Failure when installing and no support!
I bought Creative Cloud CS6 package, but there has been an error while dowloading or installating. InDesign CC, Flash and Fireworks (which I don't use) is installed but not Photoshop and Illustrator (which I use all the time).
Here in Denmark there is no support from Adobe what so ever!
I feel completely outlawed and I can't get in touch with Adobe with the exception of nice (accommodating) support-people that I do not understand because of their indian accent - and through bad and scratchy telephone connections. I have spent many hours on this lousy so called 'support'!
I feel quite restless, and do not know what to do? I have no one to turn to. It is a scandal that Adobe are leaving us customers alone with our problems - our money is good enough but after we have payed ...! Is that Customer Care???
I have for many years used Adobe and always made a point of honor to pay for the programs I use as a natural thing. But after this experience with lousy Adobe Support I do not think I will concern myself about installing 'alternative' Adobe applications in the future!

When the updater notified me of an iTunes update, I selected the update option. The update failed and killed the version I was running. I have tried for a year to fix the problem without sucess. I can't completely remove all Apple products. I can not install any apple products especially iTunes which is the only one I am interested in.
When I install iTunes now I get a registry key error similar to this:
I am using a machine where I am the only user and am the Admin. I have looked at the security settings on this key and see nothing wrond with it or the parent keys. I tried removing all apple products but ran into similar problems. At this time I still have Bonjour. Mobile Device Support, Software Update, and Application Support installed.These ones are tricky. But the following instructions are worth a try.
First do a complete uninstall of iTunes and related components (but don't reinstall just yet), as per the following document:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
a. Launch regedit (Start >> Search Programs and Files >> type Regedit and open the regedit that comes up.)
b. Access the following Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData \S-1-5-18\Components
c. Perform the following actions
i. Right Click on Components Folder
ii. Select Permissions
iii. Select Full Control and Read Permissions options
iv. Select Advanced Button
v. Select Owner Tab
vi. Select to Change Owner to the Administrators
vii. Check the option “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects”
viii. Select OK when prompted that it may not change all.
ix. Select Apply
x. Select Apply again
xi. Exit the Registry Editor
Now try reinstalling iTunes again. Does it go in properly this time? -
Are loud fan noises supposed to be heard when installing and downloading mac updates?
I was wondering if it was normal for my macbook pro w/ retina display to make loud fan noises when installing/download mac software?
Yes. THat is normal because OSX turns the fan on high because the cpu and hard drive are writing files as quickly as they can make them. Software updates are sometimes intense on the CPU so the fan is turned on each time an update happens

1. permission problem for /tmp
2. most importantly it seems that the / (root) file system is full

XP Registry Failure when installing LabVIEW 8 Evaluation CD
I am trying to install the LabVIEW 8 Evaluation CD on Windows XP with Service Pak 2. I got a failure message saying that it "could not open key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\LVDB.Application\CLSID."
Can anyone help me?
DonThe nature of the error your seeing has to do with licensing. I've found one article over a year old that would indicate that a license file name is too long which is then confusing FLEXlm, a license manager. However I'm not sure I buy that one because I have license files that are over 30 characters long and my system seems to work. Your license files should be located at C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses.
I also found a article describing conflicts between different FLEXlm applications. That article can be found at http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/69D774EB126339538625701400662FA6?OpenDocument. This may or may not help out if you have other applications installed.
A couple of other things. Do you have administrative rights when logged on? Are you using the NI Volume License Manager (VLM)? Is the installation you are trying to preform from a network installation? Have you ever had LabVIEW work on this machine before? If so, what changed? -
Flash 9 install AND uninstall support
Flash WAS working fine, but I wasn't sure. I decided to
reinstall it to see if that would help (i have since learned that
the problem was with the website, not my computer).
Now, both installing uninstalling flash don't work. I get no
error messages when I'm installing. After it goes through the
motions, it pops up Firefox to the trial page, and it doesn't work.
I tried uninstalling it, but it won't recognize the fact that
I have NOTHING open, much less a browser. Seriously... I shut down
EVERYTHING except finder, and it didn't work.

I will try rearranging the drive order on the server so the
hard drive is C:. Many install programs fail on alternate drive
letters. I know. I developed install programs full time for five
years. Mine never had a drive letter failure. However I installed
countless other developer work just to see where they fail.

Itunes give me error 2 when installing and starting it up
after i install itunes i get a error 2 also i uninstall and get the smae error

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Create domain failure when installing forms 11gr2
I am trying to install forms 11gr2(11.1.2) 64 bit on a windows 7 64 bit OS. I have installed JDK 1.6.0_31 64 bit Java. I installed WLS 10.3.5 and did not run the quickstart or da any configuration. I installed forms 11gr2 without configuration option. When completed installing forms 11gr2 I went to start bar and selected configure classic instance. I select the defaults and it tries to configure. I keep getting failed when trying to create domain. I checked various articles and most have pointed to spaces in path statement. I ave created to junctions to Program Files and Program Files (x86). I changed the path statement and any other system variable that pointed to one of those directories. As a side note, I reboot everytime I make a change. The following is the last part of the log file showing the actual error.

