False error message as "paper jam" on CP1215 Color Laser Printer. How can I release it?

On Color Laser Printer CP1215 the False Paper Jam warning message is continuously on.
How can I erase it?

I used to be proud that I owned HP printers if for no other reason than the quality of the products and the reputation - I even recommended your products to everyone who would listen. Not any more. Maybe one day one of the revolving-door CEO's will do a Google search for problems customers are having with your products and will see that the company's status quo isn't acceptable and do something to fix the problems internally that are affecting so many of your customers and also help the thousands of individuals who have basically hit a wall with regard to finding any kind of solution to the problems they have with their printers.

  • Photosmart 2610 Error messages. Paper feeds OK but stops under print head

    Using MS Windows 7 with the XP mode Virtual Machine
    Printer worked fine in Windows 7.  The problems started when I added the printer to the virtual machine so I could print XP files that worked fine; however, the printer did not work properly in Windows 7.  I uninstalled the printer from the virtual machine but the problems remain in Windows 7 mode.
    1. It makes no difference if I used the copy function with the computer shut off OR when I send a print job from the computer, the paper feeds into the printer and stops at the exact place to start printing but nothing happens.
    2. Error message appears that it is out of paper. OR that it is the wrong size paper.  I pull the paper that was at the proper place to be printed from the printer and then the error message says "Paper jam.  Press OK to continue"
    3.  I press OK.  The printer will then quickly feed in and eject 2 sheets of paper before it will actually start printing the print job.  It will work fine after this as long as I print from the same document.
    4.  If I shut the printer off OR if I want to print from a different document then I have to start all over again at step 1 to get the printer to work. 
    I have already tried the typical fixes such as:
    A.  Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer driver direct from HP web site several times with both the basic driver and the complete package download.
    B.  I have done a partial and full reset. I have done this several times.  Each time it will work fine until I try a different document of turn off the printer.
    C. I have used the HP Print and Scan Doctor and it states that "everything checks out OK"
    D.  I have cleaned all the rollers and blown air throughout to make sure there were no bits of junk in the paper's path or blocking a sensor.
    E.  I have tried different brands and weights of paper (all 8½  x 11) but nothing works.
    F.  I was told to try new HP ink cartridges but now the printer will not align the cartridges

    During the standard uninstall, some components are left behind that could cause errors in new installations. I'm betting that if you do a full software scrub, and clean up the computer a bit, the printer will install and work like it should. I'll provide the steps below. Let me know what happens.
    From a download:
    1. Run disk cleanup on your computer
    2. Download and run the software and drivers below.

    3. Once the download is done extracting, cancel the download.
    4. Click the start menu.
    5. Click Run.
    6. Type %temp% in the run field
    7. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
    8. Open folder Util
    9. Open folder CCC
    10. Run the uninstall_ L4.bat for non-HP computers.
    11. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
    12. Access Program Files and Program Files(x86) and delete the HP folder under each one.
    13. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools
    14. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

    It appears all the time already from the beginning after installing Firefox 4.

    Thanks a lot. The Ask toolbar created this problem. Another problem is: When searching on the web via Google, normally it is possible to type a few letters and then look what appears and then click on the wanted word(s). A number of word(s) ineed do appear, however it is not possible to select any of them as ws possible as mentioned in olders versions.

  • IPod Touch Won't Update to iOS5 without error message (-43) stating all contents will be deleted. How can I update without everything being deleted?

    I have an iPod Touch 3rd generation (Model A1318). For the last several months I keep trying to update to iOs 5 and it gets stuck during the backup phase and an error message pops up:
    As half of my songs are not iTunes purchases, therefor not on the cloud, I do not want to start from scratch and have everything deleted. Also, Apple does not allow you to extract songs back off the pod easily to backup, so it would present a serious hassle reuploading hundreds of songs from CDS etc. Can anyone help explain this message? Has anyone hit continue with the update occurring smoothly without anything being erased? Any guidance much appreciated. I tried several times disabling my anti virus software during the process like others have said on the boards and in the Apple store but the same message and outcome. For reference, I'm using Windows Vista and the most recent iTunes 10.6.1.

    The automatic iTunes backup does not contain any synced items like apps, music (either iTunes purchases or not). There is no difference in what is backed up. See:

    You may have a problem with an extension if you do not keep settings.

    Basically I want to replace the Ajax Control Toolkit Slider in favor of the Component One Studio for iPhone Slider for better mobile/desktop consistency (the ajax slider doesn't work well with iPhone). I created a simple page that works on every browser and platform (iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows) except Firefox, which fails on every platform. I have already tried disabling all plugins (safe mode) and clearing cache, I have also tried this with different versions of Firefox on different platforms. I posted this error on the Component One forum but since this only occurs with Firefox I believe this is a Firefox issue.
    I searched for this error on the forums and Google but didn’t get any results:

    Visit the same URL with IE, Chrome or Safari and there is no error. If I click [OK] the page loads normally enough for me. Is there some JavaScript or CSS line I can put in the page to make Firefox ignore the error? If so that would be great because even if there is a fix put into Firefox itself there will be those millions of users out there that will not upgrade.

    hey guys just got off the phone and solved my problem. i have a 6+ and my mac is a core duo macbook from 2006 on snow leopard.
    this is what i did:
    download and install a clean copy of 11.4 (even if its already installed, run the installer again)
    click the following link to empty your syncing cache. following the instructions for your operating system
    restart itunes and voila!

  • I have windows 8, 64 bit.  I am trying to install ITunes 64 bit installer, but keep getting an error message that says a .DLL file is missing.  How can I fix this?

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

    I've been looking for a color laser printer that can load very thin paper, about 50-55 gsm, like those ncr paper.
    I just gonna print occasionally on these kind of paper so my daily load still regular 70 gsm A4 paper.
    I search on every printers' spec but couldnt find this info.
    Anybody know and willing to share which type / model support this features ?

    I understand you're looking to find some more specific information in regards to power surges on Laserjet model printers. I believe I can help out with this!
    If you click here you can see one of HP's consumer Laserjet printers, and if you click on Specs below the picture of the printer and scroll down to Power & operating requirements, it gives the information you're looking for under Power consumption. This printer indicates the difference between when it's printing, ready (idle), auto-off and manual-off.

    C3180 Photosmart All-in-one won't print. Gives message  'clear paper jam.'  There is no paper jam.  About a month ago there was a paper jam, but was removed.  It worked fine since then until yesterday.  I've tried all the HP trouble-shooting suggestions- unplug, take apart, manually move carriage, etc. and nothing has solved the problem.  The paper does not advance...all that happens if I try to print is a lot of noise like carriage going back and forth and after a/b 1-2 minutes it will show the "red X" blinking on the printer and a message on the computer screen, "Clear paper jam."  When the problem first started yesterday the message was that the printer was "Out of paper."  I need to print a resume and this is just the wrong time for someone such as myself with little computer knowledge to try to figure it out.  Thanks for any suggestions!
