NetWeaver

ESA
这是一个架构，是SAP提供的基于服务的完整业务解决方案的蓝图，可帮助企业建立起一套框架，使企业能够在此基础上更快地开发新系统，并简化将应用与先进技术整合到业务流程中的过程。从SAP提供的ESA蓝图中看出，包含四层。其中，SAP NetWeaver 是实现这一蓝图的技术平台。
ESOA
SAP的官方解释是：u201C在ESOA体系中，企业的基本业务被封装成一个个结构相似、功能不同的服务，搭建及改变业务流程的过程，随即变成了服务组合及配置的过程。u201D
在查找一些资料后，其详细解释应该为：u201CSAP把原来的ERP、SCM、CRM等企业应用全部打散，并对这些系统的核心内容进行研究，然后把原来的系统提炼成一个一个针对主要业务功能的模块，比如企业处理应收帐款的内容？处理销售订单的内容？等，把这些分解成一个个较小的应用之后做成企业服务，是基于网络服务（Web Service)但加上业务的内容，把这些企业服务存在企业服务库（Enterprise Service Repository)中，在这个服务基础上企业就可以根据自己的业务需求来选择不同的软件组合方案。u201D
从我的了解来看，SAP目前还没有达到这个层次，只不过通过NetWeaver平台，还是实现了部分SOA的思想。比如SAP在NetWeave平台发布后，推出了一系列可选性的功能增强包，当企业在业务创新时，就不需要对整个系统进行全面升级，只需要增强包中挑选出最适合企业的软件包就可以了。这样就通过平台实现了系统之间的松耦合关联。
SAP Business Suite
这是目前SAP的主要产品，历经SAP R/3、MySAP.com等产品演进而来，现在里面包含了mySAP ERP, mySAP CRM, mySAP SCM等解决方案。
SAP xApps
跨越式应用。SAP xAPPS包含一系列新型业务应用，能够在不同的应和基础设施上利用结构化数据或者非结构化数据打造易于操作的动态团队流程，以此推整个企业的创新。企来需要借助集成和协作从无到有打造组合应用，这需要高昂的内部开发成本和维护成本。SAP xAPPS以捆绑方式提供组合应用，大部分初始开发和维护都由SAP提供。新的实用型综合业务解决方案位于目前完全不同的应用程序上端，可以去持交叉功能的业务流程，以便使战略资产最大化，扩大投资回报，降低总体拥有成本。

SAP与微软合作开发的，实现企业ERP流程和办公自动化管理的完美集成。

How to Upgrade from SAP NetWeaver 7.01 to NW 7.02?

Hi Experts,
I am working on GRC upgrade project,we need upgrade to GRC10.0 from GRC3.0.
GRC 10.0 only work on NW7.02,we now have NW7.01.
How to Upgrade from SAP NetWeaver 7.01 to NW 7.02?
Use EHPI tools or just spam/saint or any other way ?

Net wevaer 7.2 CE is totally different from Net weaver 7.01.

OR
You do not need Netweaver 7.2 CE for using NWBC 3.0. You just need netweaver 7.02.
You simply need to apply enhancement package 2 on your existing 7.01 system to make it 7.02.

Career Path with SAP Netweaver

Hi SDN Gurus,
This is a generic question around career guidence: What should be the typical/practical career graph for a person who intends to work around SAP Netweaver?
Initially, when I started my career, I was put into SAP XI, which I learnt with some enthusiasm and kind of became a fanatic towards the concept of ESOA and Integration. But later I found out that just learning SAP XI isn't enough, I realized that to actually be able to position SAP XI as a solution, I need to understand the whole netweaver architecture and also understand the functionalities of the Systems that will be integrated thtough Netweaver. So I wanted to have an understanding of how ERP works; kind of shifted to functional and worked in Some Retail Projects with SAP Retail, alongside XI. Now I understand, to a fair extent, the functionality of ERP and what benefits can it provide to the business. So, in short, I have XI skills, I functionally understand ERP, I know what can be technically done through ABAP (having done some of the coding myself); Now I want to leverge all these knowledge in positioning the entire Netweaver Platform as a solution to the business. For that, I need a functional understanding of the business problem solving capabilities of Netweaver and a Technical understanding of the Netweaver Architecture for enabling the same. For this, where do I start? How do I grow? I know SDN is the best place to start-off, definitely, but I am just looking for some guidence.
If any of you Gurus can provide me the guidence, that will be of much help.

SAP Netweaver XI / PI with ABAP or Basis?

