Failed to recover HP Probook 4530 after Macafee endpoint encryption fatal error

1. Explain the detailed description of the issue?
> I encrypted my hard drive using the hp protect tools, later i wanted do decryp it because it was slow, i used the hp protect tools administrator options to disable it ( i used the start up wizard or somenthing like that option) after i restarted my computer i got a massage at the boot up that say "MacAfee endpoint encryption fatal error: [0xEE0D0001] failed to read registry file", i restarted my computer and I got the same error after searching in the web i found a post in the HP forums where someone had the same problem and he he said he fix it by restoring the computer to factory settings, i tried the same using the HP recovery manager using ESC and then the key F11, the process of restoring my computer was running normal, but later i got a blue screen which i was not able to read because me computer restarted a few seconds after, later at the boot up now shows a message that says "the computer was restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error" and the only option that show that little window is to restart and that basically what it does it just starts as normal but soon after the windows logo it start to "load core services" and then that little message appears.
> 2. Since when are you experiencing this issue?
> since today 5/18/2012
> 3. Have you made any hardware or software changes to the notebook?
> i tried to disable the hard drive encryption provided by MacAfee using the HP protect tools
> 4. Have you performed any troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue?
> i tried to restore my computer to factory settings using the HP recovery manager
> 5. Any other information that is related to the issue?
> after all that happen i tried to use again the HP Recovery Manager but i can not i got a code error 0XC000000F, and it says that the problem may be solved by inserting the windows installer disk which i dont have, but i thing that the problem is that the hard drive still encrypted and that why i was unable to restore my computer

1. Yes using dban will erase everything permanently.
2. I just used that adapter as a reference, so you know what is needed. Not sure what Best Buy is recommending, I don't trust that company at all.

  • Screen does not turn on after sleep - ProBook 4530s - Windows 8.1 (64bit)

    Hi everyone,
Not sure if this had to be posted in notebook display and video section, or laptop lockups, freezes and hangs. Anyway, I have a problem, where everything is fine with the computer, it's running smoothly, but whenever I make it go to sleep, after it does it instantly, the signals are of a regular laptop sleep - power buton flashing, no other signs of computer being on.
However, the problem appears when turning the computer back on after sleep. After pressing the power button, the computer straight away starts working - you can hear the fan turned on, etc, just that pretty much nothing changes with the screen. Sometimes, with some particular light directed towards the screen, you can even see, that the computer is on (seeing the clock on the display), just like the brightness was set down to 2% or something. And there is nothing that helps from what I have tried to do (tried reinstalling both AMD drivers and Intel HD drivers). I researched this problem extensively but could not find a solution, however, as I have noticed that this is quite an old problem (assuming from the date of the posts this problem first showed up), there might be a solution for it, to which I just have not noticed the answer?
If anyone can help me, please do, the sleep function is essential and extra important function when living on campus at university, I just cannot operate like this.
Hopefully someone will know, thank you in advance.

  • How can i recover my Hp probook 4530s

I have hp probook 4530s and i want to recover it to its original factory setting i already converted my disk form dynamic to basic but its still not working
    This question was solved.

This may work if you still have the recovery partition on the hard disk. I suggest that you try this first.
Source for Microsoft Windows Vista, Windows 7 & Windows 8  ISO images  including links to required software and tutorials as generously provided by forum member AXSHUN JAXSUN
You can download the legal Windows 7 64-bit ISO image file and then create an install DVD.  You could use the Microsoft DVD\USB download tool to create usb install media. You will need a  4 or 8 GB USB flashdrive to create the installer. I find the Microsoft DVD\USB download tool  to be the most effective solution since a USB install is so much faster. You can have the installation done within about thirty minutes or so.
Use the license activation key that is on the Microsoft Windows COA to activate the installation.
You can download all required drivers from the web support portal for your notebook and install them.  Install the chipset driver first and then audio and card reader drivers.

  • XSERVE RAID Disk Failed to Recover After Reset...

