Failed engineer appointment and no follow-ups

Hello,
I ordered Infinity 2 on 26th of June and was given an appointment date of 10th July.
Hub arrived fine 2 days prior, but on the appointment date no one turned up, nor did I receive any phonecalls or texts from Openreach to explain. Called Order Management and the agent advised that he couldn't get an answer from anyone as to why my appointment had been ignore, and so he raised a complaint for me.
Received a call on Monday the 14th as promised, and was advised that the appointment had not gone ahead due to an issue with the DSLAM - this issue was to be resolved by the end of the next day (ie 15th) and I would receive a call on the 16th. No one called me today to follow up on this and I didn't get any texts, emails or voicemails.
I currently have no idea what is happening with the order. I also have 1 day of lost pay for the 10th, and 7 days (and counting) loss of service.
Firstly, shouldn't an issue with a DSLAM have been rectified quite quickly, considering that this would surely affect every FTTC customer connected to that cabinet?
Secondly, is there any way that I can get BT to escalate this with Openreach, or at least find out what is happening and any estimated ETAs?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Another user had success doing the following:
    I got some help from an apple assistant on the phone. It is kind of round about way to get in.
    Here is what he said to do and it is working for me...
      a. on the device that is asking you for the security questions go to "settings", > "store" >
          tap the Apple ID and choose view"Apple ID" and sign in.
      b. Tap on payment information and add a credit/debit card of your preference then select
          "done", in the upper right corner
      c. sign out and back into iTunes on the device by going to "settings"> "store" > tap the
          Apple ID and choose "sign-out" > Tap "sign -in" > "use existing Apple ID" and you
          should be asked to verify your security code for the credit /debit card and NOT the
          security questions.
      d. At this time you can remove the card by going back in to edit the payment info and
          selecting "none" as the card type then saving the changes by selecting "done". You
          should now be able to use your iTunes store credit without answering the security
          questions.
    It's working for me ...I just have to put in my 3 digit security pin from the credit card I am using.

  • Engineer appointment cancelled without notificatio...

    Hey,
    We ordered Infinity option 2 on 21 April 2011 and it is supposed to be activated this Friday (13th May).
    However, it now says "Your appointment is no longer required, as our engineer can connect your line without requiring access to your premises. The engineer will work to connect your line at the exchange."
    I have done a bit of searching, and it seems an engineer visit is definitely needed for an Infinity installation. Could someone confirm whether or not this is the case, and if so, what my next step should be?

    Just a heads-up If I were you, I would edit out your VOL number from your post; it is personal to you and shouldn't be disclosed publicly, for security reasons. I would also consider editing out your username and password details for the same reason.

  • All downloads failing to mount and iTunes not recognising iPod!

    My iBook G4 (Model No A 1055) needs alot of updates however i can't install anything. It downloads to the Desktop fine but when i go to open the attachment so i can actually install it a message comes up saing "The following disk images failed to mount" and the reason is a "corrupt image". I have tried to do this with Firefox, iTunes and Adobe and they all say the same!
    I also now have issues with iTunes (7.2) which is all of a sudden not recognising my iPod shuffle (2nd gen). It doesn't come up in devices or anything when plugged in my iPod shuffle will just flash orange a few times and then nothing. I have tried to connect it to another (and much newer) Mac computer however it doesn't recognise it on there either.
    Has technology just got so good my lappy is basically extinct and i need a new one or is there something i / Apple can do to help get me up to date with everything? Any help and feedback would be really appreciated.

    if you are running OS 10.3, it's pretty much obsolete
    you can try getting OS 10.5 installed, but it can slow down the computer, 10.4 is not much use anymore either.

    It made sense to me, but its still puzzling me after restarting a router would (in my first attempt) resolve the issue for a day.  This this time I applied the port forwarding TCP and UDP ports and saved the settings in the DLink DIR-655 and both my iPad2 and iPhone 3GS were now again finding the share. My ATV2 is also now accepting the Share.
    Tommorrow will be the true test.

                 The control would be something like this for navigation in Get_p_xxx method u mention as link and u mention a event name which gets triggered on the click of this hyperlink. So your GET_P_XXX method would have the following code:

    Now my installation failed with "Start Java engine "phase as in the attached screenshot.
    scs00 instance is failing and i am unable to start it.

    Essentially my application manager failed while it was upgrading itself as I was attempting to fix a problem with Acrobat/the Adobe PDF printer constantly failing after printing only one PDF. The updater/application manager then simply disappeared from my system altogether.
    At the time of the original problem I had downloaded ApplicationManager7.0_all.exe; if I attempt to run it I get a pop-up window 2/3rds of the way through the installation and the following message 'Installer failed to initialise. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem'.
    Adobe Support Advisor no longer exists.
    So I tried the latest version - ApplicationManager8.0_all.exe. This installed just fine, but seems to be entirely oriented around CC applications, so I haven't tried it on my CS6 programs. Should I just uninstall it? I rather wonder why it says 'This patch will install the Adobe Application Manager that is included with Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Creative Suite 6, Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 products' if, in fact, it's just for CC products.
    So, any suggestions on what to do now? I'd really like to be able to update my applications via a Manager that will actually function.

