Failure ID : OLHKGK-64B78L-MFPX1G-61B703 what does it mean ( pavilion6 with windows 7)

my computer keep sending me this message ( pavilion g6 with windows 7)
HP PC hardware diagnostics UEF1
smart check : passed
long DST :failed
failure ID : OLHKGK-64B78L-MFPX1G-61B703
PRODUCT ID : B3X31EA#ABV
HARD DRIVE :1
could you please tell me what does it mean & how to solve it

The hard drive has failed or is failing fast and will need to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If not a retail laptop SATA hard drive can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least equal capacity as the original in order to use Recovery Discs. It can be larger, but not smaller capacity. For instance  you have a 640GB hdd  so you could use a 750GB hdd but not a 500GB hdd.
Your Maintenance & Service Guide shows how to replace hdd:

  • HP Hard Drive Diagnostic Failure Code VC7C3D-6NF7NV-MFPWWJ-60SJ03 -- What does it mean?

Hello,   I recently used HP diagnostics (freshly updated) to run an extended diagnostic on the hard drive (Samsung/Seagate ST500LM012). The diagnostic failed within the first minute with the following failure code:   Failure Code: VC7C3D-6NF7NV-MFPWWJ-60SJ03   What actions should this failure code be prompting?   I did a search on the web for this rather elaborate failure code, but the search returned nothing. The system boots and runs with no problems, but the hard drive does have some bad blocks that have been recently picked up by "chkdsk /r" and added to the bad cluster file. A lot of device resets were being being logged to the Windows Event Log, issued by "amdsata" to the hard drive (/Device/Raid0), but since upgrading the amdsata driver to the most recent version from AMD's web site a day ago, the errors have stopped. So far as I can tell, everything else seems to be in order.   Any help from someone at HP (who can hopefully look up the failure code) would be very much appreciated.   Thanks,   EAT

the meanings to those codes are not made public and only Apple certified technicians have access to them.

Were you using third-party software when the panic occurred? Is the panic repetitive or it just happened once? IN the latter case it could simply be a software glitch. But if it's repetitive then there's some other problem either hardware or software. Use the Console application in the Utilities folder and review the console log around the time of the panic to see if there are additional clues to the cause of the panic.
The error indicates that the problem was a failure to respond to an interrupt by the CPU. Now this could simply be caused by a software glitch, but it could be a hardware problem related to the CPU. In the latter case the panic would probably become repetitive, in which case you would want to take the computer in for service to be sure the CPU isn't failing.

  • When trying to re-install itunes i get error HRRESULT:0x8007054F what does this mean?

I am useless with technology and desperately need help!  When trying to re-install itunes i get error HRRESULT:0x8007054F what does this mean? I have followed step by step guide to de-install then re-install itunes as instructed when i couldnt connect my new ipad to my computer to synchronise it with my exisiting itunes account initially set up with my ipod. I successfully re-nstalled itunes but it wouldnt open and told me to de-install and re-install again.  This has repeated several times and now i get this error message. I dont know what to do next?

    HRRESULT: 0x8007054F
These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? Are they also 8007054F, or some other number? (If they're another number, what number are you getting?)

  • I have several no title entries in my history.  what does that mean?

I have several "no title" entries in my History.  What does that mean?

    Hello,
If it froze while in use and then brought up a question mark after resetting, this would indicate to me a hard disk drive failure
Your going to require a retail copy of Mac OS X 10.4 or the system disks specific for that model of iBook.
You will need to boot from disk and run the Disk Utility. check and repair your drive if possible or a replacement drive may be required.

    fredericlang,
Your plan sounds good to me, and yes, there could be some "intermittent" hardware failure causing the panics.
Before we go on, I want to establish that you should NEVER have a panic, provided you have three things:
    1) Flawless hardware
    2) A flawless installation (which is why we are "zeroing" and reinstalling)
    3) No bad or conflicting kernel extension
To back this up, I will tell you that I have only had one KP on this machine, it was long ago, and it was due to a disk error (and thus a bad installation). Currently, my "uptime" is at 44 days, 13 1/2 hours, and I put this thing through its paces every day.
OK, well a 4th thing: Problematic peripherals.
Let's rule these out, one by one. Are you connecting anything that could cause panics, or is anything connected when they occur? No? Let's move on.
We are pretty sure we have ruled out a bad installation, and you are going to make double sure. Good.
Are you installing any third-party "haxies," or anything else that might place kernel extensions in the Extensions folder? Are you running the Migration Assistant to transfer stuff from a PPC machine? If you can rule this last one out, we are left with only one possibility...
HARDWARE! As I say, you should never have a single kernel panic. If you have narrowed it down to hardware, and they still occur, be firm! Insist, regardless of the results of any diagnostics, that you have a new machine, or a logic board/memory replacement. If necessary, escalate your case. Get this fixed, and get it fixed expeditiously.

