Failover for Single ASA

Hi All,
I want to know what all fail-over I can build for single ASA. I am planning to connect as per the attached.
Please let me know all configuration that i can build. Do i need to assign 2 ip's for that 2 interfaces connected to inside,dmz and outside.
Please let me know if you any other design.

Hi Satya,
You cannot assign IP's of the same subnet to two different interfaces of the ASA in the routed mode. So as per your diagram, you cannot connect Inside interface of the ASA to both the 6504E switches or to the DMZ switches as you have shown. If you want to do such a failover, you can use 2 ASA's with Active/Standby failover while connecting ASA-1 to 6504EGa and ASA-2 to 6504EGb. You can also do Active/Active failover.
Also with 1 ASA, if you want to configure 2 ISP's on 2 interfaces, please remember policy based routing is not supported on ASA so at any gien time only 1-ISP will be active for all the traffic going out. You can have the failover configured so that everything fail's over to the secondary ISP when Primary goes down with tracks etc.

How to plan Failover for the following Scenarios in Flex-connect mode.

The following queries are in respect to AP High availability (not SSO fail over or Controller HA), meaning if one controller fails, the AP will be failing over to the secondary controller which is in a different Geo location. the AP will be in Flex-connect mode with local switching and local auth. in this scenario, following are my queries
1: If i have an SSID that has an interface group linked to it, can i fail it over on other controller where there may be a single WLAN linked to it.?
2:Do we need the subnet masks to be same at both ends?
3: if i have an SSID with open authentication, can i configure the remote network SSID with no authentication?
4: can any one link me up with a document that explains configuration case study of the flex-connect mode fail over scenarios.
All the help given would be really appreciated.

it did help me a lot, but now i am in a tiff.
the thing is my client has following existing scenario:
he has 6 disparate locations with a standalone 5508 WLC at each location.
he is now planning to configure AP failover for every location.
we are using the Flex-connect design as he has not procured a HA-SSO license.
also the WLC are not in same location.
the Flex-connect design is with Local Switching and local Auth.
there are 2 SSID which are causing me issues.
1: SSID A is linked to an interface group which has multiple vlans.
2: SSID B shares its WLAN interface with another SSID (the wlan is split between 2 different SSID)
we need local switching for these and also they need to have local auth.
so if i remove the interface group for SSID A and use a bigger subnet, what will be the best possible mask to use considering that the ARP and DHCP broadcast shouldn't choke up the network (existing subnets are /21 and /22). or any workaround to minimise the network activity.
and for SSID b what is the configuration i would need to do on the secondary controller or is it just that the SSID needs to be present on the controller and the mask need not be same.

I sometimes think differently. I also think like what this person is asking..(although I have installed and administering 5 different RAC databases)
The main doubt of mine is that we create multiple instances accessing the same storage area.
Anyway the controlfiles of all instances will have the same information except the instance_names and instance id's.
Hence I always think , why can't it be possible to to create another instance in the same system and point it to a controlfile which is copied from the other instance.
Why can't the same files be shared between the two instances in a same system ?
I know I am thinking a little bit confusing...
Anyway I need to test that also...

It is cross-counties transportation. Part of route outside company country is non-taxable, inside part is taxable. Amounts are proportional to distance and hence become known only at time of invoice receipt.

I need to create a executable program ZPROGRAM with a table having field to store long text.The ALV report should display records according to the selection screen parameters with a icon in each record when clicked should open a new screen with present data in the field and must be able to save the entered long text.
Can any body give me the idea after displaying the simple ALV in the output,
How to open new screen(not the Pop-ups) after single click on the icon,

Seelct query time out for single region

I am currently facing a problem with a report .The problem is in a select query.The report runs successfully when it is run for only more than 1 state but when it is run for single state then it times out.The select query is as given below.

s_regio is the select option for state.Also I feel that for KUNNR the On conditon might cause soem problem becasue it does not involve key fields.

separate the select in several selects. The inner join is not always the best solution.

that will not cause a time-out.
if you want a verry quick program - use tables without heading lines and field symbols with loops with assigning.
It is more to write but the effect is verry good.

Nic, for me the iTunes window looks like this, when I connect my iPad 3:
I select the iPad in the "devices" section of the Sidebar (use: "View > Show Sidebar" if the sidebar is hidden).
Click the "Apps" tab in the "Devices" pane.
Scroll all the way down in the Devices pane to "File Sharing" "Apps" section.
Then do I click "GarageBand" to select the documents in the right panel.
Which part is different for you? Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

Have set up about 6 users mailboxes, 3 public folder in a mailbox for public folders. Only for testing purposes sent some (small) mails, no external mails received (only testing receive with 'popcon' for mail delivery to the internal boxes).
The server (2012 R2) is running only in the internal network (yes, with internet connection for updates).
No virus scanners, not third party receive or send connectors, only the 5 default (3 Frontend, 2 Hub) receive Connectors and one Send Connector to our mail provider set up and no user activity (only sometimes from me for testing).
It seems like it's doing only with itself, logging file sizes of above 11 GB (in 4 weeks), with huge amounts of probing, health checking, internal testing, internal updating etc.
Can this logging be set up to a lower level, can services be deactivated (for single server configuration),
the logging volume should be in a useful relation to the mail use of the server, a message for every self test, internal health check etc. in the log-files normally isn't useful, only when problems occur there is a need...

Between Exchange protocol-based log files, PerfMon .blg files used by Managed Availability, IIS logs, etc., the total footprint can add up quickly and these logs are not purged automatically. You can take a look at this site below and use the powershell
script to clean it up.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to allow multiple users to approve.

No - I think Safari is the only app that can have separate shortcuts (for different sites) on the homescreens. You can only access PDFs by first going into it's owning app.

Twice Accounting Document genrated for single Invoice

Hi,
I have the simple scenario SO-Billing - Accounting
In 1 sales cycle process system genarated 2 accounting document for single invoice.
Test Case
Business partner     20131607             RUDRA DISTRIBUTORS
Document                                                        Date          Overall processing status
E VOUCHER ORDER 9289367                       07.02.09     Being processed

Can any body explain how it happen or what is causes for the same?

Hello,
Please let us know which SAP system version you are currently working on. This is purely a system error. Please cancel the accounting document generated as well as the billing document. Then try to recreate the billing document once again. Hope this would resolve your issue.

Tables for Single-quantity Inspection Lot Results

Hello! I hope someone could help me out on this one:
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed that in an inspection lot, the results of the inspection is stored in the table QASE, but only if the quantity inspected is greater than one. So, my questions are:
1. Which table are the results for single-quantity results are stored?
2. [Optional] Why are the results not stored in the QASE table?

Thank you very much for the response. However, the QAMR table does not contain the data I need that table QASE has, specifically:
Serial number (QASE-SERIALNR)
inspection results (QASE-MESSWERT)
Additional input from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
