Fading an Image

I have placed the fade image on a background image, but it
always shows up with a checkered box (black and white) as the fade
as shown on the eight examples to choose from. I was curious to
know if there is a way to change the fade to different colors
(white, black, red, blue, etc.) Thanks!

  • How do I use Adobe Edge to get faded header images on my website?

Trying to use Adobe Edge to get faded header images on my website. Was referred to Adobe Edge because it is supposed to be easy for beginners. I was able to upload my images, but then there was no instruction/direction on what to do next. Everything I clicked just brought me somewhere else. I'm a novice who needs help with coding, as everytime I tried adding coding to my page, it messed it up. I would appreciate if someone can tell me what to do after I upload the images.

Yes, Animate. Again, I uploaded the images, but then, I didn't see any directions on what to do next, as I would like fading header images for my website. I understand that it is supposed to generate the code for my website, which is where I need the most help.

  • Faded background image in forms 9i canvas ...!

I am working in Forms 9i Version 9.0.2.9.0. While importing gif image on canvas, the image displayed as faded image and it seems more blur /faded /dim when this form is running in internet explorer editor /environment.
On the other hand, when I paste /import the bmp file /image, it seems fine /better but due to heavy size of bmp image, the loading time /speed of that particular form is too much slow. So that’s why I want to import only gif image instead of bmp file /image because of its lesser sized.
Tell me, by which method I could get the better result (more prompt /sharp /visible) of gif image for forms 9i background /canvas?
Waiting for urgent and prompt solution please...
    Thanks and regards,
    Farhan Mazhar

    Farhan,
even if adding the image as a bmp, it is streamed as a jpg image. The conversion is performed by Forms internally.

  • How To Refresh Faded Colour Image

I have some old comic books jpg files.  Very old comics they were when scanned in.  So all the colours are very faded.  The reds are pink, the blues are almost grey, etc...
Can photoshop somehow restore them to their original comic book poster colour brightness?
    How?
The comic was/is the Eagle comic from the U.K.
I have tried fooling with various controls - colour saturation and such - without any success. If that is the way to do it I still need more help than merely pointing in that direction - if anyone can be kind enough to give it...

Looks beautiful to me, guys, though I haven't downloaded them, looked at them full screen or anything.
Getting late at night here and I've got a big day tomorrow, got to go so I'm a bit hurried.  Looks to me like you've cracked it, done the job.
What else do I need to do to test it?  Just download an peruse through my normal progs whatever they are I guess. I'll do that tomorrow.  Certainly looks fine to me.  Better than I was able to get.
And so what was it - Image Auto Color and a bit of Curves operation?  I've only got CS3. I've got that on it? I'll look tomorrow. Sorry to seem so abrupt - if you're in another time zone you could have like all day ahead of you... it's 11:41 p.m. here and I gotta go...
Thanks a  lot....  what an amazing immediate fix...

  • Fading 2 Images Together

    Hi,
I am new to photoshop and have searched the forum for the solution and google, but am still pulling my hair out over something that I am sure is so, so simple.
I am trying to merge two images so the appear to melt and fade in to one another for a Christmas promotion banner.
    The canvas size is 160(w) x 600(h)
Layer one has an image on it of 160 x 160
Layer two has an image in it of 160 x 440
How to I get the two to appear to merge together?
    Thanks for any help

Ok looking at those two images its probably more a transparency fade that you are looking for. Learn about layer masks and the gradient tool.
There is also a new function called auto-blend layers - this is under the Edit Menu. You need to select both layers to be merged in your layers panel. In your example this will cause nasty color shifts, but will produce a seemless transition.
In both cases I have mentioned above, you will need some overlap between the two layers.
Don't know if that guys crotch really says "Happy Christmas" to me. More "welcome to the world of gay porn"

  • Tabbed links with fade to expanded image with hotspots

The description pretty much says it all. The page I'm creating will feature several tabs around an interior text area. When the tabs are rolled over, an image will fade in next to it, with two hot spots linking to other pages. There will be ten tabs, and each tab will activate the faded-in image, and each image will give a choice of going to one of two pages. I've tried fade/appear on an AP div, but the fade does not "hide" the div, it only makes its opacity zero.
What I'm trying to do seems like a standard menu function, but all the possible solutions available seem to want greater complexity. If you want to see what the page will look like go here: http://cardsforliving.com (for a static image only). Please help. If you can, please e-mail me at jay(dot)mcpherson(at)gmx(dot)com and if necessary we can set up a Skype conversation from there.
    Thank you!

If I understand you correctly, you would like for a box to appear on a hover.  If that is the case, do a search for tooltips, you should find plenty there.  You can also use a dis-jointed rollover.
Look at those two options, it sounds like what you are looking for.

