  • Handling Network failure during data transfer from ECC to PI

    Hi,
We have created a custom program in ECC to push invoice header information to PI using the proxy call.
We're able to successfully now push these data to PI without any issues.
However, there is a comment from client like if there is an unexpected error such as system or network failure during transferring data from ECC to PI, then how is it being handled from ECC side?
I'm left with no answers. I know the messages will be stucked in SMQ2 or SMQ1 but we need to find out how can resend those data to PI in case of such failures. Documents in ECC are either posted or parked or payment totally based on real time process and based on each ECC event such as parked or posted or reveresed, we are sending one message to PI respectively. But how can we resend these invoices incase of an unexpected error?
If we go with an ad hoc process, how do we implement this process for each document which is being created or rejected.
    Thanks,
    Shamim

    Hi,
The queue will automatically restart if the problem was connection issue. In case of system failure you need to check and start them manually.

  • Failure to retrieve data from the database (Vendor Code 6550)

I am having a trouble with two of the 6 reports that I have created. I am using Crystal XI and Oracle 10g. The underlying database object is a stored procedure that accepts as input a start time as a TIMESTAMP, an end time as a TIMESTAMP and a furnace number as a number. I have a cursor ref as a return parameter.
When I run the stored procedure in Oracle I get the selected records and can view them on the screen.
When I refresh data on the report in Crystal XI developer, the designer asks me for the start and end time and furnace number. When I input these values the report displays properly.
When I launch the report from my VB .NET 2005 application I am asked for the username and the password for the database (this is another problem I need to solve as this information I put into the program seems to be ignored in my program) then I receive the following failure message:
Failure to retrieve data from the database (Vendor Code 6550)
When I launch the other reports, they only ask me for the username and password then they display the proper data.
The main difference between my other reports and the two that are returning the above failure code is that the other reports are to either tables or views. The two that don't work are tied to stored procedures. I there any way that I can solve this problem or at least get more information?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need any other information.

I have a similar problem, the only difference is that the crystal report error is only thrown when I try to load the sub reports at my web application. When I deploy my report to the Web application the main report loads up fine but when I try to launch the sub reports from the main report it can no longer load.
But when I use the Crystal report developer I am able to load the main report and it's associated sub reports without any issues.
My issue only occurs when I try to load the sub report in the web application. The following sections shows how my reports look like both in my .NET web application and also at the Crystal Report Development IDE.
Failure: Loading my Reports from .NET Web Application
    1) When I load from the web application I am able to load the main report as per the print screen below.
    2) When I try to click on the hyper links to enter the sub reports I am now able to load them, both sub reports cannot load and will throw the same error "

  • Jfmerge: [240]Failure loading colour palette from form file.

    Hi All,
I need your help. I am new to JetForm and have to use it because of my work. Recently I have been assigned a task which is to amend an existing form, however, when I opened it with the JetForm Designer, it prompted me with message #4043 with following information:
The current settings for Symbol Set handling are different
from when the form was last saved.
    Form: Convert is Yes,950,950
    Current: Convert is Yes,1252,850
I skipped the warning message and just compile the MDF file directly without any changes. Then, I just got the "jfmerge: [240]Failure loading colour palette from form file." error message during the printing process. May I know how could I fix it? Please help and advise.
    Thanks,
    Charoite

    Hello,
I have exactly same problem than you while opening an existing .ifd file :
The current settings for Symbol Set handling are different from when the template was last saved.
    Template : Convert is No,936,850
    Current : Convert is N0,1252,850
I suppose it is due to chinese characters (Simsun font) bad installed on my desktop, but it is only hypothesis.
Did you achieve to avoid this message since 05/2011 ?

  • Hard drive failure - how to boot from replacement?

the hard drive in my Mac Mini has become unbootable - I've gone through all the options suggested in Apple support docs including trying to boot from install disk.  I don't get a startup screen to select where to boot from, jus the gray spinning gear.  I fear the drive is dead.  It was preceeded by strange behavior of permissions.  Most of what I read is advice on installing a replacement drive but copying info from the old.  How does one create a new bootable drive?  I'm thinking of replacing the hard drive with SSD. Thanks Rich

