Failed to load workbook from BusinessObjects Enterprise

Hi all,
I created a Live Office document on top of WebI report and exported it to CMS and in Xcelsius when I try to import this LO document it gives a message "Failed to load workbook from BusinessObjects Enterprise".
My BO version is XI 3.1, Live Office : 3.1, Xcelsius version is SP3.
Any suggestions ?
Regards,
Mahesh

Hi Vinay
I tried your suggestion to load the Live Office data using the path Data > Import from Platform.  After selecting the Live Office file from BOE, the Live Office data don't seem to be loading into Xcelsius, in other words the Xcelsius hangs.  I'm currently using BOE 3.1 SP3 and my Xcelsius 2008 Enterprise and Live Office are also on SP3.
Is there anything I need to do to make it work eg. is there any FP to apply to fix this issue?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Anthony

  • Data load failed while loading data from one DSO to another DSO..

    Hi,
    On SID generation data load failed while loading data  from Source DSO to Target DSO.
    Following are the error which is occuuring--
    Value "External Ref # 2421-0625511EXP  " (HEX 450078007400650072006E0061006C0020005200650066
    Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT, InfoObject 0BBP
    So, i'm  not getting  WHY in one DSO i.e Source  it got successful but in another DSO i.e. Target its got failed??
    While analyzing all i check that SIDs Generation upon Activation is ckecked in source DSO but not in Target DSO..so it is reason its got failed??
    Please explain..
    Thanks,
    Sneha

    Hi,
    I hope your data flow has been designed in such a way where the 1st DSO as a staging Device and all transformation rules and routine are maintained in between 1st to 2nd dso and sid generation upon activation maintained in 2nd DSO.  By doing so you will be getting your data 1st DSO same as your source system data since you are not doing any transformation rules and routine etc.. which helps to avoid data load failure.
    Please analyze the following
    Have you loaded masterdata before transaction data ... if no please do it first
    go to the property of first dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (it may not be maintained I guess)
    Goto the property of 2nd Dso and check whether there maintained sid generation up on activation (It may be maintained I hope)
    this may be the reason.
    Also check whether there is any special char involvement in your transaction data (even lower case letter)
    Regards
    BVR

    This is exactly what i have done and the error message went away.
    But at boot still hangs.

    The report could not be opned from BusinessObjects Enterprise.
    Possibly the report is on a different BusinessObjects Enterprise system that the one you are currently logged on to. If this problem persists, pelase contact your administrator.
    I am at a different location. All I am trying is to access the report using crystal reports 11.
    The port issue was solved. I can login to the server and see the list of all the reports, but when I started clicking each report, I am getting the above error.
    Let me know if there is any soultion to this.

    initially the port number 1725 (i mean the default crystal report port number) was blocked. so i was getting the error
    "transport error: communication failture"
    but after they opened it up I was able to login to the report folders, but couldnt go foward beyond that.
    so you are saying, they will have to open up more ports?
    Thanks,

  • Can Connect but Not Open Reports from BusinessObjects Enterprise

    I have a new installation of Crystal 2008.  I can logon to the Respository Explorer, but when I try to access a report, I receive the folllowing message:
    ================================================================
    The report could not be opened from BusinessObjects Enterprise.
    Possibly the report is on a different BusinessObjects Enterprise system than the one you are currently logged onto.  If this problem persists, please contact your admistrator.
    ================================================================
    The server administrator has tried his profile and gets the same message
    I installed CR2008 on a different PC and can access without problems
    I had Crystal XIR2 installed and uninstalled it prior to CR2008
    I also had Crystal Beta for VS2020 that I uniinstalled prior to installing CR2008.
    I've tried suspending my virus protection and firewall
    It doesn't seem to be a secuity issue, but something is blocking access.  I assumed the problem would go away after uninstalling the other versions of crystal and running a registry cleaner, but I still have the same problem.
    Any Suggestions??

    Hi,
    One of the probable causes of this error message is when the Input File Repository Server (FRS) is stopped, disabled, or is not accessible over the network.
    In addition to what Philip has recommended, i would suggest you to first verify if your IFRS server is started and enabled. Also, kindly perform the port binding for the IFRS server by:
    1. Login to CMC with an Administrator account.
    2. Navigate to Servers >> Input File Repository Server >> Properties
    3. Check the Request Port button and assign a port number.
    4. Also assign the IP Address of the Server in IP Address radio button.
    5. Restart the server and test the issue.
    I hope it works for you.

