Fail to print pdf with flash(updated)

Hi, all,
I open a pdf with flash in adobe reader.
I want to print it, but it doesn't get the result as what I see in adobe reader.
It seems that the  flash has an animation, and the printer capture the image before the animation is finished.
Did I post the discussion in the right forums?
And if you need more information, tell me please.
Thanks

You asked in the correct forum, but it appears that no-one knows the answer.
I know that there were some problems printing Flash content, but I do not know how Flash Player integrates into Adobe Reader - if it uses the installed plugin, or if it uses its own plugin.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro failed to print pdf file

I downloaded adobe acrobat pro and started the 30 trial version just a few minutes ago.
I could open files through adobe acrobat and convert word files to pdf, but when i tried converting a publisher file it could not go through. An error popped up which read "Adobe PDF printer failed to print pdf file".
The publisher file I am hoping to convert to pdf is a 21 page panorama article. It contains lots of images and a variety of font types.
I do not know other alternatives for solving this issue.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
    Thank you!

It seems to be that Adobe Acrobat virtual printer is not properly installed on your PC or you are not selecting Adobe PDF printer to print PDF document. Checkout the below screen shot to see proper printer.
After trying this if you have same problem you may trt some other virtual printer that easily convert or print any file as PDF, you may checkout here.

  • HP Laserjet 4250 - While Printing PDFs with Watermark, Prints images as scrambled

    Hi,
I am using HP Laserjet 4250 printer. While Printing PDFs with Watermark, the printer prints images as scrambled. It prints the part of the image as scrambled which is overlapped by the Watermark. The other part of the image is printed fine. When seen on the screen, it shows up the image with the watermark properly. Could you please suggest how to arrive at a solution for this problem. Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Sebastian43
I suspect your question would be better answered in the HP Enterprise Business Community,  as the HP LaserJet 6L is a commercial model.
My technical expertise is with consumer products and software, I am sure the commercial folks would be happy to help if you re-post your question for them to answer. The HP Enterprise Business Community is an HP Forum designed for the Commercial and Enterprise customers to help one another. I am sure you will find some HP folks there to help too.
Click here to view the Printing and Digital Imaging.  When the page opens you will see the option to 'Log in' or 'Register Now' on the right. The commercial forums are separate from the consumer boards, thus you will need to register if you don't already have a commercial account.
You may find the HP LaserJet 6Lse Printer support page helpful while you wait for somebody in the commercial Forum to respond to your inquiry.

  • Printing problems with Flash Players 10.1 and 10.2

I'm having problems when printing "lengthy" reports under Flash Players 10.1 and 10.2. (By "lengthy" I mean 15+ pages, but it seems dependent on the content of the pages.)
Symptoms: On OS X with Safari (with debug Player 10.2) I get timeout errors. On Windows with IE (regular Flash Player 10.2), the system crawls to  almost a halt, heavy CPU and memory usage.   With Firefox on Windows, the Flash Player will crash. A user with Player 10.1 on Windows also reports The Flash Player crashing in Firefox (he has 8GB of RAM).
The reports print fine under Flash Player 10.0
There was an earlier post here about what seems like the same issue. (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3486765)
There is a bug report (https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-6087), but so far no response from Adobe.
I'm surprised about how few reports there are about the issue, which makes me think it may be my code. (But it worked under 10.0.)
I'd be interested to know if others are experiencing the problem.
Better still, if anyone has any tips on how to resolve the issue.

This is rediculous.  I have an application in use by thousands of students, and their teachers are supposted to be able to print login sheets for their classroom.  This was functioning fine for years, and now with the latest player upgrades, it's failing to print or printing only a few of the total pages.  I'm even seeing it print one additional page each time... first successfully printing 3 pages, then 4, then 5, when printing with adobe acrobat to PDF.  What happened?  What is this talk of timeouts when printing?  I'm not getting any error messages, it's just completing the file and displaying the PDF with only 4 of the 15 or 20 pages that Flash should have sent to the printer.

  • Font substitution failing when printing PDF to Non Postcript Printer

I have a problem with PDFs that do not have fonts properly embedded.
    For example:
    http://www.wlv.ac.uk/PDF/uow-direct-app-home.pdf
If I open the above file, it views on screen ok (using the substitute Adobe Serif MM and Adobe Sans MM) and prints to my postscript printer ok. But... if I print it to the basic office laserjet (Epson c1900), it fails to print any of the type.
    Any ideas?