AHT (apple-hardware-test), at least on 10.9-era macs, seems to do *no* tests at all of the hard-driver or SSD. You have to use other testing methods, to run SMART long and short self-tests of SSD and HD as detailed below, and google is your friend.
    === Details ===
For AHT: Power-off. Hold-down "option" and "d" keys, and keep holding them down while you power on. After a minute or two it will boot Apple Hardware Test from internet, at least for 10.9-era hardware. Use a network cable if you can. With known-bad or missing hard-drives, the AHT still says "no problems found".
For example, I have had 3 new macs in 3 weeks that all have hard-drives that always report "read-failure" to SMART tests. The Apple Hardware Test apparently does NOT do any testing of hard-drive(s) at all. Not only did say "No problems found" with the bad-drive(s), if you remove the hard-drive completely it still reports "No problems found"!  You may want to run some long SMART tests on hard-drive(s) weekly, even if they are brand new... the 3 that failed on me were different brands from different stores: all reported "read-failure" in around 30 hours. So I conclude that consumer-drives have very poor quality... in effect, the end-user is doing the QA tests by using the drive as apparently little QA goes on at factory. And/or the shipping folks are really throwing those things around hard.
To run SMART tests on a mac, you can "brew install smartmontools" and "brew install gsmartcontrol". Or if you are not a command-line person, you can get a 14-day trial of Drive-DX disk-health tester (looks like ja smartctl-gui-wrapper) from:
http://binaryfruit.com/drivedx They also have a links to a SMART-SAT driver that lets you run smart tests on almost any newer usb-enclosed HD or SSD. Nice
If mac won't boot at all from disk, you can rescue/recover by booting from usb or live-cd such as gparted-live-cd/usb  (which boots most intel macs as it has the guid bootability):
    http://www.ehow.com/how_8505863_boot-gparted-cd-mac.html
PartedMagic is really nice and boots every intel mac I've tried it on, but is no longer free. Right on desktop is "Disk Health" (which runs gsmartcontrol). Also has ddrescue, testdisk, photorec, etc. Sees HFS+ just fine.

  • ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure while calling procedure from VC++

    hi all,
i am writing stored procedures and calling these from vc++. I have one stored procedure in that all
in and out perameters are numeric. When i am calling these procedure i am able to get the values properly. But in another procedure one in perameter is varchar and one out perameter is varchar. When i am calling these procedure from vc++ the error i am getting is "ORA-12571: TNS:packet writer failure". I test my vc++ code on different computers but its giving the same errors. I think ora-12571 error is when i can't communicate with oracle. But other stored procedures(in and out perameters are numbers) and sql statements are running properly. Only these stored procedure which has in and out perameters as varchar is giving me the above said problem. My out perameter in this procedure strtax is of type varchar and the length 100. Is it the problem. Please suggest me how to over come this problem.
    thanks in advance,
    with regards

  • "Catastrophic Failure" trying to export from Crystal Reports Explorer v10.5

In using Crystal Reports Explorer v10.5 (add on to Crystal Enterprise v10) I am trying to export just over 211k records to MS Word.
The data is coming from a Business View (created in Business View Manager) that uses an OLEDB connection to an Oracle database.
I get the following error message:
    CrystalReportVIewer
    Error caught in ICrystalReportGridViewerImpl::render
    webReporting.dll '0x80004005'
    Catastrophic failure
    line: 16031
I have no idea what's causing this or how to resolve it.  Can anyone assist?  Thank you!!
Edited by: AmberDoreen on Mar 21, 2009 2:03 AM

No - it doesn't work with any of the viewers and the same error occurs.    I think we've determined that it's due to the amount of data and the % of resource allocation in order to export the results.  The query behind the data is pretty complex, and the Oracle views that are being accessed are also pretty beefy.  It's just a huge hit on resources.  I've advised my client to provide more filters & reduce the amount of returned rows to see if that clears things up.  I'm waiting to hear if they are successful.  Thanks for responding, though!  I'll update once I hear from the client.

  • Failure when extracting data from R/3

We have many InfoPacjkages running business content extractors from R/3 into PSA  Occaisonally these extracts fail with the following message:
Non-updated Idocs found in Source System
    Diagnosis
IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not updated.
    Processing is overdue.
    Error correction:
Attempt to process the IDocs manually. You can process the IDocs manually using the Wizard or by selecting the IDocs with incorrect status and processing them manually.
The failure appears to be caused by the extract job in R/3 not starting, no job BIREQU* in SM37.
When this situation occurs the BW job waits a lenth of time, in our case approximately 8 hours, before going red.
Does anyone else suffer this kind of issue and if so is there any way in reducing the time elapsed before BW errors?

    Hi Terry,
you can reduce BW job waits a lenth of time at Infopackage level.
RSA1-> select you infopackage -> Schedule (menu) -> Timeout time -> Maximum wait time for this infopackage (here you can se 1 or 2 hrs).