    Hi Royston,
    The instance that we are accessing is: https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com.
    I assume that it's a test environment. So I navigated to (https://ebusiness.siebel.com/odcustomercare/support/alerts/staging/index.asp) "Staging & Test Environments" -> "Planned Maintenance - Staging" (since there is no Testing link) and saw a calendar of downtimes which didn't quite match-up to the date when we encountered the error. We encountered the error on November 25, which was marked on the calendar as a planned 8-hour downtime. During that day we didn't encounter continuous downtime but just erratic spurs of the the error. Am I looking in the right place? Thanks

  • Migration from BusinessObjects Enterprise 6.x to SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1

    hi,
    I am in a migration from 6.5 to XI 3.1. I have a question about it, when you do the migration with import wizard, first you have to have installed XI 3.1.
    I was thinking that you could export the .BIAR file with Import Wizard connected to 6.5 and the next step could be import to XI 3.1.
    I tell you that because I tried the migration. In the source I put the BusinessObjects Enterprise 6.x and in the destination environment the wizard asked me only for a BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1.
    Regards,

  • Aperture fails to load images from CF card, now not able to open

    I have a new Canon 5D Mark III camera and was sold a  Lexar SD Professional 32 GB card and a Lexar Professional UDMA 7 Compact Flash 32 GB card.  Downloading the images from the camera is a problem.  I am using  a Mac Book Pro 15" with operating system OSX 10.6.8.   Aperture is on a Lacie external hard drive and now fails to open.  Yesterday, a message saying 'unreadable files' would show and a few images would be saved to Aperture.  Also, later, an 'unrecognizable format' message would appear. Before it stopped working, it would download one or two selected images but not a large number of images.
    Any solutions?  Any comments would be appreciated.  Thank you!

    Thanks Ernie!  The images would not load from the camera with the USB camera supplied cable.  Yes, the MBP has slot for the SD card and it downloads the images.
    The Aperture library is on the LaCie external HD.  Don't know if the drive is formatted as OS X extended.
    After posting the entry, I went to the local Staples store and purchased a Verbatium card reader and lo and behold, the world is fine.  The Aperture has returned and I was able to download all the CF card images.  The card reader would not read the SD card despite having it listed as one of the cards it's able to read.  Don't know what's happening here but at least I can use the MBP slot.
    To me, it's strange!  It was all looking quite grim!  Thank you for your assistance!

  • ImageIcon fails to load image from known source

    Hello,
    I have tried multiple ways to use ImageIcon to place an image within a JFrame.
    I have tried to place directly on the JFrame using drawImage and within a JLabel.
    I have tried multiple sources such as fully qualified regular files to the root and filenames relative to the current project. I have also tried using URLs.
    I am executing this project from Eclipse and have used both Windows and the Mac.
    My debugging code tells me the load of the image is not successful.
    Thank you for your help with this problem.

              setContentPane(iconLabel);

    Thanks for the advice on SSCCE. This cracked the case for me and will be useful in the future.
    One observation I gained from testing is that even regular files seem to need to go through the URL process for the image load to be successful.
    This may or may not be useful but the following code caused the image load to fail. I tried commenting out the code line by line from the bottom up but the mere presence of the definition caused failure of the image load.
            public void paint(Graphics g) {
                  int iwidth = image.getWidth(null);
                  int frmidd = (il + frwidth - iwidth) / 2;
                  g.drawImage(image, frmidd , (it + 30), null);
                  g.drawRect(75, 175, 210, 230);
             }

  • SSIS fails to load files from network when executed via SQL server Agent (SQL server 2008 R2 SP 2)

    Hi All,
    I have a simple SSIS package that reads a flat file and copies it into a SQL Server table.
    When the flat fiel is on the C drive I have no problem runnign this package from SQL Server Agent, but as soon as I update the path to a network location the package only works when I run it manually, but fails when is executed via the SQL Server agent job.
    The error says "cannot open the datafile", while the datafile location is valid.
    Is this a kind of limitation of a SQL Server Agent that only local files are allowed to be processed?
    Thanks,
