Failure to log in to INTERNAL workspace as ADMIN

Hello,
I have an oracle 11.1.0.6 database installation where apex is also installed and configured.
I had used it quite some time back but today when I tried to log in to default INTERNAL workspace with user as ADMIN,
it is always giving me "Invalid Login credentials" message. Searching on web led me to run @apxxepwd.sql in order to change the
password for ADMIN. While the password change was successful, I am still not able to log into APEX.
Can somebody help please?

You might do 2 things.
First look at your Applications -> Utilities -> Console to see if there are any errors related to your connection failure in your MacBook Pro logs.
Second, look at the server's logs to see if has anything say about why it refused your connection attempt.

Internal workspace in Oracle11XE

Hi All,
I have installed Oracle11XE on our server. It has inbuilt APEX so no need for any separate installation. I was able to create new workspace and set the credentials for the same.
But, now how to I know what's the default password for INTERNAL workspace.. Also, not sure if it actually exists...
Mainly I am looking for an option to enable users to upload files in APEX...(ryt not application does not store any files) i read somewhere that it can be done by some setting change in internal workspace... let me know if der is other way too

Hi InoL, I did not logged in earlier using Admin account. In Oracle11XE, APEX is already inbuilt.... What i did was....
1> launched 'Getting Started'.
2> Logged in using SYS user.
3> Last tab shows APEX page..
4> Created new workspace and assigned it username and pwd (it actually never asked anything other then SYS credentials)...

Eror when altering altering SOURCE_IDENTIFIER in INTERNAL workspace

Hello,
When trying to change "Feedback Synchronization Source Identifier" in internal workspace I get following error:
ORA-20505: Error in DML: p_rowid=1475226386029271, p_alt_rowid=ID, p_rowid2=, p_alt_rowid2=. ORA-12899: value too large for column "APEX_040000"."WWV_FLOW_COMPANIES"."SOURCE_IDENTIFIER" (actual: 14, maximum: 8)
Error processing row of table WWV_FLOW_COMPANIES.
Return to application.
Of course I know what it means but maybe for future releases this can be adjusted..

OSD Failed to bind - Can't find failure in logs

I have one model computer that is failing to bind, it pxe's, loads image & app, just not bind. When i look at the BDD.log log I seem to have a 5 minute gap where nothing gets logged between the 'ztisetbackground' step and the 'ZTIGather' step.

The smsts.log & smsts timestamped.log does not seem to contain all the log information which is weird, it only contains about 3 minutes of timestamped logs.....

Any Thoughts? All other OSD, same TS, bind properly just not this one. I have ensured the latest drivers are avaliable for this model PC.....

Have you looked at the netsetup.log in
C:\Windows\debug? Also, take a look at setupact.log and setuperr.log in C:\Winodws\Panther (see

Make sure the account specified for joining the domain has the proper permissions also.

Can not able to log into the BPM workspace ?

Hi All,
I am using ALBPM 5.7 enterprise server and deployed my project into the enterprise server.
After the deployment when I tried to log into the workspace it is not taking any of the password.
PS: Before deployment I never tried to login to the workspace since I do not have user id for the project.
There are users in the participant wizard and I even tried to reset the password of existing user but it is still not working. I even tried to create a new participant but still it is not taking the password for the same user.
Is it like the new password/participant will get active only after certain time interval say 24 hrs.
But this is not the case of ALBPM 6.0 as far as my knowledge is concern.
Can somebody let me know where I made anything wrong.
If somebody has BPM administration document (Password Reset/Create participant in 5.7), please let me know.

It sounds like you are trying to log into the workspace with the admin user..... not a participant.
The participants need to be set up in the Process Administrator, (which you will log in via the admin user / pass that was created for the engine).

Failure to log in to network server due to an "error"?

