LMDB - SLD "Source and target system have the same object server name"

Hi,
the system is a SM7.1 SP1
For some reason (Object-Server-Name changed), the job that syncs the sld and lmdb cancels...
I set the LMDB-Object-Server-Name to its original Name...
Now i've deleted the sync-config in the solman_setup and try to start a new sync, but i get the following error, when i try to configure the source-system:
'Source and target system have the same object server name: CISM318'
But the names are different: 'SM3' (LMDB) and 'CISM318' (SLD)
Any suggestions ?

problem solved...
Apparently the sync needs some hours to finish a object-server-name-change...

Lock Objects
These types of objects are used for locking the access to database records in table. This mechanism is used to enforce data integrity that is two users cannot update the same data at the same time. With lock objects you can lock table-field or whole table.
In a system where many users can access the same data, it becomes necessary to control the access to the data. In R/3 system this access control is built-in on database tables. Developers can also lock objects over table records.
To lock an object you need to call standard functions, which are automatically generated while defining the lock object in ABAP/4 dictionary. This locking system is independent of the locking mechanism used by the R/3 system. This mechanism also defines LUW i.e. Logical Unit of Work. Whenever an object is locked, either by in built locking mechanism or by function modules, it creates corresponding entry in global system table i.e. table is locked. The system automatically releases the lock at the end of transaction. The LUW starts when a lock entry is created in the system table and ends when the lock is released.
Creating Lock Objects
Lock object is an aggregated dictionary object and can be defined by using the following steps:
o From initial data dictionary screen, enter the name for the object, Click Lock object radiobutton and then click on Create. The system displays a dialog box for Maintain Lock Objects screen
o Enter short text as usual and the name for primary table.

-Select Tables option
From this screen you can:
Select secondary tables, if any, linked by foreign key relationship.
Fields for the lock objects. This option allows you to select fields for objects (R/3 system allows locking up to record level). Lock object argument are not selected by user but are imposed by the system and includes all the primary keys for the table.
1) Exclusive lock: The locked data can only be displayed or edited by a single user. A request for another exclusive lock or for a shared lock is rejected.
2) Shared lock: More than one user can access the locked data at the same time in display mode. A request for another shared lock is accepted, even if it comes from another user. An exclusive lock is rejected.
3) Exclusive but not cumulative: Exclusive locks can be requested several times from the same transaction and are processed successively. In contrast, exclusive but not cumulative locks can be called only once from the same transaction. All other lock requests are rejected.
Also, last but not the least, locking the object is logical (locking with any enqueue ) .so, you have to use the lock object while trying to access from second program .

Transport request no for the abap object

Hi experts,
                  I want to know the transport request numbers for the abap objects. Can anybody tell me the procedure of how to know the transport request number?
My approach : I want the transport request number for the function module.Open the functional module. go to Object Directory Entry and click on Lock Overview.
it is displaying the 1.Request   2.User   3.Task/request   4.Object.      What is the main difference between Request and Task/request.
For some programs it is not displaying the request number. Instead it is displaying the request locks.

I have purchased the book "ABAP Objects" by Keller and Kruger. I attempted to install Minisap and ran into a lot of problems. I suspect that I need the most recent version of this product that runs on Windows XP. Can anyone direct me to place where I may download Minisap without having to pay for it again! I really have to say that it shouldn't be this difficult to install a product that is used for training and education. So far I've spent more time trying to install than learning ABAP.

Most of the issues with trying to install this are either answered by the html documents on the kernel disc or by the FAQ doc at www.IT-minds.com search on ABAP and look for the resources.
One issue these documents will not solve is, if you have / had a version of SQLserver installed. As the disc only uses the MSinstaller_01 and can only use the default instance of MS SQLserver2000 desktop engine (MSDE2000).

Notification: Set priority and dates, based on the reference object

Hello,
I'm searching for an idea/solution, to set the priority of a notification automatically, depending on the entered reference object (F/L or equi).
I.e. I want to classify the F/Ls and equis with a priority (e.g. via the classification, or F/L / equi master data). When the user creates a notification, and enters a F/L or equi, the priority should be selected from the object and set automatically.

thank you for your answer. Unfortunatelly both user-exits seem not to work for my problem.
QQMA0025: Default values when adding a notification
Priority and dates can be modified, but in this step you don't have the functional location. I thought, I can send a popup in this user-exit, to ask for the functional location, but the functional location is deleted in a later step (before the 1st display of the notification header), i.e. the user has to enter it again.
QQMA0018: Deadline setting based on entered priority
Here you can only modify the dates / times, but not the priority.
Another show stopper is, that the exits will only be processed once, i.e. in both cases, a change of the functional location doesn't adjust the dates/times.
It seems, that exit "Before saving the notification" (as far as I remember QQMA0014) could be a solution.
I see 2 problems ->
1. the user enters the F/L or equi and nothing happens to the priority / dates -> sending a popup in the saving process to inform the user about the changes, could be a solution.
2. What to do, when the user has already maintained priority and/or dates/times?
I will have a look, if there are enhancement spots in the notification program. Perhaps this can help me (or better - my boss ).

I am having problems with viewing flash plugins on websites. it seems that the firefox 5 is inlarging the flash piece thus skuing the image and inabling features of the flash object itself.

most important issues i am having are the following are as follows:
1) on www.alliedelec.com the main image in the flash rotating banner is skued from being enlarged.
2)http://www.alliedelec.com/eaton-control-automation/ on the bottom of the page there is a flash video player which is missing the controlbar at the bottom and cutting off the video previews on the side due to the flash oject being enlarged.
i have checked this in older versions of firefox and other browsers and ff5 is the only browser which is having an issue and one in need fixed asap.
Please Help!!!!

Make sure that you aren't zooming anything on that page.
