Failure to Synchronize Changes

Hello,
I am fairly new to itunes in general.  I have one machine I consider the master since the files all reside on that machine and it was used for initial configuration.  I had inadvertently double added most of my music library on the master before signing up for Match.  Thus Match also adopted the duplicate song listings.  I have since cleaned up the local library and iTunes on that machine and it now accurately reflects my music library with no duplicates(and yes I did check the box to remove files from the cloud as well).
The problem arises when I access Match from one of my other machines that have no downloaded content but stream my library from Match(like my ipad mini).  All of these devices still show duplicates.  An amusing feature is that only half of the songs actually play.  That is to say if I have a song listed twice then one instance will play and the other will not.  So shuffle mode play is a real treat with delays of up to a minute between songs as it tries to find songs that will actually play.
I have tried doing an "update Match" but that doesn't seem to make any difference.  What do I need to do to get this all synchronizing automatically or in this case manually?
Thanks.

Hello Jim,
I have not tried that "Shift+turn off", what does it do?
I have already had too much fun with the itunes file system approach.  If I need to create yet another directory for itunes every time I want Match to take an update then I need to re-evaluate my decision to use apple products.
I have tried turning Match off and back on in the settings on the remote devices(ipad and ipod) which did not seem to make a difference.
Nothing is grayed out anywhere.  The master machine has all music listed appropriately with no visible duplicates gray or otherwise.  I then issued the command to update Match which took a while but eventually reported that it was done.  The reduced number of songs did suggest that duplicates had been removed from Match.  But the updates apparently don't push out to the other devices.  Does anything in iTunes synchronize automatically?
Thanks

  • Failure to Synchronize Directory Services in Cisco Desktop Administrator

    Hi,
I'm not able to synchronize directory services in Cisco Desktop Administrator. I found a document but it's for older versions of Cisco CRS version 3.1(3) SR2. I'm using Cisco CRS version 5.X.
I hope that someone can help me.
    Thanks.

    Hi there,
We already performed those steps but it's not working.
On Cisco.com I found the same kind of issue but with CRS 3.1 (Failure to Synchronize Directory Services in Cisco Desktop Administrator - Reset Password). I tried to find a similar document but for CRS 5.x, but all in vain. I will attach the document and I hope and someone can help me to solve this issue in the CRS 5.x version.
    Thanks.

  • 'overwachte fout' (unexpected failure) after password change

Changed my password to my timecapsule's private wifi, it still works but is not accessible to configure, even after hard reset 'overwachte fout' (unexpected failure).

My macbook came with AirPort 6.0 and even after installing 5.6 it still says it's 6.0...
Yes, AirPort 6.0 is now considered a required system component and cannot be removed, however, if you installed 5.6 it is installed.
Most likely 5.6 is not the AirPort in your Dock. Look for it in your Utilities folder - it is specifically named AirPort Utility 5.6. You'll find it:
The two versions will peacefully coexist.

  • WSUS Synchronization changes

I have an upstream and downstream WSUS server. When I set the upstream for say 2 am, it immediately changes to something between 2 and 2:30. I get that, it says the schronization will start up to 30 minutes after your schedule.
On my downstream server, I set the sync for 3am.  I checked this morning and it ran at 6am.  I then looked at the schedule for the downstream server and it is set to 6am.  Why did it jump 3 hours?

The only logical response I have to this is that you are mistaken about what time you set the synchronization event for -- or somebody else changed it after you set it.
There are no known misbehaviors regarding the synchronization configuration functionality of WSUS.

    Hi Amit,
you can not move specific changes from Dev to production.
but you can follow this process to make your workflow as it is as in Dev:
Create a new workflow on the new list in Product.
Create at least one step, one condition and one action in this workflow.
    1. In Dev server open your .xomal file as XML and copy the entire contents.
2.In Production server Open your .xoml file as XML and Paste the entire contents
    3. repeat this operation for the xoml.rules file
4.Double click the .xoml file for the new workflow to open the workflow in the Workflow Designer and click Check Workflow to verify no errors and then click Finish to ensure the workflow is saved.
Whenever you need to make changes apply the same.
Please Mark Answer and Vote me if it will to resolve your issue

  • Failure to synchronize simulated PXI 5124 cards, but they synchronize without error on physical hardware.

