Failed to Display Result error in Compliance Calibrator 5.2

Yes, first of all, we are going to upgrade to 5.3, and then 10, but for now I have this old version.
I ran an ad-hoc report in CC 5.2 as a background job.  The job has completed and there is the icon to view the report.  When I click on it, it shows me the report screen with no data on it, and at the bottom, it says, "Failed to display result".
I'm not sure what the reason is for this.  Have you encountered this error before?
Thanks,
Santosh

Hi Santosh,
It is very likely this is because you haven't maintained properly the Background Job Spool File Location. Check the configuration tab under Miscellaneous. Make sure the path you maintain is writeable by the user running the Java engine. Take notice that paths in Windows and Unix will look quite different:
Windows:
server\path\
Unix
/path/

  • RAR Risk Analysis Issue in Background Mode - "Failed to Display Result"

    Hi,
    I have strange problem in RAR.
    When I run risk analysis for 20 users in background mode, the job got successful but the spool file is empty. But at the bottom of page there is a message:  "Failed to Display Result".
    The Job log is showing the following message couple of times:
    WARNING: ./virsa/bgJobSpool/19.i (No such file or directory)

    But When I try to run for few users (like 6 memebrs where selection criteria is AUDIT*) in same way, the spool details got displayed this time. But the log is showing strange error messages this time:

    Any ideas please?

    Hi Alpesh,
    You are correct. The issue is due to multi node environment.
    But when I tried to define a custom spool folder path: usr/sap/<SID>/<Instance No>/log/virsa/bgJobSpool (in RAR - Miscellaneous - spool files location for background jobs) & run the risk analysis report in background mode, still RAR is saving the spool files in default location only.
    Can you suggest me if I am wrongly defining the location of folder?
    Should we define the complete location of the folder i.e starting with drive letter or path starting with user/* is sufficient?

    Hello,
    We have a problem displaying job logs, the message 'Failed to display result' appears when we try to display the log.
    The jobs have run last week.
    Any idea where I can have a look to find out what's going wrong?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Issue with Compliance Calibrator 5.2 SP9 Background Jobs

    Hello,
    I'm having an issue with Compliance Calibrator 5.2 SP9 where If I run a role analysis as a background job that has the same parameters as a previously run role analysis background job, the second job that is run will display a failure message.  It does not appear to matter if the similar background jobs were run by the same individual or separate individuals.  As long as the job that was previously run is still in the background job history, than any job with the same parameters run by a user will fail.
    Is this normal operation for CC?
    Is there a configuration change that could allow a job to be rerun in the background multiple times?
    Is there a fix for this issue in a later support pack or with upgrade to 5.3?
    Thanks for the help it's much appreciated,

    To better clarify what is occurring, the 1st job will run and complete successfully and return/display the appropriate results correctly.  The 2nd job will than be subsequently kicked off and finish same as with the previous job except when you open the background results no data is displayed and the message at the bottom reads: Failed to display result.  To make more sense of what Iu2019m doing, these are the logical steps Iu2019m following:
    1.  Select Role Level analysis
    2.  Enter parameters for analysis
    3.  Schedule background job to run immediately
    4.  View background job results (successful job and correct results)
    5.  Select Role Level analysis (with same or any other user)
    6.  Enter same parameters as step 2 for analysis
    7.  Schedule background job to run immediately
    8.  View background job results (successful job, but the error message: u2018Failed to display resultu2019, instead of seeing the CC reports)
    I believe the error is somewhere in the running of a job with the same parameters (Same Role and same Report Type).  If I delete the previous jobs from the background history that have the parameters Iu2019m using and try the analysis again, a third time, with the same parameters as before, it will run successfully and display the correct results.
    Is this normal and acceptable operation for CC5.2 SP9?
    Is there a configuration change that would allow a job to be run in the background multiple times with the correct CC results?
    Is there a fix for this issue in a later support pack or with upgrade to 5.3?

  • Updating Compliance Calibrator Rule Set

    The business has decided to change a few rules by removing a couple of custom tcodes from the rule set.  In DEV I go into the Function and remove the objects associated with the tcode and disable the tcode.  After running the rule set update there is still some sort of tie.  I have created a test ID in DEV with a known issue around each of the changes.  I'm not getting a different result when running compliance calibrator.
    Any ideas?
    We are running R/3 4.6C and compliance calibrator 4.0

    We are sorry for the issue being faced by you. I need some information from you so that I take further steps:
    1. Which Adobe product are you using Acrobat or Adobe reader- what is the complete version?
    2. How are you opening and saving the PDF, the exact workflow?
         Are you doing it from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat application or opening it from browser, doing changes and saving it using browser itself.
    3. Can you try to save a PDF to library with Custom template and managed metadata columns using browser directly.
    4. Please verify that columns name do not contain spaces or some other special characters.
       Can you try to save PDF to library with Custom template and just a single managed metadata column  with a simple name

  • Userform controls disappearing in Word 2013/Windows 8.1 with High-Res display - DLL error?

