Failed to login console

Hello,
It's failed to login console with ACSAdmin account. The ACSAdmin is able to login in GUI.
No idea about the reason. Anything configuration is not correct in my ACS 5.2?
Thanks,
-Alejin

Hello Alejin,
there are two types of admin users for ACS. One for the appliance and one for the application (GUI). and there idependent of each other.
if you lost the appliance admin password, you might try this.

  • Cannot open database "ReportServer" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'USER LOGON'

I want to grant permissions to all domain users to view reports on our Report Server. Domain users are able to access our Report Server URL and folder, but when they click on a report item they get an error message:
"Cannot open database "ReportServer" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'USER LOGON'"
I'm using windows authentication and configured the local service account in SSReportS Config Manager as the credentials to connect to the Report Server DB.
Can someone please help how I should properly do this step by step to give all domain users permissions to view a report in SSRS?
    Thanks much! - Rookie DBA

    Hi IWAR,
The error message "Cannot open database "ReportServer" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'USER LOGON'" means the user 'USER LOGON' does not have permissions to access the "ReportServer" database.
To fix this issue, please verify that the user has a valid database user login. For more details, please refer to the following steps.
In SQL Server Management Studio, open Object Explorer and expand the Databases folder.
Expand the database in which to create the new database user.
Right-click the Security folder, point to New, and then click User.
On the General page, enter a name for the new user in the User name box.
In the Login name box, enter the name of a SQL Server login to map to the database user.
    Click OK.

  • [Solved] [Xorg+KMS+Intel] Can't see login console / boot messages!

    Hi,
My problem is that using an Intel video card (with KMS) after latest Xorg 1.8 update, I can't see boot messagges and the login console anymore.
I've just noticed that after last Xorg update I can't access anymore to runlevel 3 on boot.
I've got an Intel video card so KMS is enabled by default (and mandatory).
I always used SLiM as a display manager, configured through /etc/inittab to go to runlevel 5 on boot:
    # /etc/inittab
    # Runlevels:
    # 0 Halt
    # 1(S) Single-user
    # 2 Not used
    # 3 Multi-user
    # 4 Not used
    # 5 X11
    # 6 Reboot
    ## Only one of the following two lines can be uncommented!
    # Boot to console
    #id:3:initdefault:
    # Boot to X11
    id:5:initdefault:
    rc::sysinit:/etc/rc.sysinit
    rs:S1:wait:/etc/rc.single
    rm:2345:wait:/etc/rc.multi
    rh:06:wait:/etc/rc.shutdown
    su:S:wait:/sbin/sulogin -p
    # -8 options fixes umlauts problem on login

    c2:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty -8 38400 tty2 linux
    c3:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty -8 38400 tty3 linux
    c4:2345:respawn:/sbin/agetty -8 38400 tty4 linux

    #x:5:respawn:/usr/bin/kdm -nodaemon
    x:5:respawn:/usr/bin/slim >& /dev/null
To enable runlevel 3 at boot,  I commented the id:5:initdefault: and the x:5:respawn:/usr/bin/slim >& /dev/null lines and uncommented id:3:initdefault:.
Now, during boot, the last thing I see is Loading UDev modules..., then the screen becomes dark gray and I can't see any other boot messages (actually this appened also before, after xorg update).
The problem is that before slim started but now I can't see any login console.
I also figured out that typing my username, password and then startx, starts X normally, so the problem is just that I can't see the tty console anymore.
Once I am in X I can switch to ttys normally.
    What can I do?
I just wanted to get rid of slim and start X automatically after console login but I can't see the console login!
I hope to have been clear enough, thanks for your help!

Any hint is more than welcomed.
After a few reboots, I can confirm this workaround seems to work.
This is weird indeed as I don't have any SVIDEO-1 interface listed by xrandr -q, but still.

  • Deploy CR 10 from VS 2005 C#  fails to login on 2nd try

    Hi,
I'm new to CR and .NET in general, but I've got a working app on my development m/c.  I built a setup project in .NET and deployed the app to our test lab.
From there I was able to generate a report on my first request, but when I returned to the dialog that I use to collect parms and select the report I need I fail to login the CR (Oracle).
To be clear, my app builds 4 different reports, from my m/c I ran successful display as many copies of those reports as I have tried.  But, on the test lab m/c I can request any (1)one of the 4 reports, but as soon as I request a 2nd one the app fails with the Login failed message.
I've already included the CrystalReportsRedist2005_x85.msm merge module.
Anyone have any ideas about how to solve this problems
    thanks.
    Danny
For anyone dealing with connection problems and may be interested in how I've resolved my connection problems:
It turns out that the problem wasn't in CR10 or the setup project.  It was with the ODBC connection to Oracle9i. My m/c has a later version of Oracle9i then the version on the m/c in the test lab (9.2.0.5.0 vs 9.2.01.0)
The the temp fix is to revise the SQLNET.ORA file.  Eventually we will need to install Oracle patches to correct for the ORA-12154 TNS could not be resolved error.  This is going to be necessary for all client m/c's before going live.
Good luck to anyone dealing with similar issues.
    Danny

    Hi!
I am having the same issue in Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.0.
I resolved it by increasing the memory in the setDomainEnv.sh
    MEM_ARGS="-Xms1G -Xmx1G"
    export MEM_ARGS
    MEM_PERM_SIZE="-XX:PermSize=384m"
    export MEM_PERM_SIZE
    MEM_MAX_PERM_SIZE="-XX:MaxPermSize=384m"
    export MEM_MAX_PERM_SIZE
Anyway I don't know why this resolved it and why the exception is not a memory error. I have tested version 10.3.2 and it doesn't report this errors with the same memory assigned.

