Faded movies in Video Library iPhone

I have seeing some movies in iPhone library with faded icons. I am not able to delete those. That's annoying. Please help.

What worked for me was to re-sync videos onto device via iTunes, then do as suggested... Settings>General>Usage>Videos and click on 'Edit' tab (top right of screen) and then use red symbol that appears next to video to delete/erase it from device.
I think what had happened (in my case) was that I had synced a video to my iPod, watched and then deleted it via the device... then when I wanted to sync something else, iTunes got into a bit of a muddle as to where the other file had vanished to.
My device: iPod Touch 4G 64Gb (I'm quite sure this will work for iPhones as well)

Task: get .mov &c video onto iPhone.
So far I have managed to DL a file converter that has made a (really lo res) mp4 file out of a mov file, which is now in a playlist on iTunes. When I synch the phone, the file doesn't show up. How do I get it to be recognised by the iPhone?
Searched for an answer and read the cryptic msg that Apple want you to have different file sizes?!

Hi there, Try this. In iTunes go to "Video" tab in the iPhone summary. Click on "Sync" and "all TV shows" and finally try to sync again your iPhone. It should be there now. I hope.

Can a video airdropped to an iPhone be moved to the video library?

I Airdropped a video from my iMac to my iPhone. The video appears in my photo library. Is it possible to move it to my video library?

I'm using Windows 8. I have 2 folders in my videos library - movies and personal videos. When I try to import a movie into iTunes, it puts it in the Home Video section and if I import a personal video, it puts it into the home video section. what up?

Im using Win8. I originally had all my ripped movies in a movie folder listed in the videos library. This imported into iTunes movies with no issue. I later added a second folder t my library - personal videos where i put all my home videos. I was able to import this into iTunes and it showed up in "Home Movies" - very cool and exactly what I wanted. Now, if I add a new ripped movie and put it in my movie librairy and try to import it into iTunes, it places it in Home Movies. And if I put a new personal video, it will also import into iTunes under 'Home Video?. What is going on here?? Any help would be greatly appreciated - it seems like this is a bug in iTunes 11.

I thank you for the response. Apple does some assinine things sometimes and this is one of them. Ask the planet the difference between a movie and a home video and with the exception of Apple, you'd get 100% consenus on the what difference is. A home video is something that I shoot, like my kids birthday party. A movie is something I urchased either via download or a DVD that I ripped. Unbelievable! The fact that Apple has chosen not to distinguish based upon which folder I tell it is Movies and which folder is Home Videos is really hard to fathom - sounds like something Windows would do. I find it funny that in my iTunes movies sub-section of the movies section, the movie icons have a cloud icon in upper right corner to distinguish it as bought from Apple iTunes versus no cloud icon for movies that I have ripped - so the distintion was already made and clearly visible. Now - everything just defaults to "home videos" if I try to import a new ripped DVD - why even bother to have this distinction on the iTunes bar? WOW!
As for your direction, I do not understand what you are telling me - what Media Kind and what Options tab are you referring to? I see no Options tab in iTunes. Right licking on the movie icon does not yield media kind or options as well. Gping to the source file does not yield these options either.

Getting movies (not just video) from iPhone 3GS to Mac

I did the following in order (question at end)
captured video using iPhone 3GS
synced video from iPhone to iPhoto on Mac
imported iPhoto video to iMovie
created movie in iMovie
used "Share" feature in iMovie to share the movie in iTunes (so I could play on Apple TV)
synced movie back to iPhone
deleted movie from Mac (where iTunes was accessing it)
Now, the movie content only resides on my iPhone...can I get it back from the iPhone onto my Mac (so I can eventually get it back into iTunes)?

Thanks to Grognard for suggesting this:
Step one: turn off and on your iPhone.
Step Two : launch iTunes and iPhoto
Step three : connect the iPhone to the computer
Then importation will be possible.
Clearly this still seems to be a glitch -- these kinds of work-arounds are a huge pain. Hope an update will solve the problem.

How do I move a video file from theater to the library for additional editing in iMovie. It is a new iMac so i guess i have the newest version of iMovie.

I understand that you have added a clip or project to iMovie Theater but would like to continue working on it. When you upload the project to iMovie Theater, the original project remains in iMovie where you can edit it further.

Similar problem here. My Ical refuses to edit or delete events. Viewing is possible, though sometimes the whole screen turns grey. Adding new events from mail is still possible. The task-pane completely disappeared. My local apple technic-centre messed about with disk utility for a bit and than told me to reinstall leopard. I could of course do that, but it seems to me that reinstalling Leopard just to fix iCal events is a bit invasive.
I tried also tried removing everything, installing a new copy of iCal from the leopard-cd, software updates, all to no avail.
At the moment I'm open to all suggestions that do not include a complete leopard reinstall.

I'm glad iTunes is working now! If you want to locate iTunes plug-ins on your computer, you can find them in the following locations (you may not have the iTunes Plug-ins folder if you do not have plug-ins):
Mac:
/Users/username/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/
One thing I also wanted to mention is that the "Users/username/Library" is hidden in Lion and Mountain Lion. You can access it using these steps:

The Library folder contains files used by OS X and your apps, including your personal fonts and preferences. The Library folder is hidden. If you need to open it, make sure you are in the Finder, hold down the Option key, and then choose Go > Library.

After getting a new dell laptop, I was able to easily move my itunes library from my old mac to my new laptop,however now when I try to sync my music to my iphone,my songs have an exclimation point next to it and cant sync most of my music. HELP!

Now I am trying to sync my whole library of music back onto my iphone 4, but when I try it says most of my music can not be located. Copy them from your old computer, or your backuo copy of your old computer. to your new one.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. the exception is itunes purchases.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

How do I Play videos from external hard drive on Apple TV2? Can I just move the iTunes Library to the External Hard Drive?

I have several HD videos stored on an external hard drive and would like to bring them into iTunes and play them via iTunes on my Apple TV2, but I am not sure how to go about it. I don't want to store the movies on my iMac hard drive because it would eat up to much space...so do I just move the iTunes Library to the external hard drive? And, if so...will the Apple TV2 find the iTunes Library on the external hard drive? Thanks for any help anyone can suggest.

iTunes content on an external drive isn't a problem.
The simplest method is to just move your library to an external drive.
If you wanted to keep just movies on an external drive, that's a little more difficult. You'd need to put the movies where you want them to reside on the external drive and add drag and drop them onto iTunes while holding down the option key. Obviously any movies already in iTunes would need moving from their current location and removing from iTunes first.

How do I move video from iPhone 5 to PC?

I was able to move one video that was only about 1:04 long. Now I need to move one thats 1:27:38.
I unlocked my iPhone, plugged it into my computer, and clicked "Trust".
I was able to move the smaller one, but the larger one does not show up.
Any ideas as to how I can get it/move it to my computer?

I do know that the Size of the video has problems getting to the computer if it above a certain amount of data. check some search sites to see about your computer and transfereing a big file like the size you have on the device

Drag and drop only works if "Manually manage music" is selected on the summary tab in iTunes.
Instead, use the Music tab and playlists to manage what content is on the device as described in the User's Guide.
