I found the problem while I install acrobat professional 7.0 on Windows 7( 64 bit version), Adobe PDF port & printer was not created. Subject: Re: Acrobat Professional 7.0 not able to PDF documents
Yes! Thank you. I played around with it some and found that is the case, that I can PDF through the printer as well as bring the application up. I suppose it's just not install-able in full because it just cannot link up with Windows 7 in any capacity.
That's all the ability that I need at the present time. Nothing special, just whether it can or can't. Thanks!

    Please check the solution provided under the below articles and check if that helps. Few users have resolved their issues by following it.

    Also, try running the below Microsoft fixit and check if that works.

  • Can't upgrade Acrobat Professional 9.0 to Acrobat Professional 9.3

    We have been installing Acrobat Pro 9.0 on machines.  Now that the 9.3 update has been released we want to update the computers.  I have followed the instructions to create an AIP. 9.0, 9.1, 9.1.2, 9.2, 9.3.  When I attempt to install Acrobat Professional 9.3 on a computer that has Acrobat Professional 9.0 on it I receive the following error message.
    Another version of this product is already installed.  Installation of this version cannot continue.  To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Programs on the Control Panel.
    If I install the package I created on a computer that does not have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed on it, there are no problems.  The package is installed and it is at the correct version.
    I obviously don't think I should have to manually remove Acrobat Pro 9 from the computers.  Shouldn't the patched 9.3 product install over 9.0?

    Browse in the registry to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\
    Highlight {AC76BA86-1033-0000-7760-000000000004} or {AC76BA… as Adobe stuff usually starts with that
    On the right you will see stuff like
    DisplayName = Adobe Acrobat…
    DisplayVersion = 9.3.2
    This confirms the product and version.  So in the above example if you want to uninstall it this would be the command
    Msiexec.exe /x{AC76BA86-1033-0000-7760-000000000004}  and then /qb or /qb! For no cancel button etcetera
    So once I found my 9.0.0.332 SID I opened Adobe Customization Wizard 9, opened my MSI with attached MST.  Clicked on the last option in the left column, “Direct Editor”, then on the table “Upgrade”.  I looked in the list for my SID and saw several close ones but not the same SID.  So I made note of the VersionMin, Attributes, and ActionProperty of the similar row.  I then added a new row with the known SID I wanted removed and with the noted info from the other row.
    Clicked save, which updated my mst.  I’m using a command that launches setup.exe.  I find that the settings in the transform are more consistent than when running a full msiexec i/…transform=…command.
    When I run the setup.exe I see the msiexec window startup saying configuring 9.3.2 and then it flash to an msiexec window saying removing older version of the product followed shortly by installing 9.3.2
    Done

    I purchased today the Adobe Acrobat Professional XI - Upgrade Upgrade - English -  Mac - Download.  Onceiget started it confirms that the my serial number isvalid butthat a qualifying product could not be found on my computer.   I do have Acrobat Professional Pro v8 from 2006 installed on my computer. Anyadviseon how  ican resolve this?

    after entering your xi pro serial number the installer checks your computer for that pro v8 product.  failing to find it you will be presented with a menu that allows you to select your qualifying product (pro v8) and you then will be prompted for its (pro v8) serial number.
    enter the correct number at the correct time and installation should proceed.

  • Cascading implementation of Acrobat Professional versions fails because chain is broken

    I, finally, decided to move from Windows XP to Windows 7 Professional. This move requires re-implementation of software, including re-implementing Acrobat Professional 8 (shorthand: A.P.8).
    Now A.P.8. came to me as an upgrade to A.P.7 which came to ma as an update to A.P.6. I'm not sure if A.P.6 came to me as an update of A.P.5. Anyway, I lost the CD for A.P.6. Now I'm stuck. Being a home user, I hesitate to buy the upgrade to A.P.11 which I couldn't install anyway because I cannot install A.P.8.
    In My Account, there is a registration of my purchase of Acrobat Professional, starting in 2002 with A.P.4
    ADOBE support let'sd me down at the moment because I didn't any means to communicate directly with ADOBE. So now I post this question here to the ADOBE community.

