False Audio driver on lenovo site

i downloaded realtek audio driver for lenovo g580 for windows 8 from http://http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/0lau05w8.exe
But this driver is fauly. it gives this error while installling.
We can see that its for Vista and not for windows 8. Can u help where do i find the right audio driver?

Hi firozmkhatri,
Try it from here .  The Consumer site is being phased out, I'm surprised it still works.  Everything is being combined.
If it still doesn't work, try it from the Chinese site.  Use Chrome to translate it.

i did format to my computer and reinstall windows XP and now i don't have audio, i already downloaded all drivers from lenovo website and nothing is working. pls pls help. thank's.

If you are using Windows Vista go to All Programs/Palm and click on the folder and select Hot Sync Manager and then try to sync with the USB cable. If you are using the Windows XP go to Start/Programs/Palm/Hot Sync Manager and then try to sync. If you don’t have the palm folder at all on your PC you have to install it. Here is the link http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/33219_en.html that version 4.2.1 will be working for your device Zire 72.

  • Weird/massive Audio driver

I am adding drivers to Lenovo ThinkPad 11E into Out of box...
Have a bad filling after dealing with Audio Driver form Lenovo Package.
The latest on Lenovo site is dated November 2014. Downloaded and extracted driver for Win7 x64.
In extracted folder : Vista64   Vista32 (that I deleted for preventing for import) and WDM. These folders contain bunch of crap (sorry for expression) and inf files. NO Windows 7 in package proposed for Windows 7 (was not a pleasure to see that
The laptop came with Windows 7 and contained Drivers folder (extracted) on C:\
I compared the computer one and latest downloaded. They are the same. NO Windows 7 folder. So I deleted Vista32. And imported the heck... Look at the pic please. I never saw such a huge quantity of drivers for one particular device - in this case Audio card.
Checked Device Manager of original OEM installation. and was surprised again. All what I need is one driver that will allow to produce the sound. It is not multimedia station.
What do you think about this? I will probably disable Audio folder in Out of Box to make one deployment and see if Audio card will be detected by Windows 7. If not than I can just find for missing one.
My question is more about such a "modern" driver content for Windows 7 (that actually is still Jurassic Park Vista written).

note to display hidden devices, click show hidden devices on the view menu.
    - right-click the device, and then click update driver software.
    - click browse my computer for driver software, click let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer, and then click have disk.
    - in the install from disk dialog box, click browse, locate an .inf file for the device driver that you want to install, and then click open.

  • Soundcard driver problem - Lenovo 3000 N500

I have a problem with the installation of a suitable driver for the soundcard of a Lenovo 3000 N500 under XP.
Initially there was no sounddevice displayed at all - After installing windows service-pack 3 the soundcard appeared as -
    "audiogerät auf high-definition audio bus"
I downloaded and extracted all drivers from here - http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/quickPath.do?sitestyle=lenovo&quickPathEntry=4233-5FG&ope...
Additionally installed  "Intel HDMI Audio Driver"
Still no suitable driver and therefor no soundcard available.
I saw other posts with similar problems, but the solutions did not help me yet (f.e. Intel HDMI Audio Driver), but maybe instal has to be done in some very certain order.
I would be very greatful for any help!

As of today, status unchanged, no drivers available HERE. Unbelievable.

  • Need help with the T400 audio driver.

I recently purchased a refurbished T400 (type 6475-GS6) at a great price.  I've installed XP 64, downloaded then installed all, or what I thought was everything from the Lenovo web site.
But for the life of me, I can't install the Conexant audio driver because the device driver installation wizard can't find the device for the driver.
    Does anyone have a suggestion?
Thanks in advance for your time and help.

  • Audio driver for G550

    HI friends,
I've downloaded my audio driver for G550 laptops for my windows Xp...... But during installation there occured an error and was unable to load..... so please guide me , is there any other way to download the driver software....

    Hi Vaibhav,
    Welcome to the forum!
Try any or all of these steps.
    1. Enter the BIOS and set it to default values.
    2. Disable the device driver that has problem in the device manager. If you see any yellow or red marks under a device then "Disable the profile" of the device by first going into it's properties.
    3. Click Start , Run , and type the following into the Open field: msconfig, Click the Boot.ini tab. Remove the checkmark next to /Safeboot , if it is selected. Click OK and restart the PC.
    4. In Safe mode select Start, Run, type "msconfig" and click on OK. Check the box before Normal Startup and click on Apply and OK. Exit and restart your computer.
    5. Your computer may also be infected with a virus or malware, try running a complete scan with an updated antivirus/spyware.
To successfully install the audio driver, your Windows XP must be at SP2 level and this patch must be applied prior to installing the audio driver:- http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-65456.html
    Hope it helps.

I attemp to reinstall audio windows 8.1 drivers downloading from the us and uk lenovo site, installation never works, always fails, stating incompatible, though I think should work, I uninstalled the previous not working driver, hoping a reinstall might fix it, still the Lenovo driver install fails, stating uncompatible

    Hi Pastypete,
I’m sorry to hear that the “System Restore” is not working as expected in the computer, the available option to resolve this issue is to install the Audio driver in “Compatibility Mode”. Below are the images to help the installation of driver in compatibility mode, right click on the downloaded file select “Properties” then click on “Compatibility” tab, now below are the images in which the options are selected. Please follow the same and at the end select Apply>OK. Now right click on the file again and select “Run as administrator” option:
NOTE: As per the 2nd image select Windows 8 in "Run this program in compatibility mode for" option.

  • T400 et al: Connexant Smart Audio driver on Windows Update now.

Lenovo does not yet provide a real Audio driver for Win7 / Connexant chip. Today, by chance, i found out that on Windows Update you can OPTIONALLY (need to select it) get the DRIVER now. Not sure what changes compared to the "generic" Win7 driver, but this one comes from Connexant themselves. It does NOT add a control panel plugin, though.

No problem. It seems the Lenovo Chinese support site often releases new drivers several days ahead of the US site.
