Failure code: 9USP33-6G47AJ-MFPX0K-60TA03

Hi,
Error code 9USP33-6G47AJ-MFPX0K-60TA03 does anyone know what this means.
We had been having problems with our HP g6-2215sa notebook running slowly, we did all the usual disk clean-ups and ran the maintenace checks available through the control panel, this however did not solve the problem. The machine then crashed and was displaying a blue screen with error code: Oxc0000001 and on trying to enter the menu available to perform the checks it just freezes and hangs on the HP loading screen.
We had an independent technican look at the machine as it is outside of warranty, they opened it up and immediately spotted a defect, in that a breathing hole in the hard drive (which clearly says 'DO NOT COVER BREATHING HOLE' is covered with a rubber seal), we gather the error code: 9USP33-6G47AJ-MFPX0K-60TA03 is therefore in relation to the hard drive failure and have been unsuccessful in contacting anyone at HP to discuss this, does anyone know the best way to get a response from HP, I have tried thier report form giving my email and have heard nothing from them.
I realise that as the machine is outside of warranty then they feel they have no liability, however I have been advised that with expensive electronic items you should expect some level of longevity, having spent hundreds of pounds buying the machine and the fact that it is less than two years old, you would expect it to last a lot longer before a hard drive failure would render it useless and further money would have to be spent to get the machine up to a working standard again.
We have tried repeatedly to contact HP however we are unable to get a response from anyone. Does anyone know how we can get in touch and get some answers from someone.
Thanks for any advice you can offer.
All the best,
Gotzie4.

Further to this, I think it is worth adding here, that the machine has not had excessive use over this time (possibly no more than two hours a day), nor has there been an overload of downloaded material, it basically was for the purpose of surfing the internet and for my daughter to do her homework on, as most schools now post homework on their websites.
Since posting this I have learned that hard drive failure can be caused by overheating of the hard drive, so thus my thinking is that this rubber seal put in place at manufacture is the most probable cause of this failure. It would be nice to be able to discuss this with HP, however would be useful to know if others with this same model have also had the same problem? Perhaps I missed a recall notice somewhere along the line.
All the best,
Gotzie 4

Sometimes the Adobe servers used for the updates can get busy and it’s necessary to try a couple of times. Also make sure you don’t have a firewall which may be blocking the connection. It sometimes helps to temporarily disable internet security/anti-virus software. Because the Organizer is shared by both programs it often helps to do the PSE update first, followed by the PRE update in that order.
Select the 12.1 update for PSE from the updater dialog and ensure everything else is unchecked. Quit PSE and PRE if you have it running and then start the update.
If PSE updates properly to 12.1 repeat the process for PRE.

• What are the cause and fix for the following error message? NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED failure code: 0x80520015

Every time I close my Firefox browser I receive the following error message (see details below).
FYI:
-- I am running the current version of Firefox.
-- I had no problems with this error message until my computer was recently attacked by 2 viruses:
` SystemFix
` Win7 Antivirus 2012
Both viruses have since been cleaned from my computer. However, I am still receiving this error message.
Here are my questions:
* What are the cause and fix for this problem?
* Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Firefox?
* Is it possible that this error message is related to an add-on and that it has nothing to do with the recent virus attacks?
I look forward to any feedback and support you might be able to provide.
Thanks,

• Hard drive failure codes - please advise

Hi,
HP Dv6 Laptop - Product No.: A7N52EA#ABU. Laptop Serial No. 2CE148345f
I have a 11 month old HP Dv6 Laptop and Just before Christmas 2013, the laptop started experiencing several blue screens saying the hard disk is becoming unstable and also the one blue stop screen which need a hard boot from the on/off button. The laptop will boot to desktop (apart from the blue screens mentioned before), however, it is experiencing very regularly black screens leading to the laptop running extremely slow at start-up and impossible to use sometimes, leading to the laptop hanging with a black screen waiting for the desktop to load which is very frustrating as it used to be very fast and from one day to the next this happened and has remained ever since. I thought it was since several windows updates one night before Christmas 2013....well that's what I thought.
Simple things have become painful to do such as just loading photos or simply copying and than pasting text. I get these hanging delays (but it does do eventually if patient).
So I ran the HP diagnostic tool at start-up with the F2 button and ran both the startup test and hard disk test. The result and this is my concern, is that the hard disk short DST has failed with several failure codes, all similar but slightly different: GTSEL0-6J770R-QFPH4K-60T303, GTSEL0-6J770Q-QFPH4K-60TK03, GTSEL0-6J770S-QFPH4K-60SK03 which are all hard disk failure codes I understand according to failure codes listed in this forum. I tried running the longer advanced hard disk scan but immediately these failure codes appear and says to contact HP with codes.
My question - Is my hard disk at risk of imminent failure and needs replacing with all thats been happening - blue screens rarely / black hanging screens a lot of the time?
I thought my laptop was still under warranty as when I check this on bootup in the bios it says the warranty started in March 2013. I bought the laptop new in Feb 2013 with what i thought was a 12 month warranty off an Ebay seller. However, I run the HP warranty check on this website and it says that it has expired on 10/4/13 which is curious!
Would welcome any assistance or technical advice you can offer me as I don't know what to do next.
Regards
Steve