I have good knowledge in SAP Netweaver XI abd PI several versions, now i would like to upgrade myself , which would be best option? ABAP or BASIS? , i dont have any idea about both, please guide me....which would be a better career for me to go with....
1.Worked on XI 3.0, PI 7.0, PI 7.01, PI 7.02, PI 7.1, PI 7.11,PI 7.3 SAP Netweaver versions
2.Experienced in configuring System landscape directory,Enterprise service repository,integration directory,runtime work bench, Netweaver Administrator,message monitoring, component monitoring.
3.Worked on SDM GUI, SAP GUI,Visual Administrator,Config tool,Deploy tool,JSPM and telnet
4.Good in channel ,agreements and determination creation and integrating components
5.Worked with various transport protocols like HTTP,TCP,FTP,MLLP,MQ series and File.
6.Work with different Adapters
7.Worked in different OS like windows,unix,linux,hp-unix,solaris.
Dont have knowledge in following
1.Mapping
2.ABAP
3.Basis

I would suggest to educate yourself with SAP BPM and BRM. These are one of the interesting areas in the integration related tasks of SAP and those will change the way how to work with SAP integrations in future. This is already reality with SAP PI 7.3 and 7.31. When you are familiar with BRM, BPM you can learn eSOA of SAP.
However if you must select either ABAP or Basis, It depends the solution where you want to focus. If you want to focus NetWeaver platform and specially solutions like SAP PI, MDM etc. then learn Basis. If you want to work with SAP ERP learn ABAP.

SAP XI and ESA

SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA with ERP-System

I have a running Instance of SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8.
Here I have the minisap Licence of A4H.
When I get the Licence of ERP - do I have a fully ERP System on HANA ?
Or do I need a new Instance?

even if you or your company have an SAP license for ERP, you are legally not allowed to install the license key into the free offering it because you have accepted the terms and conditions of the trial/developer version.
If you want to use your own licenses, you would need to switch to the BYOL model where you bring in the license. For that you would need to purchase the SAP Cloud Appliance Library subscription. You get more details here (CAL FAQ - Business related questions ). To purchase the SAP Cloud Appliance Library subscription you would need to select the "Unlock full library" link on the top right corner of the Subscriptions screen on http://cal.sap.com.

Cant find 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]'

I have successfull installed and been running 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP5 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP7 [Developer Edition]'
In my CAL-account I have seen that 'SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP & SAP Business Warehouse 7.4 SP8 on SAP HANA 1.0 SP8 [Developer Edition]' has become available.
Searching 'AWS Marketplace' with 'SAP HANA one' only brings up the version (SP5-7) I already have installed. How am I supposed to proceed to install the latest version (SP8-8)?

It wasn't removed. I and at least one other person reported it as abusive, because it contains just a link. I think after three reports, it's automatically hidden until the moderator rejects it permanently, or releases it. In this case, it was released.
Now, why did I report it? Well, the common view (obviously not shared by the moderator here), is that posts like that
1) Indicate the original poster (in this case you) could have searched for yourself to find the same link
2) Damage the site as a whole, as you end up with just a whole bundle of links from one place to another and no real content
3) Encourage posting of FAQ
My experience is that quite often the link isn't in fact relevant, and is just the result of the first hit of a keyword search using google. In this case it was relevant - but couldn't you have searched and found it yourself?

License key for Trial of SAP Netweaver app server ABAP 7.4 on SAP MaxDB

Hello
I am neither an existing SAP customer or a Partner. I am trying to setup a trial of SAP Netweaver app server ABAP 7.4 for using it as a data source on SAP Mobile Platform for OData services connection to ABAP system. On the Account creation screen, the system prompts me for the license key and secret key after Cloud service provide name (AWS). I dont have this keys. Can someone help to get me some clues as to what are the possibilities.

The statement from the Roadmap and the Faq are politically correct,SAP says they will stop the future develoment or would be limited ,its like reading between the lines in particular this quote
"Projects requiring an Excel OLAP Integration should be carried out with BEx Analyzer 7.0. The tool is safe for 8+ years, and customers will be able to upgrade to Pioneer Excel. "

I'm new in SAP and installing the version 32-bit in Windows XP - SP2.
View the error bellow:
An error occurred while processing option SAP NetWeaver 7.0 including Enhancement Package 2 > SAP Application Server ABAP > MaxDB > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step :Path component contains reserved character (':'): C:)

Check the path of DVDs defined for the installation process. Ensure that no blank spaces and special characters are present in the path.

From Where can i install ABAP plug-in in SAP Netweaver Developer Studio 7.3?

Hello,
I have Installed SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 and I was trying to install ABAP plug-in but i couldn't found the link to install.
Later i found SAP Development Tools for Eclipse this link but its not working. As i came to know it will work only for Luna (4.4) or Kepler (4.3).
Would you please let me know how to install ABAP plug-in in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3.

Licença de SAP Netweaver Portal para Processo de B2B

Pessoal, boa tarde!
Alguém sabe me dizer se para utilizar o SAP Netweaver Portal para os processos de B2B é necessário comprar licença SAP ou está incluso no pacote onde a empresa compra o GRC e o PI?
Essa licença do PI que a empresa tem direito nessa compra, é somente para o processo de NF-e ou ela pode utilizar para integração com outros processos e sistemas?

a licenca do NFE inclui:
- Netweaver runtime: licença Web AS (ABAP e Java) para rodar os componentes SLL-NFE e SLL-NFE-JWS.
- PI runtime: exclusivamente para utilizacao das interfaces do XI Content de NFE (SWCV SAP SLL-NFE 1.0).
Se vc precisa do PI para outras interfaces e/ou precisa do Portal para disponibilizacao de telas para clientes/fornecedores, essas licencas realmente estao fora da licenca do SAP NFE 1.0.