No worries - thought you were from Wolverhampton University - know some
    people there ;-)
You might want to ensure all your print drivers are up-to-date since
this can seriously affect output - especially with Acrobat 8 printing
issue. Don't forget to update to 8.1.2 through the 'Check for Updates'
    option under HELP.
Another idea might be to use the PRINT AS IMAGE option under the print
menu, this will spool an image file to the printing device which might
    also help ...

  • Problem printing PDF with Acrobat Pro 9.4.4

    Hi!
I can't correctly print a PDF with Acrobat Pro that was created in Indesign CS5.
I want to print it on a letter format (8,5 X 11") and it offers me a format of 8,49 X 10,99". It results in having my document being printed as tile with it's original format 12 X 21,5" as if I didn't adjust the format to be reduced.
I temporary used Preview to print my PDF, but now I can't as the encoding in which I received the PDF used to be "Creo Normalizer JTP" and now it is "Adobe PDF Library 9.9"
    If anyone can help!
This is my first time here, thanks in advance for your help

Here's what it looks like (I work in french, hope you can understand)
I just updated my software, thanks for that!
Now, my problem is still on... I still have the very same result when I print. I did selected the correct Page Scalling I needed. I did selected the paper size I wanted. I chose Shrink to Printable Area and I tried with Fit to Printable Area.
Since I've had this problem the size appears as : 8,49 X 10,99 (Instead of 8,5 X 11). I tried with Legal (8,5 X 14) but it appears as 8,49 X 13,99. I went through the preferences, but I can't find anything that could be the problem.
    Any other idea?
    Thanks!!
Also, Preview was very helpful, as it did print my PDF correctly! I understand it's not the best... but it did the job

  • Printing pdf with Adobe 10 and Mac OSX

After downloading Adobe Reader 10.0.0 I cannot print pdf files on my Canon MP620 printer. Snow Leopard Mac OSX 10.6.6 is my operating system Error message comes up "pstopdffilter/pstocupsraster failed with err. number 13". Can anyone help please?

After dealing with this problem for a whole day, this finally solved the problem.  Not sure if it will work for everyone or if I just got lucky.  Either way...
I threw out all Acrobat preferences (8 and 9).  I uninstalled Acrobat Pro 9.  Opened Acrobat Pro 8 and printed the files.  I then re-installed Pro 9 and with both 8 and 9 open, I was able to print. Now Pro 9 works fine (without having 8 open) Not sure why this worked, since re-installing Acrobat Pro 9 alone didn't fix the problem.
Hopefully this might work for someone else too.

  • JRC for Eclipse 2.0: Export to PDF with Flash Objects in RPT file

    Hi,
We've a few reports created with Flash objects in it ( from Xcelsius). We are trying to generate the reports and export it to PDF using the new JRC for Eclipse 2.0. The exported file size is big ( 600MB) but there is no flash object or data in it. Can you please help us with this one?
    Thanks,
    Bala

Hi, Ted. Thanks for looking into this.
I asked a similar question last September in this [thread|CR report with embedded SWF: Export to PDF displays nothing;. It's my understanding that exporting flash objects to pdf is not support in  CR 2008.
In CR 2008, when I export a report containing a swf to pdf, the flash file is not rendered in Adobe Reader. It looks like there's just a picture. In fact, in CR, if you r-click on the swf and do Format Flash... | Flash, you can change the picture used for export and printing. The default picture is what I'm seeing in the pdf.
I'm creating the swf using Xcelsius 2008. In XC 2008, if I export to pdf, the flash object is rendered. Why the difference?
The same Adobe reader is being used in both cases.
I'd be glad to send an .rpt with embeded swf for you to test.
    Thanks again.
    Tim

  • Error "Failed to Export PDF" with big image on CS6 (32) and CC (64)

    Hi everyone,
I'm on indesign CS6 (v8.0.2) and when I try to export pdf with a very big image ( *.tiff, 25000*35000 pixels, ) , the action failed with this message :" Failed to export a PDF".
To be sure that there is no any corrupted elements, I made a very simple layout (one page , and just one element for my image,I turnoff prefilgth and all  ressource intensive options, and export with no downsampling or resampling) and try to export with different size image:with 20000*30000 -or smaller -image the export works, always failed with image .The export failed to in scripting mode.
If I diveded my image in four , the export works but this solution is not convenient (I actually made tests for a fully automatised process, and we want to be sure that the indesign  component is  enough "safe")
I try the same action with an evaluation version of indesign CC 64 bits (v9.2) and have the same behavior.
I can imagine that there is a memory issue there, but my config seems to be strong ( windows server 64 with  16GB ram, DD with more than 100GB free). I don't undersant why-in a "full" 64 bit environnement- it is not possible to manipulate and export very large image ?
I'm wonder If the background task is a part of the problem, and if it 's possible to disable it in CS6 or CC as in cs5 ( creates an  “DisableAsyncExports.txt” file in  Adobe InDesign executable directoty don't seems to disable it  in CC or CS6).
Thank you for your help and good ideas..
    DC.

this is a .tif (not a "big"tiff) compressed in LZW or ZIP.
I just tried with another format (png), the error is the same...