    Greetings,
I've got an PATA XSERVE RAID with 14x250GB Dries setup as RAID 5.
Last week event monitor reported that Disk 14 Reported An Error Command 0x35 ERROR 0x10 STATUS 0x51 LBA 0X3978B80.
Not having a spare Drive available, I ordered one and Reconditioned the Raid Using the RAID Admin Tool. 3 days later it reported all as well. This morning my new ADM arrived and before I could replace Drive 14, it started generating basically the same Error.
So I swapped in the New Drive, and it began to rebuild, now here's the kicker...
After a few minutes it started giving me this ERROR:
DISK 14 FAILED TO RECOVER AFTER RESET. RETRYING
    then...
DATA WAS LOST DURING A REBUILD.
It continued to repeat these messages until it Finally reported:
    DISK 14 OFFLINE
So, I thought it must be a bad Drive, So I figured let me kill 2 birds with 1 stone and swap out a drive I had working fine in an XSERVE. So I ejected the new drive from the XSERVE RAID and Replaced it directly with the Drive from the XSERVE (Also 250GB) And...
It did the Same exact thing, same errors, etc.
    So what's going on?
RAID ADMIN reports all Components OK
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks
    LJS

OK, So replying to my own issues here...
So I've replaced the Lower Controller and updated the firmware on that Controller.
The I ejected disk 14, waited a minute or 2, then re-inserted the Disk, then made it available for use.
It attempted to add to the existing RAID and the errors started all over again (See 1st post)
So apparently it wasn't the controller.
So I figured it must be the RAID Set itself, so to be sure, I swapped Drive 8 with Drive 14.
Deleted the ARRAY and Re-Created it, it's building now and Now Drive 8 is offline, So it would appear to be the drive, but I already replaced it with a known working drive, a new one from Apple, and then one directly from my XServe (See 1st post)
So I'm just baffled at this point.

Hi, When I power up the HP ProBook 4530s the power button lights up but the display doesn't come on. It stays that way untilI power the notebook down (nothing is displayed whatover).  The battery is in useless condition and the notebook runs on AC power only. Recently (two weeks before the post) I received the error "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded” error message in Windows 7 and fixed it by booting the computer in safe mode and fixing the registry entries. I can see that the USB port receives power and both the cooling fans (internal and external) are functioning when I power up. Would be deeply gratified if you can help me sort this out. Thanks,Rajasekar Vijayaraghavan

  • Igdpmd64.sys BSOD on HP ProBook 4530s Windows 7 64-bit

I used my HP ProBook 4530s with Windows 7 64-bit and Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) installed since 2011 with no issues.
Recently I updated Windows to SP1 and IE10. All works well except one thing.
When I run IE10, open few tabs and hoover my mouse over IE10 icon so that it shows the half-transparent small windows my PC crashes.
It shows blue screen with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA message caused by igdpmd64.sys driver.
    1) I found at HP forum the post "igdpmd64.sys BSOD on HP Envy14t".
I followed the recommendation to uninstall KB2670838.
However after rebooting PC the IE10 disappeared and IE8 came back to life.
I updated then Windows trying to block the KB2670838 installation but it was impossible since KB2670838 was not shown at the list but somehow "installed in the background".
So I was back to the point "all works well except one thing".
    2) I found another forum post which recommended to upgrade the igdpmd64.sys driver.

However during the installation process I received a message (2a):
"This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".
I called HP support who advised to install the previous version of the driver.
I did it but received the same message (2a)
I called HP support again who advised to install the driver from the Intel page.
    3) I went to: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search?keyword=Intel%c2%ae+Q45+Express+Chipset

However during the installation process I received a message (2a).
I have no more ideas. Could anybody help me please ?

  • HP ProBook 4530s orange blinking led, won't recognise the power cord

    Hello!
yestarday I tried to open my laptop but it didn't start. i thought that maybe the battery was empty so i plugged the power cord, but nothing happened.
then I noticed the led near the power cord blinking orange. After a fast googling i came to this thread ( http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware/charging-light-blinking-problem-with-hp-probook-4530s... )
using the 8-step guide I managed to boot the laptop just to realise that it won't detect the power cord!
It was really strange, because when I noticed this, my battery was already at 2%!
I shut down the laptop, and tried to open it without the battery, it booted normally, but it still can't detect that the power cord is plugged in!!!!!
On the other thread some mentioned to update the bios, but in my case where it can't detect the power cord, that's impossible, because the procedure requires the laptop to be plugged in.
Now the laptop won't start normally, I have to keep the power button pressed for 40 secs and then plug the power cord. In addition it won't work only with battery, and that is my biggest problem!!
    What should I do now?