  • The User Profile Service service failed to Login user Profile error in Windows 7 Home Premium

    Hi,
I recently purchased a new Dell Inspirion 1564 Laptop which had Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed.
The hardware configuration is i5 core Processor, 4GB Ram , 320GB HDD and 512MB Graphics card.
Today morning, I couldn't login as the system returned the following error after I entered the password.
"The User Profile Service service failed to login.
    User Profile cannot be loaded"
I couldn't login at all as i had not created any other user account, even the face recognition didn't work.
I had to restore my pc to the previous state. I believe this happened after the installation of Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool x64 - March 2010 (KB890830) update, not immeditately though as i used the system few times after the installation of this update.
Is this a bug? I cant imagine if this happens if I am about to give a presentation, its going to be disastrous!
    Any help is appreciated
    Avinash

I'm getting the same issue - I'm the IT Manager at a school where every student has a laptop (fujitsu tablet T4410). This occurs to at least one new student every day. I have been unable to re-create the issue on demand, although I suspect it occurs when a temporary user profile gets created after the logon process takes too long (due to some disk activity, possibly related to windows updates or some thing). When we were creating student accounts on the machines, this would occur if we attempted to log in the newly created account before the computer had 'settled down' - it seems that there is a logon timeout, after which something stops working. If the new user's first logon happened too soon after booting, the profile would be corrupted. But this doesn't quite explain why it occurs seemingly randomly now.
My current solution is to boot into safe mode, back up the user's files, delete the account, create it again (the other suggested solutions on the internet did not work)
If you're desperate, you can log in while in safe mode, and use that to create a new account.
In any case, this is proving a very bad experience of Windows 7 for my students, and I hope to see a more useful fix for this soon.

  • New notebook~ "Fails to login"

We received our new Acer Notebook on Friday. We had no problems setting it up and getting online. It worked up until yesterday afternoon. When we try you login we get the following message: "The User Profile service failed to login. User profile cannot be loaded." Not sure what we are suppose to do and the user manual is very brief. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I've seen this before on other computers. Reboot your computer, and Press F8 as soon as the BIOS screen goes away. Select Safe Mode and let it load. On the user select screen log into the Administrator profile. It should log into windows unless the administrator profile is corrupt. But after you log into the profile, click yes on the box that pops up talking about system recovery. It will take you into the desktop from there. Go ahead and close the Help and support window that pops up.
From the desktop go into the start menu and select the control panel then into user acounts. select the account name you are having a problem with and delete it. After that, click on create new account. Once complete reboot the machine and try to log in normally.
Let us know if this helps.

  • Slim fails to login...how to get command line back?

Man, what a drag.  I (seemingly) successfully installed Arch with xfce, which is a huge accomplishment for a guy coming from years of Ubuntu, and avoiding command line and config files every chance he gets.
Anyway, I'm using slim as a display manager, and it fails to login (I am choosing the xfce session).  I can't seem to get to a command line so that I can try a different display manager.  Google says that Ctrl-Alt-F1 should do the trick, but that just gives me a black screen and sits there.  Any help?
    Thanks.

  • Failing to login

I left my MacBook Pro on at night like every night. This morning I failed to login as it just stays on the blue screen forever. I forced reboot with the power button and it kept getting me back to the login screen a minute after every time I enter my password.
I forced restart with the power button and it no more gets me to the login screen.
I started my MBP in safe mode and the result is it became horribly slow after logging in and after more than half an hour the lower dock didnt show up yet. Opening a document on my desktop or going to the upper bar shows the beach ball forever then it just disappears!!! Seems to me like the memory is not there.
Surprisingly in BootCamp Windows 7 works without problems!!!

  • Failed file login for admin

In the app server log file, this keeps coming up. When I went to run my app in creator2, it prompted me the first time for the admin username and password, which I used the admin adminadmin values. The web app came up in a browser window and seems to be working fine... but the log file keeps getting this message
    Failed file login for admin
    Failed file login for admin
    Failed file login for admin
Question, what is causing this and how can I stop it?
Question, how can I change the admin username and password?
    Thanks in advance
    Dean-O

You can try reseting the appserver.
You can find a "utility/script/commandfile" in
    C:\Program Files\Sun\Creator2_1\bin
    C:\Program\Sun\Creator2_1\bin
pe-start.bat -reset (there is a tiny dot in the filename here) for windows
pe-start.sh -reset (there is a tiny dot in the filename here) for linux/unix
!!!! If you have made any changes to the configuration files, make sure you make copies of the files, they will be lost. !!!!
so that you can pull out the information from the old files, that probably has been corrupted and put them back in the new files.
It might be that you have made incorrect changes in the config files or they have become corrupted.
    Kind Regards

  • Main account fails to login

I am using a G4 iBook running OS X 10.4.10. I have already run repair permissions and the automated maintenance of Onyx.
The main account I use, which is not an admin account, fails to login. My wife's account and the admin account both still works. What happens is that I select the account and type in the password. When I hit enter the password is highlighted and the "log in" and "back" buttons become disabled. However, the loading bar does not appear at all and no logging in happens. I have noticed that I can still re-enter the password but the buttons are still disabled. I have the restart the computer to get back to the login screen.
This problem began immediately after the computer suddenly turned off while I was browsing the iTunes store.
Message was edited by: Robert Monroe

Two things to try, Robert. Go to System Preferences > Accounts and see if there is anything strange in your Login Items.
Then boot from your Mac OS X install DVD and go to Disk Utility and run repair disk. You've already correctly run repair permissions (you do this while booted from your internal HD). But you have to boot from your install DVD to run repair disk. Somethin in your Mac's directory might have been disturbed when the computer suddenly turned off while you were using it. Repair disk is capable of fixing some of these problems.