I need to create a software development machine based on our existing experimental machine. We use two PXI 5124 cards mounted in a PXI 1042 Chassis and run LabVIEW 2013.
According to what google has returned, it is currently impossible to simulate a PXI Chassis, so I have the two devices mounted individually. Here is the experimental machine device list:
and here are the simulated devices on my development machine.
I have verified that the simulated devices are working by creating a simple program that graphs the output of the simulated devices. See attached.
However, when I run the program that we use on our experimental machine, the program fails to synchronize the clocks. I'm not sure if I would be allowed to post this program, so I have merely attached a picture of the part that creates an error.
Up to this point, there are no errors, but when synchronization begins, I receive the following error:
Error -250027 occurred at niTClk Configure For Homogeneous Triggers.vi:2010001
    Possible reason(s):
NI-TClk does not support the specified session.
Make sure that the sessions you pass to NI-TClk are supported by NI-TClk.
Session index (starts at zero): 0
Using probes, I can determine that there are (seemingly) valid resource names [9] going into the Configure VI:
These are not fundamentally different from the resource names [2] on our experimental machine:
According to this page I should be able to synchronize. While no longer in the same chassis, the two devices are still in the "same computer," are they not? Nevertheless, the error message makes me think I'm trying to do something that isn't allowed.
I've tried to look at other posts, but they are mainly concerned with FGEN, which I am not using.
    Any ideas?

    Hello,
By default, arbitrary waveform generators use High-Resolution Clocking to generate a waveform if the sampling rate that you choose is not an exact integer division of the maximum frequency of function generator. When High-Resolution Clocking is used, the sampling rate you specify can actually be coerced to a slightly different value than specified.
The problem with this is that if your specified sample rate is coerced into a non interger it will not be evenly divisible into other frequencies. When synchronizing multiple devices using NI-TClk, the algorithm will attempt to choose a TClk frequency that all sampling rates can be divided into evenly. Having an actual sampling rate that has been coerced into a non devisable value throws off the NI-TClk algorithm resulting in error -250016.
Could you try to disable High-Resolution Clocking and use Divide-Down Clocking instead. You can do this in LabVIEW using the Clock Mode property of the niFgen Property Node, and setting the value to NIFGEN_VAL_DIVIDE_DOWN.
Please let me know if this helps.

  • IPCC Failure when doing changes.

    Hi,
I really need your help on this.
I am having a problem with an IPCC Express server. It is not allowing any changes to the agent's configuration or anything, it is simply not making any changes to the configuration.
Everytime I try to make a change to the Agents, or to anything on the IPCC configuration I get the following error:
(In case you can't see it, it says:
Error while handling the input request.
    Backup
I even got the same error when trying to resynchronize JTAPI.
I would like to know what can I do to solve this issue (preferibly without affecting the business operation), should I restart the  server? Should I restart the RmCm account password? Is there a problem with the DC Directory integration (Database is integrated with a Call Manager v4.1.3)?.
Any help is more than welcome.

  • VHD boot failure - how to change from PERC3 to IDE?

