Failed download purchase

Have tried to buy the same Royal Bliss album download 3 times over a week, never gives error message, never downloads. It was an album completion, system asked if I wanted to complete the album at a reduced price, I click that tab and then nothing happens.
Trying to find actual e-mail support for itunes led me on a seemingly endless loop of FAQ's, but no actual support.

Error message 8003 shows up regarding failed download
of theTV show Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica. BUT!
My internet connection is fully functional -
evidence: While the 2hour season premiere was being
successfully downloaded, Part 1 & 2 of the Exodus
episode failed 1/2 and 1/4 into their download; all
this while STILL connected to the internet and as the
Season 3 two hour opener downloaded. SO, WHAT'S WRONG?
This reply to my own inquiry can only happen within the fog of our tower of babel. For those of you with similar problems, here's my solution: CLOSE iTUNES; RESTART iTUNES; GO TO THE MENU BAR UNDER "STORE" & CLICK ON CHECK FOR PURCHASES. Take it from there and, at least in my case, the download picked up where it had left off. Good luck.

I subscribed for 3 months to a magazine and an error occurred while downloading - purchase validation failed (code:1001)  any ideas?

From an answer on the Web
    1001 (PurchaseValidationError)
    This means your purchase failed.
This occurs when attempting to download an Issue where the receipt used by the App and the receipt recorded by Apple are mismatched. Apple's server will report that the user is ineligible for the Issue and the download will fail.
Contact support for a resolution - from your app press the help button on the bottom right, then feedback - follow the instructions from there.

  • There was a problem updating InDesign CC For more information see the specific error below.  Update Failed Download error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)

Posted the entire text from the error window, when trying to update, using the normal NON-TECHIE way to update any and all Adobe CC products, via the Creative Cloud updater installed when Adobe Creative Cloud subscription was purchased when first offered.
    The following occurs, ad nauseam:
There was a problem updating InDesign CC
For more information see the specific error below.
    Update Failed
Download error.  Press Retry to try again or contact customer support.(49)
Here's the crux of my frustration:
    (1) Customer Service is NOT contact-able, to receive LIVE help.
    (2) There is NO way for me to mitigate this "Download error", being a student learning InDesign, and NOT in any way capable of tweaking folders/files here and there.
    Therefore, the real question:
Given that a significant number of subscribers are having the above referenced issue with attempting to download the current update for InDesign, WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO, in order to get our contractually paid-for updates to our legally and contractually paid-for Adobe software, specifically in my case, InDesgin's current update?
Please, NO TECHNICAL mumbo-jumbo which most likely will cause the overwhelming majority of users, like me, to seriously corrupt their computer files, but rather an honest, straightforward "what to do" from real CS/Engineers working for Adobe, as to how to FIX this issue, period.
    ===========================================================
    UPDATE:
Here is a way in which I think I was able to "update" my InDesign CC application:
    (1) Sign-In to your Adobe Account
    https://www.adobe.com/
    (2) Click on the MENU icon
    (3) Click on the product InDesign icon
Your browser should display the page for Adobe InDesign CC
    https://www.adobe.com/products/indesign.html?promoid=KLXLU
    (4) Click on the Download icon,
Your browser should now display the page to download InDesign,
    https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/indesign
    (5) a Pop-Up window should open, and display:
      Launch Application
This link needs to be opened with an application.
with the first option to select being the CreativeCloud(URIHandler)
    (5) Select this application and click OK.
What happened when I followed steps (1) thorugh (5) is that:
    (a) InDesign CC(2014) was installed,
    (b) InDesign CC, updated, and then
    (c) InDesign CC(2014), also updated.
Why this all worked, is a mystery to me.
Looks like a separate, "new" version of InDesign, InDesign CC(2014), was installed, the existing "old" InDesign was updated, and then the newly installed Indesign CC(2014) was further updated.
A BIT MORE, when I launched my InDesign CC app, and checked to see if there were Updates Available, there in fact was an Adobe InDesign CC 64 bit (9.2.2) update.
I clicked on UPDATE and my "old" InDesign CC app was "successfully updated."
FURTHER INFO:  I may have neglected to list some important info ... OS:  Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center, 64-bit
Confused, I am able to launch BOTH of these apps, and hopefully I may use one of these versions of the InDesign CC app, to do some InDesign work.
    Will keep y'all posted!

  • I can download purchased music but cannot play music from the Cloud

Is there a problem playing music from the Cloud? I cannot play music with iTunes (PC) and iOS 6.0.1, but I can download purchased music form iTunes Store. Maybe there is a problem with server?

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.  Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reaosn you have failed to backup, then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod.  File>Transfer Purchases

  • Help?! I use multiple Apple ID's to download purchases to my phone and am having trouble getting purchases from them all?!

    Hi,
This situation has been causing me much stress and frustration for about a week now and I really hope I can get help here.
I got my first iPhone 5 this past June and synced purchases from my mom's computer to my phone and was able to use my own Apple ID to purchase music to my phone just fine. Everything was fine with having purchases from my Apple ID and from my mom's Apple ID on my phone until I recently got my new HP 2000 laptop with Windows 8 and set up an iTunes library under my own Apple ID. Before setting up iTunes on my computer, I cleared out my music library (containing songs purchased from my Apple ID and my mom's) due to an issue with my playlists. I re-synced my phone with my music on my computer and ran into a problem: I had to delete apps and tones bought with my mom's Apple ID. Not caring or thinking I let it delete the few apps and tones I synced from my mom's library. I got all my songs back on my phone and fixed the playlist issue. Everything was good, but I have songs and other purchases on my mom's account that I want on my phone. I read that I can't sync with two libraries though, which is a bummer. So, I decided to just sign in to her account on my phone and re-download purchases right from there. Well, when I tried I got a warning that stated, "this device is already associated with another Apple ID" and it tells me if I want to transfer purchases from her account, I'll have to wait 90 days if I want to re-download purchases from other Apple ID's? What does that mean? Is there away around all this so I can get purchases from other accounts on my phone without running into that warning? Will I be able to get the purchases to my phone at all?
I apologize if this is confusing, I'd be more than happy to provide any further clarification to those willing to help me. All replies are very much appreciated. Thank you to those who can help in advance!

