Fading out/in a graph

Is it possible with LabView to show a graph only if a certain button is pushed?
I'd like to make diagram with several measurement point, displayed as numbers for a given time. If one is ineterested in the time-dependency it should be possible to fade in the graph.
Is this possible with LabView?

I'm not sure if you want to gradually fade in the visablility of the whole graph or want the traces to fade out like they did on old Storage Scopes.
If it is the latter see the attached that used to work in LV 7.1.

I'm freaking out because almost all my music except for those songs purchased directly from the iTunes store has been deleted from my iPod - about 35 gigs. The songs show up, but they're all faded out and unplayable from my device (I have the newest version). Exclamation points appear beside all my songs in the "On this iPod" section, and yet I can't double-click to locate the files as nothing pops up. Some of my music has a weird circle next to it and is even more faded out when I'm in the "On this iPod" section - that's been happening for a couple of days. Yesterday I tried to set my settings to sync with my library only, and it worked, but this morning everything got even worse with the rest of my songs disappearing. What's happening???? Help??

Problem with fading out particles in cs5

I have a problem with fading out particles or anything for that matter in my CS5 after effects! I set up the key frames right. O opacity at first and whatever number at next and it fades in fine, But when I try to do the reverse it will not fade out and only stops the effect if I cut its durration at the red par representing it on the top of the time line. This produces and rough aburpt cut of the effect which will not due. Please can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong that I can't fade out particles with opacity?

First question: What OS and what's the build of CS5.5?
Second question: What effect are you using? There are a bunch of ways to generate particles.
Last question: if you turn off the effect can you get the layer to fade out? Pressing Alt/Option + t will set a keyframe for opacity on your layer and reveal the keyframe in the time line. Do that, set the value to 0, then move down the timeline a few frames and set the value to 100. This should generate another keyframe. Now move down a few more frames and press Alt/Option + t or change the value for opacity to anything and then back to 100, or copy the previous keyframe and paste to set a 3rd keyframe. Finally move down a few more frames and set the value to 0. You should have 4 keyframes in your tlimeline for opacity. If you want to clean up the layer press Alt/Option + ] to set the out point for the layer.
Everything should work just fine. Turn on the effect and your layer and the effect should fade out.
If you want to do something else with the particles, like fade out a particle over the lifetime of the particle we'll need to know which plug-in you're using.

UIImageView not fading out as it should in the simulator?

i am using an animation block to fade out a view. fading in works perfectly, however fading it out does not. it waits for the animationduration, then just disappears. I hope that it is because of the simulator being too slow, but i might have just made a stupid mistake; as i will probably have to wait a while before i can test it on my device, i'd like you guys to see if something's wrong
i set up 4 different views. depending on a value, either all of them, none of them or just 2 of them have to be shown. If a view that's needed now wasn't visible it fades in, same thing other way around for views that aren't needed anymore.

like i said, it works fine for fading in, but it does not for fading out... this function is being called after i swipe the view, and the value WC has been changed. thanks a lot for reading this text already

Faded-Out / Trimmed DDL's Selected Text in Adobe Reader X(10)

Hi folks,
My PDF form look good in all the preceding versions of Adobe Reader, but after upgrading to Adobe Reader X(10), the drop-down list box's selected text is getting faded-out/trimmed from it's right-side as you can see in the enclosed image.
By the way, the text is in Hebrew.
Any idea why this is happend and what can I do?

Tow conclusions about my problem:
1. The problem occurs only in Dynamic saved PDFs.
2. It's about bad RTL support in Adobe Reader X(10) and this is a very good workaround: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2008415

Two thirds of macbook display fading out

Recently the display of my Macbook Pro (2.2 GHz, Santa Rosa) has started fading out/going gray in the bottom two thirds when I open it from sleep. It also occasionally fades out after it's been open for a while. If I just give the screen a tap on the side, the problem disappears. Any ideas? I kind of feel like the screen is just going. Would Applecare cover a failing screen?

No solution but I have the same issue on my early 17" Macbook Pro. The bottom half or 3/4 goes blank but everything else still works. I have found I get the screen back by squeezing the edge of the frame on the left at the level where the screen is blank below. I guess this is an intermittent contact to the screen in the side of the frame. The kids had worked out that closing and opening the lid would often get the screen back but I suspect that was just a way to induce some movement in the spot I am squeezing. I'd be keen to know of a site that shows how to get into this part of the screen and whether the likely issue is a fatigued wire or a connection to a board or something irrepairable.

Starting mail.app in the faded out-mode???

I configuered my account to start mail.app faded out, but starting tiger, the main windows appears in the front. All other apps are okay.
I remember, I had this problem in an earlier version, but an update repaired it. Waiting and waiting for an update, but nothing happens.
Has anybody an idea, what I can change?

I mean "in the invisibel mode". The word fade out is wrong i think.
in the systempreferences for the user I can define, which program should loaded at start up. If I say: start iTunes invisibel, i do not appear, it is running in the background, but I do not see anything of the app.
Opening mail.app, the main window is visibel, it is not in the front. It is not possible to see the desktop.
In earlier versions it was possible to let mail.app run but do not see anything of the app.
Has anybody an idea? Thank you very much.

ALV GRID - export only columns not faded out

Hello,
I hope that this is possible but till now I have no idea.
The request is to provide a download/export function (moving the export file directly to a specific location the user is not allowed to modify-> so standard function not allowed based on specification) which will only export the columns from the ALV GRID which are not faded out.
With the standard files download from the menu bar this is possible.
But how to do this starting with a self defined button?

if u need a custmozied button with all standard ALV fucntions,
1. goto SE80, under thre function group SALV, there will be GUI_STATUS named as STANDARD.
2. copy that into ur program, and add ur own button in that , then write the code for that by chekcing SY-UCOMM.

In IT-0001, the POSITION filed in editable....My client wants the POSITION field to be Un editable...

If position field will not be editable, then how your client is going to assign position to employee while Hiring/transfering etc....?
Are you changing position assignment in OM side?
If that is the case, then it can be controlled thorugh screen modification (T588M) as mentioned by others.

Can we print out the XY GRAPH?

I 'D like to print out my XY GRAPH results. I know how to print out the xy-plot picture result. but xy-plot picture is not good at differentiating too many curves. (one curve is ok), xy graph is more powerful at differentiating more curves, but i just don't know how to print out the xy-graph only( not the whole vi front panel).

Recently I've answered on the question how to save image of the graph into the file. See

If you want to print image you can do the following things:
1.Save image into the temporary file with above described technique.
2.Create "standard" report using "Function->Report Generation->New Report.vi"
3.Append image file to report using "Function->Report Generation->Append Image toreport.vi"
4.Print report using "Function->Report G
eneration->Print report.vi"
5.Close report using "Function->Report Generation->Dispose report.vi"
6. And delete temporary file.
Actually this is just an idea. I haven't test it yet, but I think this will work.
