Failed installation - Missing patch

I have used several Adobe products for years. I received a PDF file. It failed to print. I tried downloading a new reader several times. I consistently get a 'ERROR' Failed to access installation patch, please verify existance or contact Adobe.

I tried using the above cleaner as sugested. When I tried reinstalling using your sugestion also above it - failed. It said that I had a later version. I had version 11.03.
I contacted Adobe again but just got a run around as it was a free product. I have had many Adobe products over the years and as a new version was developed I down loaded it. Acrobat, Reader, Photoshop, Flash player etc. How I discovered the problem was when I tried to open and print my Turbo Tax return. A search for Adobe products revels 94 files in existance!! Adobe asked for a serial number that I couldn't find so they said GOOD BY.

  • Failing installation - Missing system mailbox accounts

I had installed Exchange 2013 SP1 and it seemed to be working correctly. I installed CU7 and everything fell apart. Massive errors all over the place. I gave up and removed all mailboxes, removed the databases, and uninstalled Exchange 2013.  I then
went into ADUC and manually removed the remaining system mailboxes.
I reloaded a brand new install of Server 2012 R2 (same name as previous exchange 2013 install) and I went to install Exchange 2013 again.  I ran it from the GUI and did not run /PrepareSchema or /PrepareAD in advance.  My understanding was that
running the GUI would do this and since the prepare schema switch in particular is unnecessary since the schema was already updated from the previous install I did not worry about it.
    Install fails with:
    Error:
    The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();
              if ( ($server -eq $null) -and ($RoleIsDatacenter -ne $true) )
                Update-RmsSharedIdentity -ServerName $RoleNetBIOSName

So yes the federated mailbox referenced above does not exist.  As I said I thought the install would have run the /PrepareAD steps and created it.  So I try and run the setup /PrepareAD myself to generate the system mailboxes and that fails:

Stuck.  Can't finish install, can't uninstall.
I should also mention. I have a working Exchange 2007 server in the environment.

Holy guacamole!  I was able to finish the setup.
When I ran setup /PrepareAD I also ran /PrepareSchema and /PrepareDomain but I did it in the usual order: PrepareSchema first, PrepareAD second and PrepareDomain third.
I figured, “can’t hurt, might help.”  The schema theoretically should have already been extended when I installed CU7 onto my SP1 install. But as I posted here:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/2de87b3f-52e4-4c1c-8f18-421f948d41c3/seemingly-successful-install-of-exchange-2013-sp1-turns-into-many-errors-in-event-logs-after-upgrade?forum=exchangesvrdeploy#697e5abf-180b-4d78-b841-b5a46cb1ee63
    that did not go well.
I noticed lots of event log entries on the DC saying the schema had been modified.
That may be normal even if running PrepareSchema again but I wonder if it was not an indication that the schema had actually not been extended from SP1 to CU7 after all.
What was common to both of these problematic installs of CU7 was that I had simply run setup and not done the preinstall switches.
The Exchange installation wizard is supposed to do this but I am now wondering if the wizard for CU7 actually does not.
If CU7 had made the configuration changes on the exchange server without doing whatever changes were necessary from the preinstall switches, that might help explain why it all went wobbly (in the technical sense) after the CU7 install on my first server.
Sadly though I see many of the same error messages in the event log that I was seeing on my first install.

  • Failed download error message and missing patch message, why?

For the last couple of days I've been trying to download premiere pro cc and the first time I got a message saying  'missing patch' and I needed to update. I clicked on the update but it kept failing. SO, I uninstalled premiere and adobe cloud and tried to reinstall them. Everything was fine for the cloud installer but now, I keep getting 'Dowload error' message for premiere pro.
    What is wrong?
I'm using the latest macbook pro 15" retina display.
    thanks

Any ideas on how I get in touch with a real person online to answer some questions instead of filling in random chat forms? This is getting old really fast....

