Failed install - error code 2 (CS4)

I had PS CS4 installed and running on a new HP Probook Notebook running Windows 7 Pro. The computer threw some error messages (I don't recall the specifics) and required a restart. Which initiated a system restore. The restore did get me up and running, but PS was missing. I attempted to reinstall and it failed. I've done the following:
1. Multiple attempts to install from CD.
2. System restore to the only date left after the crash (9-1) which was after the date I installed PS.
3. Attempted to remove PS with Windows - does not fully remove, file folders left.
4. Attempted to remove PS with Revo Installer (per HP tech assistance) - removed registry entries, but files persisted on drive.
5. Attempted new install. Program goes through process but finished with errors - indicated "Error Code 2" and nothing else.
6. PS and Bridge now on menu, but I get an error stating "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application."
Which won't work. HP has sent me to Adobe for help. Thoughts?

Chicagodom the use of the system restore feature can often lead to unexpected results/behavior.

Sccm 2012 agent not installing with error CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80041013

We have sccm 2012 r2 enviroment , when we deploy client agent to one DC , client agent is not getting install with below error .. I can able to install agent to all the machines except one DC.
CcmGetOSVersion failed with 0x80041013
CcmSetup failed with error code 0x80041013
Any idea ?

The error code 0x80041013 translates to:
Provider load failure

Flash Player Install failed with error code: 30

Hi, I want to report a problem with the Adobe Flash Player 13.0.0.182 (Mac OS X, English) installer on OS X 10.9.2. Mavericks. I'm posting this so the engineers will know what to fix in the next update version.
I have a 2013 iMac so according to Adobe blog posts it shouldn't be affected by the invalid cpu instruction issue.
Symptom is the first installer downloads the 2nd, starts to launch it, then quits it with "Error: Unable to proceed with the installation" and a green (success?) checkmark. The GUI provides no other assistance except to "FINISH", which leads to the generic "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." page.
The system log says: Adobe Flash Player Install Manager[22567]: Install failed with error code: 30.

Regardless... I still recommend "falling back" to 12 until they get this release right for everyone. I've read plenty of posts in the Apple forums from new iMac, Mini and MacBook users who've had nothing but trouble. Even the "gurus" there are linking to Chris Campbell's post here:

OS 10.10, MBP 2011 i7, latest updates. I ran the installer by opening up the app package and invoking the install via terminal. at the 75% mark ( download finishes ) the installer fails. in the terminal I got this maybe helpful error message. any idea on getting flash to install ? its worse because I've run the uninstaller so parts of various websites don't work now

ok, its a permissions error because the installer isn't at the right run level, even asking for my admin password. if I do
sudo Install Adobe Flash Player.app
[enter password]
Installer now runs. it generates a bunch of error messages in the terminal

the install actually finishes though and flash is working… YAH ! but only a semi uber geek would ever figure this out or think to try it. please fix the installer as its got a problem under 10.10

I could find the answer after searching previous posts about this language problem.
Had to change my language in AAM profile and then download PS CS6 again ( english version ).
Then open the actual Photoshop and in preferences > interface you can besides the Dutch also option for English.
restart application and Voila.

Re-install on top of CS6 had to do that myself when I had perpetual CS6 installed and tried to update to Subscription version. Perpetual CS 6 13.0.1.3 Windows 13.0.6 Mac are different then 13.1.2 subscription version

Sorry to hear about your difficulties.
My recommendation would be
- Uninstall PS via Mac HD > Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers (Mac OS X)
- Create a new user with Admin rights, log out of your current account and into the newly created one

Can someone please help me figure out what I may be doing wrong? Using recent downloaded versions of 8i and 9iAS I cannot access Portal30 using IE5 browser. Please see error below. During portal configuration I specified connect string of oracle:1521:dba1. The connectstring entry of the DAD is dba1. I ran ssodatan. The database is open, listener is listening and SQL*Plus, DBA Studio, Net8 Assistant all connect to dba1 fine. Discussions mention cookies, upgrades, etc., but nothing definitive. Troubleshooting Guide does not reference error 6550. I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

TNS is unable to connect to destination. Invalid TNS address supplied or destination is not listening. This error can also occur because of underlying network transport problems.
Verify that the TNS name in the connectstring entry of the DAD for this URL is valid and the database listener is running.

I met that error several times. Check TNS connection from web server box to database server, if applicable. - use tnsping.
That's the only cause that produces the error. If the web server box has more than one Oracle Home, find the correct one. Check $iAS_home/Apache/bin/apachectl script which will tell you its oracle home directory. It may not use $TNS_ADMIN/tnsnames.ora, but $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/tnsnames.ora.
