  • Adobe Revel Support For webDVD and Videos

    Could I get clarification on
As of today October 7, 2013....
    a. Videos. I read somewhere that currently only .mov files are supported by Adobe Revel. Is that true? If so, please
define .mov since that is just as wrapper format that can come with a variety of video and audio compressons. Are
we talking H.264.mov or something else? If applicable, what other video formats are supported by Adobe Revel?
    b. webDVD. It is my recollection that photoshop.com supported the upload and viewing of the webDVD. If my
recollection is correct, what is Adobe Revel's support for the Premiere Elements created webDVD?
    Thanks for the information requested.

  • I ordered an Adobe Revel app on a 30 free trial which donwloaded successfully. I am surprised and annoyed to have been billed already for £3.99 after only 3 days. How do I cancel this app as it doesn't do what I want

I ordered an Adobe Revel app on a 30 free trial which downloaded successfully. However I find it isn't what I require but have already been debited £3.99 after only 3 days? How can I stop this monthly billing and why is a 30 free trial not what is advertised?

Instructions for canceling a Revel subscription are posted here:  http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/revel_how_to_turn_on_off_a uto_renewal_for_subscription_billing
You only get charged for Revel if you choose the monthly or yearly paid subscription options, which indicate their prices before you complete the purchase.  If you choose the "complimentary 30 days" option instead, you get full use of Revel for 30 days, and you won't be charged at all -- unless you later choose to upgrade to one of the paid options.

  • FAQ: How much does Adobe Revel cost?

Adobe Revel is free. You can import as many photos as you want for the first 30 days. Then, you are limited to 50 photo imports every month. If you'd like to import more than 50 photos, consider upgrading to Revel Premium. With Revel Premium, you can imported an unlimited number of photos for $5.99 per month. You can upgrade to Revel Premium by doing an in-app purchase in Revel. For more information about Revel free and premium accounts, see the Revel FAQ.

You can find the pricing info of Photoshop CS6 on this page: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop.html or on the Adobe Store of your country.
If you intend to purchase several programs, check also the prices for the Creative Suites: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite.html?promoid=JOLIS and the new Creative Cloud option: http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud.html?promoid=JQPEQ as it might be a better option for you.

  • What is going on with the Adobe Revel app?

The latest upgrade of Revel does not download. I cannot access my photos and there is no customer service. Adobe has dropped the ball here and I am upset that nothing can be done. Has anyone found a work around or a solution?

  • What do I do to make Elements Organizer 13 upload pictures to Adobe Revel?

I can't sign in to Adobe Revel to sync my photos. When I try to sign it it says there is a error contacting the server. I can open my web browser and go to Revel account and view the pictures I have already uploaded  so I know my password is not the problem. I am running Windows 7 with 64 bit system on a HP computor

    Hi Brian
A DVI-A connector supports analogue signals only, a DVI-D connector supports digital signals only and a DVI-I connector supports both analogue and digital signals. Most graphic cards seem to have DVI-I connectors so they're compatible with both analogue and digital displays, even if a DVI-VGA adaptor is required.
A Radeon 8500 should be ideal as it works in a X2 AGP slot and has OS 9 and OS X suppport. You'd connect your existing CRT monitor to the VGA connector (I assume it's VGA) and your new LCD to the DVI connector, which would work whether the LCD is analogue or digital (most are digital like the Dell and Apple LCDs).
The Radeon 9000 is a newer but mainstream card, where as the 8500 was high end of release. Consequently it isn't any more powerful than the 8500 and has an ADC connector which your PowerMac doesn't support anyway.
The Radeon 9600 Pro Mac & PC Edition wouldn't work as it requires a X4 or X8 AGP slot.
That just leaves the Radeon 9800 which would work but like you say it's more expensive and requires an internal power connection. I believe it also lacks full OS 9 support although extensions are provided so the computer will at least boot and recognise the card. You also need a fairly powerful main processor to take full advantage of it.
However, the Radeon 8500 would give you Quartz Extreme support but not Core Image support, whereas the 9800 supports both.
    I hope this helps.

  • Adobe Revel and Elements 11

i am totally confused with the 'new' revel; i put the free app on my iphone, but i do not use my phone for editing pics, i use a dell laptop w/older version of elements (7). how do i get my photos that are stored on my laptop to go to revel; i spoke with adobe and they told me that the version 11 of elements was free if i purchased a premium subscription to revel??? how do i do this for my laptop; i do not want all my photos on my iphone. is revel a storage unit or what exactly is it and how do i use it on laptop? thanks. CatW.

