Failure while extending weblogic server domain.

Hello
We are facing failure for registering/extending OID, OVD and OHS instances with the WebLogic Server Domain(10.3.5.0) on Windows. Weblogic domain server and URL(http://hostname:7001/console) is up and running; however we are not able to Telnet 7001 port or access Weblogic domain URL from OID/OVD/OHS server.
Please note OID, OVD/OHS/Admin server are hosted on three different m/c.
Web Logic Server Domain: 10.3.5.0
OID, OVD, OHS: 11.1.1.5
OS: windows server 2008 32 bit
While extending we are getting error:

Did you get an answer to this problem? The opmnctl registerinstance failed with exactly the same error. In my case I know I misspelled the domain name during the install dialog and now need to correct the name, but I can't find where the name is located to correct it or which tool to use or which file I should edit? I looked through the Weblogic admin console and EM admin console but with no luck. Do you or anyone else know how I can edit the name of the host so I can move forward with my installation? It seems like it would be simple to find and change. Thanks.

    Hello Djam,
    Please review the following:
The FMW WebLogic Server (WLS) installation has been configured to use a non-default Java temporary files directory,
i.e. the following has been set in the WebLogic startup or setDomainEnv.sh script:
    EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES="-Djava.io.tmpdir=/appl/oracle/temp_java_files ${EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES}"
Reference: How to Change the WebLogic Server Location for Temporary Files (Doc ID 1336002.1)
When the Middleware home was restored the directory specified by java.io.tmpdir parameter was missing,
Therefore an IOException occurred when opening the wallet and WLS was unable to initialize the OPSS successfully.
To resolve the issue re-create the directory specified by the java.io.tmp dir parameter, and make sure the owner and group access are the same as for the FMW installation.
Unable Start AdminServer: JPS-01050: Opening of wallet based credential store failed. Reason java.io.IOException (Doc ID 1923395.1)

    PLs help me

User, please tell us your jdev version!
Somehow your credentials are corrupted. Two possible solution:
    1) open your system11.1.1.xxxx folder open the DefaultDomain\servers\DefaultServer\security folder and edit the boot.properties file. Remove the '(AES)...' part after username and password and write the new ones e.g. username=weblogic', password='Welcome1'. Save the file and try to start the integrated server again. Once the server starts the entries are encoded again.
    2) if 1) does not work, remove the whole DefaultDomain folder and create a new WLS instance inside jdev.

  • Enabling Trust Between WebLogic Server Domains

    Hi everyone,
We have two sites, each one running one WL 8.1 instance. The problem is that we have different users in each one, and they need to access both sites (using a RMI call).
When the user is created in both sites, there is no problem. But we do not want to replicate all users in all sites.
So this is what we are trying to do:
Create the user in one site and enable trust between Weblogic Server domains (giving both sites the same password), so once one user is authenticated, the other site will not try to authenticate this user again. But since this user does not exist in the other site, he has no permission to do anything at all. Because of that we receive the following error message: "User a7ax does not have permission on br to perform lookup operation."
Does anyone have any idea about how we can handle this, and enable the users to use other sites, without creating the user in both sites?
    Thanks in advance.
    Cesar

In order to debug this issue you need to determine which kind of security has been applied on the web service deployed on remote weblogic server.
Whether it requires username/password from the calling web service ?
or it requires any kind of digital certificate from the calling web service etc......
the most usual secnario where cross-domain security is required is as:
If a user- Test calls a service- ServiceA on Weblogic Domain-domainA and provides its credentials and is authenticated properly.
Then if this service requires to call another service -ServiceB on another Weblogic Domain - DomainB which is also secured then there should be a cross-domain trust should be enabled between the domains DomainA and DomainB so that the subject populated in the domainA can be transferred to DomainB.
Now you should determine whether this is the secnario you are trying to achieve or it is something else.
Also try to use the following debug flag in the DomainB where the provider service is deployed to get the exact reason why it is failing to verify the security check.
    -Dweblogic.DebugSecurityAtn=true
This debug flag is enabled as JAVA_OPTIONS.
    Thanks,
    Sandeep