I'm having trouble connecting as a user to the office server from my MacBook Pro. When I attempt to log in to the server it loads for about 30 seconds and then simply says it failed to log in because of an "error", without giving me a number to reference the error. Other IMacs in the office have no trouble connecting under their usernames so I am lead to believe it is a client problem with my laptop... Any advice on what to adjust in my settings to fix this error?

You might do 2 things.
First look at your Applications -> Utilities -> Console to see if there are any errors related to your connection failure in your MacBook Pro logs.
Second, look at the server's logs to see if has anything say about why it refused your connection attempt.

Log file (access.log) of the internal ITS

Hello,
anybody know how to access the logfiles of the internal ITS. In particularly im looking for the log file access.log which you had for the external ITS accessable over the ITS admin page http://<servername>/scripts/wgate/admin/!
The log file loged all users and the transaction they accessed over the time in the format

Cannot log into Business Process Workspace using Custom Authenticator

Hello,
I have set-up a SQLAuthenticator on my WL10.3.5 and defined a number of users which can successfully login to console and em.
My problem is that these users are not able to login to Oracle BP workspace.
Note 1: Control flags are all set to sufficient (In addition to DefaultAuthenticator I have only the custom SQLAuthenticator in providers list).
Note 2: Ordering of Authenticators is: SQLAuthenticators, DefaultAuthenticator
Note 2: user 'weblogic' can login to workspace without any problem.
Any help would greatly be appreciated as this problem has taken more than a week of my time.

1. I hope workspace you are refering is: http://soahost:soaport/bpm/workspace.
2. User "weblogic" can login. And I hope he can see adminstrator link on top right hand corner etc.
3. Others Users say "userxyz" CANNOT login. NOW what do you mean with this. What Error do they get.
a) Does it say invalid username/password. If so, check the user account and verify the details.
b) Do they login, BUT do NOT see any link on Left Side to initiate a new instance. If so, is this User in the Role of Initiator. See below notes
NOW, what application is Deployed and what exactly are you trying to test
1. For any BPM Application, you will have a Start Node and End Node. Usually there will be a first Human Task (generally but not always) who can Instantiate or create a new prrocess Instance. And there are Swimlanes where we put all Tasks.
2. Then we map these Swimlanes to bunch of Users or AD Groups or Roles etc etc. Quick test is, create some users in Default Authenticator itself like weblogic1, weblogic2, weblogic3 etc and map these Users to these Roles.
3. If you have EXTERNAL Authenticator, that is also fine. This is how most of the times. Within JDeveloper itself, for Each Role you can Map users or groups from this External Authenticator. this means your application should be deployed and SOA Server is Up and Running. Only theny you can fetch the list of users and groups. Generally I do NOT recommend this. Do not do any mapping at JDeveloper side.
4. Instead, after you Deploy your application say to bpmDomain1. Go to EM Console and there under application BPMProcessRoles, map the application roles to each User or AD Group from your SQL Authenticator. See docs for detailed steps.
In EM Console, if you do NOT see your Swimlanes or Roles thats ok. You should see them by default after deployment. If not, create manually Each Role and name should Match exactly with what you gave in JDeveloper BPM Application. Find it under Organization.xml file under your soa project folder. And for each Role map users or ad groups. Also, Initiator Role should have a Human Task of type like Initiator.
So have you done anyof the above things. But most important, what Errors or Exceptions are you facing. Look at the log files and specially the output file or log where you start your soa server.

Cannot Log Into Hyperion 9 Workspace

<p>I am running Hyperion 9.2 on a Windows 2003machine using an Oracle database. When Igo to the workspace and enter my username/password combo, it is notaccepted. The same username and password do work when I gointo the User Management Console. The user has been givenaccess to everything and all of the services are running. If it is a backup of the same application on the same environment then the SID should not be an issue, if you are windows have you check the planning windows service log to see if there are more details.

