Failure of multiple bridges

Hi -
OK I've had a site up and running for about 1 month, there are 4 buildings over the span of about 2 miles. One of the buildings has 2 bridges in it because of the distance required for the last hop (about 1.25 miles). So one of those 2 bridges keeps failing (not the long hop one). The first one, seemed to have lost it's power. The second one (the spare) lost it's radio, and now a third one (the one that had been on the long hop) is now starting to act flacky (dropping connections, unresponsive, unable to locate any other devices and so on) So, my question to you is this - is this an antenna problem? And if so, just what do I need to do to test it, I really don't want to hook up another bridge and have it go down too.
Your advice and assistance is appreciated.
Thanks,

Two failures and the third one was flaky?
The UPS was a good idea, but you might also check temperature and humidity.
And don't forget about lightning protection for outdoor antennas.

  • Multiple bridge galleries in dreamweaver

ok, i have searched & not come across anything that has worked. i need multiple galleries i have created in bridge cs5 put on my site. i understand that each index or whatever i change the name to needs to be in it's own folder. but what about the resources folder? the xml files are exclusive to the thumbs & images sizes & also the index file. . . .so, i have 10 resource folders & not sure how to get it all working.
bad thing is, i cannot even load the plain html file & get it to read from the resource folder online. offline, i can get it to do everything i want. . . is there soemthing i am missing?
i do not require embedding the gallery, i can do that, i just need it to work ONLINE live in multiple galleries when someone wants to thumb through each link. any ideas or help MUCH appreciated.

OK, so you have 10 galleries.  For this discussion, let's call them:
    Bridge1
    Bridge2
    Bridge3
    Bridge4, etc...
And inside each Bridge folder you have an index.html page, assorted images, thumbnails, xml files, etc...
On your main site page, you need to put some links to the various Bridge Gallery folders like so.
    <a href="Bridge1/index.html">Link to Bridge1</a>
    <a href="Bridge2/index.html">Link to Bridge2</a>
    <a href="Bridge3/index.html">Link to Bridge3</a>
    <a href="Bridge4/index.html">Link to Bridge4<a>
    etc...
Upload your main site page plus the various Bridge folders to your remote server.
Come back and post a link to your main site page so we can take a look at it.

  • Can single interface accomodates multiple bridge groups

    Hi,
I am working on building FW configuration to serve multiple tier environment. The FW is in Transparent Mode, Sw Ver 8.4 which supports Bridge-group.
My question is, whether FW supports having mutilple Bridge-groups under single interface. If not, what are the alternatives.
    firewall transparent
    interface gi0/0
    nameif outside
    security-level 0
    bridge-group-1
    bridge-group-2
    interface gi0/1
    nameif WebServers
    security-level 50
    bridge-group-1
    interface e0/2
    nameif AppServers
    security-level 100
    bridge-group-2
    Thanks

    Hello,
That is not possible, Each interface will need to be assigned to a specific bridge group..
Alternative would be to use a dedicated pair of interfaces for each bridge group

  • Help! Multiple Bridge Web Photo Galleries in my site

RunI am in need of some help and I posted this in Bridge and didn't get an answer.
I have a website and I used bridge to make my photo galleries. I downloaded the photo galleries bridge made into two different temporary folders outside of dreamweaver and then changed the name from index.html to "deck.html" (photos of a deck we built) and "of.html" (photos of an outdoor fireplace we built). Everything worked fine. I copied the deck.html file and the resources folder into my site folder and then linked a thumbnail of the deck to the deck.html file. Everything worked fine and the gallery loaded.
Now, I know that I can't put the resources folder into my site of the of.html gallery due to the same name so I changed it to resources2. I then put the of.html and resources2 folder into my site folder. I then checked the code to find where it was pointing to the resources folder to change it to resources2. This is what i did:
    changed <script src=resources... to <script src=resources2...
I then linked a thumbnail of the outdoor fireplace to the of.html, but the deck.html gallery loaded
I am assuming that I am not changing the code correctly to link to the group.xml file which contains the images to load and the other files in my resources2 folder. When the link is clicked it loads the original deck.html gallery and I thought that somewhere in the AC_RunActiveContent.js it must be linking to the resource folder and not the resouces2 folder. I have searched through all the files in the resources2 folder and the of.html and I can't find where to change the code.
Please, any help would be appreciated. Also, if there is some other way to do this let me know.