  • Saving Images under 32bit color

Iv'e tried alot of differant various things to cor
rect this problem, but simply put, it seems like if i open a blank document in Photoshop CS5 under RGB Color 32bit, i cannot later save as a JPEG/BITMAP/PNG or anything web related. I can only save it as Photoshop type documents. This is rather frustraiting since i spent hours drawing a picture on my tablet and i was forced to copy it and move it to a RGB color 16bit which also faded my image immencly make it look like it has a glare, in addition to that it also made the gradiant of the image unusable, this is not repairable because in order to copy the entire image over i had to merge the layers.
Is there really any explination as to why we cannot save 32bit color as web ready formats, or even JPEGs/PNGs?

Is there a reason you need to draw from a blank document in photoshops 32 bit color mode.
The 32 bit color mode in photoshop is not the same as your monitor being set to
    highest color (32bit).
If you want to convert your document to 16 or 8 bits so you can save for web or other formats,
Image>Mode>16 bits then choose merge and Exposure and Gamma from the hdr toning dialog.
Your drawing should the same after conversion, just with no layers.

  • Buttons text faded or no text

    Hi All,
I have several Forms developed in Forms 9i and running on an New Development Application Server 9i. Some of the Forms BUTTONS are FADED and the Text on the Button does not have its Proper Color. Other Buttons are Missing their TEXT and instead I have Only a "RED"/"PINKISH" color on the Button as a whole. But the Buttons are Functioning well except for the way they look.
What could be the issue that these buttons are not Displayed Properly? Although I have the same forms running on a Previous Application Server and all the Buttons seem OK.
Below is a related thread, but there is no solution:
Faded background image in forms 9i canvas ...!
    Your help is Much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Baz

    Problem Solved.
I realized that the VISUAL ATTRIBUTE assigned to these Buttons was acting strangely or even losing its settings???!!! after I was reattaching libraries and Re-compiling these forms.
So I had to Manually change the properties of the VISUAL ATTRIBUTE associated with these buttons in order to have them displayed properly mainly: Foreground/Background Color, and Font Weight.
Now the Forms look much better with Buttons showing properly
    Cheers,
    Baz

  • How to fade or transition animation of an image?

    respected sir/madam,
please make an example for the following question?
how to fade or transition animation of an image?

I assume the question is that you want to show an image, and then smoothly fade to another image.
I've done this by using two ImageView's which are stacked on top of each other (using a Group or StackPane). You then simply play this animation:
      TimeLine fadeAnim = new Timeline(
        new KeyFrame(Duration.ZERO,
          new KeyValue(newBackgroundImageView.opacityProperty(), 0.0),
          new KeyValue(backgroundImageView.opacityProperty(), 1.0)
        new KeyFrame(new Duration(4000),
          new KeyValue(newBackgroundImageView.opacityProperty(), 1.0),
          new KeyValue(backgroundImageView.opacityProperty(), 0.0)
);Before you start the animation, you set the "new" image to the newBackgroundImageView (which has zero opacity). You then start the animation.
After the animation has finished (using Timeline#setOnFinished), you put the "new" image in the backgroundImageView, set its opacity to 1.0 and you set the newBackgroundImageView opacity back to 0.
By doing this you are back at the beginning state, but now showing the newly faded-in image :)

  • Weird display problem with iMac 24"

Hi guys, I have a very weird problem with my 24" iMac. For some reason it seems that after approx. 10 minutes using the Mac, whenever I keep a window on top of another window and then I minimize it, it keeps there like a ghost for another 5-10 seconds until it fades away slowly slowly.
Sometimes it's hard to see it however it's very evident when using a white window (such as Safari) on a dark background (not black).
I'm attaching an image split into 2 parts, the 2nd part is shot exactly after I minimised the browser. It clearly shows a faded ghost image on the grey Photoshop canvas.
    Here's the pic:
    http://www.neilazzopardi.com/imac.jpg
Has anyone ever experienced a problem similar to mine? or am I getting paranoid?
By the way, I bought this Mac, 5 months ago and I don't know whether this problem has been there from the beginning but I only noticed recently while cropping in Photoshop and still seeing the parts I removed away very faded.

den.thed it's not that I took it the wrong way or anything but shouldn't I be doing whatever I like with my iMac?
For the record that is a dark grey Photoshop canvas, which just happens to show the problem much more evidently.
The problem is that it happens on any background (even desktop) with any window, even Adium etc. Their ghost just stays there for a while... I use the iMac for design purposes and it's very annoying especially when cropping a picture and what I just cut out stays there very faded...

