Fast fade in animation on iPhone 5 lockscreen?

Hi all,
I've been looking around the internet for this for a long time now, and I haven't received an answer to it yet, but I have found people who have this.
I have two friends who have iPhone 5's, and when they press their lock button to wake their phones from sleep, there is a small, fast, fade-in of the lockscreen! It's a small but really nice feature as opposed to the simple cut from black to full brightness.
My iPhone 5 does not do this. I thought it was because I stayed on iOS 6.1.2, but even after I updated to 6.1.4 there is still no fade-in transition when I wake my iPhone from sleep.
Does anyone know how to "enable" this? I really like the feature and I'm jealous of my friends' iPhones because it does that. yeah, I have slight OCD so little things like that bother me haha.

iTunes Match if presented with high quality lossless Song files will transcode automatically to 256 kbps AAC if its going to upload, for matching it only has 256 kbps AAC to provide - either way your source Song file is better.
Having said that, have you tried:
1. Selecting all Equinoxe Songs;
2. Get Info;
3. Under Options tab, set Gapless album to 'yes'.
Once this setting is embedded in the Song files Equinoxe at 256 kbps AAC will play as close to the original as the limitations of the current service technology allow. Do post your results!
Note: I do understand your Quobuz reference - it is possible to re-upload, to do this you have to: back-up the Song files (to allow recovery); delete the Song from the library completely including option to remove from iCloud; update iTunes Match; restart the iTunes client and confirm that the Song file is not available for download; import the Songs again using add file to library; as each file is imported - highlight, play to check, then select option to upload to iCloud - best of luck.

Fast user switching animation not working on new iMac with 10.9.1

I have a late 2013 iMac with the GeForce GTX 780M, pre-installed with 10.9 and then immediately updated to 10.9.1 out of the box.
I imported my adminstrator account from an older iMac with Mountain Lion, using Migration Assistant. No problems experienced there whatsoever. I then separately imported a second user account from the same Mountain Lion install. Both accounts are functioning normally.
However, when I switch between these accounts, the fast user switching animation (rotating cube) does not occur - it just instantly switches screens, without even a fade in/out effect.
I made sure the display settings on each account are identical down to the last detail, even the same color sync profiles. I also created a fresh 'test' user account with default Mavericks settings, yet switching to that from either of the imported accounts does not have the animation either.
Any suggestions on how to trouble-shoot this? I have 'Googled' it, but all the refrences are from earlier version of OS X from 2003-2009 and mention things like not having enough graphical processing power - obviously not an issue here.

I tried (on both user accounts):
1. Flushing all the caches using Onyx
2. Deleting the 'com.apple.desktop.plist' files.
3. Switching each user account to non-standard resolutions and back again.
The lack of the rotating cube effect is not the worst of it, as about 50% of the time I switch accounts I get an 'empty' desktop in the account I have just switched to, and I can only get the desktop icons to appear again by switching back and forth a few times. Extremely frustrating.
I am starting to think this is yet another bug in Mavericks or a problem with the graphic drivers for the new GTX 775 / 780 cards.

Can't fast forward in QuickTime for iPhone 3.0?

Does anyone know how to get the slider bar that allows you to fast forward a Quicktime on iPhone 3.0? On the previous version, any quicktime apps had the volume slider on the bottom, and the play timer up top, which you could slide to forward to or go back to a time on the track. On 3.0, i only see the volume slider, and a 30 second rewind, and a 'next track' button. what if you want to fast forward?

I suspect it's the way they were recorded. I've seen that behaviour before with music and video files I have downloaded. I'm not sure of the actual reason or any possible solution.

Iphone 5 Lockscreen button is jammed

My iphone 5 lockscreen button is jammed. I have to apply quite a bit of pressure to turn it in and off. Would apple give me a replacement if i speak to one of the employees at the Apple Store? Also it does have some dent markings on the edges due to being dropped a few times.

Choppy animated dynamic wallpaper on lockscreen.

I'm currently using iPhone 5S, but when i had set my lockscreen to the new dynamic wallpaper, the animation seems to be choppy. Had tried to update and restore to iOS 7.0.1, but the issue seems to be persisting. Any solution for this? Or is the iPhone faulty?