    Thanks Ned, I chatted with one Adobe's consultant (your first link is not
    applicable for Acrobat versions before version 10). The solution is simple.
    Start implementing Acrobat 8; when no qualifying software is detected, input
    the key of the previous version (in my case version 7) and the installation
    runs smoothly.
    Thanks again for your assistance!

    Marien

  • Upgrade a license from Adobe Acrobat Standard XI to Adobe Acrobat Professional XI?

    Can i upgrade a license from Adobe Acrobat Standard XI to Adobe Acrobat Professional XI?  and pay only the difference, or i have to buy a full license?

    As I remember some of the posts long ago, I am not sure the possibility for upgrade is too good. At one point as I recall you essentially had to pay the upgrade cost. All of this is from a not too good memory and I agree that the only way to find out for sure is to call Adobe. It would be useful for us if you reported back on what you find out.

    Upgraded to OSX 10.7 and lost Acrobat Professional 8 features on Pro X that came with the OS.
    Do I need to purchase a new license? Seems a little harsh considering the entire CS suite had to be upgraded...

  • Need Help Upgrading Acrobat 8.0 to 8.1.2 on MAC

    I am trying to upgrade Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0 to 8.1.2, but I'm having some trouble. I downloaded the Acrobat 8.1.2 Pro Patch Updater. When I open the icon, a window opens up that reads:
    "Acrobat 8 Pro Patch" is an application which was downloaded from the internet. Are you sure you want to open it?
    When I click on 'open,' another window opens that prompts me to choose the copy of Adobe Acrobat Professional to update. When I choose the 'Adobe Acrobat Professional' folder to open, all of the contents in the folder (which includes the Acrobat Professional 8.0 that I want to upgrade) is faded so that I can't select it.
    Am I doing something wrong? What do I do to update??
    Thank you in advance to anyone who replies.

    You need the 8.0 -> 8.1 patch and then 8.1.1 and then 8.1.2 ..

  • Creating a Form in Acrobat Professional 8

    I am attempting to create a fully-interactive PDF form, using an MS Word Document which I created using Word 2007 on my system, which is Windows Vista Home Premium.  I want the colleagues to whom I send this form to be able to complete it on line, and return it to me by e-mail.   I have tried to do this in 2 ways:
    I have opened the MS Word document, clicked on Acrobat, Create PDF, and in the window entitled Save Adobe PDF file as:  I selected Fully Functional PDF and indicated that the resulting file be saved on my Desktop.  It appears that the process does complete, but I can find the resulting file NOWHERE on my system.  I've searched in every way possible, and find only a shortcut to the new file, but not the file itself.  I obtain an error message when I click on this shortcut!
    I have also opened my Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional software, and selected Create PDF, from file.  I selected the correct file, and the conversion process began.  After 10% of the conversion was complete, the following message appeared:  "PDF Conversion process failed; please correct the error and retry".  However, I have no idea what the "error" is, so I cannot comply!
    The form I am working with is NOT a template, but one I have created.  My needs are not met by any of the available templates available within the program.  I am at a loss for a solution, and hope that someone on this forum can help me.

    please delete me from your mailing list.  tks.

  • Acrobat Professional 7 Document Message Bar does not display

    I am running Acrobat Professional 7.0.9 on a Windows 2000 PC (HP Compaq dc7100, P4, 1GB RAM). After upgrading Adobe Reader to version 8.1.2, I can no longer create forms that trigger the Document Message Bar to display in either Acrobat or Reader. (No, the Always Hide option is not selected in my preferences in either program.) Forms I created before the upgrade still display normally. How can I fix this issue?

    I had troubles with Acrobat Pro 6.0 after I installed Reader 8.1.2.
    I removed the newer reader and all worked fine again. Seems I'm not missing much using the 6.0 version.