  • How to adjust the path of a tween using actionscript

I'm a novice at Actionscript3 and would greatly appreciate an answer to what seems like a simple question:
    Here's my project:
    http://home.comcast.net/~samiri/director/mortals/amadoFlashPortrait/index.htm
Click on the gray scale frame images. A larger version of that image tweens out along the z axis. However it comes from 'somewhere else' not from 'within the frame.' How do I get the each larger gray scale frame image to look like it comes directly from the place where the user clicks (not to one side or the other)?
So I guess what I'm asking is how to adjust the path of the tween along the x and y axis using the actionscript code (below).
    My method:
I'm using this line of code in my script:
    var myTween:Tween = new Tween(mdImg, "z", Strong.easeOut, 300, 0, 1, true);
"mdImg" is the variable that holds the name of the hotspot clicked upon by the user.
I have the larger (faded edge) image positioned directly on top of the frame image and just kept invisible until the User clicks on the hotspot over the frame image.
    Thanks much.

    Thanks moccamaximum,
By "do your tweens manually" you mean to use the timeline to do frame-based tweening? That is an option but I'm wondering (as a newbie): Isn't it better to use actionscript to do animation since you have more control and it's time based rather than frame-rate based (and works better on low performance machines)? Just curious if I should be spending the time to learn actionscript or do it in the traditional way.
    Thanks

  • A color problem in Apple's publishing App

I was wondering if you could help me with this problem,I really need some help, and here it is:
There is a Color problem in Mac publishing applications like Pages and Keynote, including iBooks Author, which really confuse me a lot。
When you use a certain color space(sRGB IEC61966-2.1 in this case)to create some colors with Apps like Illustrator CS6,Indesign CS6 & Photoshop CS6 etc. ,they look totally fine。BUT when you use iBooks Author (V2.0)to create the very same color with the very same color space, colors still look fine in the color panel, and here comes the problem:they look totally lousy in the actual document!!In fact, they look much lighter and faded。(See Image 1&2)
    Above:Image 1
    Above:Image 2
And this is also terrible with photos you import。(See Image 3)
    Above:Image 3
Please tell me what I can do to solve this problem。I know maybe this is some sort of “basic” and “general” knowledge, but I really need your help。And I can't thank you enough if you can provide some effective solutions。

As far as I can see,  the colour pallet and how colours are seen in any app on YOUR machine will depend on the computers System Preferences>Displays>Colour - choose your preferred setting.
I suggest first that you ensure that your colour profile settings are the same ( as your computer)  in whatever Adobe application or in fact any outside image processor you use.
Creating or using a colour profile in Adobe and having a different profile on your system - will tend  to  give different colour hues.
A point also to remember is whatever you set up and is  transferred to your product... when seen on an iPad may well be totally different again due to peculiarities and contrast / brighness setting of the iPad user.

  • Sourcecode for anyone who's interested

    Hi there,
I started a project on sourceforge. DevEnhancer
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/sapb1-ui-di-fw
It's a framework or a toolbox for Business One developers.
    About 2500 lines of code.
I decided to put it on sourceforge, because the project is
    very nice hosted there.
You'll find there two files. The first one is the C# file with the code
and the second one is a chm file with the extracted class and method
definitions. I haven't included so much examples, but I think most of the code
    is self explaining.
Only thing to do is to include it in your Visual Studio Project and add two
    references to SAPbobsCOM and SAPbouiCOM.
If anyone is interested in joining the project ask me.
If you think, it's useful, write me suggestions or bugreports.
If you want to use it, no problem, it's under GPL, open source
    Any comments are welcome.

    Hope, you have fun.
    Regards,

PS: This is a prealpha release, so don't think, it is bugfree

My 23" display is one of the first to ship last July (2004). It has the uneven colors (when viewing a blue screen) and the pink hue. So far in its life it has had two pixels go stuck blue (I check it when i got it and it had zero stuck pixels) and one firewire port die.
Lately I've had problems with "burn-in" such that on gray color backgrounds or windows (like the default color it seems to pick when switching wallpaper) show residual images (faded ghost images) of previously displayed things. The top bar where the menu is seems really burned in (I can see it on the blue login screen).
I've been holding out too for a confirmed fix. I have an extended warranty till 2007 so I'm in no rush.
I had someone postl this on my thread at macrumors about their display being repaired:
Here is the message that has just been posted:
I purchased a reconditioned 23" Aluminum from Apple last month, and after the first one died within 5 days, I received a second one with serious pink hue problems and MAJOR ghosting. After an hour on the phone with apple, they said all they can do was fix it. I wanted out of the 23" because of all the problems I've heard. Anyway, they sent a box, I packed it, and when it returned, it was finally excellent. They replaced Part # 646-0264 APPLE, Q49, LCD, LM230W02(ST)(02)and #630-6942 APPLE, Q49 MLB REV C whatever that is. Hope this helps.

  • Looping photo slide show

I've created a series of images that fade in and out. When i run the movie the transition from the last picture which fades out to the first image is not smooth. it transitions from a faded out image to a 100% opacity image. how can i smooth this transition?

What is not smooth about the transition from faded out to 100% opacity?  Is this a timeline-based animation where you have timeline tweens for the fading images?  How does the first image transition in when it first starts (visually)? How does the first image transition to the second image (visually)?  How should the last image transition to the first image (visually)?
