Hi Experts,
I am a BW Consultant working on Portal & Visual Composer (7.0)
As a Developer i got SAP_ALL & SAP_J2EE_ADMIN roles in BW and System Admin and VC role in Portal.
In Portal Created/Published iviews for BW Queries (Transaction) and Published them to a role (role1) in portal.
In Visual Composer i developed Dashboard reports on BW Queries ,made them public and deployed them to a portal role(role 1) in portal.
I assigned portal role to my self and tested the queries and dashboards in portal everything is working perfectly.
In VC i can see 3 different systems defined in Portal
I created a Test user (with profile of end user) in BW,Testuser is authorised to view all the reports in BW and All data in all data targets and in portal testuser is assigned with Role1 and VC Role.
(Note: In BW Testuser doesn't had J2EE_ADMIN role).
Portal:
When i login to portal as testuser and tries to execute the BW Queries (Transaction) and it working perfectly.
When i tried to execute Dashboard reports developed in Visual Composer it gives me an error
"Failed to connect backend system.Check your system definition and user priviliges"
In Visual Composer i logged in as testuser (as test user got VC role assigned) i can't see any list of avaliable systems under "Find Data"
When i modified testuser profile in BW and updated with SAP_J2EE_ADMIN then i can execute the dashboard report but at the same time testuser got more than what he should have like user admin,system admin...etc
I searched the sdn and find some similar threads ...but nothing was useful
Please update me what went wrong and how to fix this...

I'm experiencing a similar problem.
I have a MacBook Pro Late 2011. I was using Lion (not Mountain Lion) with CS3 with no problems. Recently I installed a new hard drive in my computer and used Time Machine to transfer all my files and settings (still with Lion; I did not try to open any Adobe applications at this point). Then I udpated to Mavericks. Upon trying to open one of the Adobe applications, it told me I needed to reinstall CS3. I inserted the original disc and followed the instructions on the ReadMe file. I went to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers > Add or Remove Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. I did a reinstall, and at the end, it said that some of the components failed to install (see screenshot):
I did a partial install (not all CS3 applications), so there could have been more errors than this if all applications were installed. The applications themselves appear to work fine, but when I try to run the updater, it tells me I have no internet connection.

The CS3 that I purchased (Design Premium) came with Adobe Acrobat 8. I tried to manually install the 8.1.1 update. It said, "Please choose the copy of Adobe Acrobat Professional to update", but the application is grayed out (see below). I did not try to install any other manual updates, yet.
I'm not sure what to do here besides use my CS3 applications the way they are without updating them ever. (I would rather not subscribe to the Creative Cloud.) Any help will be appreciated. I might try doing a complete unintall followed by a fresh install. -

There are really no updates anymore except for camera raw 5.6 (don't remember if there ever were any others) and i don't think the updater ever really worked in early versions of pse such as photoshop elements 6 anyway
(the updater wouldn't work anymore anyhow since adobe allowed it to "expire")

Please advise me on how to proceed....
I created a dashboard reports (5) based on 5 different reports in BI Queries using Visual Composer...I deployed them to portal and in portal i assigned those iviews to a role and assigned that role to a end user.
In BW end user is autorized to execute those 5 queries and in portal user is able to access those queries as well
But when he tried to execute Dashboard reports..it is displaying error
"Failed to connect backend system.Check your system definition and user priviliges"
Then i modified his authorisations in BW assigned SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role in BW and then in portal he is able to execute the Dashboard reports...by assigning the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role he is able to execute dashboards in portal and he got more authorisation in portal than he required like 'Content Admin','User Admin' and 'System Admin'
I tried by using SAP_J2EE_GUEST role but he is getting error
"Failed to connect backend system.Check your system definition and user priviliges"
Please advise on how to proceed

Please check the permissions on your system object. This issues is from Portal itself not BW backend.
System Administration->System Configuration->System landscape->Browse for the System Object that has been used in your VC->right click to open the permissions.
Check for the permission for eu_role/everyone group. These should have alteast "read"permission on the System Object. If this permission is missing add up here.
By default all users fall in "everyoone' group, so I suggest adding 'read' permission to this group itself.

