still invisible,  So I am looking for suggestions that may involve scripting the style or playing with the CSS to overide the CSS and make the second level visible when users arrive via the query string method.
    Thanks for taking a look!

For Spry 1.0 widgets, each widget had one core file. Each of them had common things like addClassName(), removeClassname(), along with a bunch of basic functionality. So that adds up to a lot of redundant code.
This way, all that common stuff is kept in a single file. That means that each widget base class just has what it needs to glue everything together.
Many widgets are 'panel' based: accordions, tabbed panels, slideshows. So handling those panels is done via the PanelSet and PanelSelector files.
You will find SpryTabbedPanels2.js much smaller than the first version.
By components, for instance: SpryFadingPanels.js is only needed if you want to fade between panels. If you don't want that effect, you don't need to use it. WIth components and plugins, you or anyone else can write a different transition and make that available to all your Spry UI widgets.
I don't like all the includes either but it's the right way to go with what we are doing.
    Thanks,
    Don

  • Outputting Flash to video looses all fades

I have a flash animation, simple, it basically fades between several static images in the timeline. I want that sequence in a video I'm working on, so I output the Flash (CS4) to video. I import that video into my Final Cut (6.0.6) sequence, but when it plays
all the fades are gone, and the images simply cut dryly from one to the next.
Why is this happening, and how can I output this Flash to give me the effects I am programming in there into the video?
    thanks
    duby-us

How did you do the fades?
If you use a movieClip object on your stage to fade (for example a cover that will fade by changing the alpha channel) this will not work when you export to a movie, since only things that are visible on the main time line will be exported and not internal animations (or code, for that matter) that are on the main time line.
If you did it that way, simple convert your movieclip to a graphic object and add frames on your main time line to account for the number of frames in your movie clip, and it will play as if it's on the main time line, and so will also be shown in the movie you have exported.
If you changed the alpha on object you have on your main time line, I'm not sure the alpha changes on the main time line get exported, it's been a while since I've dealt with movies export with flash, but you should be able to find something about it in the help file on the export section (it will tell you of all the things that flash does not do, like render the content of movieclips playing on the main time line).
    Hope this helps.
    Yuval.

  • How do I make a FFT filter fade over time?

I am trying to apply a FFT filter (underwater shallow) to an audio track, but I want it to gradually fade until we here the original non-filtered audio at the end. I've created a multitrack session, but Show Envelopes does not unclude the FFT filter. Surely there is a way to accomplish this? Please help!

If you add the FFT filter to the Effects Rack for your audio track you can then select Rack Mix in the Automation track and use it to fade between the "wet" treated version and the "dry" untreated version.

  • Snapshot controlfile

    Hi folks,
what is the difference between snapshot control file and backup control file ?
    Thanks & regards.

    Hi,,
    For example:
CONFIGURE SNAPSHOT CONTROLFILE NAME TO ‘/oracle/ora10g/dbs/snapcf_test11g.f’
RMAN needs a snapshot control file when resynchronizing with the recovery catalog or taking a backup of the current control file. The default location is platform specific and depends on the Oracle home of each target database. In Linux environment it locates in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory. You can change its location with this configuration.
    For example:
CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO ‘%F’
By default, RMAN automatically names control file backups and  saves them into FRA. To configure RMAN  to write control file backups to the specific directory:  %F will generate a unique filename likes  c-‘IIIIIIIIII- YYYYMMDD-QQ’ . Here  ‘IIIIIIIIII’ is DBID, ‘YYYYMMDD’ is date and  ‘QQ’ is hexadecimal id. You can also backup controlfile to specific location.
    CONFIGURE CONTROLFILE AUTOBACKUP FORMAT FOR DEVICE TYPE DISK TO ‘ora_home/oradata/cf_%F’;
    Thank you

  • Compressing (mpeg4?) a movie with static images and fades. Best settings?

    Hey there,
I'm using compressor with Final Cut HD and a Powermacg5.
I have a movie made mostly of static images (experimental piece with landscapes) and fades between them.
Firstly, does anyone have any great tips for compressing a quicktime movie for the web (so probably mpeg 4) that works well with images that are mostly still? The mpeg4 setting with h264 are okay (ntsc image size, 30fps), but every so often there's sudden blocky-ness when there is a little bit of motion in the frame. Any ideas?
Secondly, the images go really chunky when there is a slow dissolve between the images, any compression ideas there?
I'll be experimenting myself but I thought it best to ask you guys first ... any tips?
    Thanks
    Richard

    Hi everyone
Is it possible to compress a movie ( 83 minutes long
) for a Single DVD without any pixellations ?
If so I need to know what is the best settings...
I keep compressing with a bit rate about 6 and my dvd
still looks bad (pixels on transitions and sometimes
    pauses).
I don't know what I could have done wrong !!!
I don't want to use double layer and I can't split my
    movie into 2 dvds.
Can someone walk me through this step by step ?
    Many thanks
I think it should be, the setting I always use are:
Vide: 7.4Mbps, One pass, Motion Estimation: Best
    Audio:Dolby 2.0 Datarate 256 kbps.
I have tried a lot of combos but this is the only settings I can get with no pixellations. I'm always happy with the result and its fast! You might need to knock back the data rate to make 83 mins fit.