  • Failure: Exchange regional Text from ECC to CRM (regional structure)

    Hi all,
we exchange the Employee from ECC (HR) to CRM and we have very often failure because of the potal code text in CRM is different and therefore it will not be exchanged and stayes in the queue.
(The function module is called: HRALXSYNC - the job is called ZS_ZN_120_T:HRALXSYNC = is a copy of the original job ...)
A colleague told me there is a regional structure which must be set up identical in both systems. I do not no were I need to search for this settings for the correct postal code text - regional exchange ?
    Do you have any ideas?
    Best regards, Ann

    Dear Denis,
    thank you for your replay
The challenge is that we have a list of 100 employees which could not be assigend because the system check against the regional structure wich is activated by country and it seems not unique (HR -CRM). That means simply in SAP HR the name of the place called Schlieren bei Köniz and SAP CRM the Name of the place called Schlieren b. Köniz, therefore the record will not be exepted, this is the list of failure in CRM:
#5517#5Ort Schliern in country CH not exist
#5517#5Ort Rohr AG in country CH not exist
#5517#5Ort Muri b.Bern in country CH not exist
    ... so on ...
I have checked the entry in the table T005 -> SPRO: Set country-specific checks
and for country CH is field "City file active" set in both systems (HR and CRM)
    - > but maybe, this is the problem? Do you have any ideas?

  • Failure to wake up from disk suspended hybernation

    Hello everybody,
when running my MacBook Pro (8,2) is so low on battery that it suspends to disk before poweroutage, it fails to wake up correctly. What happens is this:
Battery running low, suspension to disk runs, MacBook Pro is sleeping. Battery indicator on the left side links when pressed.
After attaching power cord, MacBook Pro wakes up fine, asks for my password (FileVault2 is running).
Then the bar on the bottom of the screen shows up, indicating that it reads the hybernation suspension file.
This progress always goes to the last but one part of the bar. Then it stops and the chime is heard that I only know from my Mac if it can not start up because of a hardware test failure (like wrong RAM installed).
Then I have to force it to turn off by pressing the power button 5 seconds.
After that, it starts normally, and all apps that have been running before the battery when out, are restored.
pmset -g just after such an incident (with power cord attached) will give these informations:
    Active Profiles:

  • Bug: Failure to Send emails from Contacts after 8.2 update

After updating to iOS 8.2 sending emails from Contacts may fail.  I can consistently get the following failure on multiple iPad/iPhone devices:
Open Contacts, select any contact with a valid email address field, select the email address, and a “New Message” window will open.  Type in any subject and the “Send” text will turn blue – this is as it should be. Select “Cancel”, “Delete Draft”.
Return to Contacts.  Once again, select any contact with a valid email address field, select the email address, and a “New Message” window will open. Enter any “Subject” text.  The “Send” text will never turn blue and you will never be able to send an email from the Contacts.
The only way to once again send an email from Contacts is to end the email app.
This problem did not occur before iOS 8.2.

Others have seen it an reported as well.

  • General Failure - Running DBASE App from Netware on Windows

    Hi all,
Our company database is coded in DBASE 5 and is hosted on Novell Netware 6.5 servers.
Our users have always used MS DOS PC's with the novell client to run the application but recently we have began testing the application running under windows XP CMD prompt after connecting using Novell Client.
For the most part everything works however we are experiancing a problem on XP that doesn't exist when run on the MS DOS PC's.
Basically when the app tries to run the DBASE USE / FILE commands on a file that the user doesn't have access too a general failure (CANCEL, IGNORE, RETRY) is shown. Strangely if the user hits CANCEL / IGNORE the correct result is returned e.g. FILE returns .F.
The above problem doesn't occur on MS DOS!
After testing it seems that the windows PC somehow 'knows' the file is there and tries to access it and then fails - could this be the case?
Other windows commands such as DIR / MOVE etc return "A device attached to the system is not functioning"
Any ideas on any settings we can change to prevent this from happening?
    Thanks

The reason why you cannot access it is because another client has opened
it and has exclusive access to it. In the old days you had to flag such
files as "shareable" with the flag command, but I have not had to use that
    for decades..

  • Failure to step back from Yosemite to Mavericks

I can see a lot of issues here with Yosemite, but not my two:
    1) Canon Isensys MF8380Cdw driver fails to print "Filter failure", even after re-installing the Mac driver.  Canon do not support Yosemite.
    2) Avid Pro-Tools has major problems (Blank dropdown menus but probably more). I wish I had see the advice on the Avid site not to install Yosemiite.
cmd R only offers Yosemite restore.
Anyway I tried Alt Cmd R boot to install Mavericks from the web.
This failed three times.  First time it said validation of the download failed. The second and third failure (after two hours download each) did not say what the failure was, but presented the log.
A vast amount of data there, but no way to save "You do not have permission" .  Mightily odd as it presented the root folder.  Navigation presented few options - basically just the SSD, which said I didn't have permission again!   Ah  - I should have tried plugging in a USB drive.
I am now re-installing Yosemite - from scratch via cmd r - so the FIVE downloads are probably approaching 15GB!
Any suggestions, before I try again, and use up even more of my broaddband allowance (8-)#

Best you do it this way:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
After DU loads select your newly installed hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
This should restore the version of OS X originally pre-installed on the computer. Now, you should try installing Yosemite.
