FAQ--HOW TO RE-UPLOAD RUN DATA TO NIKE+

People keep needing this. So I'm re-posting instructions on how to re-upload your runs that have not posted to your Nike+ web-site. Hopefully, the subject line on this will make it easier for people to find when they are browsing for help.

"Since Nike+ says they are not working on allowing re-uploading, I decided to help myself if I could. It worked. So I will share what I did. However, I have taught computers and have been amazed by the ingenuity of inexperienced users. Amazed at what can go wrong! If anyone wants to try this, they do so at their own risk. I am only reporting what I did to fix my problem. I am NOT telling anyone to try it. Just the opposite.
That said, here goes:
PRELIMINARY STEPS:
Make sure your Mac shows your file extensions. (If you don't even know what those are don't go any further.)
(Not sure if the next bit is necessary but it's what I did because I did not want ANY auto linking to happen! )
Connect your Nano to your computer. Go to Ipod options and UNCHECK the the box for the auto upload to Nike+. Also unckeck the box for auto opening itunes when Ipod is connected. Close itunes. Disconnect Ipod then reconnect.
Use this application "Visibles" http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/mac/14722 to make the invisible files visible then go from there.
THE ACTUAL FIX:
1. Open ipod as a storage device. (Ipod_Control is a hidden fiolder, so you need to make it Visible before you can do any of this. See above!
2. Look for the folders
Ipod_Control >Device>Trainer>Workouts>Empeds>4H626KXBVSX>Synched
( I archived the Workouts folder and stored it on my hard-drive, just as a back-up.)
3. Find the .xml files ( looks like 2006.... blah, blah.xml) that are missing from your Nike+ account. Drag them back to the folder "Latest"
4. Open itunes and see if ipod is showing there. if not, eject ipod (if it's still showing as storage device), then disconnect and reconnect.
6. Ipod should show in itunes. Go to ipod options and check the auto uploud to Nike+ box. (Contrary to what it says on Apple's help page, there is no manual upload option.) Click OK.
7. The upload of your missing runs should then happen. (Mine did.)
8. You should get asked if you want to go to Nike+. You should see your missing runs when you get there.

This is AWESOME . . . thank you for posting this information. Your tutorial actually allowed me to kill three birds with one stone:
(1) I forgot the sensor for my iPod on two important runs. I used comparable .xml files off of my iPod and cloned them and then changed the dates (two locations within the .xml file and the file name itself) accordingly to get a close approximation into my iPod. I moved this file into the "latest" folder to perform the synch.
(2) Somehow my last ten runs (unsynched) were showing up as 01/01/2000, 01/02/2000, etc. I'm not sure how this happened but I suspect it had something to do with letting the battery run too low. So I edited the .xml files and changed the dates.
(3) Two of my runs wouldn't synch - I kept getting a message stating that the runs couldn't be loaded to the Nike.com server. I moved these to the "latest" folder.
Voila! I now have a complete history of my runs since I started using this. Thanks again!

Nike+ support says they will NOT make it possible to re-upload run data!

If you want Nike+ to allow you to manually upload run data and /or if you want to be able to re-upload run data from your Nano, LET THEM KNOW!

I just got off the phone with Nike+ with Christian in Web-site Support. He acknowledges that there are "technical issues' with the Nike+ site that are being addressed. They are getting lots of phone calls from users about problems. However, he also says that "You cannot re-upload run data to Nike+ nor are there any plans to allow this."
He understands this is frustrating for users and aplogizes.
He agrees that it would be good if users could re-upload run data that is still on their Nano but is either incorrect or missing from their Nike+ site, but this will not be allowed and no one is working on making this possible. He gave no explanation as to why they will not allow this and are not working on it.
If this is true, this really *****! It means that if your run data is incorrect now, it will always be incorrect. Same for your goals. So you have to ask yourself how useful is the Nike+ web-site if you cannot trust it to keep your run data safe?!

Fair points but I just wonder
how much leverage users have when a system is unique
and free.
I would hope that Nike+ would want its users to be raving about their product, not ranting about it. Happy customers tell other happy customers. So do unhappy customers. In my experience, unhappy folks share their opinion more than happy folks. If the Nike+ web-site is more flash than function and people hear that their run data once entered on Nike+ can only be deleted but never corrrected or re-uploaded then word will get around. Reveiewers are probably writing reviews as we speak. Bloggers are blogging. That's got to affect sales. So Nike should have a huge incentive to improve their Nike+ web-site.
I would have like to have seen the
data held and displayed in iTunes itself before being
uploaded to Nike+ only if we wished. ......If it were held in iTunes then we >could re-load data on to Nike+WS if required.
That might be a good solution. It also would get Apple involved with directly with the data storage issue. Unless they just want to deal with hardware end and leave the Nike+ data storage headache with Nike+.

I dont see any difficulties in doing BDC upload for J1ID, You have to record by giving the New Entries button and then enter all the details of customers using table control technique.

