Hello, can i share itunes match with the other members of my family?

No, sharing match is not included in the family share. The only way is to use the same Apple id on all devices but this may present problems if your family members have their own Apple id.

Can I share itune match on separate iCloud accounts my wife just got iPhone

Yes.  iTunes Match is tied to the Apple ID you have set for purchasing in Settings>iTunes & App Stores.  You can share your ID for purchasing, and thus iTunes Match, and still maintain separate iCloud accounts using a different ID on one or both phones.  The ID you use for purchasing does not need to be the same as the one used for other services such as iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, etc.

  • Multiple ipads with icloud accounts share itunes match

    Hi,
I've got some iPad / iPhones here in the family which have differend iCloud accounts.
I can't really combine these, as all the members have differend agenda's, email etc.
We always bought music on a family account. Worked just fine with syncing.
Now I've bought iTunes Match, for Apple TV it works, for the macbooks it works, but for the ipad's and iphones I can't seem to enter my family-account into the iCloud details to get it working.
How can I let the ipad/iphones work with iTunes Match, without losing the seperate agenda's, mail, etc.?

Your iCloud account is a separate account to your iTunes store account, just make sure the iTunes account ID you use for the iTunes store is entered correctly in settings > store.

  • Sharring iTunes Match

Hello All... I am new to iTunes Match. I've imported a bunch of CD's and it works great on my iPhone but I just got married and it doesn't work on my wife's iPhone because she has a different Apple ID for her phone.   My question is:  How do I change the Apple ID on my wife's iPhone 4 so her phone can become on of the 10 devices allowed to share my iTunes Match account? I know it's probably not hard to do, but I can't seem to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

I Just rebooted my phone and it reloaded my music.

  • Share itunes match across users

I use Itunes across mine and my partners devices (as you would share a CD you have purchased).  Can I do the same with itunes match , allowing access to one match account with another ipad/iphone with a separate apple account ?

    Hi,
You must have the same account for match to work on other devices.

  • How does Family Sharing work if both members have iTunes Match subscriptions?

I wanted to add someone to my family sharing in the new iOS 8 but we both have separate iTunes match subscriptions. How are those two subscriptions effected if she is added to my family sharing or are the two match accounts merged? Any advice on this would be great.

I'm still trying to figure out this family sharing thing, but I THINK the other person will still be logged in with their own apple id, so they would have access to their own iTunes match, and not yours.  I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to "family share" iTunes match.  Like I said, i'm still working on it, but so far on the one account i've set it up on, I didn't have to log that user out.

  • When will iTunes Match be a supported part of the IOS8 Family Share?

    Hello,
I was originally happy with the new Family Share capabilities of IOS8.  However, happiness turned to disappointment when I discovered that iTunes Match content CANNOT be shared amongst family members unless they are using the App Store ID where the iTunes Match subscription is based, defeating the the benefits of the Family Share.
My household consists of a Macbook Pro (OS X 10.9.5) with the iTunes (11.4.18) Library , 4 iPhones (2 x iPhone 6, 1 iPhone 5C, and 1 iPhone 4S all running IOS8) and 4 iPads (2 iPad Air and 2 iPad II all running IOS8).  Before the Family share, the IOS devices shared the iTunes match library where the users could select which songs they wanted to download, and purchases made by them could be added to the library.  Two of the 4 sets of devices are owned by my children, who are in their early teens.  Why is it stated that you can "share music" among family members when that capability actually seems very limited with this new Family Share setup.  Once the App Store ID is set to the Apple ID of the individual user, such as one of my children, the library and selections they originally had were removed and the option to turn iTunes Match on or off under Music Setup turned into "Subscribe to iTunes Match", which would cost each family member an additional $24.99 a year for a service that cost nothing for my other family members.
I realize there are ways to share music, such as having my Mac powered up with iTunes running, and the other devices selecting the library as a Share, seeing all music physically on the Mac and in the subscriber iTunes library.  Also, the other users can look at family purchases, select the subscriber to iTunes Match, and see "purchased" items.  However, that list is a subset of the overall library of over 6000 songs, which consists of CDs that were imported into iTunes.  One of my children uses the iPhone while she exercises and runs.  She will now lose the playlists she created with this new "Family Share", which does not have sharing of one of the biggest pool of items I wanted shared, or were shared before this new setup.
In short, is there any plan to give customers the benefits of the Family Share plan, and truly allow the sharing of one of the most shared resources in at least our family, the iTunes Match collection?  Another question is WHY is iTunes match not a supported part of the Family Share?
Thanks in advance for any insight that can be provided on this issue!

Others have asked this question as well.  If there is a plan to change this it hasn't been announced.  The best way to influence the decision is to provide your feedback to Apple here: https://www.apple.com/support/feedback/.  If enough people do, it's more likely to change.

  • ICloud family sharing and iTunes Match

    Apple,
I have setup iCloud family sharing accounts for my household as it is definitely a more convenient way to 'approve' of apps for my kids' devices. Unfortunately, I discovered that Apple has not included the ability to share iTunes Match content to family users. This creates a problem as the kids don't have separate computers and I don't intend to create separate iTunes libraries for them on the same computer where I would end up having duplicate libraries. Even if I accept that issue I would have to subscribe to match for 4 people in my house to the tune of $99.96 a year. This is NOT feasible and so now I find my self evaluating the benefit/future need for even my iTunes Match subscription. At this point, I am moving all of my music that was "matched" to my NAS and will have everyone access it using an iOS app. The thing is that this doesn't fit the, "it just works" commitment that Apple offered to it's users. It may be that you are limited by the labels/RIAA and they will not allow you to pass the matched content through family sharing but you are making a compelling case for my to just drop my Match subscription even though I have subscribed to it since you first offered it. My subscription is up for renewal in January 2015 so let's see if you fix this issue by then.

    Hi,
You are not addressing Apple here. This is a user to user forum. Suggest you provide feedback to Apple https://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

  • Can a family share an iTunes library.

Can a family share iTunes music, podcasts, etc.

You can't. But iDevices don't count. So you should be able to share the 5 computers.

  • Can I access my kids family share account from my iTunes account? It's the master account.

I Have kids with family share iTunes accounts off of my master iTunes account. Is there a way I can get into their account from my Mac or iPad to check their account balance or even say, add a gift card to their account without having their iPads in front of me.

I'd like to know if this is possible too.  It would be easier to be able to add things to my Apple TV wish list using my laptop.

  • Sharing iTunes Match

Can I share iTunes Match with my family and friends?

That depends on how you're using the word "sharing." The iTunes Match service is designed to be a single-user service. It is associated with one and only one iTunes Store account ID. So for other people to be able to use your iTunes Match on their devices they must be signed into the iTunes Store with your account ID credentials. This means they will have full access to your account, your purchase history, and will be able to make purchases on your account.
You may want to familiarize yourself with the iTunes Store TOS: <http://www.apple.com/legal/itunes/us/terms.html#SERVICE>.

  • Family share and iTunes Match

I am interested in signing up for iTunes match, but only if I can share the music media with my wife. I understand that if she signs in with my apple account she would have access to all the content, but I don't want to do that.
If I start using the family share option, will my content from iTunes match also be available to her or just the purchases made through apple?

    Mhollenbeck,
Family Sharing enables sharing of content purchased from the iTunes Store.  It does not enable general sharing of all the content in your library:
When you join a family, you'll be asked to confirm the Apple ID that you regularly use....  Purchases from this account will be shared with your family members.
