Failed to log accounting packet to any logging destination

Does anybody knows the explanation of the expresion: "failed to log accounting packet to any logging destination"
Any reference to documentation, internet links, etc. helpful to understand if i have a problem or not would be very grateful.
(I have running acs 4.1 in a windows server)
Thanks

Sounds like the CSLog service is broken or you're using remote logging and it couldn't reach any of the remote servers.
CSLog has a number of plug-in "targets" eg CSV, remote agent, ODBC etc. If it doesnt achieve at least one success it will generate the error you are seeing.
In short your log data is going into a black hole never to be seen again.

This event is generated when a logon request fails. It is generated on the computer where access was attempted.
The Subject fields indicate the account on the local system which requested the logon. This is most commonly a service such as the Server service, or a local process such as Winlogon.exe or Services.exe.
The Logon Type field indicates the kind of logon that was requested. The most common types are 2 (interactive) and 3 (network).
The Process Information fields indicate which account and process on the system requested the logon.
The Network Information fields indicate where a remote logon request originated. Workstation name is not always available and may be left blank in some cases.
The authentication information fields provide detailed information about this specific logon request.
    - Transited services indicate which intermediate services have participated in this logon request.
    - Package name indicates which sub-protocol was used among the NTLM protocols.
    - Key length indicates the length of the generated session key. This will be 0 if no session key was requested.

Well I opened the case for him and he never followed up with Microsoft :-(
It's a kerberos issue, we're told to ignore it.  Would you be willing to be patient and stubborn and work with CSS to at least understand what's going on better?  I can tell you it's normal with Essentials but not the exact technical reason it's
    happening.
Unfortunately TechNet isn't coming back, sorry folks :-(

    Hi,
According to the error message and its sub status, it seems like that user name is correct but the password is wrong.
I would like to suggest you reset the account password and re-enter it for all those services that run under the account.

  • How do I prevent "The user profile service service failed the log on" error messages?

I work for an organization with approximately 60 staff members across ~80 Windows 7 Professional PCs. Users log in with Active Directory accounts.
Approximately once per month, a random user will get an error message while attempting to log into their machine that says "The user profile service service failed the log on."  The solution to resolve this issue is here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215?ppud=4&wa=wsignin1.0.
The problem is that I want to PREVENT this issue from happening, as it is incredibly inconvenient for the user. I had one staff member board a 5-hour plane trip expecting to do work, and once she got in the air she logged in and
received the error message and was unable to use her computer for the trip. I've had others locked out of their computer with deadlines to get things done, while I am at home off the clock. Editing the registry is not an easy fix, and so it's not something
I can just post instructions for in a knowledgebase article.
Does anyone know how to prevent this issue from occurring? I believe that it has something to do with a network-based startup script, or a service trying to connect to our file server, or the computer trying to connect to our ad server. All of these
are blocked by firewalls (unless the user is off-site), and I suspect that the services may be timing out, causing the user profile service service failed the logon error message, but I can't seem to eliminate it, after nearly a year of trying.
90% of the time this problem occurs when the user is off-site, but it has happened while the user is in the office too. Once the user gets this error message, the only way to resolve the problem is to log into their computer as a localadministrator account
and perform the method #1 fix in the knowledgebase article.
    Thanks

Have you checked the logged files in event viewer around the time when problem occurred?
Is there any suspicious events like error or warning related to this issue.

  • The user profile service: Service failed the log on. User profile can not be loaded.

I am running a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain. with 2 domain controllers.
Every new account created in active directory does not seem to work. Even if the account it copied from one that does still work, it still gives the same error when logging in on a network computer (windows 7). "The user profile service: Service failed

I have looked at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947215, which unfortunately does not help. Especially since the SID is not there because the user has not managed to log on yet.

  • G5 fails to log into network

this has happened a few times now and is getting a little more freguent.
When i boot up, i log into my wireless network. All the computers are configured to join the network automatically.
However, for a reason i can't seem to find, from time to time my G5 fails to log into the network. if i click on the airport menu icon (which shows no bars/waves - just grey) i can see the network. if i now try to join the network, it asks for the password. the correct password is given, but i am rejected from the network.
if i then log out and back in, the G5 joins no problem. i have now just taken to logging out and back in.
    any ideas?

No ideas, but confirmation that it happens when I cold boot or wake the G5 from a long sleep. Otherwise, it joins the preferred network automatically at login, as it's supposed to.

  • Satellite L450 - The user profile service failed the log on

    Hi
I have a Toshiba Satellite L450 and I have had it for a while now and this has never happened before, when I turn it on it goes through the usual and then comes up with my name and a box for me to type my password, as normal. But when I put my password in it says:
The user profile service failed the log on
    User profile cannot be loaded
The only option I have is to log off and when I do it takes me back to the password bit. If I put the password in wrong it tells me its wrong.....
Cant do anything with it, I have tried shutting down, etc....looked through the manual and cant see anything about it in there either.......... :(

    Hi mate

  • Unknown User in "Failed Attempts" Log

The "Failed Attempts" log on the ACS 4.1 began showing entries that I do not understand. The backend is Active Directory.
Basically, the entry it is in this format:
date, time, authen failed,foreigndomain\user,localadmingroupname,callerid,External DB user invalid or bad password,... etc.
This is what I don't understand: It appears that the "foreigndomain\user" entry must be a foreign device that is trying to authenticate to our wireless environment (PEAP). But why is it showing the group name as our ACS administrators group!? Shouldn't it see the "foreigndomain\user" as another group like "Default Group"? I have the "\Default" group mapping set to "Default Group".
    Thank you.

we have a similar thing occur when a group mapping cannot be found, it logs the failed attempt against the first group in ACS.
Is "group 1" named "ACS administrators"?
I don't think it means much as I assume group mapping only occurs if an authentication attempt is successful?? It seems there is bug in that ACS needs to put something in the log entry for group and so uses the first group name rather than N/A, blank, or something to that effect.