    Hello @sakisg4 ,
To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the HP ProBook 4530s is a commercial product. You can do this here Notebook - HP ProBook, EliteBook, Compaq, Slate/Tablet PC, Armada, LTE

  • HP ProBook 4530s USB 3.0 driver failure

    Hi,
I have a ProBook 4530s (pn:A1D18EA#AKC) with Win7 x64 English version. There is a renesas USB 3.0 Host controller built in.
When I install the device driver it works correctly but when I close the lid of laptop and turn it back the HW stops working and the "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" error appears in device status under device manager. When I uninstall the driver, reinstall, reboot then it works until the first sleep. Hibernating turned off. I tried many drivers without success.
If i disable the device under device manager and re-enable it it solves the problem but it is not normal. It is seriously annoying me.
At this time the driver information is this:
    Renesas Electronics
    2011.10.25.
    2.1.28.0
    Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher
There is a Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter in device manager without driver.
It displays a "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)" message. What is this hardware and where can I found a driver?
    Thanks

Here are the device manager after powerup from sleep or from shutdown:

  • HP ProBook 4530s AUDIO PROBLEM WIN 8.1

Hello. I have HP Probook 4530s. After I installed Windows 8.1 update 1 the sound driver stopped working properly. When I want to play some music, video or even system sounds, sound appears after 1-2 minutes. At that time HDD usage is 100% cause of windows audio device graph isolation. I’ve installed that IDT High Definition (HD) Audio Driver from HP’s driver support site, but that’s not working. As I see in device manager driver’s release date is 24.10.2012. I think, it’s too old for Windows 8.1. Can you help me? Is there any other newer version of that sound driver?

    Hi,
Please using Device Manager to uninstall the existing driver and try the following driver:

  • HP Probook 4530s A7K05UT No Stickers

Hello, I purchased this Probook 4530s back in August from TigerDirect. I recently decided to get my cheap upgrade to Windows 8 and noticed I have no Windows 7 product key sticker or S/N sticker on the bottom of my laptop. Was this common for these laptops? Is the Product key sticker located on something else?  Thanks, Joe

Dear Users, I am another HP Probook 4530s user from Istanbul, Turkey. I have checked my computer to find product key. I have looked inside after move the battery but there is no any product key or something like that.  Could you help me to find it? Best Regards,FE

  • WLAN Card Issue Probook 4530s

I hope you all can help with an issue I am having. I do IT support for a school that ordered a ton of HP Probook 4530s laptops.
One of them has developed an issue. The user said that one day she had wifi and the next she simply didnt. I have ran every hardware and software test known to man. I have tried resetting the bios, I have tried un and reinstalling the drivers and the HP connection utility, I have tried EVERYTHING.
The wireless device simply does not show up. Not as disabled, not even in device manager.
I tried replacing it with the same model adapter and nothing changes.
I tried replacing it with a different model adapter. After that, when I started the computer and an HP error message popped up that said something like "The adapter you have installed is not supported by this computer." I would press enter (I think) to continue and then it would start like normal. Once it started, Windows didn't recognize that device. Not as unknown hardware or anything else.
Does this mean a bad motherboard? I just don't understand how the BIOS picked it up the replacement as an incompatible device but Windows wouldn't recognize it.
    Anybody have any suggestions?
Computer is running Windows 7 Pro x64 and is joined onto a domain.

    Hi:
You can only install a supported wireless card listed in the service manual and it must have the HP Part number on it or it will not work.
The only suggestion I can offer is to make sure you have the connection manager software installed and see if you can turn the card on using that software.

I assume it is not something simple like the user inadvertently turned off the wireless button as shown in the illustration in chapter 2 on page 11, and identified on page 12?

  • Problem creating Recovery Discs with HP Probook 4530s Notebook PC.

I have a HP ProBook 4530s Notebook computer my daughter gave me. It is 5 months out of warranty. I had to recover it using Recovery Manager and the recovery partition.  The OS is W7 Home Premium 64 bit.
An HP support document says that I can create Windows 7 recovery discs using DVD-R media. It says to click Start, then All Programs, then Recovery Manager.
The problem is there is no Recovery Manager in All Programs. I want to create recovery discs instead of relying on the recovery partition.
I called HP and they had no explanation. I asked them if the instructions were wrong or were they right but for some reason Recovery Manager was missing from All Programs. All they could tell me is to recover it using the recovery partition by restarting the computer and then pushing F11 for the Recovery Manager. That works to recover the computer but NOT to create recovery discs.
Is there any way to create Recovery discs?

    Hi
Not without the recovery manager, which is not included on every HP business notebook.
My HP Elitebook 6930p came with a recovery partition but no recovery disks, recovery manager program to make recovery disks.
    And it cannot be downloaded.
If you live in the USA, call HP at this number, 1-800-334-5144 and order a set of recovery disks.
You will need to provide the model number and serial number to the customer support rep.
Since the notebook is out of warranty, there will be a charge of $10 for the set of recovery disks.