FaceTime reports Network failure while logging! help appreciated

I upgraded my intel Imac software to Os X 10.7.2. While logging on to FaceTime - reports "error in network connection. check with your sevice provider" and my net connection drops very frequently since the upgrade from snow leopard.
On my Ipad I can successfully logon to FaceTime on the same network! I have Mac Keeper antivirus software installed. Seek help. Thanks.

I don't have a solution to your problem, but I would recommend getting rid of MacKeeper now. It will cause you a LOT more trouble than it's worth.

Assertion failure in log.c with in memory log files.

I'm trying to use a berkeley DB environment in an entirely in memory configuration as per the guide here

My test was to spawn 8 threads and have each insert 10,000 objects into an in memory database.
When running my test in Debug mode under MSVC++ I'm getting an assertion on line 1421 of log.c in __log_inmem_newfile.
This doesn't happen every time.
Here is the text of the line:

Here is an example of the values I'm seeing during one crash in my debugger from the parts of the expression:
lp->buffer_size == 1048576
first == 0x005bb1a8
last == 0x005bb428
lp->b_off == 125508
first->b_off == 917040
last->b_off == 911932
In release mode it seems to complete fine.
This problem happend with Berkeley DB Version 5.2.28 and I then upgraded to 5.2.36 and confirmed that it still happens.

It seems that we wrapped around in the in-memory log buffer without detecting that it is full and returning an DB_LOG_BUFFER_FULL error: DB_ENV->log_set_config() (DB_LOG_IN_MEMORY, DB_LOG_BUFFER_FULL)
Could you put together a small stand-alone test case program that reproduces this issue?
If this is not possible, then please reproduce the issue using BDB 5.2.36 with debug and diagnostic enabled libraries. Provide the output of the run, the call stacks of the threads, dumps of the local variables, in particular the values of the expressions in the thread hitting the assert in __log_inmem_newfile(), and the output of db_stat -E (environment statistics for the environment).

Airdrop failure, system.log

There have been many threads around about this, it seems most revolve around mismatched iCloud Logins across the devices. I can drop items to my phone without issue, however from phone to mac is not working.
I checked the system log, it seems the certificate on the phone cannot be validated,

Additionally I can only select my mac as a target when i choose "discoverable by everyone" on the mac -- and still does not work. I fear i need to relog the iCloud account on my phone -- but I'm really hoping for alternatives.

is actually the result of a bug in the periodic command itself. It's harmless, but is is a telltale sign that one of the periodic scripts ran.
The reason your system.log would appear blank, with only this message, is because the periodic daily or other script ran and rotated the log. Looks like the daily script ran at the appropriate time (03:15) and nothing log-worthy has been reported since.
Check the archived system.logs: The current System log is the file system.log. Archived system.log files have file names:
system.log.n.gz
where n is an integer in the range of 0 to 7. The higher the number, the older the log. Both current and archived System logs are located in the /var/log/ directory. You can access these logs in several ways, including the following methods:
- Launch Console (located in the Applications > Utilities folder), then click the Logs tool on the toolbar, then click the disclosure triangle next to the /var/log entry. Scroll down and you'll find the archived system logs.
- In Finder, select Go > Go to Folder..., type /var/log/ in the entry field of the resulting sheet, then click Go.

Authorisation failure when logging in on modem; with IE9 it works

I have a sitecom dc-229 modem. To service it, I have to log in with username/password. Authorisation fails allways, cannot get in.
Message is :
401 Authorization Required.
Browser not authentication-capable or authentication failed.
When using IE9 I have no problem.

I found a simple solution was, turn off PC, turn off modem, disconnect PC from modem, turn on modem, wait till its lights are happy, connect pc to modem then turn on, an Windows should say found new hardware, click yes, the Authorization Required, should be in manual supplied, ie: Basic Mobile 0000, then you can change it, unless somone has set a code to its hardware, if so there should be a reset code in the manual.
PS: it is not FireFox, it is the modem itself, if you have done a software update, with Win7 a lot of settings go to God, trust me it happened with mine..