I had a PowerEdge 2400 with a PERC3 RAID controller and 6 hard drives in a RAID-5 array that I need to convert to a Hyper-V virutal machine.
It's running Windows Server 2003 and I'm trying to use Microsoft's DISK2VHD tool, which has worked mulitple times for me in the past, but only when the primary hard drive controller is IDE.  The actual conversion of the physical disk to a VHD worked just
fine, but it would not boot into Hyper-V (2008 R2 or 2012 version).  Sometimes it gives be the BSOD with 07B inaccessible boot device error.  Other times it just reboots over and over again.  I've tried configuring the VM to connect the VHD
to either the IDE or the SCSI controller, but it failed with both.
I'm pretty certain the problem lies with the fact that Windows on the VHD is configured for a PERC3 driver and there is no PERC3 controller in Hyper-V.
Unfortunately, I do not have the PE2400 any more, so any options involving installing a cheap IDE card or taking a new disk image can't happen.  All i have is the VHD, which i can attach and access the contents of the hard drive.  How can i fix
the Windows installation in the VHD so it will attempt to boot up as if connected to an IDE controller?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Additional, please notice the Hyper-V server supported guest system version, such as the Server 2008 platform support specified guest system version as the following KB:
About Virtual Machines and Guest Operating Systems
    http://technet.microsoft.com/library/cc794868(WS.10).aspx
Disk2vhd runs Windows XP SP2, Windows Server 2003 SP1, and higher, including x64 systems.
And the following action is often easy forgotten:
Note: do not attach to VHDs on the same system on which you created them if you plan on booting from them. If you do so, Windows will assign the VHD a new disk signature to
avoid a collision with the signature of the VHD’s source disk. Windows references disks in the boot configuration database (BCD) by disk signature, so when that happens Windows booted in a VM will fail to locate the boot disk.
    Quote from:
    Disk2vhd v2.01

First I would like you to do a Back Up of your PlayBook using your computer and BlackBerry Desktop Software.
This can be downloaded for free from http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/
After the Back Up is complete I need you to unplug your PlayBook and then push and hold down the Power Button until the unit Force Powers Off.
Now, while Desktop Software is still open on your computer and the PlayBook Powered Off, Connect the PlayBook to your computer.
You should see and error screen from Desktop Software pop up that has the options to Retry, Update, or Cancel.
    QUICKLY choose the Update option.
This will erase all the information off of your PlayBook and Re-Write the Software back onto it. Once it's complete your PlayBook will need to go back through the setup wizard, and you can then perform a restore using Desktop Software to return your information. The only thing that won't come back after the restore are the apps that you downloaded from App World but they can be easily Re-Installed using the My World feature in App World.
Click here to Backup the data on your BlackBerry Device! It's important, and FREE!
Click "Accept as Solution" if your problem is solved. To give thanks, click thumbs up

    About 10 minutes later, I ran ZTIWindowsUpdate.wsf /debug:true, manually & it worked.
    Is this a timing issue?
Is there anything I can do to help avoid failures like this, such as adding a 30 second pause for all TS' just before the "Windows Update (Pre-Application Installation)" step?

No clue, http 503 suggests some kind of server error.
    This article:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-update-error-80244022#1TC=windows-7 suggests that it's some kind of network connectivity issue.

  • Domain Group Policy changes causes clients to be unable to connect to WSUS for Windows Updates

Domain Controller is Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit, Group Policy Management version 6.0.0.1. WSUS server is Windows Server 2008 Enterprise 32-bit, Update Services version 3.2.7600.226. Client machines are Windows 7, some are 64-bit and some are 32-bit.
Every time we make any changes to any of our Group Policies most of our clients stop getting their Windows Updates from the WSUS server within 2-3 days. This occurs when we add a new policy for a group of users, temporarily disable a policy or edit a policy.
Check of the WindowsUpdate.log on affected client machines shows:
    2014-06-25 13:40:44:976  760 1610 PT WARNING: GetAuthorizationCookie failure, error = 0x80072EE2, soap client error = 5, soap error code = 0, HTTP status code = 200