I download .bit file to FPGA and succeed.
When i try to download .mcs file to PROM XCF128X-FTG64C(BPI Flash) and choose Slave SelectMAP Mode

and i find many people have met the same thing. But they are spartan series FPGA and i try to low the Resistances of Mode pins,M0 M1 and M2, but the problem does not been solved.
I have read the status Registers and find there is an over-temperature state
and in Impact i could not readback the registers. It is strange.
I am anxious about this problem and have not solved it yet

It seems that you have selected the correct mode, assuming your jumpers are set as required in the ML605 Hardware User's Guide. See table 1-27, table 1-33 and the note below it about switch S1.
I'm not that familiar with the details of this reference design, but it may be that the slave SelectMap circuitry requires a reset or power cycle to actually configure the FPGA. Have you tried power-cycling to see if the FPGA boots from the flash?
I'd also suggest that you select the V6 in the JTAG chain view, then go to the debug menu of Impact and select Read Device Status (this is from memory, but it's something like that). That will not only show the bits of the configuration status register, but also describe what each bit means. Among other things you can check the state of the FPGA's configuration logic and the Mode pins.

I have an epson xp600 and a mac book pro. Wireless printing is OK if I'm lucky for one time only then a 'failed to connect' message so I have to delete and re add the printer to get it working again (but just once!) then the same occurs. Why?
I am not certain this will fix your problem but I suggest you assign the printer a static IP address.
Using the printer's front panel, select Menu > Network > WLAN > TCP/IP > Boot method, and change it to "static". Provide a static IP address that is on your LAN's subnet.
For example, if you are using an AirPort Extreme, you might give it an IP address of 10.0.1.100. If you are using a Netgear or Linksys router that defaults to issuing 192.168.x.x addresses, you might give it an address of 192.168.1.100. That way, the printer will always "reside at the same address" on your network. If your router has the ability, you should reserve that address so that the router does not attempt to assign it to another DHCP device.
Then, go to System Preferences > Print & Scan, and delete your existing printer with the "–" (minus) button. Add it again, using the "+" (plus) button. In the window that appears, select the IP pane, and from the Protocol menu select "Line Printer Daemon (LPD)". In the Address field type the IP address you gave your printer.
If all goes well the "Pring Using" field will detect the printer at that address and automatically select the appropriate driver. You will see something similar to the following screenshot ("name" can be whatever you decide, and "location" is optional):
Click Add, then you can close System Preferences.
There are other possible reasons your printer is "not responding" which could include wireless interference from competing wireless networks, but try this "static IP" method first. It should mitigate the problem. -

Portal application connecting backend SAP R/3 system
Hi All,
I am developing one portal application through NWDS. It's JSPDYNPage component.The applications functionality is basicaly is to connect it to backend SAP R/3 system & fetch some data in aparticular table & display that data in a tableview format on one JSP& also when i click any row of the tableview then details of that row should get displayed on the next JSP. So i reached till develpoing a code that connnects to Backend SAP R/3.(Basicaly coding of connection part is done). Now i need to test this code, to check whether it is fine or not? NWDS doesnt give nay error, not compile also or not runtime error also. It simply shows the output as a blank page, where it is supposed to display one line of text in textview(i coded this in my JSP).But as i said it displays a blank page. i tried to debug the application , but debugging also not worked.I performed the debugging twice in right way. The code was not debugged, it run the same way as it normally runs when debugging is off & shown the blank page. I also have done all the the settings or prerequisites for debugging properly. I am stuck at this point now.search many documents , but no relevant help has been received. Can anyonehlep me with this. i am putting below the code for JSP, JSPDYNPAGE component as well as portalapp.xml. If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.

I connect my i-pad mini to my wireless router and it says im connected but it wont let me do anything anybody know why ?
You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