Any help is appreciated as I have been trying to install the 64 bit forms and report developer products for a few weeks and keep receiving the same error. I have tried other versions, forms 11.1.1.2 and WLS 10.3.2, with the same results. Thanks in advance.I only have the 127.0.0.1 localhost entry uuncommented in the hosts file. Failure when installing Win 7 on freedos for HP15-AC057TU notebook
Just bought this low cost HP preloaded with freedos. But everytime tried to install Win 7 from CD, it stopped at blue screen. Is this problem relates to format of hd non ntfs or fat32? Or some other methods or solutions? Thank you.
Managed to download Windows 10 on another PC onto a pendrive and install in the notebook. However, activation problem arised because product key for Windows 7 was not recognised in Windows 10. Reading through microsoft websites, it was suggested to reinstall Windows 7 with the product key, then upgrade to Windows 10. When reinstalling Windows 7, the usb driver was left out, meaning cannot reinstall Windows 10 from the usb/pendrive. Therefore, had to revert back to Windows 10 from Bios/pendrive (back to square one). Just got an idea, to copy usb driver installer on the hd before reinstalling Windows 7. Just need the usb port to work to be able to reinstall Windows 10 on to Windows 7 (to solve the activation problem. Wish me luck.

EM CS6 Mac continuous "internal errors" failure when installing extensions
System OSX 10.6.8, Dreamweaver CS6 Version 12.0 Build 5842, Extension Manager Version 6.0.2.40
After updating from DWCS5.5 to CS6 a number of the exensions failed and or will not load. And, yes using the latest versions that were supposed to be compatible with CS6. It is unclear whether the problem is with the Extension Manager or DW but either way it isn't working.
The error says. "Internal error (please contact techincal support). The extension will not be removed."
To add to it the internal errors also include the removal of some of the current extensions.
I don't expect problems with new versions of the extensions from Project Seven, DMX Zone and Webassist. On failure to load in DWCS6 I tried it in DWCS5.5 without problem.

We cannot download the extensions above( the producers didn't provide the trial versions ). So you can try 2 things:
1. Generate Extension Manager log files with the steps below, and paste the content of log files here or send them to us by email.
2. Launch Extension Manager, and click Tools --- Conver MXP Extension To ZXP, browse to your mxp extension to convert the mxp extension to a zxp file. ZXP file is a zip file actually, so you can extract it by any zip tools. Then you should be able to find a "xxx.mxi" file in it. You can send the mxi file to us. Because MXI file is an XML file, which does not have any content files of the extension, and the only purpose of it is to let Extension Manager to manage the extension, we think it is okay.

Just recently my Iphone 5 battery is dying in a just a few hours, it used to last all day or more. I'm not doing anything different with it, although I have started shutting down apps etc. to conserve battery. I get constant "message send failures and frequently dropped phone calls.
My best bet would be to restore the phone. Back it up to itunes, and then reset it Factory settings. This way, any corrupt software will be removed, and you can start fresh. Make sure you back it up first. By the sounds of it, you are using the phone for business and probably need the data from it. Hope this helps!

This makes no sense, I have a Core 2 Duo E6400 which runs fine at stock, but the second I overclock it at all that damned message shows up in POST.
Not to mention I cant OC past 3.0 with OCZ PC6400 RAM and a 650W PSU.

I'm in the mid 40's at idle now... and can get up to mid 60's when running orthos for over an hour. Once and a while, on a hot day top at 67. backs down to 40s as soon as orthos is over, and... never gets to 65-67 when running ANY of my other programs other than orthos.
i have a tuniq tower 120, lapped from 3M automotive wet or dry sandpaper 400 grit all the way up to 2000 grit for a few hours, and also lapped the IHS as well... each surface is flat andreflective. I Lapped on a large mirror, with a smooth stroke, left to right motion, then when paper lost it's grit, taped a new sheet to the mirror, and started over again. Did not do circular or figure 8 motion, did not do 90 degree turn method. Just left to right. Didn't have a sink large enough for the mirror to be in to keep a water flow over it while lapping, so just dealt with loads of copper and sand paper dust on my desk. wore a facemask. will post pics if you want.

BUT, the friggin problem is with those stupid tuniq tower screws.
it's the only wildcard in the scenario, which is probably "screwing me over", no pun intended.
the top broke off one of the tuniq screws, and they don't give you any spares. HORRIBLE design... i am using a makeshift system for one of the screws, but I am pretty darn sure it's not holding down as good as the original would of course. They seem to be all even as far as i could tell, but i'm not tightening them down all the way like they were before. I can't, or else the other heads may pop off and the i'm totally "screwed"
trying to get a replacement asap... so... maybe when i do the temps will go down more, but still...
with a 3.4ghz to 3.6ghz oc... hovering in the 1.4vcore range, in mid summer in NY with no ac and the average ambient temps up here...
full tower case with an 120mm exhaust directly behind the tuniq tower, which is blowing directly into it, and out of the case, a 120mm intake in the front, and a PSU with a 120mm AND 80mm fan exhaust, I think my case has good enough flow.
From what i'm reading everywhere, these procs are meant to run for at least 3 years with temps up to 65, accoring to INTEL...
and other people can get full load temps around 60 and some can go lower, but hey, you don't win a PRIZE if you get them any lower, do you...
I personally don't care if this thing lasts much longer than a year or so, by then i'm upgrading and this would have been sold anyways, but by then, I'm sure not getting the $300 i spent on it to begin with with all the other options that will be available...
so, what do YOU think my temps should be?

My never goes over 30c, stays in the 25-28c range when i have my widow AC off and when it is on it says at 22c-24c. Mine is OCed to 3ghz on stock voltages. I'm sure i could push it much further with the temps I'm getting but I'm new to overclocking and don't feel like messing with the voltages just yet. -
Problem with installing and running some applications or drivers
When installing and installing some items, towards the end of the installation I get this message:

The end result is that some things do not seem to work properly, such as my HP printer. Would anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?Thank you for your response. Sometimes, the download hangs and is unable to complete. The main problem I've encountered so far with an application is when I use the printer to scan an image via Preview, it's blank: there's nothing there. -