  • What does it mean (and how do I fix) my light is solid amber?

I plugged my Time Capsule in, but the light stays amber - what does this mean and how can I fix it?

Normally on start up, the Time Capsule should flash green for a second, then display solid amber for 15-20 seconds and then...if the settings are correct....the light will turn to green. If there is a problem at this point, the amber light will normally blink slowly.
If the light stays solid amber, this indicates that the Time Capsule has "locked up" and may have possibly experienced an internal component failure.
Power down the Time Capsule for at least 15 minutes
Hold in the reset button and keep holding the reset button in for another 10 seconds as you plug the power back in to the Time Capsule
Release the reset button and see if Time Capsule will go through the normal start up sequence
If you get a slow blinking amber light after approximately 30 seconds, you can now reconfigure the Time Capsule again using AirPort Utility
If you try the factory default reset sequence above a few times and the light remains constant amber, I'm afraid that you'll need to take the Time Capsule to an Apple store to let them have a look.

  • "Driver transmit queue stuck" Error - what does it mean?

My 1231G Cisco on 12.3(7)JA2 is giving me the Critical error message: "Interface Dot11Radio0, failed - Driver transmit queue stuck," I have never seen this before. What does it mean, and can it be resolved? Thanks!

This error means the AP had an radio failure and if had one then it should disconnect the clients at that point. Try upgrading the firmware to the latest. This will resolve this issue.

  • Unknown sender. Failed to retrieve message. What does this mean?

I have a message in my inbox from an unknown sender and the text reads 'failure to retrieve message' what does this mean? Thanks

Hello, About a year ago I bought a Canon MX450 printer & scanner, and I don't think it's ever worked properly. I usually have to reinstall the drivers every couple of uses, and the wi-fi feature has never worked properly so it's always connected to my MacBook Air vis USB in order to print. Today, all of the sudden, the scanner tool started telling me to "Select Area To Scan", instead of actually, you know, scanning. Problem is, I can't find any item in Canon documentaiton (online or otherwise) telling me what the heck that means or what to do about it. Even a Google search is fruitless. Pretty frustrating when a printer/scanner will neither print nor scan properly. Anyone have any clue?

  • I have a cirlce with a line through it at startup.  What does this mean?

I have a circle with a line through it at boot up.  What does this mean?

It means that there is no bootable disk found.  This
could be either a totally corrupted disk or a hardware
    failure.
If you were running OSX 10.7 or 10.8, you could try booting
into the Recovery HD by holding down Command+R at boot
or holding down the Option key and select the Recovery HD
    to boot from.
If doing this also fails, then you likely have a hard disk failure
or perhaps some other hardware issue.

  • MacBook pro repair cancelled? What does this mean?

    Hello!
I got my Macbook pro to the Apple Store to get it repaired due to a logic board failure. The repair status was normal until today that shows that it is cancelled. My MacBook is a preowned Mac core 2 duo mid 2009 and it is out of warranty. what does it mean that it is cancelled?

It is better to call AppleCare and find out.

  • I am receiving internal battery error error numerb 601 asking to replace battery.what does ir mean?

i am receiving internal battery error error numerb 601 asking to replace battery.what does it mean?

Just to be clear, HP Policy is to run the battery check in Windows before replacing the battery.  The 601 error alone is not enough unless you have a non-Windows based laptop (usually SUSE Linux or FreeDOS).  The battery check should return a failure code that the support agent needs to initiate the replacement.

  • GetResponseCode() returns -1,what does it mean

    Hi ,
The HttpURLConnection class's getResponseCode() method returns -1.
getResponseMessage() returns null.i m accessing my servlet through a proxy.i know only about 1xx to 5xx codes.i dont know what does it mean by -1.But at server side the request is properly sent and processed and i m getting 200 and ok after processing at serverside. the object is sent to client also. but it is not received by the client.
Null object is returned.I think proxy is the culprit. If anyone can help me what -1 means,it will be really greatfull to diagnoise my issue in detail and solve my problem soon.
    Your help will be greatfull.
    Thanks

As it says perfectly clearly, right there in the API documentation for the method:
"Returns -1 if no code can be discerned from the response (i.e., the response is not valid HTTP)."
