Failed to start two OSB development domains

Hello All,
I am a newbie to OSB.
I am trying to create two development OSB domain, but I am not able to start the second one after the configuration wizard. It's the pointbase problem, I think. the second OSB domian is trying to start the point base again, and gets a conflict error.
Is there anyone can help me out?
Thanks and regards,
Kerr

In real production env, I plan to use XE, but it looks like XE is not in the support list.Oracle Database XE is not tested. Theoretically you should see no problem using Oracle driver to connect to XE. Contact your Oracle support representative to get official recommendation if XE can be used with Weblogic/OSB. OSB is not dependent on any Database unless you want to use reporting provider.
The bundled evaluation version of Pointbase DB server for running any number of domains. Makesure you start point base server
/bea/wlserver_10.3/common/eval/pointbase/tools/startPointbase.sh and configure a new Database using /bea/wlserver_10.3/common/eval/pointbase/tools/startPointbaseConsole.sh and use that database.
Cheers

  • I did the recommended re-install to resolve the missing MSVCR80.dll file. This worked, but I am now stymied by two error messages: "Apple Mobile Device failed to start" and "Apple application support not found". How to overcome?

    That worked, however I now get two error messages when I install I Tunes:
    o  Apple Mobile Device failed to start.
    o  Apple Application Support not found.
    This were of course deleted in the recommended re-install procedure to resolve the dll file, but repeated uninstalls and installs simply bring up these two error messages with a recommendation to install I Tune again. Installing the new I Tunes version seems to be problematic per the discussion groups and has no simple solution. SHould not the Genius bar be able to resolve this at an Apple Store? Want to buy a new I Phone 5S, but this problem effectively stymies this.

  • Group MSA account fail when Domain Controller in Test Domain Fails to start KdsSvc. Event ID 7023

    Yesterday, in my test domain, I created the KDS root key using the Add-KdsRootKey –EffectiveTime ((get-date).addhours(-10))
    command on a DC that is not the PDC Emulator because it was the server I was on at the time.  Today, when I tried to create gMSA accounts on the PDC emulator, I get:
    Event ID 7023 The Microsoft Key Distribution Service terminated with the following error: An Exception occurred in the service when handling the control request
    I turned on logging on to the KdsSvc and get 2 other errors:
    KdsSvc Event ID 4001: Group Key Distribution Service failed to start. Status 0x80070020
    KdsSvc Event ID 4007: Group Key Distribution Service cannot connect to the domain controller on local host.  Status 0x80070020.  Group Key Distribution Service cannot be started because of the error.  Please contact the administrator to resolve
    the issue.
    I took the opportunity to clean up AD, the Schema, and DNS, but the kds errors continues.  I am replicating successfully, DNS changes are reflected immediately, and when I run the get-KDSRootKey on the failing server, the key is returned.  The
    Get-KdsConfiguration matches the KDS config on the DC that originally ran to create the key.
    I have a pretty strict GPO pushed to my DCs but I am still able to create gMSAs on the other server.  I checked ADS&S and found the msKds-ProvRootKey so I know it is at the domain level, but there is so little documentation on the KdsSvc that I
    am not sure if it is working as planned.  I have tried unassigning several GPO configuration items but I am throwing darts at this point.  I have also uninstalled McAfee AV; IDS/IPS; Firewall.
    With that said, I have questions:
    Will gMSAs still work even though the domain pdc emulator cannot start the service?
    Is the KdsSvc supposed to start only on the server Add-KDSRootKey was originally created?
    What happens if the server the KdsSvc key was created fails and has to be removed from the domain?
    Is there any books or configuration items I can review to learn the KdsSvc better?
    Env:

    DCDiag returns no errors or test failures
    Repadmin returns clean results (/showreps & /replsum)
    Windows 2008 R2 Root CA hierarchy (not DCs)
    W32tm services are running with less than 6/10's of a ms difference among the domain.