    Frankly, this is ridiculous.
    Having been driven nuts by the 'Acrobat manager is not activated' message which persisted in popping up if I made any attempts beyond one to create a PDF - that is, I could print one, and then no others without a reboot, nor having done so could I read any PDFs - I searched online and got a discouraging, tangled mess of suggestions, including the fairly obvious one of checking that all programs had been updated by the Application Manager.
    'Ah,' I thought, 'maybe if I ensure everything's up-to-date this thing where Acrobat failing to start because it thinks it's not 'activated' means I can neither read nor print PDFs will be miraculously fixed without my having to install magical patches or deregister and reregister the entire suite in order to appease a program I don't even use or want!'
    Poor naive fool that I am!
    So I tried to run the Application Manager.
    It momentarily flashed a message claiming (I believe - it was only there for a second) another instance of itself was running, then proceeded to run an update process for the application itself, then threw up an administration window seeking to allow the program to modify the system about 2/3rds of the way through, and then announced via a little window with one of those horrible little red 'fail' symbols that the application manager had failed to install.
    It sure had!
    That's it - I now have no Application Manager to attempt to manage updates through! No shortcut - that disappeared too! Nothing in the hideous Windows 8 start menu! No search will reveal it! It's simply gone. Yes, I've rebooted.
    All I can find online suggests installing a new instance of the Application Manager, which is, of course, the CC version, and I'm not a subscriber. OK, maybe that will work, but, quite frankly, with two strikes against Adobe already I'm going to ask if anyody actually knows whether this approach, or any other, is likely to solve the problem.

    Thanks for the reply, Jeff. Sure am! But that's not the main problem.
    However, it appears the main problem has been fixed - via the installation of AAM 8 - a mere 9 months later! CS6 updates - woohoo!
    This didn't fix the Adobe PDF printing thing - in fact, I just lost everything I'd previously typed in response to you testing this hadn't been fixed by AAM 8's updates (it hasn't!).
    However, during the 9 month fallow period I've discovered that if I keep process explorer open and kill the splwow64.exe/acrotray.exe process tree after every single PDF printing  I don't get bizarre messages telling me the Adobe PDF printer isn't 'activated' or have my system go into a tizzy and need rebooting. So it still doesn't really work, but I do have a work-around...

  • Things an engineer can and can't do

    Hi, all.  Was hoping someone could help me with some clarification.
    I arranged to get BT Infinity installed for my elderly mother who is recovering from a brain tumour and who has very limited mobility.  I couldn't be there for the appointment because of work, but the instructions I received simply said to make sure there was a working power supply nearby which there was, so I wasn't too worried.
    I rang her during the appointment and talked with the engineer.  First of all he wasn't too sure where the master socket was and said he probably couldn't do it today.  I asked about him fitting one as part of the service, which I'd heard posted on here before.  Then he said it was maybe behind the cabinet that my mum's photos sit on.  He said he wasn't allowed to move this. 
    Now the cabinet isn't particularly big, are engineers not allowed to move any furniture at all?  My mum obviously couldn't do it, so I suggested my burly neighbour could do it since I knew he was in at the time and had no problem helping her out.
    10 Minutes later I get a text saying appointment was having to be re-arranged.  I phoned my mum and the engineer apparently just said that he'd have to come back, wasn't interested in getting the neighbour to help.  He didn't even set up a return visit date or anything, the onus seems to be on my mother to chase up this new appointment, nothing has even been posted on her order tracker.
    All in all I'm pretty unhappy with the way things went.  The engineer seemed like he'd decided he wasn't going to be able to do it as soon as he arrived, first the problems with even finding the master socket and then the furniture.
    Is this normal?  I do understand health and safety issues but the engineer seemed particularly unhelpful.

    The master socket was never actually mentioned when I ordered, it was all done online.  The only thing the emails etc said was to make sure there was power available nearby.
    The main problem I have is that in my opinion the engineer seemed to think this was going to be a bit of work and was immediately trying to reschedule it.  The first thing he said to me on the phone was that he couldn't find/there was no master socket and would need a new appointment, when I had read that putting one in was part of the serviice (and I thought it was behind the cabinet).  So it sounded like he was trying to write it off already.
    So I mentioned this and he then said he couldn't move the cabinet.  I agree you have to be careful in this litigous day and age but I had a neighbour who would do it no problem and it just seemed like the engineer wasy trying to get to his next appointment and had already decided it was not going to happen, pretty shortly after arrival.
    I think that on a different day with a different engineer this would have been taken care of, and thats what's so frustrating

    This is error code RSDS062. It means that the datasource cannot be found in the tbl RSDS.
    So search in RSDS for the datasource, & check what version it is.
    If OBJVER is M, then it must be activated.
    Did you follow SAP Note 886102 for the system copy?
    You need to follow each step of the scenario pertaining to your copy.
    When running BDLS, generally four scenarios can happen:
    1) no records for either the old or the new name -> table skipped
    2) records with the old name exist -> conversion goes through
    3) records with the new name exist -> table skipped with warning =>
        manual intervention needed, but doublecheck is recommended. In th
        case the conversion log shows '<<' at the affected tables.
    4) records with the old and the new name coexist -> records are skip
        with warning or error (depending on the flag for existence check,
        which is always set except test conversions) -> you have to analy
        the records and to manually delete that records which hold the ol
        logical name and have their identical counterparts which are hold
        the new name.
    Also, implement these notes if missing from your BW system:
    1224597  P19:BDLS:DataSource not converted
    1142908 70SP19: BDLS does not convert DTPs
    1149141 70SP18/19: BDLS: Improvements log

    The PID referenced in the event points to WmiPrvSE.exe running as NETWORK SERVICE.  Is there something obvious I'm missing because I'm not sure where to go with the information I found so far.  I already did my fair sharing of Binggling and everything