A further check of the log files shows:
    2014-06-21 19:36:06:995  156 1b0c Misc WARNING: SendRequest failed with hr = 80072ee2. Proxy List used: <proxy server name:8080> Bypass List used : <(null)> Auth Schemes used : <>
We do not use a proxy except for Internet connections. We configure IE with a pac file. This is set through Group Policy since we restrict user accounts from being able to set it.
The clients that are connecting to the WSUS server have these entries instead:
    2014-06-24 09:12:16:779  992 270 Agent Setting download properties on call A20329BC-3467-4B7E-B9F4-6AC6ACBA23E1: priority=3, interactive=1, owner is system=0, proxy settings=1, proxy session id=2
I have a routine that will fix the problem but it is time-consuming and pulls me away from other things I should be doing:
Run registry files on client machine (WindowsUpdate and AU) This is not always necessary and is already set by Group Policy and the affected clients already have the registry settings. No idea why it is necessary to do but it the steps below don't always
    work unless it is.
    netstop bits and netstop wuauserv
    ipconfig /flushdns
Delete qmgr*.* files from Downloader folder
    Delete Software Distribution folder
    Run from command prompt:
    sc.exe sdset bits D:(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;SY)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BA)(A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;AU)(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;PU)
    sc.exe sdset wuauserv D:(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;SY)(A;;CCDCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRSDRCWDWO;;;BA)(A;;CCLCSWLOCRRC;;;AU)(A;;CCLCSWRPWPDTLOCRRC;;;PU)
    netstart bits and netstart wuauserv
    wuauclt /resetauthorization /detectnow
Run Windows Updates again from Control Panel
This routine always fixes the problem but I've found that I must do each step to guarantee success.
How or where is the proxy setting being changed for WSUS that we see in the WindowsUpdate logs and how do I prevent this from happening? It is also curious that it happens to most but not all of the client machines. When it does happen it's not always the
    same client machines.

You're right - the WSUS server is on the inside and does not need a proxy server. Tried running the netsh winhttp reset proxy command but was still not able to connect to the WSUS server. After running the netsh winhttp reset proxy command received response:
Current WinHTTP proxy setting: Direct access <no proxy server>.
Ran the command at 13:49 and then tried Windows Updates again. Here's snippet from the log file:

  • Equipment Asset synchronization

    Dear Experts,
I have to manually assign the asset to equipment. I have done the following settings
    1) In "Specify Conditions for Synchronization of Master Data: against asset class
           a) i had given Equipment category
           b) Create Equipment :No synchronization
Change Equipment : Direct synchronization after saving
           c) Create Asset :No synchronization
Change Asset : Direct synchronization after saving
    2) In"Assign Master Data Fields of Assets and Equipment" I maintained cost center etc
I want to create equipment & asset manually but want synchronization in master fields as defined in point no 2)
At the time of creation if i choose different cost center other that what defined in asset system does not give error
When I change cost center in asset system automatically change the cost center of equipment which is fine but it's vice-versa is not happening ie when i change cost center of equipment , cost center if asset does not change
Pl help me out I want complete synchronization at the time of creation of equipment & later at the time of change the equipment or asset. I do not want to create asset or equipment automatically.

    Hi Ali,
As sunil mentioned above, do the following setting in SPRO
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>> Master Data in Plant Maintenance and Customer Service>> Technical Objects>>Serial Number Management>>> Define Default Equipment Categories for Serial Numbers
Here you define a central default equipment category (i.e; Fleet in your case) for the serial number management.
Hope this will help you to resolve your issue.

    Ritesh

  • Time Machine failure: Disk run out of space unexpectedly

    Hi
I'm having serious problems in the last few days with Time Machine backups.
I have an iMac '27 (late 2009) running Mountain Lion 10.8.2. The internal disk is 1 TB, and I use an external FW HD LaCie d2 Quadra 1 TB for my TM backups. After 3 years the disk is always full, but old backups were regularly removed. All the possible source of large variable files were excluded long time ago (VM disks, temporary directories, large download files).
TM used to work quite smoothly, but now, since 10 days, the backup fails with the message
"The backup disk ran out of space unexpectedly. Time Machine will try to make more space available by removing expired backups during the next scheduled backup."
I've checked previous messages in the forum about such an error, but the various cases do not seem to match my specific problem (or I was not able to find the message with working answer).
It seems that the "unexpected" problem is related to the fact that Time Machine is trying to backup again a large part of my filesystem, and it determines this fact only after the backup starts (so there is no pre-cleaning): when it happens I can see that the target size of the backup increases over time, while more and more data are written on the disk, until the disk is full.
I'll try to summarize my situations with an itemized list:
The current backup fails because it runs out of space, leaving an .inprogress file behind
The latest backup did not fail: the log report a successful backup (checked with Time Machine Buddy)
Examining the content of the latest backup, the one that did not fails, shows that some system directories, /Applications, /usr, and /bin are missing
So, possibly, the "unexpected" error happens because the system is backing up a lot of stuff (like 60GB), and TM discover this only after it starts writing the files
I've verified with Disk Utility both the TM disk and the internal HD, and they both report no problem.
After some digging around, I was able to make TM work again removing the .inprogress file (using the Pondini instructions), removing (using the "Star Wars" interface) the latest backup, the one with the incomplete content, and removing a few older backups to create some more free space.
The first time I thought it was a transient problem, but it happened again after a few days.
So the real issue is, why the latest successful backup is actually incomplete, with a large number of directories missing, but there is no hint of this in the logs?
I've read that old LaCie HDs might have problems with Mountain Lion, and with its power saving settings. May this be the cause? I did already turn off the power saving setting (put HD to sleep when possible) before the latest failure, but nothing changed.
I've also tried to update the d2 Quadra firmware, as indicated by other messages and on LaCie website, but the update fails and the provided instructions are less than useful (I'll try to contact LaCie on this issue).
My doubt is that this does not seem a power save issue... the failed backups happen while I'm actually using the machine (so no wake up/disk spin issue seems to happen), and the backups starts with no problem: they just finish abruptly with no apparent reason but with a success message.
Does anyone have problems similar to mine (successful but incomplete TM snapshots)? Is the problem triggered by the HD firmware, or there are other possible causes?
I plan to repair the TM one more time, and then keep it turned off to run only manual backups, but I'm aware that there is no guarantee that also a controlled manually started backup is not going to fail in a similar way.
    Thanks for any suggestion.
    Maurizio

I am not running out of space, but I do have the same problem.  Every so often TM does a backup which is about 60 GB bigger than expected.   The  extra is always a new backup of /System /Applications /usr etc. - that is the 'system files'.
The key thing is, as you have noticed:
Examining the content of the latest backup, the one that did not fail, shows that some system directories, /Applications, /usr, and /bin are missing
As a consequence the next backup is, in my case, 60 GB bigger because it includes all the system files.
It is as if 'systemFilesExcluded' was turned on for the previous backup (the one that 'did not fail').  But I have looked in the .exclusions.plist for this backup and it is exactly the same as for other backups and does include:
            <key>systemFilesExcluded</key>
            <false/>
It seems that TM is treating this as if <true/>.
Like you, I have done a disk verify and it finds no errors.
I think this must be a bug.  I have had this on four occassions since upgrading to Mountain Lion.  And it is doing a large one right now - I have caught it in the act!

  • New hard drive; can't play songs purchased while under old (changed) login!

My hard drive died and had to be replaced. Fortunately, I had backed up my library, but after importing my library again, I am unable to play any songs purchased under an old email/password. We changed internet providers and then I switched from PC to Mac, so I have changed my email/password twice and am now on my third login for this account. When I go into INFO I can see that the songs I am having problems with are linked to the old logins still. When I am asked to login to authorize these songs, of course, the account no longer exists, because it's the same account! I love music of all kinds, so we are talking about a lot of songs here - there has to be an answer to this problem. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's had to deal with this issue. Any help?

Too many changes - hard drive failures, email address changes, ISP changes and OS changes - unable to solve this issue.