  • Failed Installation when installing a Patch

Version: Sun One Web Server 6.1 SP8
    OS: Windows 2003 SP2
I am trying to install a patch (it seems that this problem is happening no matter what patch I install) and towards the middle of the installation I get the following error:
    "1628: Failed to complete installation"
The install goes through these steps before I get the Error.
    -Configuring Windows installer
    -Extracting patch-id.msp
-Extracting ISScript1150.msi (hangs half way here for about 10sec)
    -then Error
If I try to run the patch-id.msp file the install creates on the temp directory I get the following message:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on yuor computer and that you have the correct upgrade path."
    Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

    Hey,
I've got the same problem and was wondering did you ever get to the bottom of it?
    Cheers,

Edit: Oh and the Built in iSight doesn't work either. Awesome.
You should solve one problem at a time.
If your system does not recognize Windows, don't start playing with VM ware or Parallels. You don't fix something by bypassing it.
If you cannot boot into your Windows partition using bootcamp, that that's the first thing to fix.

  • Smpatch update ALERT: Failed to install patch

I do not even know where to start. Since installing Solaris 10 0606 it
seems every time I try to patch the system I get failures of one type
or another. One problem today has to do with zones:
"To install the new instance of this package in all zones you must
first remove the existing instance of this package from the global
zone first (via pkgrm) and then install the new instance of this
    package in all zones."
If sun already knows a pkgrm must be run why can't the smpatch command
    just do it?
    Another problem seems to be
For patch 121018-03, required patch 120759-04 does not exist
If sun knows a patch is required which is not on the system just Getit
    and install it.
Also, what is up with having to reboot the box to install patches?
Why? Has this always been a required step? Do these reboots pertain only to kernel patches .etc?
I have seen other postings in this forum expressing unhappiness with
the patch system, some mentioning testing lab/group or certification
issues. I think smpatch should have an option to send smpatch results
back to sun for review. That way the Certification Group could have
real life situations to investigate. Or do they know the problems
already and just dont want to fix them? Just once I would love it if
smpatch came back with no failures and I was assured the system was
patched, up to date and secure.

Enterprise users have strict policies on change management so dependent patches are not automatically installed when using "smpatch add". Neither are packages blithly uninstalled for zones if currently only existing in the global zone.
For your needs using "smpatch update" should analyse, download and install dependant patches in order for patches specified on the command line or for a global update. Note that that is with the exception of patches not matching the currently defined patch policy such as those needing a reboot. See the smpatch man page for information on policies.
Patches requiring reboots or being installed in single user mode are primarily for kernel and driver patches.
Your problems installing the Sun Studio 11 patches have been encountered previously in regards to globally installed packages (and are covered in this forum) and is due to a combination of bug ID's 6337009, 6214678 and 6374972 for the patching utilities of which the last is still open.
You will currently have to manually install the patches using patchadd with the "-G" flag whilst in the global zone to install them in the global zone only.

Hi Bill, yes, I can do that. Created one several levels deep.
I assume you mean HS is running on Vista. It's not clear if you're
problem is in creating that directory on RDS remote host (from a HS

    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/resourcecenter/resourcecenter.cfm?pagename=hs%5F52%5Fupdater& loc=en%5Fus&)
To update to HS 5.5, it would cost a HS 5.0 customer US$29.
    More at
    http://www.adobe.com/products/homesite/productinfo/upgrade/
That said, no release of HS specifically lists Vista as
supported (see the requirements page, which lists Win2k3 as tha
    latest OS specifically supported):
    http://www.adobe.com/products/homesite/productinfo/systemreqs/
I'll point out as well that if one has Dreamweaver 8, that
includes HomeSite+ 5.5 free on the CD (you use the DW license to
    register it).
If anyone would ask about the difference between HomeSite and
HomeSite+, I'd point you to a blog entry I did (one of many, by
myself and others over the years):