Video in my flash presentation playing faster than the animation

I have a flash presentaion that contains flvs, devided to chapters,everytime a video ends (chapter ends) a flash animation runs (like title changing,and thunmbnails changing).
the prob i m having is that on a core2quad, animation is faster than videos,and on p4 video is slower than animation.
the best played presentation is on core2duo.
how can we solve this prob?

Can not fast forward though podcasts on iPhone 4.

When I first got the phone I was able to fast forward though them. Then something happened three days ago and now I can't fast forward though them at all. When I'm looking at the podcast selection screen it shows '--:--' as the time for all the podcasts. When the podcast is playing it shows '-00:00' as the play time and the scrubber never moves. If I try to fast forward at all it just jumps back to the beginning of the podcast.
Anyone find a fix for this?

I have the same problem. But it happens in mp3 music as well as podcasts. The only solution I've found is to reboot my iPhone. It's kind of a hassle, so I'd like to see a fix from Apple.

Why Isn't My Weather App Animated in iPhone 4 with iOS 7?

Hi,
I had seen pictures and videos of the Weather App in iOS 7 animating (for example: lightning striking if there are thunderstorms or rain falling if it's raining). Mine is just a picture of clouds now, not moving.
Is there any setting I need to change to get the weather animated? Please note I have the iPhone 4 so it may not get this feature?

IPhone 5 lockscreen green glow

Hey.
My iPhone 5 is currently on firmware 6.0.2 and there is an apparent green glow in the lower parts of the lockscreen when I unlock the phone and it gets more prominent if the phone has been unlocked after a longer time. The glow is a lot like the screenshot of other users facing the same problem.
Now, I saw that everyone was getting it fixed by asking for a replacement. My problem is, the phone was bought in the UK and I am currently in Bangladesh where there are no official Apple stores. How should I ask for a replacement and what should be the procedure for it?

That's what it looks like and I am extremely afraid that it might get worser with more usage. Please help me as I own a MacBook Pro, iPod touch and even an iPhone 4s and this is the first time I am noticing any such defect in an Apple product.

IPhone 5s lockscreen / photo app bug

I have noticed a reproducible bug that occurs on the lockscreen of my iphone 5s running ios 7.0.2. Here is a picture of the bug occuring on my lockscreen. It occurs as follows:
I wake the phone up to the lockscreen,
Next, I slide the camera icon up and press the camera roll square in the bottom left corner of the camera app,
Then, while still in the camera roll section of the camera app, I put the phone back to sleep,
The next time i wake my phone up from sleep I see this lockscreen.
Has anyone else experienced this as well? I want to make sure apple is aware so they can fix it in a software update.

I found a way to reverse to the keyboard with the normal size thanks to the post of Skemez1 above.
The bug is produced when you activate the camera from the lock screen and that you take a picture in landscape mode. Therefore when the keyboard appears zoomed in the lock screen, do this in order to get back to the normal size:
- activate again the camera from the lock screen,
- put the phone in portrait mode. You might have to first swerve to landscape, but do end with portrait.
- press the sleep button
It worked for me. The bug is still there, but at least I know how to get back to the normal keyboard.
This means that actually you should routinely avoid to press the sleep button when your camera is in landscape.

Perspective animation inside iPhone window.

I am quite new to AE and need some guidance.
I do know how to do some basic keyframe animation and looking for some guidance regarding the process.
I already did some research so please help me fill in the gaps and correct me if i am wrong.
So basically my steps are
1. Creating 960x640 canvas (iPhone5 screen)
2. Animating assets inside
3. Pre-coming — will it create a mask at this stage to hide the scroll?
4. Re-sizing canvas to match my background picture with iphone
5. Applying effect to transform the comp and fit it on top of my iPhone so it looks like the screen. — Whats the effect name for this?

If the ipHone is moving you're in for a real surprise. Assuming your iPhone image is static, you're going to use corner pin. That's about all there is to it.
See the effects reference in AE help to learn about corner pinning. it will produce a scale and perspective shift for you. you will apply the four corners of the pin effect to the four corners of your iPhone window. This can get as complicated as you want it to but that's all you need so solve this one problem.