    Hi,
    For Windows Server 2012, the Windows PowerShell cmdlets default to managing the group Managed Service Accounts instead of the original standalone Managed
    Service Accounts.
    New-ADServiceAccount -name <ServiceAccountName> -DNSHostName <fqdn> -PrincipalsAllowedToRetrieveManagedPassword <group>
    -ServicePrincipalNames <SPN1,SPN2,…>
    Did you use the command abouve?

  • OIM Domain on Weblogic Failed to Start

    I was able to install WebLogic, Oracle Database and OIM.
    Before installing OIM, I was able to start the domain I created on WebLogic at:
    Start -> All Programs -> Oracle WebLogic -> User Projects -> oim_domain -> Start Admin Server for Weblogic Server Domain
    where oim_domain is the name of the domain I have created.
    However after I finished installing OIM, the same domain failed to start.
    There is a security service runtime exception and the wls does not start

    start weblogic admin console with script xlStartWLS.bat which is created in directory "bea_home\user_projects\domains\oim_domain\bin"
    That should start your weblogic admin console correctly.

  • SQL Developer failed to start !

    Hi:
    Sorry for posting new thread abot my problem. I found many threads talking about a similar problem but I couldn't find the answer.
    I downloaded the last version -so far- of SQL Developer 2.1.1.64.45 (Oracle SQL Developer for 32-bit Windows (This zip file includes the JDK1.6._11)). and after extracting and running, the following error appears
    This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
    when I click "OK" button another message appears Unable to launch the Java Virtual Machine Located at path: ..\..\jdk\jre\bin\client\jvm.dll
    I'm using Windows XP SP2 and JVM is version 6 update 19.
    Thanks,
    Saad

    First of all, check if you have directory structure, more specifically the one mentioned above. If you haven't, unzip again with the proper structure.
    Then check MSVCR71.dll on your system, which additionally should be in your PATH environment var (commonly \Windows\System32). If it ain't, get it from your search engine.
    Hope that helps,
    K.

  • CSACS servcies fail to start when using domain user account

    I have installed CSACS 3.3 on a member server in a Windows 2003 domain. The member server is running Server 2003, too.
    I created a user account in Active Directory and configured the CSACS services to log on as this account. Through Group Policy I granted the user the "log on as a service" and "act as part of the operating system" privileges per the Installation Guide for Cisco Secure ACS for Windows. I verefied that the policy has taken affect on the CSACS server.
    The CSACS services fail to start as this user account. The error messages are non-specific. If I add the user to the local administrators group the services start just fine.
    Anybody know what I might be missing?
    Thanks in advance.
    Colin

    Did you ever figure this out? I'm running into the exact same problem. Same version of ACS and everthing. CSLog is the only service that started.

  • App Server Fails to Start after Installation

    Hi,
    I've spent a whole day struggling with this, looking through forum discussions and trying out every single suggestion I've come across in the forums. I'm running out of ideas now and really appreciate any help I can get with this problem.
    I'm trying to install SJSC2 (also tried with SJSC2u1 with the same outcome) on a new HP notebook (nw9440) running WinXP_sp2. I'm using the default installation done by HP.
    My installation path is C:\Java\SunCreator2 (C:\Java\SunCreator2_1 for update 1).
    After the installation the App server fails to start up and gives the below error in the server.log.

    I've tried every workaround I've seen in the forums such as installing under different paths (both with spaces and without spaces), cleaning all the temporary files in the Temp directory, renaming the productregistry in the windows system directory. Each time I get the exact same error in the install.log.
    I also tried installing the stand alone SUN App Server 8.1_02_2005Q2 as well as 8.2. I don't seem to have any issue with this installation or running of the stand alone server at all on the same machine.
    Really appreciate any help I can get. TIA....