    Cat-
Sorry for the confusion, here's the deal on Revel.  Revel is a photo sharing and cloud storage app that is based on a modern technology platform and was designed from its inception to employ new technologies. Revel was designed to address the changing needs introduced by the new multi-device world we now live in and has a focus on archiving, organization, and sharing across devices.  It is currently available for Mac and iOS, as well as on the web at  Adoberevel.com.  It keeps your photos organized in libraries and albums within Revel. If you choose, you can use the editing tools in the Revel apps to make quick changes to your photos. You can also share albums privately  on AdobeRevel.com by emailing a link, or share chosen photos publicly on your favorite social networks. Photos in Revel are automatically synced across all your devices, so you always have access to your latest photos no matter where you are or what device you happen to be using. Since they are stored on the cloud, you do not need to allocate space on every device for the same photos.
If you use an older version of Elements to edit your photos, you can save files to your hard drive and then upload them to Revel from there. If you upgrade to Elements 11, then you upload directly from Revel. Either way, the photos can get there. If you are already  a paying customer of Elements plus or Photoshop.com for extra storage, then you get a free year of Revel Premium. That gives you unlimited uploads. Otherwise, you can use the free version of Revel and havce 50 uploads a month included. Space is unlimited.  I hope that helps. Post again if my answer and the FAQ's below do not answer it all for you.

  • Do I need Adobe Revel if all I have is a PC?

I own a PC only, no MAC, iPhone, iPad or other mobile device.
Do I have any need for Adobe Revel?
Is it safe and compatible with my PC?
Do I need it to access Photoshop?
I received an email stating that I have had Adobe Revel for 30 days.  It may be senility, but I can recall nothing, what photos I uploaded or what I did to them.
All I recall is the name Adobe Revel and that it works on the Cloud.
I am computer savvy, but need to lighten my mental load of things I do not use regularly.      I learn to navigate then forget the site and have to learn all over.

It is your choice if you want or need Revel. It is not required.  It does, however give you a place to store photos in the cloud and share them with others if you desire. You can use Photoshop Elements without it, or  you can upload/download from elements if you desire. Why not try it and see? It is free!

  • I need to know how to download all photos AND videos from 2 "libraries" within Adobe Revel. Please help.

I was quite angered last night when I posted the first time, so lets try this again:
Here is my setup:  I have adobe Revel on my Mac and iOS devices and it has worked quite well to be honest until I recently realized my photos and videos are basically trapped within the software. There is no way (that I am aware) to export all photos/videos or any kind of tool to pull the raw data out of the app and put it into say iPhoto or Lightroom.
Since I am not a fan of this sort of lock-in, (something I despise and encourage companies never to do), I am sadly going to cancel my Revel account once I get this sorted and store my photos elsewhere. This is a huge missed opportunity for Adobe, as the money is not an issue - its simply that the quality of service I need just doesn't seem to be there for this product.
So here is what I am trying to achieve:  I simply want every one of my photos and videos to store on my hard drive like the old days.  I don't care about folders or hirarcy or any kind of organization - I can do that with the metadata later. I simply want all of my things.
My hang up is in that I have already tried methods like "Show package contents" in the photos/adobe revel route and that works to an extent, but is incredibly cumbersome as I have to sift through all of the many folders.  If that were the worst of it, I might be ok.  But what is truly alarming and making this difficult is that I don't know where on earth the videos in Revel are actually stored.  They show up in the application and I could export them one by one but I literally have hundreds.  I can't find the actual files on my Mac anywhere.
Is there anyone at all who can help with this?  The goal is to make this transition fairly easy and I feel that Adobe has very intentionally made it very difficult to consider leaving. I spend >$50/month on Adobe services and I am a little in shock this application seems so poorly designed for anything other than just dropping your photos into it.  Please, please help if you can.  I would be so grateful as Adobe customer service doesn't seem to know or care much about supporting this product.

    Hi KDT
Yeah. I agree, if you are used to a situation where "it's on the cloud AND synced down to your hard disk where you can get it" Revel is not exactly that. There were legacy decisions behind that - most not as sinister as you might think but I won't bore you with those details.  AND yes you are correct. We currently don't have any way for you to wholesale download everything at once. So you aren't missing anything. Until we provide that mechanism I can provide some guidance.
I'm going to assume you have the current version of Revel on your Mac which is 2.0.
The easiest thing for you to do will be to export your files manually. You can actually select a range of files and export. So it's not a one by one thing.
You'll have to decide how best to perform the selection based on your photography habits. If you tend to take batches of files surrounding specific dates. You could do it by date. In the date view (In the applications upper right "Showing: Dates"). If you look at the end of a date row you'll see a small grid. If you click that grid you are taking into a grid view of just that date. If you select all and file>export you'll export the contents of that date.
The other option is remaining in Grid view (In the applications upper right "Showing:Grid") and perform a shift+selection where you select your first file, move down the desired range and while holding shift you select a second file (standard multi-select stuff).
One thing to keep in mind as you do this. You'll notice when you export you can export original or 'current version'. Export original does just that. Exports unedited original versions of your images as they were uploaded to us. When you export the current version of an image we'll export a rendition of the edited image. This "current version" image is not the original and in most cases will be a rendition that is not the same size as the original. So keep that in mind as you proceed.
Not ideal, I fully realize, but I do hope it gets you closer to having your images back on your hard disk as you desire.
As for your subscription. Assure you have checked your iOS Appstore subscription settings and set Revel to not auto-renew. Unfortunately for a pro-rated refund on the subscription balance you no longer desire you'll need to work with Apple as they hold the purse strings for Appstore purchases. Refunds haven't been a problem in the past so you should have no issue.
    Hope this helps.
    Jason