Maybe I can explain this better....
the group.xml file has the information for what images to load. When previewing the outdoor fireplace web gallery "of.html" it loads the "deck.html" web gallery. I believe this is because in one of the files it is requesting the info from the group.xml file from the resourses folder. I need to find where the code is that directs it to the group.xml and change it to group2.xml and rename that group.xml file for "of.html" to group2.xml in the resourses2 folder.

  • ASA 5585-X multiple bridge-groups expected behaviour

    Hi all,
suppose a deploy of an asa5585-x in transparent mode made by two bridge-groups (2 interfaces each).
Now suppose that a new traffic flow in direction north-south traverses the bvi1. What's the expected behavior if the traffic going back (south-north) will traverse the bvi2? Will be that traffic correctly recognized as part of the flow previously detected?
    Regards.
    A.M.

Discovered today that the 'fix' I mention above is more of a workaround, because when I initiated a manual failover for one of the failover groups, the alerts returned. And the failover status was again on Normal (Waiting) for a couple of monitored logical interfaces.
I was able to workaround the problem as described above.

  • Multiple hard drive failures on multiple mid-2012 13" macbook pros

I have a mid-2012 13" MacBook Pro (500GB hard drive), which is actually the third one I've owned in two years. The hard drive on my first laptop failed and was replaced at least five times (I lost count) before Apple agreed to just replace the machine after about a year and a half. Thinking that was the end of it, I was unpleasantly surprised when the second machine's hard drive failed after just a month. Luckily, Apple was willing to replace it right away since it had only been a month. Now it's been about four months since I've gotten my third laptop, and its hard drive has just failed.
At this point, it seems like the problem is something I'm doing, but I don't see how that's possible - I don't handle my laptop any differently than the average college student, and many of my friends who own MacBooks haven't had this issue. I don't have above average knowledge of computers, and Apple representatives haven't offered any solutions aside from just replacing the hard drive, so I know that that's exactly what they're going to do if I take it to the Genius Bar again. I know enough to see that the issue isn't the hard drive, and I'm so fed up now that I just want to get rid of this laptop altogether. Does anyone know of anything that could be causing the problem, and is there anything else I can do?

The range of reported problems using an external monitor or projector and the mid-2012 MBP is dizzying. The only way I've found to use an external monitor is to shutdown and plug the monitor in prior to rebooting. Any attempt to attach a monitor (or projector) after I'm up and running fails. All the trashing of plist files, resetting PRAM, etc etc. doesn't solve anything.
And turn off energy savings. If my MBP goes to sleep, it won't find the external monitor when waking. I have to reboot again.
Bush league problems. Our only encouragement is that it appears to be a software issue, since booting into Windows solves the problem. So we can hope for a fix. I'm pretty disgusted with Apple here. They've had a lot of time to fix this since 10.8 was released. I've been an exclusive Apple user since 1984. But as they've gotten fat and sassy, their quality control and responsive service has sunk. I can put up with their secretive, non responsive approach if things get fixed. But if they don't, they're headed for the ash heaps.

I've restarted my computer in here a few times, switched USBs etc. Any advice as to what I'm doing wrong?
    *EDIT*
Note, most of these errors occur on verify with Apple, the shift+restore to 4.2.1 fails while preparing.