    Hi,
    After spending more time looking through the forum, I came across the below thread which has worked in my case (though it was suggested for Sol10x86).
    http://forum.sun.com/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=62404&messageID=243113
    This is the workaround that worked in my case.
    > $ cd <Creator_Home>/SunAppServer8/lib
    $ mv processLauncher.xml processLauncher.xml.trayIcon
    $ cp processLauncher.xml.bak processLauncher.xml
    # If you have a domains/creator/config/domain.xml
    $ cd ../bin
    $ ./asadmin start-domain creator
    This started the app server. After that I was able to start and stop app server within the JSC as well.
    Only difference between these two xml files seem to be,
    processLauncher.xml.trayicon
    <main_class classname="com.sun.rave.tray.RavePEMain"/>
    processLauncher.xml
    <main_class classname="com.sun.enterprise.server.PEMain"/>
    Possibly pointing to a bug in the "com.sun.rave.tray.RavePEMain" class.
    Thanks for your suggestions guys... and especially to Marco and Greg.

    When you have a oracle server running on the same physical machine, why do you need client to support your needs?
    As you said, your oracle client installation might be an error, u can always point BIN on app server to your server installation and start the server.That was true up to Oracle 11.1 because the 32bit librairies were shipped in ORACLE_HOME even if that one was a 64bit installation.
    It has been dramatically changed within Oracle 11.2 though. The 32bit libraries are not coming anymore within the Oracle 11.2 64bit, you have to explicitely install a 11.2 32bit client to make it work with Peoplesoft on Windows. And configure your Peoplesoft installation to work within that 32bit client.
    Consequently, if you have all together installed on the same server (Oracle database 11.2 64bit and Peoplesoft), you must have two Oracle homes : one for the 64bit database, one for the 32bit client.

  • Scheduled Task as Service Account - Failed to Start 2147943785

    I am attempting to run some powershell scripts that update membership of groups based on role attribute on users, then also grabs members of some groups and updates other groups with these members.
    I've delegated access through "security" to give this service account write:member and write:memberof for the Groups OU and write:memberof for the OUs containing the user accounts.
    I've updated my Default Domain Policy to give this service account Log On As Batch Job permissions.
    The scheduled task is running from a Domain Controller.
    When I attempt to run the task as the service account I receive the following:

  • Oracle Service Bus 11g (11.1.1.3.0) failing to start

    I have installed Oracle Weblogic 10.3.3 (11g with Patch Set2) on a Windows XP SP2 32-bit machine. I was able to configure and start the AdminServer without any issues. Next, I installed Oracle Service Bus 11g (11.1.1.3.0) on top of WLS 10.3.3 (11g) on the same machine. I extended the previous weblogic domain (AdminServer only) to include Oracle Service Bus (OSB) features. OSB server was configured successfully.
    However, the AdminServer and OSB server is now failing to start successfully. It is failing to deploy and load the OSB applications (e.g. - OSB Console, File Adapter, SB Transport Adapter etc. ). While configuring the OSB domain, OSB application got targeted to both AdminServer and OSB server. Have you encountered this issue before? I tried to start the managed server from command prompt and Admin console

    I deployed the JMS adaptor also in weblogic10.0.
    Could you please tell me the reason for the error?

    A problem occurred with a Messaging Bridge between two JMS topics running in two Managed
    Servers in the same domain, running on the same machine. As the Messaging Bridge was being
    started during WebLogic Server startup, it threw the following warning message. Messages
    could not be forwarded.
    Analysis revealed that the bridge failed to create the message listener because it was
    configured for durable topics and there was no JMS store available. The Bridge encountered an
    internal error when trying to log the resource exception so the customer was not able to tell
    why the bridge was failing.
    The problem was resolved by a code change to allow the bridge to throw the correct resource
    exception. Now, the correct exception is logged by the bridge.