    I have a .dotm file with a large number of modules and userforms. Creating new documents from the template works fine on almost every computer I've tested it on (hundreds), but I've run into a setup that fails consistently.
    Two different Samsung ATIV 9's with a high res display and Windows 8 (64bit)/Office 2013 show the same problem:
    When opening a new document based on the template for the first time, it works fine. If I open the VB editor, everything looks normal, userforms are intact.
    On the second and all consecutive attempts, it throws a "Type Mismatch" error. Opening the VB Editor, I get a compile error on lines of code referencing components of the first userform (alphabetically). Opening that userform, it shows only a blank
    multi-page control, and all the other controls are missing - hence the new compile errors on controls that used to exist. If I remove that userform and save the file, the project compiles, but opening a new document from the template will result in "Word
    has stopped working..."
    I can actually reproduce this behavior starting from scratch - new blank document, save as a .dotm. Create a new userform and add a multipage control. Clicking any control in the toolbox to add it to the form will result in a "Type Mismatch" error,
    even though there's no VBA code. I can then successfully add the control to the form. But, once I save and reopen the template, the multi-page control is blank, and the other controls I put on it disappear.
    I at one point got an error from the VB Editor that it "could not open macro storage" and the included help suggested that might be due to an incorrect version of vbe7.dll.
    The only copy of vbe7.dll I could find was at:
    c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\vfs\ProgramFilesCommonX86\Microsoft Shared\VBA\VBA7.1
    The dll version was 7.1.10.44
    I tried replacing that file with a vbe7.dll file from a working computer (version 7.0.15.89 from c:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\microsoft shared\VBA\VBA7), but that just resulted in the VB editor not loading at all.
    I have tried both a 32bit Click-to-run version of Office 2013, and installing off a CD with 64bit Office 2013, both had exactly the same error.
    The reason I'm wondering if it's a high-DPI display related error is that googling about vbe7.dll errors, I came across this hotfix:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2880496/en-us
    which claims it "Fixes various Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) issues with displays on high-DPI devices."
    Neither the 32bit or 64bit installer for that hotfix would run, they said there was no affected programs installed.
    My reasoning for suspecting a hardware/DLL incompatibility is this:
    1) It's not the template or the VBA code, since those work elsewhere and the same behavior happens with any file with a userform
    2) It's not the Office version, since both 32/64 bit, MSI and Click-to-run didn't work
    3) It's not Windows 8.1, since this same template works fine on other machines
    4) The first time I open the template on the affected machines, it works fine - but the template is shipped compacted and decompiled. After I open it once and then close, Word has compiled the code and corrupted it somehow, because whatever the first userform
    was in the list shows up as blank.
    5) It feels hardware-specific, since out of hundreds of machines, I've only seen this behavior on two of the same laptop model - seems like too much of a coincidence.
    Is there any chance the VBE in Office 2013 is somehow incompatible with this hardware? If that might be the case, does anyone have any idea how I'd go about testing and/or fixing it?
    Any thoughts are much appreciated.

    Hi Chris,
    Try the following.
    Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.
    http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp59501-60000/sp59861.exe
    When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers.  If you see an entry for IDT HD Audio ( or very similar IDT entry ), right click the device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.  If there was no IDT entry, just proceed below.
    When complete, shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
    Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
    Let Windows fully load - it will automatically load an audio driver, but just let this complete.  Then open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation.  When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices.  Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.

  • Custom report on Compliance Calibrator Job scheduler

    Currently in compliance calibrator it is not possible for a user to view the status, success or otherwise, of another users scheduled job or sync unless granting that user full administrator rights.
    Please advise if it's possible to expose the underlying scheduled job table for a given system via a custom built static html web page. Can you advise of the table that results would need to be displayed from and whether there would be any drawbacks of this approach, or if others have somehow solved this problem with another solution, please share?!

  • Compliance Calibrator 5.2 Install Question

    I am at a customer site installing Compliance Calibrator.  We have followed the installation steps as outlined in the CC5_2_Install_700.pdf and everything has been going smoothly.  We have restarted our instance and now we are trying to verify that it has installed properly.  On page 44 of the guide, it says:
    The Virsa Compliance Calibrator banner appears. This verifies that your installation was successful. There is no content below the banner until you:
    - create JCo destinations.
    - assign a role, provisioned to perform all Virsa Compliance Calibrator transactions, to a back‐end user account.
    However, when we go to the URL as described in the guide, we get the netweaver login screen, but when we try to login, it doesn't show us the banner as described above.  Instead it appears that the login has been rejected, though no rejection error message is displayed.
    What step may we have missed?
    Thanks,
    Santosh Krishnan

    Also please check what Language you have set for the user you are logging in with.
    You must have created one user to access Virsa CC. Please check language option. If it is empty, kindly set to English
    This should solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Faisal

  • My server is displaying an error - what setting needs to be changed?