The 3194 error appears to have something to do with the digital signature of the OS file that you downloaded. I found this "fix" that people use to downgrade their OS, no reason why it shouldn't work for the upgrade too.
    * 1) First navigate to “c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\” and open the ‘hosts’ file in notepad. To do so, right click on the file and select Open With->Notepad. At the end of the document, add this string “74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com”.
    * 2) Now connect your iPhone to iTunes in recovery mode. To do so, first switch off your device. Then press the Home button on your handset and connect the USB cable. As soon as you connect the USB cable, the device will boot up and a “Connect To iTunes” screen will be displayed. Users can now stop pressing the Home button.
    * 3) Fire up iTunes now. You will see your iPhone/iPod Touch detected in recovery mode. Now, whilst pressing the Shift key for Windows users or Alt key on the Mac platform, click on the Restore option.
    * Now just select the original OS x.x.x and voila, you are done. Now you can again enjoy OS x.x.x on your iTouch device.

  • Xen Bridge for multiple NICs?

I seem to be having some trouble getting accurate information of configuring multiple bridges in Xen. Some of the threads I have read imply that unbrakable linix does this be default but that is not the case. I have two NICs in the server setup to two seperate segments:
    eth0 = 192.168.42.X
    eth1 = 192.168.10.X
both are configured with static IPs and from domain0 I have good conectivity.
For some reason I only have one bridge which is br1 attached to eth1 on the 10 segment. I found a how to document off this site for Red Hat 5.1 in order to add another bridge manualy but the proceedure failed. At this point all changes are backed off and every thing is working. I admit I am rather new with linux and still trying to come up to speed.
The goal is to have two bridged NIC configs on several of the hosted Windows servers:
    eth0 = 192.168.42.X
    eth1 = 192.168.10.X
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I found this solution off site. A very simple and elegant solution... Work like a champ now.... Thanks for the tips.
    - In /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts of dom0 , Configure eth0, eth1 and eth3 with appropriate network details.
    - Edit /etc/xen/xend-config.sxp, comment out Line 91 by putting a # in the beginning of the line and add the below line after that.
    (network-script network-custom)
    - Crate /etc/xen/scripts/network-custom with the below contents in it and give it 755 permission.
    #!/bin/bash
    /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge $1 netdev=eth0 bridge=xenbr0 vifnum=0
    /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge $1 netdev=eth1 bridge=xenbr1 vifnum=1
    /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge $1 netdev=eth2 bridge=xenbr2 vifnum=2
    - Reboot your system.
    - Now you should have xenbr0, xenbr1 and xenbr2 configured properly on your host system. Run "brctl show" to see details.
Now if you want to start a guest with three virtual interfaces, Edit the guest configuration file in /etc/xen/≤guest name> and change vif= parameter as below.
    vif = [ "mac=00:16:3e:7b:0e:a4,bridge=xenbr0,script=vif-bridge","mac=00:16:3e:7b:0e:a5,bridge=xenbr1,script=vif-bridge" ,"mac=00:16:3e:7b:0e:a6,bridge=xenbr2,script=vif-bridge"]
This would create three virtual ethernet interfaces - eth0, eth1 and eth2 - in the guest where eth0 would be bridged to xenbr0, eth1 to xenbr1 and eth2 to xenbr2. Then configure these virtual interfaces in the guest as you usually do with a physical system. If eth0, eth1 and eth2 in dom0 are connected to separate subnets and if you configure these three virtual ethernets in the guest to obtain their ip addresses from dhcp, then they should have obtained an ip address from the respective dhcp servers when you restart network service in the guest. Please make sure that the mac address you assign is unique.
The above vif = entry is for a para-virtualized guest. If it's a fully virtualized guest, it should be as below.
    vif = [ 'type=ioemu, mac=00:16:3e:04:98:04, bridge=xenbr0','type=ioemu, mac=00:16:3e:04:98:05, bridge=xenbr1','type=ioemu, mac=00:16:3e:04:98:06, bridge=xenbr2' ]

  • Crashing in multiple apps

For the past week I've had multiple failures in multiple apps. Most frequently Pandora but also other apps.
    Any advice?