With DST failures the hard drive definitely needs to be replaced. You will also need Recovery Discs to install your OS and software/drivers. Hopefully you made a set using HP Recovery Manager?
Your laptop has a 750GB hdd and you will need one of at least that capacity in order to use Recovery Discs. Laptop hdds can be purchased quite reasonably and are easy to change.
Your Maintenance & Service Manual will be helpful in replacing the drive.

As far as Warranty- it is hard to determine exact date when purchasing from a third party seller. The warranty may have started when he purchased it for resale.

• Hard Drive and Startup Failure Code(Model: G61-429WM) Notebook

Windows won't start because it is missing a .DLL file. I ran the system diagnostic tests( Hard Drive and Startup) they both gave me the same failure code(UOC7HA-52H74A-XD0021-60X603). When I turn the computer on, it tells me to insert the system disc which I don't have. Please advice. Thank you!

Sounds like the hard drive has failed and will need to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If not a retail laptop SATA hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least equal capacity as the original in order to use Recovery Discs. It can be larger, but not smaller capacity. For instance if you have a 500GB hdd you could use a 750GB hdd but not a 320GB hdd.

• Black Screen After Wakeup / Sleep failure code 0x00000000 0x1f006500

Problem waking up from sleep on my mid-'09 MacBook Pro 5.4 running Lion. Bought new, under 2 years old. Upgraded RAM to 8GB and installed an SSD around Janurary this year. Problem started under Snow Liopard no more than a couple weeks back from today. Searched the web up and down for this, found a lot of people with the exact same issue, and tried quite a few suggestions.
- changed settings to wake up on pressed keyboard instead of lid open
- logged in under a different user
- repaired permissions and checked disk (some permission fail to repair)
- run extensive Apple's hardware test and memtest, together with AppleJack in single user mode (all passed, although Apple hardware test sometimes froze & I had to restart)
- removed all side programs that use kext files, only leaving Google's
- uninstalled istatpro, iAlertU and LittleSnitch
- set not to wake up for bluetooth nor network
- set fast sleep instead of hibernation so that RAM is not written to an SSD
- switched RAM modules around. Sometimes after a hard reset my RAM is cut in half and shows either 4GB or 7.75GB instead of normal 8GB (only the second module slot is displayed as empty)
- removed ethernet network settings (disabling it), restarted & added settings / reenabled it
- SMC, PMU resets
- deleted power management plist file
Haven't tried hibernation when RAM is written to a disk but this is an absolute last resort...
Now trying out the "SmartSleep" program / application.
After every hard reset the login screen freezes (mosue works but no response from the keyboard) so I wait for a few minutes or restart the boot and wait a minute or so again.
My plan now is to find a set of RAM modules somewhere to test and go into an Apple store for a check-up. I had AppleCare transferred from another laptop that expired on March this year. So I am not covered now. So far my Apple laptops haven't been all that reliable, it seems. This one went for nearly two years with no hardware problems - this could be the first one.

All sorts of ways. Nothing here helped. Went into the store and the consensus is a faulty / failed logic board. Although on my first visit I was sent back home because the company doesn't support self installed SSDs, on my second visit Alex and his manager have graciously agreed to replace be part and weave the fee for me despite expired AppleCare. This is great. I am chuffed. Problem solved, hopefully. Thanks to Apple & it's professional and efficient staff.

I think it is because of this version of mozilla firefox 28.0. I read I should downgrade the version to 27, but I have read it is not safety. Will the problem will be resolve? if not I think I should take the risk...

• Repaired ipod still not working, failure code 117

My 5th Generation iPod has been freezing for the passed few months so about a month ago, I sent it in for repair. The iPod came back with a letter saying that there was nothing wrong with it. The AppleCare had expired before I got it back from Apple and when I received it, it was still freezing frequently. I have reset and restored it numerous times before sending it in and after I got it back. When I try turning it on, all I get is an Apple on the screen. I googled this issue and I found something saying that I should try holding menu and center and then menu and previous to get it to go into diagnostics. When I run the automatic diagnostics, I get a message saying:
"Failure code: 117 with 14 fails"
The site I was reading doesn't actually say what the error codes mean. Do you guys have any suggestions.