Have you tried signing out and then back in?

Authorize the coumputer.  Go to store in the top of the screen and authorize it.

  • I have a few failed downloads on my iPod that I have bought and paid for. I don't care about the money but I would like to know how to delete them? Is there a way I can do it on my iPod without using a computer?

I have a few failed downloads in the 'downloads' section on iTunes. It won't let me download any other video and it keeps asking me to 'tap to retry' I don't really care about the money lost but can anyone tell me if I can delete them from my iPod? Thanks x

Have you tried resetting your iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • How do I set up my new Macbook Pro to associate with my Apple ID so I can download purchased music?

How do I set up my new Macbook Pro to associate with my Apple ID so I can download purchased music?
Under 'Manage Devices' it only lists my iPhone and iMac. I've bought stuff on my new Macbook Pro using my Apple ID, but I can't find music I previously purchased using the iMac.

Oh, wait, I've found it. Silly me!

  • I have a windows pc.  How can I download purchased items which have become corrupted on my PC.  I can't use iCloud

I have a windows pc.  How can I download purchased items which have become corrupted on my PC.  I can't use iCloud without an Apple device.  I have gone into purchased but next to each title it merely says 'downloaded'.  I need to download them again.  It will cost a fortune to re-purchase the corrupted music!

I tried that but it just shows 'downloaded'.  There is no little cloud next to that wording.  On an Itunes help page it shows a 'library icon' once you have logged in but that does not appear on my version of ITunes which is 11.1.  I have lost so many peices of music!  Is this some ploy by Apple to get you to buy them all over again??  Thanks for you response, if you can think of anything else I would be most grateful

  • My itunes files were deleted. I was able to use an old back up file to restore some but new downloaded purchases from iTunes for the past 5 months weren't in the back up. How do I get those back since I've paid for them one before and use the same account

My itunes files were deleted. I was able to use an old back up file to restore some but new downloaded purchases from iTunes for the past 5 months weren't in the back up. How do I get those back since I've paid for them one before? Can you redownload? If so, how?? Please help as I'm missing over 500 previously paid for and downloaded iTunes song purchases.

This was EXACTLY what I needed about the purchases I made from my device. However, is there a way to re-download other ones you've made from a computer? Because I realized some of them were not just purchased from my device.
This is a picture of what it looks like now:
    http://tinypic.com/r/107quxu/7
As you can see, the stuff circled in red doesn't give me an option to download from Cloud Beta because it already says "downloaded".
any way to get around that?

  • 1 Mac & 1 PC using iTunes with same account: download purchased?

I have two computers: one a Mac (running OS X) and another a PC (running Vista). Using the same iTunes account, I've purchased music on both computers. However, when I go to "purchased" on each computer it only shows that purchases I've made on each machine (not the combined purchases). How can I download purchases on one computer that was made on another (that used the same account)?

I understand that; however, the purpose of O/S evaluation use is to (hopefully) resolve these kinds of issues in advance of final release. Since this is a user forum, I thought that possibly someone might have an idea. I'm not usre if the issue relates to the O/S or possibly to a security setting related to the O/S that is preventing the song download and the application to acknowledge being authorized.

  • Automatic Downloads and Strange Error Message: "You can auto-download purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days"

    Hi gang-
Yesterday I noticed that iTunes on my iMac had not auto-downloaded several new songs that I had recently purchased on my iPhone.    In iTunes Preferences, under Store -> Automatic Downloads, I always have Music selected so all songs purchased from any device using my Apple ID normally download automatically.
To troubleshoot this, I double-checked my Preferences and sure enough, Music was de-selected under Automatic Downloads.   I then Selected it and clicked OK.   Here's where it gets weird and I get this error message:
This computer is already associated with an Apple ID.  You can auto-download purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. You cannot associate this computer with a different Apple ID for 84 days.
I read and re-read this message and none of it seems to apply to me.   I have only one Apple ID.   I am currently logged in with iTunes to that one Apple ID.   All my iTunes Music ever has been purchased with that one Apple ID.   I am not trying to associate this computer or any other with a different Apple ID.
I logged iTunes out and then back in again and tried all the above- but same error message.
So, as it is now, I am unable to turn on Automatic Downloads in iTunes.
Anyone know what the heck is going on?
    Thanks!
    Dave

    Hey gang-
Okay, this gets more and more bizarre.   I sent a support email to Apple and basically they said  "...it seems that someone else associated your Mac with their Apple ID. That's the reason your purchases won't download."
Yikes!   My wife and I live alone- and we have exactly one and only one Apple ID.    Would somebody have needed physical access to my iMac to do that?
Support then said "You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer."
Okay- so I logged into My Account in iTunes.   On the list of associated devices, my own iMac is NOT on that list.   But I am logged in under the same Apple ID I've had for years on that iMac.
So my big question right now is...if my iMac (that I've owned for 5 years) has somehow been dis-associated from my Apple ID, how do I find out what Apple ID it is associated with?
Thanks gang for trying to help me unravel a mystery.
    Dave
PS- Here's an Apple Tech article on iTunes associations, but it doesn't really go beyond what we've discussed above:
