Failure to Synchronize Directory Services in Cisco Desktop Administrator
Hi,
I'm not able to synchronize directory services in Cisco Desktop Administrator. I found a document but it's for older versions of Cisco CRS version 3.1(3) SR2. I'm using Cisco CRS version 5.X.
I hope that someone can help me.
Thanks.
Hi there,
We already performed those steps but it's not working.
On Cisco.com I found the same kind of issue but with CRS 3.1 (Failure to Synchronize Directory Services in Cisco Desktop Administrator - Reset Password). I tried to find a similar document but for CRS 5.x, but all in vain. I will attach the document and I hope and someone can help me to solve this issue in the CRS 5.x version.
Thanks.

I remove default VOIP Monitor Service in "Cisco desktop administrator>Services Configuration > Multiline, Monitoring & Recording >Remove VoIP/Recording & Playback Services". Now I can't choose in "Services Configuration > Multiline, Monitoring & Recording > VoIP Monitoring Device" Default VOIP Monitor Service. How can I return choice my VOIP Monitor Service(IP UCCX)?
Hi Kalitamih,
This can be regenerated by the Cisco Desktop VOIP Monitor Service.
Please stop the service and start it (do not restart). Let me know how it goes and if it resolves the problem.

Cisco Desktop Administrator is not synch with CRS 5.0(2)
I am trying to add a new staff as supervisor in Cisco Desktop Administrator. CRS 5.0(2) is configured and showing him as supervisor.
In Destop Admin I have selected Call Centre1 and setup > Sync Directory service the message appears as"At least one error occured during the sync process". I have restarted CRS servers then Synch again. No luck. One more question: Is there any limitation on Supervisors number? the license hold 3 fold of the current seat numbers. so beleive its not a problem.Hi Nadarajah,
Maximum number of inbound supervisor positions supported : 32
Refer the below datasheets,
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/custcosw/ps5693/ps1846/product_data_sheet0900aecd805e1d54.html
Could you please check any of the CAD\CSD related services are in partial or Out of service in UCCX control center. Please attach the snapshot of the same.
Also please check the logs under the below path, in UCCX box and search for the above message "
"At least one error occured during the sync process" and see what is the reason for this.
C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\log
Hope this helps.

Cisco desktop administrator error
hi,
when i access the desktop administrator by following the below mentioned proceedure i am getting the error "CDUAI1000 Error while trying to load data. Ensure that the system path inlcudes the location of the WebAdminLib.dll". find also the attached files for error.
From the Desktop Work Flow Administrator menu bar, choose Desktop
Administrator > Side A. If your system includes redundancy, you can also
choose Side B.
Regards
Naresh Rathorefollowing is the proceedure which i used to get rid of the above problem.
On the Unified CCX server, add the location of the WebAdminLib.dll
(C:\Program Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin) to the Path environment variable.
1. In Control panel, launch the System utility.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
3. From the list of system variables, select Path and click Edit.
4. In the Variable value field, locate the string C:\Program
Files\Cisco\Desktop\bin; and, using cut/paste, move it to the beginning of
the variable value string. This results in the DLL being accessed from the
correct location.
5. Click OK and close the System utility.
6. Stop the Cisco Unified Node Manager.
7. On the Unified CCX server, delete the teamadmin folder from these
locations:
C:\Program Files\wfavvid\tomcat_appadmin\webapps
C:\Program Files\wfavvid\tomcat_appadmin\work\catalina\localhost
8. Restart the Unified Node Manager, and wait till the services are
restarted.
9. Access Cisco Desktop Administrator and verify that you can navigate to
the Services Configuration > Enterprise Data > Fields page.

VMM 2012R2 UR4 - Version 3.2.7768.0
Not sure when this started happening since I haven't had to update or create a new RunAs account in VMM in some time, but every time I do, either through the console or through PowerShell it throws an error about The specified directory service attribute
or value does not exist. The VMM Service account is the same as it always has been, and other than this issue everything with VMM is working fine. The full text of the error message is below.
I am hoping someone has some ideas because I don't have any more at this point.

How can I synchronize directory service and bpm engine?
hi,all
I'm using bpm WL 10.3.1 with papi.
Now I want to assign role to participant in process.
I use DirHumanParticipant.setRolesAssignment() and DirHumanParticipant.update() to assign role dynamically.
But it does not work.
Actually, when I log in to the webconsole. The role has assigned to the participant.
but when I log in to the workspace. I cannot find expect task in my work items.
In the history view I can find it.
Then I remove the role that i assigned previous and assign again in the webconsole.
After that I log in to the workspace, now i can get the expect task in my work items.
I think it need to synchronize between directory service and bpm engine. but I don't how to do it?
Is there any way to do it with some api?
thanks
regards
kenshinHi!
Here is how it works:
1. The engine polls the directory periodically and checks if some changes were made to the participant role assignments.
The poller frequency is configured on the Process Administrator.
2. When a change is detected, the engine updates the information on the engine partcipant cache.
However, if the participant is logged it, the update operation is postponed until the participant logs off.
3. After checking the directory, the engine directory poller sends a notification to all the PAPI clients (including the Workspace)
and the workspace side poller updates the participant assignment you see in the workspace.
The notification mechanism is using the JMS Topic on the JEE version of the BPM.
- First of all verify you are logged out when you add/remove the role.
After that, wait 1 minute or the time specified in the Process Admin as the directory poller frequency.
- Verify the JMS Topic is defined correctly. Check the engine log for any JMS Topic related error.
Hope it helps. -
Cisco Desktop Administrator password reset
Dear UCCX experts, since I configured a password in Desktop Work Flow Administrator, I cannot log into the application any longer (CDAU2016 The username or password ... in the CDA web interface).
I tried the password reset procedure as described in the CDA user guide but it does not work (this procedure is to reset the password with the postinstall application on the uccx server). We are in a HA configuration with two servers running UCCX 7.0(1)_Build168 on two 7825-I4-V01.
Thanks for the help.

Enabling Wrap-Up Data in Cisco Desktop Work Flow Administrator
Hello! I am running Cisco UCCX v7.0 and am trying to enable wrap-up data on my calls.
In the screenshot below, I am working with the Lending Work Flow Group and have added several Available Wrap-up Data reasons to the Work Flow Wrap-up Data reasons. I have also checked the boxes to Enable Wrap-up Data and to Enable Automatic State Change. I then clicked the Apply button and then manually synchronized the directory services from the Cisco Desktop Administrator webpage. Finally, I had the Agent login/logout of the CAD.
But when testing, the Agent was not prompted with a Wrap-up Data window. Is there a step I missed? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!Do you mean the Cisco Desktop Enterprise Service under System->Control Center? No, I have not restarted that service.
What is the business impact of doing so? Will it logout and/or disconnect agents that are logged into the CAD and on calls? Should it be done after business hours in a maintenance window? -
Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console
Hi,
We have installed CAD Services on 2 PGs.
We have configured Cisco SNMP Service to send SNMP events to CUOM (Cisco Unified Operations Manager).
CUOM monitors ICM services but not CAD Services, so we need to use Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console.
Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console is based on Windows SNMP Service, but this service is disabled and can not be running at the same time with Cisco SNMP Service.
Is there a solution to be able to use both Cisco and Windows SNMP Services to monitor ICM process by CUOM and CAD Services using Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console?
Thanks in advance for your help.Hi,
how did you resolve this? I was only able to get the CAD monitoring Console running, but I needed to disable Cisco SNMP and enabled Windows SNMP. After that the Console is working.
Is there any impact using Windows SNMP instead of using Cisco SNMP.
I would like to not bother Cisco TAC with that, if anyone has successfully runninbg the console with Cisco SNMP service.
Thanks in advance -
Cisco Desktop Agent application
How do you change the default URL links in the Ciscao Agent application? Is it done in CM or UCCX consoles?
We have a few agents that want to reset the default links in the Agent application? You need to use the Cisco Desktop Workflow Administrator application. You can download this through the /appadmin UI under Tools > Plugins.

UCCX 8.0.2. HA unable to manualy sinchronize directory Services
Good morning,
We have an agent that exists as a Call Manager user with an IPCC extension, the same user shows up in RMCM under de UCCX 8.0.2, but he is unable to log in to CAD with error "ID introuvable" (ID NOT FOUND). When we look in the Desktop administrator, we notice the user is missing. When we try to initiate a manual directory services synck, we instantly get the error "CDAUI2082 At least one error has occured during the manual synchronization of directory services. Contact Technical Support"
We found BUG ID CSCtd94036 , no luck after increasing the timeout value to even 120s.We restarted both UCCX with no change in behavior. IF you remove the IPCC extension in the end users of CUCM, the user becomes a unactive agent instantly and if you go give the IPCC extension he is back in RMCM, but never shows up in Desktop administrator.
Anybody knows of a fix, or necessary debugs to gather before we go to TAC on this ?
Thanks.here are some few interesting debug I gathered. means anything to anyone?

Meeting Place 8.5.3.4 - Change Directory Service Configuration
Hi Support Community
We have 3 CUCM clusters version 8.6.2
We have 1 Meeting Place 8.5.3.4 cluster with a primary and standby server
Meeting Place has directory service integration with 1 of the CUCM clusters and performs all user sync and authentication via AXL / LDAP
We now need to change the Meeting Place configuration for AXL server, used for authentication and sync, to another CUCM cluster, this will use exactly the same LDAP search base so all users and details will remain the same in CUCM and therefore we want nothing to change in Meeting Place so all users should remain the same with the same configuration and all meetings should remain the same.
It looks straight forward to change the AXL URL but then we discovered the below from the Meeting Place configuration guide :
" user updates, imports, and deletions are not supported from a redundant Cisco Unified Communications Manager, even if it is integrated with the same LDAP directory as the primary Cisco Unified Communications Manager. This is because Directory Service user updates are tied to a field that is unique to each Cisco Unified Communications Manager server."
So we need to know how we go about changing the directory service configuration to point to another CUCM cluster for authentication and synchronization whilst keeping Meeting Place users and meetings in the Database unchanged.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Carl RatcliffeHi Carl,
I've just received a final update. If you want to point your Directory Integration to a different CUCM server that is holding the same user database and runs AXL service, you should be able to just change the AXL URL on MP and point to this new server. After this change is made and saved, we recommend restarting services on MeetingPlace (SSH to the server with mpxadmin account, changing to 'root', and running 'mpx_sys restart' command). Once the services are restarted and system comes back up, go to User Configuration > Directory Service > Directory Service Configuration and perform a Full Sync (make sure that Profile Number setting under Profile Number Configuration section is set to New users only in order to avoid any profile # change if any of the user profiles in CUCM was updated in the meantime)
Please, let me know of any questions you might have.
Thank you.

ashishHi,
we're having exactly the same problem.
Could you tell me what the problem is with the network ?
You say configure it properly but what do you mean ?
It's installed on a Windows 2000 Server machine, it's own DNS.

In researching this I find "If you do not plan to add an RODC to the forest, you can disregard this error."
We have not successfully run ADprep /rodcPrep nor do we plan on having any Read-Only DCs, so I think we can ignor this error. We did try running ADprep /rodcPrep but got an LDAP error which I can duplicate if this is important.
Schema and Naming FSMOs are on a DC higher in the forest. RID, PDC, and Infrastructure FSMOs for the child domain are on the Virtual server (PDC).
Any guidance on where to go from here would be greatly appreciated as I have no more hair on my head to pull.Ok... I ran repadmin /showreps /v again and it shows no errors