  • Samba 4.1.6 winbind failing to start

    I created a clean install of Arch on the 17th Feb with Samba 4.1.4 as an "active directory domain controller" and provisioned my domain. It was working as expected providing kerberos tickets, shares, DNS, and a few GPOs. I upgraded Samba to 4.1.5 on 4th March and it was still fine. On the 19th March I upgraded Samba to 4.1.6.
    About the same time Samba began failing on startup. Unfortunately my earliest journalctl entry is 20th March so I can't quite be sure that it was the upgrade which caused the failure; I've also been playing about with pam_mount. My problem is that I can't find any information on this particular error and I'm not sure where else to look. I've pasted the error message below. It seems winbind won't start but I can't figure out why.
    samba[285]: samba version 4.1.6 started.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on debugging steps? Preferably without losing the contents of the AD.

    I had exactly the same issue after rebooting my samba DC yetserday. I checked pacman.log for what had changed since last sucessfull startup and correlated my issue to this upgrade:
    /var/log/pacman.log wrote:[2014-03-21 18:40] [PACMAN] upgraded talloc (2.0.8-2 -> 2.1.0-1)
    [2014-03-21 18:40] [PACMAN] upgraded tevent (0.9.19-1 -> 0.9.21-2)
    I've found two workarounds for this issue:
    downgrading these two packages back to their old version
    BUG #39557: adding /usr/lib/tevent to a newly created /etc/ld.so.conf.d/tevent.conf file and running ldconfig.

  • ORA-12500 TNSLISTENER failed to start a dedicated server process

    Environment W2000 Pro SP4 latest fixes
    I just installed database 10g (10.1.0) in order to have a 10g (10.1) database (ORCL1) as required by Oracle Warehouse builder and other business intelligrence products like disoverer (from discoverer suite) and Portal 10g (9.0.4)
    during installation of 10g database I got following messages
    ==>Oracle Cluster Registry failed to initialize (in french) and went on
    ==>error when starting OracleCsservice
    i retried and went on.
    Install finishes correctly
    I can access the new database (type warehouse) with sqlplus in a dos window
    However I can't reach it through SQL*Plus of oracle 10g database and get ORA-12500 TNSLISTENER failed to start a dedicated server process message
    OracleCSService starting
    OracleDBConsoleORCL1 started
    OracleINFRASControl started
    OracleINFRAprocessManager started
    OracleINFRATNSListener started
    OracleOraDb10g_home1iSQL*Plus Started
    OraclePORTALBIASontrol Started
    OraclePORTALBIProcessManager Started
    OracleServiceASDB Started
    OracleServiceORCL1 Started
    ...... other databases.....
    I only have one LISTENER service (the one that was created for INFRAstructure instance) is it OK ?
    All other databases instances I am using where created from INFRA DBCA. and all defined with a dedicated server.
    I tried to define it through DBCA of Oracle database
    left dedicated server and finish
    won't work DBCA refuses
    I also tried to Stop/start OracleServiceOrcl1 but it won't stop
    database ORCL1 is unreachable from other instances:
    from Oracle WareHouse Builder's Enterprise Manager console I get the same ORA-12500 message
    same with Oracle Net Configuration Assistant of
    Oracle Developer Suite Net assistant
    What's wrong,
    is one listener enough? is there a bug in the product?..
    I read quite a few enties but didnt get the answer to my problem

    Hello Werner,
    What means error 1058?
    i posted an entry in application server
    Listener.ora and tsnames .ora where updated on INFRAstructure instance to be nearly identical to 10g DB instance (diference is one db definition)
    However starting infrastructure and portal instances has become erratic and error prone:u
    It takes about 20 minutes to start these two instances by hand has before i had only to start them and everything went smoothly (but took also a long time).
    Now i get the following messages and have to use following opmnctl commands to have the whole thing running as follows:
    ==> start INFRASTRUCTURE
    lancement de tnslsnr: veuillez patientez...
    failed to start service, error 1058 ==> new message
    TNS-12536: l'opération provoquerait le blocage ==>new
    TNS-12560 erreur d'adaptateur de protocole ==> not new and didn(t care
    TNS-00506 l'opération provoquerait un blocage ==> new
    32-bits Windows Error: 997: Unknown error ==>not new and didn't care
    I also get from SMTP the following mail:
