Fast Color Corrector not rendering in final output

I have a stack of effects setup in order to create a wipe-on glow effect.  I'm using Fast Color Corrector, Gausian Blur and Crop.  When I playback the project in Premiere Pro CC, it plays back correctly (at least, the way I'd like it to look).  However, Adobe Media Encoder is not encoding the Fast Color Corrector, which effectively makes my wipe-on look lame.  Both Gaussian Blur and Crop seem to be working, here is the correct (Premiere) and incorrect (AME) screenshot.  Notice the "OD" in the word "Good".
All effects and all video tracks are enabled.  Anyone know anything about this and how I might force AME to take notice and render all of the effects?
By the way, I just tried "Export" instead of using Adobe Media Encoder.  It works.  Why doesn't it render correctly in AME?

My best guess is that AME isn't using GPU acceleration, which means things get rendered differently.
Either go Direct, or check Maximum Render Quality.

  • Premiere Pro Freezes mac while rendering Fast Color Corrector & Rgb curves

I am having a problem that is impacting our business. We are doing commercials that we are doing color correction of the subject using Fast Color Corrector and RGB curves. When these effects are added to the sequenced video, the performance of the Mac Pro slows down considerably.
Then when we go to render the project so that we can see the effects in real time, the computer freezes completely. The program usually informs us that it must close due to a serious error. I have attempted to restart the computer, clean up permissions etc to solve this problem but to no avail. Why would this happen? Any ideas on how to solve it?
    Here are the specs:
Using Premiere Pro CC 7.2.1 (4)
Mac Pro: 3.2 Ghz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    Memory: 24 GB
ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1024 MB)
    OS: 10.8.5

Yes. I experimented on my own and got confirms from a couple of sources. Where the problem was is bad suggestions about what settings to use in Premiere Pro.
The first setting you want to check (although Premiere Pro will probably see the card right away is:
File > Project Settings > General - Make sure that Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration is selected. Everyone agrees on this.
Now is where the fun begins. There is a school of thought that says to go here:
Sequence > Sequence Setttings - Under Video Previews, they want you to check off Maximum Render Quality. Once you do this, you must also go to:
Preferences > Memory - and change Optimize Rendering for Performance
DO NOT DO THIS! What I found is that this significantly slows down your system and makes rendering and exporting take over your computer (and I have a lot of ram). Leave your change with the setting Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration and you should be great.
I have found a significant change in running color correction effects, exporting and rendering. You will too.
Let me know how you make out after your setup.
    Have a great day!

  • Why does Fast Color Corrector have a Mask Output option?

Fast Color Corrector has a Mask Output option. In other effects the Mask Output option is used to see the mask created with the Secondary Color Correction feature within the effects. Fast Color Corrector does not have a Secondary Color Correction option.

    Well...we digress.
The Three-way Color Corrector Master wheel does not work the same way as the Fast Color Corrector color wheel. I think the Three-way Color Corrector Master control, overall, doesn't work properly. Try the following:
    1) In the Three-way Color Corrector, select the Master Tonal Range and reduce Saturation to 0. There is still plenty of color information present.
    2) With the Master Tonal Range selected, drag the Master Balance Magnitude to 100 degrees (keeping the Master Balance Gain at its default 20). Do the same with the Fast Color Corrector (using the same Balance Angle) and note how differently they behave. The Fast Color Corrector changes hue over all luminance levels. The Three-way Color Corrector Master control adjusts hue over what appears to be a sub-set of full luminance.
One other color wheel characteristic that I find confounding:
In most color wheels, 0 degrees is Red, 120 is Green, and 240 is blue. The numeric values increase counter-clockwise. OK, that is the norm. So why is it that with P Pro color wheels, Red is -110 degrees, Green is 130, and blue is 10? Or...looking at compass points: on the P Pro Color wheel, North is -90 degrees, East is minus or plus 0 degrees, South is 90, West is minus or plus 180?

  • Fast Color Corrector Edit Effects to a Video Clip --- need help, please

I am editing a single video clip.  The clip is too dark, even though I used a video light.  Classroom in a Book, page 298 recommends to apply the Fast Color Corrector.  I tried...BUT as book reads, the color corrector wheel should pop up and allows changes to color.????

    Hello Mr. Hoecker:
Thanks very much for your reply and advice.  I am enclosing photos to show that:
I can NOT see anything by clicking on the grey triangles.
In “Fast Color Corrector” I do NOT see a section which says…”Input Levels”
Perhaps my install of CS 6 is missing some software.  I will re-install and see until you can reply on this.
This is a page from the single clip I need to lighten so the face and black dive suit shows better.
FYI:  I have been an Adobe subscriber and user since there was Adobe.  I try to use the Classroom in a book for CS 5 and CS 6.  When stumped, I go into the book and try to find a fix. In this situation, the little triangles, etc. are NOT there where I can see them.  And…YES there is a LOT that I do not know.
    Many thanks.

  • 3D effect with color burn not rendering out. Please help.

    Hello,
I am rendering out a 3D effect using an adjustment layer with stroked lines. I have the transfer mode on these lines set to "classic color burn" because it's the look that I want. However when I render the effect out, the lines are almost invisible in the final render. I also have some lights in the scene and am using 3D element with a 3D object. Could the lights be causing a problem? I will attach a photo of the scene before and after render. Thanks in advance for any help!
    John Grosjean
Here are the pics. In the second set the rings almost disappear completely.

We can't know. We don't know the exact settings you used in the timeline nor any other details like what version of AE, what system and so on, since you haven't bothered to provide them. From your shapes not being properly pre-composed to issues with 3D render order and collapsed transformations there could be anything going on. We simply don't know based on your insufficient info.

  • Color corection not showing up in output

I am a bit of a newbie on this one but I am adding a bit of contrast and reducing brightness.
Show up great in Premiere, just like I like it but after output, it looks jus tlike the original. What am i doing wrong. The original was shot at HD on a Canaon 5D Mark II and output set to H.264 HDTV 720  23.967 High Quality and MP4
    many thanks,
    Houston

I like VLC and MediaPlayer Classic HC. Remember, none of these players are color managed, like Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
Some also recommend GOM, but I have not used it.

  • Coloring in HD for SD final Output..??

I am just hoping for some advice on doing some work in color on a project that was shot in 23.98 and edited at 1080P 23.98. (RED)
My goal is to be able to have an HD Master, but the deliverable is a Digi Beta tape which is obviously SD. Which is easy to change the size once back in FCP, but what about the frame rate? Now that I would be changing that to 29.97, is it best to,
    - change that in FCP before sending to color
    - change that in color upon render
    - change that in FCP after rendering 23.98 in Color
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Jesse

I would do everything at the native frame size and rate (1080p 23.98) all the way through. Make an HD master sequence. Then use your Kona to output to the DigiBeta.

  • Color images not rendering; b/w images rendering

    Hello,
My production environment is running Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 and APEX 3.2.1.00.12; my development environment is running Oracle 11.2.0.3.0 and APEX 4.1.1.00.23. The development environment was just upgraded to APEX 4.1
I have external files of jpeg images (55,000+) on both systems. There is a mix of b/w and color images.
I'm using OHS in both environments for my Apache interface. I've checked Firefox and Internet Explorer; same results for both.
On the production system all images render as expected, both color and b/w; on the development system b/w images render correctly, but color images do not. They did render correctly before the upgrade to APEX 4.1. There has been no APEX code changes at this point; both screen sets are identical.
I'm using a stored procedure based on the sample image processor code modified for the external files . The digital image catalog table includes a BFILE column pointing to the image file (using file name and directory name to create the BFILE column).
    The render code is
    <img src = "#OWNER#.obtain_image?p_ref_item = #REF_ITEM_ID# height = "200" />
    The stored procedure code:
    <CODE>
    PROCEDURE obtain_image (p_ref_item IN NUMBER)
    AS
    v_Mime VARCHAR2(255);
    v_Length NUMBER;
    v_FileName VARCHAR2(2000);

    wpg_docload.download_file( v_LOB);

    WHEN OTHERS THEN

Has there been some change in the handling of color images in APEX 4.xxx? I've checked the forum and don't see any such discussion. I've also looked through the release change letters and see no such information.
Any suggestions for where to look next?
    Thanks,

  • Premiere Pro stops rendering and gives error message when encounters "RGB Color Corrector"

Premiere Pro (and also Encore) stops rendering and gives error message when it encounters a clip containing the "RGB Color Corrector" in any clip.  It will process clips without RGBCC, but will stop when it gets to one with RGBCC activavted.  PP will render clips if other effects, such as "Fast Color Corrector", "Color Balance (HLS)", and "Three-Way Color Corrector" are selected. However, these do not have the capabilities that The other color correctors will not do what RGB color corrector does, so I need to have this working to finish a large product that is due to the client.  Please help me..... I am not using the Creative Cloud version, and can't find either a download for the new update from 2013, or a phone number to talk to anyone.

Using a Win7 computer with 2.8 quad core processor, 24 gig of ram, Nvidia Quadro 5000 video card.  Don't think I have any plugins.  I looked at one a while back for cleaning up grainy video, but I am not sure I paid for that.  Think I deleted it.
Incidentally, someone named Jim on another part of the forum mentioned that this problem has been fixed in the CC version of the program.  I am using the non-CC version because I am 68 years old and only do seminars and documentation video.  Don't need so many bells and whistles, and definitely don't need learning curves every few weeks.  CS6.0.3 works fine for me.  By the way, someone else said that maybe version 6.0.1 might work better and I should revert to that.  Not sure if it is the version i have on the disk upgrade to 5.5 that I purchased in December.
As it stands now, I have 7.5 hours of a seminar that is ready to go out the door.  If there is an upgrade I can get from Adobe, maybe you can tell me about it. If I have a setting incorrect in the video output format, maybe I can change that.  So far it just happens with clips in my video that have RGB color correction.

  • Effects: Level settings not rendered correctly in export

I am having the following issue in Premiere Pro CS5.
I have an image sequence with alpha placed over some film footage. The sequence is supposed to blend with the real footage.
To do so, I have adjusted the sequence with a few effect filters.
The filer setup is as follows:
    - levels
    - shadow/highlight
    - fast color corrector
    - levels (this one is added later for just a little bit extra control)
In the program monitor it looks great, and the preview render on the timeline looks good. However, after exporting the media, the effect filters seem gone, or at least different from what it is supposed to be.
    Anyone familiar with this problem?
    Thank you,
    Robert

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately the issue is not solved yet. Like Colin expected, it's already set to software (The option "GPU Accelerated" is disabled).
    Some specs:
    - It's an 720p24 project
    - the overlay is an PNG sequence with alpha
In the export render settings "Use Maximum Render Quality" was selected. But deselecting it, gave the same result.
In "Sequence settings", the option "Maximum Render Quality" is also selected. What's the difference for these 2? Is it worth a try to deselect this option aswell?
Any thoughts of what it could be?
(if helpfull, I will try to post some screenshots of the problem)
    Thanks

  • Key frames effect controls and Fast color correction

I just learned about keyframes and gradual transistion of effects and i like that a lot.
Putting it in practice using the Fast color correction feature ; I seemed to miss the key navigation bar (I hoped to find it on the right side of the Fast Color corrector title line or ??? in the effects control panel)
I guess I'm looking at the wrong end of the world, or do keyframes not exist for fast color correction, I seem to notice the keyframe navigation for time Remapping and opacity..... where did I lose the keyframe navigation bar for fast color correction ???

  • Color Corrector edits have stopped functioning

I use Premiere Pro CS4.  I have a project with about 100 clips in which I used some Fast Color Corrector presets I had made to correct the color.  (There is color correction in every clip so it was a lot of work.)  This evening I noticed that all of the color corrections I made are no longer working, except for the last few I had done.  The Fast Color Correction effects are still being shown in the Effects Control window, and each one still has all of the settings adjustments I had made, but they are no longer affecting the video.
    So I have these questions:
Why are the changes I had made with my Fast Color Corrector presets no longer affecting the video?
Can I correct the problem so that all of my color correction work is restored?

This turned out to be a problem with my monitor, not with Premiere Pro CS4.  My apologies.

  • Color corrector 3 way not working on final cut 7.0.3 what should i do?

Hi can any one help me I'm having an issue with my color corrector 3 way. It won't work?? I am using final cut pro 7.0.3 Mac OS X. I have also had a issue with rendering a sequence I kept getting Render manager even thought I cleaned everything out. I would really appreciate any help.

The usual cause of not seeing Color Correction is the user is looking at the the wrong clip or has applied the CC to the wrong version of a clip.
For CC not to be working, none of your effects would be working.
Can't help you with the render question. You have not provided any useful information.
