Faked (and apparently working) Apple ID. What can I do?
I have just received three automated e-mails from Apple, on a different e-mail account from the one I signed up for this Apple ID. The first one addressed me by a woman's name (I'm a man) and said that someone had added my e-mail as a contact address for an Apple ID. It also said that if I hadn't done it, I didn't need to worry, because "your email address cannot be used as a contact address for an Apple ID without your verification."
OK, I wouldn't worry, except that the two other messages appear to contradict that statement, because the first one said that "my" supposed Apple ID had been used to log in to iCloud from an iPhone 4, and the other said the same about FaceTime and iMessage, also from an iPhone 4 named "Babygirl." I suppose this means that whoever used my e-mail address somehow managed to verify it and successfully log in. EIther that or the verification step is being ignored and Apple is allowing anyone to use any e-mail address to log in, which is extremely serious.
For the record, I don't own an iPhone - in fact, the only Apple product I ever had was an old iPod Nano that I no longer have or use, and that's the only reason I already had an Apple ID (this one I'm using to post this, of course), which I hadn't used for years before today. Also, I suppose my impersonator is from the United States (it was a typical American female name), but I happen to be from Brazil (and fortunately be fluent in English).
There have been other cases of fraud involving this e-mail address, such as signing in to an on-line gaming community and trying to reserve a rental car in Europe, but in all those cases, there was a channel I could use to contact the respective company and tell them what was happening, so they could take appropriate measures. However, Apple offers no way to contact them to solve this mess and block whoever is using my address. The only option is "calling Apple," which is only feasible for U.S. users. I must say that this level of support, access and security is not the least bit encouraging me to have another Apple product any soon.
I can't scrap the other e-mail address, because it is in active use (not only for correspondence but also for accessing Google's services, as it is a Gmail address). Besides, that would be useless, as the only effect would be that I wouldn't know when someone used it fraudulently again. The password has been changed several times and Google's activity report shows no unauthorized accesses.
What can I do? Thanks.

You could try going into settings then messages and seeing if you have it turned on. You will need to use your apple ID then, hope that helps.

I recently upgraded to 10.6.7 and Safari 5.05. Safari now has a long load time when you initially boot it up and when selecting a new tab. Other than that it works fine. What can I do ?
Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, relaunch Safari.
If it's not Extensions, check for third party Safari add ons.

Verizon does not fix/repair/replace devices.
Apple provides all hardware support in the US.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and possible replacement.
FYI, they do not fix devices, so backup your device prior to going to the store. -

I can no longer send or respond to email from my Firefox browser. I closed and sent from Internet explorer and it works fine. What changed? The only thing different this morning, I downloaded Adobe uprade?I had this hotmail issue myself a while back. I Googled, scanned MS website, scanned MSN website, visited forums, couldn't figure it out. I tried Firefox and Opera and even changed the Opera mask setting from Opera to Internet Explorer. Nothing worked. My best guess was that I was signing on (with the new MSN Live as opposed to MSN Hotmail - the OLD interface) with the "Remember me on this computer?" box checked. I now make sure it is un-checked (which is not the default) and hotmail lets me in.
Not exactly sure if that is the real remedy, but thot I'd throw the story your way just in case... -

What can I do to fix this please?Most movies have Dolby surround sound. Seems like you don't have all sound channels coming out of your speakers.
Is the AppleTV connected to a receiver or to a TV?
If you have a receiver that supports dolby surround you should configure the sound settings of the Apple TV and receiver accordingly.
If it's connected to a TV the audio setting "Dolby Digital" in the Apple TV should be set to off. -

I upgraded to Lion and now can't print PDF files and Acrobat reader doesn't work anymore. What can I do to get it working?
If you upgraded and were using a version of Acrobat Reader that was legacy, that is PPC compatible, then you will have to upgrade to a version compatible with Lion as Lion no longer has Rosetta to interface with the legacy software.
I know that Acrobat, full version, 10 works with Lion...use it myself. -