Hi,
I think at least there are four methods for batch input which you can use in SAP system:
Standard mass change t-code: for example, MM17 for mass change of material master data, you can find the mass change t-code under the relevant function module;
T-code SCAT, you can use to record and generate the simple batch input template, it's easy to use for key user;
T-code LSMW, it's another transaction to generate batch input template, it's often used at the beginning of SAP rollout;
ABAP program, of course, ABAP is a universal tool for everything, you can use ABAP to generate a batch input program to upload data into SAP system as well.
So you had better contact your SAP support department, help you to upload data!

How can we upload longtext data in BDC?

i want to upload data for a transaction QA11.
In that i have to upload data for fields
QALS-PRUEFLOS',
RQEVA-VCODEGRP,
RQEVA-VCODE'
and one text field (255) is there in that transction.
How can i update that text(255) in to database from internal table.
ie.how can i upload longtext in BDC.?

Hi,
The uploading of the long text into the transaction can be done in the same way as you do it for other fields. If the flat file from which you upload contains the long text refer that field in your recording and the field would get uploaded into the transaction.
For updating in the database table use the insert statement in case of new records to be updated or the modify statement in case of altering the already existing records in the DB table.

How to display ETL run date in the title view of any report.

Hello Expert,
I have a requirment to show the ETL run date in the title of the report.
Eg: " Sales Vs target Report : Data loaded as on date: <ETL run date>.
The ETL run date is coming in the fact table.
I am working on the OBIEE 11.1.1.5. So pla help if it is possibe.

I tried to do the same. but unable to achieve. I did the following,
1. Created a init block with SQL which extract the value of ETL rundate ans associate with a repository variable (ETL_RUN_DATE). This init block was retriving the data.
I put the folowing in the Title as well as sub title view:
Data loaded as on date: (@{biServer.variables[ETL_RUN_DATE]})
I also tried to put Data loaded as on date: @{repository.ETL_RUN_DATE} this also didnot worked.
So could you please provide me the steps with actual syntax, then it willbe very much helpful for me.

How to I upload ics. data to my online email program?

I am a bit confused about uploading my iCal data to my online e-Mail account, which is hosted by strato.
I don't wish to publish it to a site. Here is the window I get for publishing:
As I understand it, the calender will land in a site folder, not in my e-Mail program. Is that correct? I only want the file for my own purposes.

Like I said, I am not publishing to my site, I only want to upload the data to my calendar. If I upload directly from Strato, I can only upload one event at a time, which takes longer than typing the thing out. (I have to figure out which event is the one I want to upload. Strato acts very non-Mac, no drag and drop.)
I would like to upload recurring data, which doesn't follow any sort of logic (events that recur cycle of 36 days, like my husbands schedule) as well as things that would just take too long to continually write them over and over.
And yes, Strato includes a calendar and an address book, which is why I'm asking my question in the first place. But thanks for trying to help me, anyway.

Uploading workout data to nike+

up until sunday 28th Jan all was working fine. it's now 31st Jan and i'm having problems uploadind workout data to Nike+.
Message comes up "site temporarily unavailable try again later". has been like this last 2 days. Is anyone else having this problem now? or is it my system?

i dont think its your system nor is it the itunes software but simply the nike + website not working at the time you tried uploading your run data. but to be sure make sure your oprtion to automatically send the info to the website is checked thru itunes.

How do I upload cd data in itunes 11?

In previous versions of iTunes, you could upload data to CDDB or Gracenote. Sometimes I buy obscure CDs which iTunes can find no data for.
I cannot find any facility for this in iTunes 11. Am I missing something, or has the functionality been removed?

It looks like this functionality is now below the "Options" icon in the upper-right-hand corner of the window.

How To Access Uploaded File Data Prior To CFFILE

Can anyone say why #GetHttpRequestData().content# is empty when I upload files using the conventional input type="file" and form method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" HTML?
My goal is to inspect the binary data before using cffile action="upload". Is there a way to do this through CF or perhaps Java? Thanks.

Supposing the form field is <input type="file" name="myUpload">, then you could simply intercept the uploaded binary like this:

How users can upload excelsheet data through the application page....

I want to make my application in such a way that the users of the application can import data from an excel sheet to the respective tables through the page.Once the users browses the file and clicks on the submit button,the whole data from the excel sheet should go to the respective tables.The thing is that as the work of uploading is done at the back-end...it can also be done at front-end in the application itself.Also,i need to validate the data before inserting it.Please can you advice me on this.........

How do i resend workout data to Nike?

I have an Ipod mini, 7th generation, with Itunes version 10.7
I am having trouble synching my workouts from my ipod to nike+, i am only able to get them to upload some of the time and therefore have a large gap in my Nike+ profile of rus that i have actually done. I can still see the runs on my Ipod and the data also shows up in the Nike+ screen, but i cant get them to sync over to the actual Nike website, is there a way to resend this data?

That didnt apper to help, although what i think has happened is my ipod and itunes think the data was sent but Nike+ never recieved it. But i can still see the workouts on my ipod, just not in nike+

How can we upload the Time data into SAP system

Dear all,
ingeneral which method we can use to read the Time data and how can we upload that data into SAP system. Please any one can answer this asap.

In the recent project that I have done.. the time data is uploaded from the external time recording machine.. in the form a file...
The other way is through CATS... which in turn will populate the time entries as per hte work schedules... and will explicitly have to populate the deviations to the work scheudle by going through transactions..