  • OutofMemoryError while starting weblogic server in Oracle SOA base domain

    Hi,
I have installed Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.7.0 in my machine. My system is 32 bit with 4 GB RAM.
When staring my weblogic server from D:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\startWeblogic cmd file , iam getting Running state in the cmd but after very long time like 5-10 mins.
When iam trying to open the console , after giving the login userid and password it is not going inside and iam getting critical warning in cmd as OutofMemoryError.
    Please help resolve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Rohini

    Hi,
This could be for different reasons.
One first approach you can take is to increase the JVM memory parameters on the <DOMAIN_HOME>/bin/setDomainEnv or setSOADomainEnv

    hi Sandeep,
i changed the owner of the domain directory in windows server 2000 but i am still getting the same error.

  • Problem while starting weblogic server 10.3.3.0

    Hi,
I have installed the Weblogic server 10.3.3.0 on machine which has Microsoft Windows XP 2002, Service pack3. RAM - 2GB
On that Weblogic server 10.3.3.0 i have installed SOA 11.1.1.2.0 and applied the patch set 2 on SOA 11.1.1.2.0 to upgrate it to SOA 11.1.1.3.0. I have used XE database which is installed on another machine.
After the installation of SOA 11.1.1.3.0 I have created one domain.
While starting the Admin server of that domain, it prompt me with an error as :

    Hi
Go to your soa domain root folder/bin and open setSOADomainEnv.cmd file in any text editor. Search for -Xmx1024m and replace that with -Xmx512m. I would prefer copy this entire line and comment one old line and edit the new line with this new value of 512m. So that you know what you changed later on. I do something like this on my side
REM JEGGA changed -Xmx1024m to -Xmx512m
    set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx512m
    REM set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m -Xmx1024m
Now you should be able to start the domain. Still 2GB is kind of low memory to start SOA Domain with AdminServer and managed server. One other option you have is while Creating SOA Domain, do NOT use all the defaults, instead check the boxes like to changed managed servers etc. And remove the soa managed server during this process and remove the cluster. Just have only one Admin Server and all the SOA Modules deployed to this AdminServer only. In this way, you will have SOA Domain with only one AdminServer and you can start this admin server alone. You can deploy any SOA Application on this domain and it should work fine.
Refer this thread for creating single server soa domain:
    Re: Combining two WLS domains

  • Error while stopping Weblogic server

I have created a new domain and installed my application here, after deplotyment when i stop teh server it throws the following exception:
Cannot shutdown a server when using a BootIdentify file AND running in Production mode
I have created boot.properties file also.still it is throwing this error,.I am not getting any clue on this error, there is no clear details availablei n the archives also , so please advise.
    Thanks
    Vishy

    Narayan,
Can you provide more information on the configuration, JDK, Service Pack
level and also manner in which you shutdown the server.
Can you try using the following command to shutdown the server
java weblogic.Admin URL SHUTDOWN system password
    http://www.weblogic.com/docs51/admindocs/weblogicserver.html#shutdown
Also make sure you set the classpath before running this command
If you are testing with any service pack prior to sp8, I would suggest you
test with the latest service pack for WebLogic Server 5.1 which is sp10.
If you need just the service pack for WLS 5.1 , you will need to have a
websupport login and password. Please refer to this url for more
    information on this.

  • Getting error while hitting weblogic server from EBS client instance

    Hi,
We are trying to hit weblogic server from EBS client instance.
Steps Done from our side :-
    1. Created a self signed key store and certificate (.cer file) with server host name and used it for SSL enabling on weblogic server.
    2. Created a self signed key store and certificate (.cer file) with client host name and used it for SSL enabling on oracle EBS client.
    3. Imported client certificate .cer file in Server Side Trust Store.
    4. Used Server keystore for client side verification.
We are getting these logs from Client Side (Oracle EBS AS) :-