    Hi,
    You could try the following.
Shut down the notebook.  Tap away at f8 as you start the notebook to enter Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and hit enter.  If windows will load in this mode, from the Start Menu, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools and launch System Restore.  Pick a restore point at least 24 hours before the log-on issue and then proceed with the restore process.  When complete, Windows will reboot as normal so check if you can now log in correctly.
Another option if the above does not help is as follows.
Shut down the notebook.  Tap away at f8 as you start the notebook to enter Windows Recovery Console.  Use the arrow keys to select 'Start Using Last Known Good Configuration' and hit enter.

There is definitely more amusing endeavours in this world, than trying to understand why an SQL Server install failed. The log files are verbose - but somehow the real information about what went wrong seems to be hiding. Never have proverb about not being

So where is my guess: the MSI installer - which runs as a service, somehow does not have permissions to read the installation from the share. Or is trying to log on to the share with your username/password? No, I don't know, I am just speculating widely.
But my advice would be to copy the installation directory from the share to a local disk.
Maybe that CryptAcquireContext is significant as well - I don't know.
Oh, wait, here is something just before the section above in the log:
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2205 2:  3: Environment
    MSI (s) (F4:EC) [09:04:15:729]: Note: 1: 2228 2:  3: Environment 4: SELECT `Name`,`Value` FROM `Environment`,`Component` WHERE `Component_`=`Component` AND (`Component`.`Action` = 1 OR `Component`.`Action` = 2)
    Action start 9:04:15: WriteEnvironmentStrings.
2205 is "The logon processor did not add the message alias." I see that in a successful log that I have, so that is probably benign. But 2228 seems to be
"There are too many names in the user accounts database."
Exactly what that means, I have no clue, but it could be a Windows problem.

I am able to receive messages on my IMac using Outlook but am unable to send.  I've had no trouble in the past but began receiving the following messages today.
5.7.8 Bad username or password (Authentication failed).
Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods.
I am able to send messages using this account on my IPhone and IPad so the IMac is the only place I am having issues.  Any advice?

Here are the correct settings. They have never changed since iCloud debuted a year ago.
    Server information
    IMAP (Incoming Mail Server) information:
    Server name: imap.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
    Port: 993
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    Password: Your iCloud password
    SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:
    Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
    SSL Required: Yes
    Port: 587
    SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
Username: [email protected] (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
    Password: Your iCloud password
Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead. SSL is required for both IMAP and SMTP connection with iCloud. POP is not supported by iCloud.

  • Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods.

When attempting to check and send email from my Mac via iCloud, I keep getting the error "Authentication failed because Outlook doesn't support any of the available authentication methods." I have change just about everything I can see available, but continue to get this message.
I am able to send email via iCloud using my .Me and .Mac adresses, and that tells me that it is not able to store "sent emails" on iCluud and will store them loaclly on my computer. I can handle this, but whem going to iCloud Web page haave nothing withing the "sent" mailbox.
Using OS 10.7.2, and Outlook 2011 version 14.1.3
    Thanks in advance......

  • Wrong Accounting Packet Counter !

    Hi,
In our DSL Service provider, We use Cisco Routers as a BRAS for years.
recently I have noticed about an strength problem with accounting packets That I'm recieving from BRAS!
right now our AAA configuration for PPPOE is something like this:
1- when a User establishes his PPPOE session, BRAS send an accounting-start packet for that user.
2- every 5 minutes , BRAS sends an accounting-update (Interim-update) for that session.
3- when user terminates his PPPOE session , BRAS finaly sends accouting-stop packet.
In Normal situation , it works like a charm , but I have found that when a user's session terminates in 1 or 2 minutes (before receiving first Interim update), BRAS send a high number for Acct-Output-Octets and Acct-Input-Octets, that practically it's Impossible for a user to have a such traffic in less than 1 or 2 minutes.
most important thing is that , It's not happening all time !!!
Does anybody has any Idea about this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

PO was created with 3 line items with each line item having freight condition type FRB2 - Freight value
For first line item  it is Rs.200 for 1,008 quantity
For Second line item it is Rs.300 for 7,200 quantity
For Third line item it is Rs.300 for 2,604 quantity
GR was done for 3rd line item for the entire PO quantity 2604, but the frieght value is flowing only Rs. 156.24
    1) Material is valuated at Standard Price.
    It is Valuated at MAP
2)Condition type- FRB2- Rs 300 is entered at the Header Level and it is marked as a Group condition because of which it got apportioned to all the line items in the Purchase Order.
It is entered line itemwise with Rs.300 to the third particular line item and there is wrong flow of freight value for other line items too in GR.
Is Freight Condition type is a header condition and also check is it a group condition ( in t.code: M/06)
It is a header condition but not group condition and the values for frieght were given line item wise.
    Need help to resolve this.