    I have the problem posted below, that apple.com acknowledges, but there is no specific information on how to fix it. My server company does not know which setting needs to be changed. Can anyone help? This happened suddenly, and I did not even change anything about my webpage.
    Some web servers may display an error on a website created in iWeb:
    "Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in [filename].html on line 1."
    The settings on some web servers may cause difficulty parsing the line in a published iWeb document that establishes XML compliance. If you get this error message on your published website, please contact the administrator of your web server.
    This issue does not occur on sites published to .Mac.

  • The attempt to burn a disk failed. An unknown error occurred (4000).

    Whenever I try to burn a CD from iTunes, the burning process starts and continues for about two minutes, cancels automatically and then displays the following statement: "The attempt to burn a disk failed. An unknown error occurred (4000)."
    Several Apple technicians have tried but been unable to assist me. They have pointed me to articles at http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93360 and http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93286 but none of the suggested solutions solve the problem.
    1. I have the most recent version of iTunes (6.0.1).
    2. All of the songs that I am trying to burn are authorized. For example, they include the Complete U2 Collection, which I recently downloaded from the iTunes Music Store.
    3. I am not trying to burn a CD with the same Playlist more than seven times.
    4. My CD burner works perfectly fine using other CD burning software, such as Windows Media Player or Roxio Easy Media Creator. However, these programs are not compatible with any of the many pieces of music that I have purchased and downloaded from the iTunes Music Store.
    My hardware configuration is as follows:
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)
    HP Pavilion 061 PJ467AA-ABA M1180N
    iTunes 6.0.1.3
    CD Driver 2.0.4.3
    CD Driver DLL 2.0.3.2
    LowerFilters: PxHelp20 (2.0.0.0), drvmcdb (1.0.0.1), Iviaspi (1.0.0.0), Pfc (2.5.0.204), Cdr4_xp (7.5.0.47),
    UpperFilters: GEARAspiWDM (2.0.4.3), Cdralw2k (7.5.0.47), pwd_2k (7.5.0.47),
    Video Driver: RADEON X300 Series\RADEON X300 Series
    Found aspi32 running.
    Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can restore my ability to burn CDs from iTunes? Thank you very much!

    I am having the same problem. I get an error 4450 - unknown. I have purchased several songs but it appears I will not be able to burn them to CD.

  • Processing data for a remote command failed with the following error message: Error occurred during the Kerberos reponse.

    Hi!
    We have 5 Exchange 2013 servers and when I’m trying to run a script that includes the cmd-let Get-MessageTrackinglog with StartDate = the first of the month and with EndDate = the end of the month I get the following error message after
    a couple of hours. The script is run on the server SERVER01 and goes through the Message Tracking logs of all Exchange servers. I have tried the script on other servers and get the same result.

    Hi Henado
    Check the time on your Exchange server(s) relative to the DCs and ensure they are in correct sync
    Use another account which is assigned the Organization Management permission and log to to the server run the command in shell and see the results
    Run
    Add-PSSnapin -Name Microsoft.Exchange.Management.PowerShell.E2010
    Set-Adserversettings -ViewEntireForest $True and then run message tracking command and see the results
    If none of the above helps you may need to remove and re-install the WinRM and see the results
    Good Luck :)

  • Trying to display an error message on my JSF page

    Hi,
    I'm very new to JSF and hopefully this will be easy to answer. I'm trying to display an error message when a user fails to login correctly. I have this on my login page:
    <h:message for="userid" id="inputError"></h:message>
    and in the login bean that handles the login, I invoke this method when the login fails, passing in the appropriate error string
         private void setError(String error) {
              FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
              FacesMessage fm = new FacesMessage();
              fm.setSeverity(FacesMessage.SEVERITY_ERROR);
              fm.setSummary(error);
              fm.setDetail("ERROR: " + error);
              ctx.addMessage("userid", fm);
    But the error is not displaying upon a failed login and so I'm wondering if there is something more I need to do. Your help is appreciated, - Dave

    To get the "real" client id use
    ctx.addMessage(myComponent.getClientId(ctx), fm);and bind the userid input text to your backbean
    view code:
    <input binding="#{bean.myComponent}" ...backbean code:
    private UIInput myComponent;
    // getter/setter
    public UIInput getMyComponent() { return this.myComponent; }
    public void setMyComponent(UIInput myComponent) {
        this.myComponent = myComponent;
    }I hope this helps...
