Failed ABAP process in process chain does not trigger subsequent process
Hello,
I have a issue in my process chain with the abap process type.
When this abap process gets failed due to some reason; it is not trigerring subsequent step in the chain.
Any ideas on how it can be solved or any work-around?
I searched the forum and got to know that we can create a copy of abap process type, and can change possible events to
"success or fail".
Please let me know your views on it or if someone has ever encountered similar issue.

Hi Anuj,
My guess is that you have your the link between the ABAP process type and the subsequent step to trigger on success. You can check this, Go to RSPC -> process chain and check the design. If the link has a green light on it, then it will trigger only on success of the abap process. You need to check with your design and confirm whether this need to be like this, (maybe the abap process is doing something which is required for the subsequent loads??)
If no then you can change the link type to either success of failure and activate the chain. This would resolve your problem.
If you cant change your chain, then i would suggest you correct the failure and then use the program RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH to push the chain further. Just search for this on the forums, there are plenty of blogs/threads on this.

Well you can make the ABAP process type send message
RSPC>from main menu Settings>Maintain process types
change mode -->select process type "ABAP" and change "possible events" to "Process ends successful or Incorrect" save it.
come out of process chain and goto the process chain maintenance again.
In regards to your question of 18 steps ,as i said you only need this ABAP process type once at the END of the Process chain to SET the flag status = X.
Another Process chain runs at 8.00 with only one process type ABAP process type to check the status in table if empty or X and send message accordingly,
Fyip - table RSPROCESSLOG and FM - RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH also available at your disposal to get some leads.
You can wait until some one has better solution and implemented it before,i just put my thoughts in to it,its not imperative for you.

If you have conflicts, I found it easiest to remove those (bbswitch, virtualbox in my case), downgrade linux and then install the appropriate bbs/vb packages -

I've installed XE 10.2 under Fedora Core 7 from the downloaded .rpm. The RPM installs fine, and I've run the config from the command line. I've edited my bash file to load the environment variables. Here's my hosts file:

Thank you both for your responses, my findings are as follows:
1. HOST=X.X.COM, ensure host is reachable : PING works and host(s) are reachable.
2. In RAC Env, ensure TNS Name is correctly spelled, spelling fine, i can connect with the tns name (is TNS name same as SERVICE_NAME?) by: sqlplus 'user/user@racenv'; but my efforts still will not allow me to use:
sqlplus 'user/user' it tells me that the host or object is does not exist, does this refer to the actual physical machine or the service name, or the instance name?
All host entries in my tnsnames.ora file refer to the vip addresses of both servers holding the rac installation, and both are resolved just fine, testing with ping; any other way to test this?
tnsnames file contains CONNECTION strings in the following order (does the listener entry need to be in the file? on the machine that i am trying to connect from?):

My database is in RAC on a RHEL 5 and oracle 10.2.0.4 release, when i connect from client at the first time it's connected and after exit and connect again it gives the error ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist. and trying to tnsping i can reach the server and connect again it's connected and after disconnect and reconnect it gives the same error.

Hi All,
We are using Oracle EBS R12 on Linux x86 Enterprise Server.
We have installed vision database (both apps and db on same machine)
Host name: ERPDEV
IP:192.168.1.211
We can connect from client machines to our database using sqlplus i.e.
sqlplus apps/****@vision
Similarly tnsping is also successfully returning results.
Also following commands are returning results
ping erpdev
ping 192.168.1.211
ping erpdev.domainname.com
All above commands are running fine.
However we are trying to create new "Legal Address Entry" through "Legal Entry Manager". After filling all the details like Location,Country,City etc, when I push the apply button, getting following error messages:
ORA-29273: HTTP request failed ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_HTTP", line 1674 ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist in Package xle_legal_address_swi Procedure create_legal_address
I dont know why this ORA-12545 error is occuring through application although all of the above tests are running fine from client terminals.
Do any one have any solution for this???

On my macbook pro
I'm try to set up a new Epson printer SX 445 to my router/network but each time I run the set up wizard it fails to complete saying Security Key/Password Check fail.
*entered security key/password does not match the one set for for router.
I know that the password is correct and have rechecked this by changing it a few times
and I still get the same result.
My network internet service provider is not interested and says to call Epson.
Anybody have any clues how I can resolve this?
RegardsI personally suggest the new Drobo FS. Since it has an iTunes server built in and you can use any size sata hard drive in it it is better and a NAS that has to use the same size drives.

Yikesyou have helped me before and I thank you for that. Funny how at the last resort I ask a question and then an hour later I fix something that has been broken for five days. I got off on the wrong foot with Lightroom installation and I really stepped in it...a lot had to do with a bad hard drive and all that. I still have remnants of catalogues etc so I am never quite sure where I am. I ran a search and found more than one .lrdata files. Database cloning is completed successfuly . database cloned in two nodes node1 and node2
Now cloning applicatino tier with above cloned database nodes but faicing above issue .
ThanksThere are many reasons why an ORA-12505 might be raised at applications cloning. For anyone on this board to assist, you will have to post the log file detail or list the clone execution file which raises this exception.

An ABAP Dump is encountered when doing the negative subsequent adjustment (posting a 102 movt type) on a Purchase Order via the Z function module. The dump only happens if the scenario satisfies the following conditions:
1.Material is either (but may not be limited to) 3000000234, 4000000121, 3000000210 (These are the only reported materials)
2.Order unit in Purchase Order is in MT
3.At 2nd weigh, Net Weight is less than PO Order Qty.
Note: No error occurs if same process is done via MIGO.

An exception/error occurs when calling function u201CMB_CREATE_MATERIAL_DOCUMENT_UTu201D .

Hello,
I am trying to trigger a scope at a certain point. I have a test signal coming after a regular sinusoid. I want to measure the output when the test signal arrives. What happens is that when my test signal comes after 1 second the trigger works perfectly fine but when my test signal comes after 3 seconds the scope does not trigger at the point I want and keeps on triggering at unwanted points. This is a conceptual question. Could anyone please help me in that.

I am not exactly sure what your external signal looks like, however I can suggest a couple things for you to look at. First, if the absolute value of your sine wave amplitude is less than the test point you want to measure, the scope can simply level trigger at that point. It should not matter if the signal comes in after 1 seconds or 3 seconds. The only problem you might be seeing with this is a timeout error. This is caused by the read function not being able to sample enough data within the default 5 seconds limit. Adjusting the timeout would help if you are getting this error.
If your test signal value you need to trigger off of is within the absolute value of your sine wave signal it becomes more difficult because if you specify to trigger off of a rising edge 0.5V signal this point will occur many times before the ideal trigger point. Perhaps a combination of using the trigger hold off and trigger delay might help you time the start of your acquisition a little better. If this does not help, can you please post more detail about the sine wave, your test point you want to trigger off and the behavior you are currently seeing.
