Fast dial does not work, firefox 6.0. Will not bring up the page when I click the icon necxt to address bar.

Before I updated firefox (the time before I updated to 6.0)
I had fast dial and it worked perfectly fine.
Then it just would not work at all. Clicking the icon up next to my address bar- nothing. Even tried adding pages to fast dial by right clicking but still the icon does nothing.
I used speed dial for a while but really do not like it. Disabled fast dial, removed it, added it again, removed speed dial. Nothing :(

Firefox was a good, but now it's slow and when I search google I have to refresh the page when I click the back button. This is driving me to other browsers.

When searching in goole, If I click on a link and want to go back a page firefox does not load the previous google search without refreshing the page. Because I use google frequently this is very annoying. Firefox has also been freezing and crashing most frequently of any of the other browsers that I have been driven to use. Firefox's cache feature attempts to maximize speed for forward and back actions by storing the last rendering of the page. Something about the instant prediction results ''with zoom'' is causing Firefox to briefly display the results and then they blank out and you have to reload the page to get them back. The mystery is why this only occurs (so far as I have heard) on Google? Is one of Google's scripts blanking out the page? Does Google care that it's messing up Firefox users?
For now, if you do not want to or cannot change any one of the three factors needed to experience this problem, you can disable the storage of the last rendering of the page. Then Firefox will skip the shortcut and lay it out fresh, which is known to work. As noted in earlier posts, you make this change using the about:config preferences editor.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''sess''' and pause while the list is filtered.
(3) Double-click the '''browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers''' preference and change it to 0 (that's a zero).

When a website launches a new window to enter information, Firefox no longer automatically closes the window when you click the submit button. Why?

For example, when I create a message in my autoresponder service and want to attach an image a new window opens up so I can enter the details of the image (url, position, alt text). When I click the Save button, the information is captured but the window remains open and I have to manually close it.

I teach a class using this program on Macintosh computers running 10.9.5 and the action script is not working. It will work on any program designed using the 10.8 but if you design any animation on 10.9.5 the action script will not work for the buttons

You would have to manually delete the color profiles in question... Run the cleaner tool and see if it gets you started.

Flash Player Update Not Working -You Tube videos will not play!!

Hi, There is new Technology with the latest Flash Player version that you may need to adjust a Setting.
You may want to go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you may need to update your Video card Driver.
Now one thing I'd like to mention is that the Adobe Flash Player Team are wanting to document issues with the latest Flash Player version and issues such as you and others are having. If you would like to give them feedback directly, it would be appreciated as they are trying to duplicate these in house. The link to that is:

How do I set Firefox so it opens to my yahoo mail site when I click opening icon??

When I click firefox opening page shows a big google search screen. I want the opening page to show my bellsouth (yahoo) mail.
How do I do this? I'm weaning myself from Safari.

There are a couple of settings. First, right-click on the account in the folder list to the left, then select "Properties" from the context menu. Go into the "Server Settings" tab. Uncheck
* Check for new messages at startup
* Check for new messages every [__] minutes
and then click the "Advanced" button. Another option to uncheck here is

which is a mechanism that allows the ''server'' to actively notify the program about new incoming mail.
This assumes that you have set up the Gmail account as IMAP account.

Firefox scrolls to the bottom of the page when I press the down arrow, instead of moving through the text.

When I press the down arrow on Firefox, it scrolls to the bottom of the screen. I'm almost always just trying to move the vertical scroll bar down one or two picas (or however you measure it). This didn't used to happen until about 2009. Any suggested fixes?

If i have to close Firefox after attempting to load a page locks the machine up, what setting can i change where it will not automatically try to reload the page when i restard the browser?

Say i try to open a pdf link for example (although not limited to) and Firefox stops responding; if i close the browser and open it again, it will attempt to reload the same page that just locked it up. How do i turn this off? I get the "Well, this is embarrassing." error fairly often (after 'end task'-ing twice) :/

Auto Recharge not working, can't buy credit - Dumps me to front page when "Buy" is clicked

I already contacted Customer Service (if you can call it that) on the Chat link. They couldn't fix the problem and said they have to escalate it, and I still haven't heard back. The problem is that auto-recharge isn't working, and really never has. I solved the problem in the past by clicking "buy credit" and just added credit to my account. Now when I do that, it dumps me out to the main front page of the skype.com website. Before you tell me to clear cache and cookies, I tried it from 3 different computers, and even my iphone, same results. Can someone who works for Skype please help? If customer service has devulved into posting to a community so we "can help each other" and there is no one to talk to from the company, how is this ever going to success long term? Microsoft and Skype should be embarrassed. I guess I need to start looking for an alternative solution to international IP calling.

Have you tried resetting network settings in settings, general, reset, reset network settings.
Complete that and from there try and go into settings after it restarts and see if you can manually connect to the network that you wanted.

In Firefox 4, it keeps wanting to open two pages when I open the browser, the home page AND the last page visited in a separate tab. How can I get it to stop doing this?

Safari will not let me scroll down the page , it defaults to the top, this seems to have started after moving to Maverick.

I recenty upgraded to Maverick, I now find Safari has become erratic , it will not allow me to scroll down on a page it keeps defaulting back to the top , I do not have the same problemc with FireFox, only Safari.
I have tried restarting with a holding down option command PR and it did not help.
Thoughts ?

Thanks for the reply. I did what you said. And the Time Warner page AND the dnsrsearch.com disappeared. However, now I still do not get Safari when I touch the Safari icon. Instead, it goes to a plain white page with an Apple icon, a Disney icon and ESPN icon and a Yahoo icon in a straight row across the top (under time and such and under a shaded out bar that says "Search or enter an address".) If I touch the search bar it DOES give me a keyboard below. and I can search now, but nowhere does it say that I am on Safari. (I believe there was a shaded out word google on the grey bar, but not sure) AND -- why do those 4 icons appear in a row left to right on a blank white page when I click the Safari button? It really is truly bizarre. Never did that before. It went to Safari, lol.