It's likely the not a fix you can just do. You'll probabaly need an App Update from the App Store - but sometimes it's just caused by low internet/wifi connectivity (ie: Splashtop needing a stronger connection, results in a crash). You can always report the bugs to the developers, they'll appreciate that.

  • How to Configure Selector For JMS Bridge

    Hi,
I was trying with Selector option in working with multiple Bridges, here is the scenario i applied.
    Created five Queues ( Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4 and Q5 ) and configured JMS Bridge Destinations having each queue with unique connection factory ( CF1, CF2, CF3, CF4 and CF5 ) and named it as D1, D2, D3, D4 and D5.
Then created JMS Bridges as JB2 with source as D1 and destination as D2. Similarly JB3 as D1-D3, JB4 as D1-D4 and JB5 as D1-D5.
And set Sector for each of JB2, JB3, JB4 and JB5 as Two, Three, Four and Five respectively and did restart after the changes.
Now i am expecting the following scenario to work
Pushing message to Q1/CF1 having Two in the content of message, hence expecting the message to be delivered to Q2/CF2 through JB2, but the messages is not moved through JB2.
Similarly, Pushed message to Q1/CF1 having Three in the content of message, hence expecting the message to be delivered to Q3/CF3 through JB3, but the messages is not moved through JB3. Similar behavior for other messages having Four and Five in the message content.
During the bridge configuration, selected QOS as "Atmost-Once".
Note: All the configurations were done in same domain and the WL version is 10.3.6.0.*
The sample message i am pushing to Q1/CF1 say "Two Test Data"* and expecting to reach Queue Q2/CF2

    Hi Venkata,
The expected selector syntax is the standard SQL-like JMS syntax. There's an extensive description of the syntax in the javadoc for javax.jms.Message.
Selectors should normally only reference message header fields and message properties. I don't normally recommend using a selector that is based on message body as this requires using a proprietary WebLogic extension based on "xpath" XML expressions, and can have an large impact on performance. (The performance hit is caused by two factors - the need for the JMS server to unmarshal/decompress/page-in the body in order to get at its contents, and the natural cost of scanning a message body to see if it matches a string.)
    HTH,
    Tom

  • Cannot get Bridge to run

I just installed Prod Prem CS6 on my laptop.  I cannot get Adobe Bridge to run.  I can run After Effects and Photoshop.  I tried to start Bridge as an Administrator, but that did not work.

Alan, do you get any error message, while running BR CS6? If so, error screenshot would help.
Could you check if you have multiple Bridge processes running at the same time in Task Manager. If so, end those processes and check again.

  • Advantage of Messaging Bridge

              Hi,
We are using WebLogic as our application server. We want to send JMS messages
to an external MQSeries listener. And we also want the JMS listener within WebLogic
can received JMS messages sent by MQSeries. Besides using Messaging Bridge, we
can also use MQSeries classes within WebLogic JVM. For example, we can create
an MQSeries message listener inside WebLogic.
Could anyone tell us what the advantage of using Messaging Bridge instead of MQSeries
              classes?
              Thanks.
              Ye Chen

    1) MQ, of course, can not understand a WL dest as a target. To accomplish
this, encode an MQ destination into a message property (and not ReplyTo), have the MQ
side respond to this MQ destination, and bridge from the MQ response dest
into a WL response dest. Alternatively to the bridge, encode a WL dest
into the property and have the MQ side use the WL client library directly.
              2) If your WL client needs to post synchronous receives into
MQ land, what is preventing you from directly using the MQSeries JMS client
libraries to do this? Just treat it like any other MQ client.
A bridge solution improves high-availability, as the MQ side
need not be up 100% of the time for the WL side to function, but your app
may not need this. A bridge solution also is helpful in handling the
cross-vendor transactions, if you need exactly once, but again, you
can do this on your own...