  • Windows 8 64-bit, failed installations and RAID 1 resync on HP ENVY h8-1520z

I recently purchased an HP Envy h8-1520z with a single SSD and 8 GB RAM running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit.  I installed 2 Western Digital 500 GB WDC WD5000AAKX-001CA0 HDDs on SATA ports 5 & 6 and configured them as RAID 1 in the BIOS.  I have started installing apps on the RAID 1 array (E since the SSD is only 256 GB.
While installing software, some install fine, but often the installation hangs with no errors indicated and I have to kill the installer task through task manager.  I usually follow that with a system shutdown or restart and almost every time that results in a resync of the RAID array.  Sometimes the shutdown or restart is quick, and other times it takes several minutes with intermittent disk activity as indicated by the drive light.  I have sometimes given up after 10 minutes or so and powered down by holding down the power button.  I can understand a resync after the forced power down, but it seems that all it takes to cause a resync is a failed installation, and that seem to happen a lot, even with software that explicitly says it is Windows 8 compatible.  Sometimes the applications run fine even after an apparently failed installation and other times not so much.
Has anybody else seen this behavior or have any suggestions?  I’d like to get this sorted out before I load any more software.

    Hi,
Did you check each hard drive for straps? There should not be any straps installed on the hard drive. These drives do have strapping posts.
Did you use the AMD RaidExpert to create the array volume?  Did you wait until the RAID migration was complete before using the array volume?
Check the AMD RaidExpert for errors. It's possible that you have a bad hard drive(s).
Many applications want to be installed on the C drive.  Your SSD is 256GB so you should have plenty of space for most applications and the application performance will be improved.  Use the RAID 1 array to keep and store your data. The mirroring process of RAID 1 will protect it in case one hard drive fails.
You might want to consider removing all of the data etx.. from the array, use the AMD RAIDExpert to delete out the array volume.  I would then run for hard drive diagnostics.  If the hard drives are free from errors then use disk management to separately reformat each hard drive.  Now go back to the AMD RaidExpert and create your new array volume.
Be sure to review the software and bios updates for your PC.

  • Failed installation: How to rerun Adobe Application Manager updates for Photoshop CS6

    Hi.
The installation of  Adobe Extension Manager CS6 failed - while 2 others update for Photoshop CS6 did intall. I was installing Adobe Reader X .
That's why I discovered the notication from the application manager about updates for CS6 - and I just confirmed that as well.
Apparently the Reader installation blocked only the update installation of Adobe Extension Manager CS6 - saying another installation process was running ... such stuff happens sometimes.
However, it seems Adobes Application Manager update module does not track its failed installations? It does not automatically advertise that update has not been installed and notifiying me again to install it. At least not immediately ...
So how do I rerun the Adobe Application Manager update moduel to check for updates manually?

    You go Photoshop CS6 > Help > Updates ...

  • Installation failed installation completed through some components failed to instal correctly

Hello i've been really exited to donload photoshop and so i decided to try the free version i downloaded creative cloud and went into th eapps and click on photoshop try it free i waited a few 30 mins and it stopped and told me this
installation failed installation completed through some components failed to instal correctly.
and then i was like whatttt?!?!?!?!?
so I decided to come here and ask why this is happening please answer ASAP I really need photoshop for important stuff!!!

Try restarting your computer, then try again. Awhile back, some of the apps which I think included photoshop require the microsoft runtime to be updated. That runtime requires a restart to finish installing. But since it is a piggyback program, the error code telling you do so is hidden in the log file.
If it still does not install let us know.

    Hi Varadharajan,
Can you provide the detailed steps performed to resolve the issue.
Even we have installed MDM 7.1 SP 10 Oracle 11.2.0, But we have 3 SAP instance running on the system:
    1) SRM:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production
    2) CRM:
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bit
    3) MDM:
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production
when the server is restarted the MDM is not able to connect to the Database.
Thanks to provide the exact steps of execution.

  • Setups in Database installation or patch application

    Hi all,
In the database installation or patch application, in the unzipped directories you have multiple
    setup.exe files along with oui.exe.
    For example: in 10g
you have one setup.exe under directory 10gR2_server\database
also you have one setup.exe and one oui.ex under directory 10gR2_server\database\install.
I am wondering what are the differences among those setup.exe and oui.exe. Sometimes we tried the setup.ex in one directory it throw some error and tried another one it works. I am kind of confused.
Thanks a lot for your help,
    Shirley

    Hi Shirley
As far as I know setup.exe is starting the Oracle Universal installer and the oui.exe is called by the setup.exe.
Sometimes your can perform silent install as this:
oui.exe -waitforcompletion -nowait -force -silent -responseFile response_file.rsp