  • Print PDF with special print options of Canon IR printer

    Hi,
We have a collection (db driven) of PDF documents that we want to send to our network printers. Some document need a hole punch of some other specific printeroptions of a Canon IR printer.
The ideal solutions is a windows application where i could define virtual printers with their print options (pdf and printer specific).
    Eg:
A user creates in a the windows app a virtual printer with name and print options
    - FastPunch: Printer IR5570 with hole punch
    - Fast: Printer IR5570
    - Color: IR C4080
    - ColorBooklet: IR C4080 with booklet options
When the app starts its batch it will look at de db and find rows with an PDF and the name of a virtual printer. The documents are printed with specific printer preferences.
Does someone has experience with such an solution? Tips?
Someone wants to make this in vb.net (or c#)? What cost?
    gtx, Pierre

I have downloaded the Acrobat SDK but I haven't really waded through the documentation or samples yet. I've only been working on this project for about 3 days now and not full time. This isn't the highest priority at work. I've worked a bit with the adobe reader control and that looks like it has some promise.
    I have two significant problems:
    1) I don't want the user to see any windows appear other than my console application. That way I have it working right now, Acrobat is required and appears minimized while the file is spooled and then is closed after spooling completes. Not so horrible but I'd like to get away from it if possible. To print the file right now I'm using the startprocess module or something (new version of shell I think). I'm starting the pdf with the verb "Printto" and that tells Acrobat to print to a printer that I specify.
2)Biggest problem. I have no reliable way to change the number of copies or any other print settings. I am not willing to write a program that spools a single copy multiple times just to get multiple copies. Currently my program uses rundll to open a printer preferences dialog, and SendKeys to modify the print settings. This means that the computer cannot be used while automated printing is occurring.
Right now the program's only saving grace is that it allows the user to be ignorant of the job settings so that all the user has to do is indicate an item number and quantity and walk away (hoping nothing changes the focus and derails SendKeys - but we know that kind of thing never happens in XP :P )

  • Insert PDF with Flash into another PDF and it does not display.

When attempting to insert an Adobe Acrobat file with flash elements into another Adobe Acrobat file, the latter will not display the file on screen. Instead it shows this message "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat X or Adobe Reader X, or later." Please help.

Yes I would have thought so. Adobe Acrobat and Reader have the ability to view flash content items however this is not the case. I will explain step by step what I am doing. I have done this for years before and I have recently formatted my computer and had to reinstall the software.
Here is a little background information:
    System:
    Windows 7 Professional 64bit
    AMD-FX 4100 Quad Core CPU
    8GB RAM
    250GB free on HDD
    Software Installed:
    Adobe Acrobat X Pro
    Adobe Reader XI
    Adobe Flash 17.0.0.134
Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010
    Steps taken:
    Open Outlook
    Select a few messages
Click on Convert to Adobe PDF
    Save the new file "toInsert.pdf"
    Open "main.pdf" file
Click and drag "toInsert.pdf" file from desktop into the thumbnail area of the "main.pdf" file to insert.
Attached Error. Please advise. Thank you.

  • Can't open PDF with flash after upgrade Reader 10.1.5 and Flash player 11.5.502.146

We rolled out Reader 10.1.5 and Flash 11.5.502.146 [Windows 7] this week and discovered that one can not view a PDF containing Flash content.
We receive the message "To view the Flash Technology content in this PDF file, please install the required version of Flash Player".
According to the Adobe Reader Blog "As mentioned in Three Common Adobe Reader and Acrobat Security Questions, unknown Flash will now be rendered by the system Flash Player (NPAPI version), when using Adobe Reader and Acrobat 10.1.5. Note: This has already been done for Reader and Acrobat 11. As stated before, this means that Adobe Reader/Acrobat users will no longer have to update Adobe Reader/Acrobat each time we update the Flash Player."
How could we resolve the problem?
