  • Fatal Error: Failed to load library 'pdh.dll.'

When I double click on the Skype icon, a dialogue box pops up. It says "Fatal Error" at the top, and inside, it says, "Failed to load library 'pdh.dll.'" I cannot get Skype to open at all.
I had used Skype with no problems the day before, and I didn't do anything to any files or anything. I don't think.
I have restarted my computer, un-installed and reinstalled Skype, and went into %appdata% and renamed the Skype folder, tried to open Skype, then renamed the folder back again. None of this worked.
I ran a Malware scan and it came back clean. I am currently running a virus scan.
    Can anyone help me?

Hi I did a little digging and came up with something that got it fixed. Here goes:
    1. Temporarily shut down my anti virus software..
    2. Open the control panel and go to the add/delete programs going to the uninstall section.
    3. Remove all Apple products in the following order:
ITunes, QuickTime, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, & Apple Application Support.
You do not need to remove safari.
    4. Restart the computer.
    5. Go to Apple.com and download latest version of oTunes.
    6. Re-install.
This worked for me. No more error mags and all is working again.

Dxva2.dll is a DirectX system file.  If you are receiving that error it is because this operating system file is missing or damaged.  While copying the file from another source can work, it's best to use system file checker (sfc /scannow) in a command prompt box (Start - Run - cmd) to ensure the proper version is restored.  This will allow your OS to repair damaged or missing Windows operating system files (like dxva2.dll).  Be aware in Windows XP you will either need your Windows XP installation media or a local copy of the i386 folder (originating from the install disc) in order to successfully run system file checker.

    Suggestions?

Please,  run the DirectX diagnostics tool (32-bit version).
Go to Windows Start and in the Run box type dxdiag.exe and press the OK button. This will start the DirectX diagnostics program. Run this diagnostics and save the results to a file. Please, attach this file to your post.

  • URGENT HELP NEEDED 'Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL'

My Adobe Reader was working fine until I needed to open a PDF the other day to which I received this message 'Acrobat failed to load its Core DLL'. I had a problem with it in the past with an error code ending in '142' but I managed to solve this myself. Now this has appeared and I'm stumped. I am currently running windows 8.1 and have the most up-to-date Adobe Reader XI.
I haven't changed anything to my computer for it to interrupt the program. I have read the forums on here and elsewhere. I have:
    Un-installed and re-installed the program
Repaired the program through the control panel
I have run the TDSSKiller from Kaspersky which didn't find anything
I have previously run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware software including the 'rootkit' option. Unfortunately I fell asleep and so did my computer so I lost everything from the scan (it takes hours for this scan) so I am currently running it today.
I've conducted other advice that people have suggested on previous forums/discussions but it still hasn't been fixed
If there is anything I could try then could someone please help me as this is very urgent!
Thank you so much in advance for any comments or suggestions.

Thank you for your reply but I have done everything on that page yet it still does not work :/
    Laura,
In that case the only way is to uninstall the reader completely from the system and then to reinstall it.  The process is to use the Adobe cleaner and this is a free tool from Adobe downloadable from this link:
<Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs>
Download the tool and save it on your desktop or in a temporary folder.  then right-click on it and extract the files.  After extracting the files, run the file called: "AdbeArCleaner_v2.exe".  Then follow the simple instructions given on the screen.
After the uninstall is completed, you need to restart the machine before you can install the reader again.
Hope this helps but please post back if this didn't work so that further help can be given.

  • Since loading the latest version of firefox i can no longer print. instead a message comes up "can not load library 'DLBAPRP.DLL' using defaults, error 126. what happened?

error 126 can not load library "DLBAPRP.DLL" using defaults. this message appears when we try to print from our web bookmarks or any acrobat or pdf files

That error seems to be new with Firefox 4 - never heard of it with earlier versions of Firefox, but it goes back many years in various Windows programs.

  • Flash Builder 4.5 Plugin Error: Failed to load library.swf

    Hi,
I am getting an error from Flash Builder that is stopping me building my app. I am running the plugin version under Springsource ToolSuite 2.6.1. It worked fine with the Prerelease version of Flash Builder 4.5.
I have flexunit-uilistener-4.1.0-8-4.1.0.16076.swc in the directory along with the other FlexUnit swc files (which do not throw errors).
    Any suggestions ?

I did a workaround by adding this compiler argument:
    ${flexlib}/libs/automation/automation_agent.swc
...which points to that file in Flex 4.5. I can now build the app.
Why do I need to do this now when I didn't need to do so before ?

Do you set up ADM? If yes:
There is a "Siebel Deployment Planning Guide" which also mentions to copy siebelmgr.jar, admstatussvc.jar, Siebel.jar, SiebelJI_xxx.jar into /jar and then to set the classpath parameter accordingly. See chapter "Configuring the Siebel Server for ADM". I can't see these files in your classpath.

  • "Failed to load the CTDFMRES.DLL" Help, please!

    Hello,
I asked how to fix the following error that occurs when trying to add artwork:
    Failed to load the CTDMFRES.DLL
Check that CTDMFRES.DLL is in the directory.
Some information provided/gained while working with b noir to diagnose the problem:
As far as I know, there are no third-party plug-ins for connecting to gadgets such as a MuVo or Creative Zen.
The error persists in iTunes Safe Mode.
The error persists if I add a new user account.
Screenshots below to demonstrate how error occurs:
Thank you for your attention and help.

Okay ... perhaps let's check first to see if you can do the artwork add if you open iTunes in Safe mode. For instructions see:
