Fast moving stock list

i would like to get fast moving stock items for monthly random checking ,please if you know any transaction code for that, i used the T-code MC46 for slow moving items but i couldn't generate any good report from it,please advice for tutorial how to get good result through it ,and i need to know if the T-code MC46 give you when last time the stock item was used but i need the movements of stock
please advice

Hi,
In SAP there is no standard report to get fat moving items. On what basis you want to identify the material as fast moving. Lets say consumption or sales. Iwant to share one solution regarding this. You can use ABC analysis as a determinant.Using OMCO, you can define cycle counting indicators such that "A" materials might be the top 40% of your inventory (by turnover), "B" the next 30%, and so on. You can then run transaction MIBC which automatically updates the CC indicator on selected materials. The advantage of this approach is that - even if you don't use the cycle counting method for phys inv - you can regularly set and update the indicator on the material master. That way, it is very easy to write a query (SQ01) that lists only "A" items. Note also that ABC indicators exist in other areas (eg PM) but these generally need to be maintained manually. Also, if it's sales you want to focus on (as opposed to consumption/turnover), then sales specific reports MCQ+1 might give good results. Thanking you..

  • Slow Moving Stock Report

    Hi All,
May i know the T-Code to list Slow Moving, Fast Moving materials & also for ageing of materials.
    Regards
    Rang

    Hi Rang,
MC50 looks at the stock level for a material over a period of time and
identifies the lowest level that the material reached. That lowest level is
the dead stock quantity as, in theory, that stock was not required. It
works on the principle that in an ideal world scenario you would maintain
zero stock sitting in the warehouse because you were able to plan such that
every day you receive / produce the exact amount that you require to meet
all customer requirements with no surplus. An example would be that if you
met all demand over a 3 month period and the stock level in that time never
dropped below 500 then that would be the dead stock level as throughout the
period you supposedly could have had 500 less stock and still met all
    requirements.
MC46 simply counts the number of days since the last issue against each
material - the more days the slower moving the stock.
Both the reports have value in that they can highlight problems which need
addressing - such as excessive stock or unpopular lines - but the results
they provide do need to be considered with a degree of caution...
Top-of-head examples could be that zero dead stock in MC50 is not an
achievable target if there is daily demand and the warehouse works on a FIFO
basis with a 2 day minimum to receive and then pick, and in MC46 materials
that are very seasonal will obviously show unfavourably at other times of
    the year.
    Hope its useful
    reward points if deserved
    Cheers!!!

    Dear Rahul,
If you required  project stock and consignment stock with valuated stock report in same place you need to generate new info structure as given below link. Or you can go with customized report with abaper.

  • Report on  Dead stock and Slow moving stock

    Hi ,
On of my cleints requirement is to see the list of Dead stock and slow moving stock
I tried T.COde Mc50 and MC46 but I could not understand the report fully
In case of T.code MC50(dead stock) the input criteria for the report is just Plant,Pur org and Sales Org.
How does system identify an item as dead stock.
Is there any setting to define an item as dead stock before running report MC50?
In case of slow moving stock ,i want to see all the material for which no posting
happened for 60 days.In this case what value I need to select in T.Code MC46
    Thx in advance
    Deva

    Hi,
While using MC46 report under Scope of ranking list, select the No. of days up to last consumption as 60 days.
And execute with the other selection parameters.

  • Report on Non-Moving stock

    Hi friends,
I have tried MC 50 and other reports for taking the List of non-moving stock. But, when I cross verify the report for the items with zero movement in MB51 for the movements 261, 601, 541, I observe further movements.
Kindly let me know the procedure for generating the non-moving stock report for the storage locations in a particular period.
    Thanks,
    Dhanapal Namasivayam

    Hi Dhanpal
All the movements are in the table MSEG.
You need to build logic around this to come to non moving stock.
    Thanks

  • How to manage slow and fast moving goods in Demand Planning

    Hi All,
Kindly let me know how to manage slow and fast moving goods in Demand Planning.
    1. First how to detect slow and fast moving goods
    2. which DP model to use
    3. Any Best practice while dealing with slow and fast moving goods
    Thanks
    Arun

    Arun,
There are two main concerns with forecasting slow moving goods. For fast moving, yes, trend, level and seasonality combined with a decent demand level gets you through.
So, either you don't have demand in the market for that product; if the product is not critical (like go/no go spare parts) I recommend just averaging out the demand over a period and going with that. Any errors incurred there won't have a significant business impact. On the other hand if it is critical, safety stock and/or contractual obligations come to play.
OR, if there is market demand but your market share is too low for whatever reason, then it gets tricky because you need a predictor variable(s) for which you have good knowledge off (such as CPI index, demand for related products, etc). The forecast is then done on the predictor variable(s) and the low market share applied to 'translate' the expected demand to the product in question. Unfortunately, the case of low demand/low market share I have no idea of how to implement it on SAP. Since forecasting is just the tip of the iceberg, it may pay to do it outside of SAP (say in Excel) and manually input it (unless the products are many and varied).
Hope this helps. Please let me know if this makes sense and/or applies to your question.

  • Slow moving stock

    Hi Guys,
I am wondering if there is any standard report or a table in SAP to look for 'Slow moving stock' ? I am trying to find out the usage/consumption of particular materials or when they are last moved?
    Thanks for your suggestions,
    Regards,
    Kelly

    Hi Kelly,
Please check MC46 slow moving items & MC.A (you can choose 'last goods issue' / 'last goods movement' fields from layout).
But there are several other stock reports. (e.g. MC50 dead stock)

  • Moving a List Item attachment from one list to another

    Hi,
What are the best way of coping / moving the List Item attachment using
jQuery / JavaScript in SharePoint 2013 from one list to another.
    Thanks
    Saroj
Impossible is nth but good coding :-)

For your needs better try to code your own solution. See
SharePoint JavaScript Class Library for details. You can have two possible architectures:
Make all work from JavaScript. And the first your step will be
    addItem method of SP.List.
Make processing of selection on client in JavaScript and call your custom server-side component (may be an application page) for items copying (creating copies in new list of already existed items from initial list.). See
    this for example.
Also be careful with context.load. It's recommended to write all next code in context.executeQueryAsync. Use Firebug in FF and developer tools in Chrome for debugging your code and to find what is wrong.

  • Stock listing in Portal iView

    Hi,
I was wondering if i can find some document to have the stock market listing depending on user choice.
What I mean is user should be able to see only those stocks which he/she is interested to view in an iView.
Any pointer would be appreciated. I am using EP - SP9.
    Thanks in Advance!
    Bhavesh

You could launch the user to a site that provides this type of information.  An example of this would be this URL.  http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cq?d=v1&s=yhoo%2cintc%2cjdsu
You could parameterize the url to allow for user personaliztion of the stock list.  Please note that if you do this you need to be sure that you show the whole page with ads.

  • Non-Moving /Slow Moving stocks

    Hi
Is any Standard Oracle Report available which give
us the Sub_inventory wise/Item wise stock which are
not moved (i.e. No transactions are happening since a
    given date).
I hv check the Inactive Item Report available in
Inventory. What is exactly this report ?
    Can anybody help us.
    Regards.
    Navdeep

    hi,
The reports gives you an idea abt which stock is not used from many days or which is not even used or had no movements for the same...When you see the report you can give the periods in between which the system evaluates the materials movements...if the material has no movement in the given period it is called dead stock...and if the material is consumed out of it for given period then it is called slow moving stock..
Pls check both the reports carefully...
Check MC46 - slow moving items
MC50  - Dead stock(You can say dead stock as non moving stock )
If there is no selection shown by the system then it means that all the material/stock is used properly on time and is consumed properly...

    Dear BW Gurus,
My client needs a "Non-moving stock report".I went thro the help.sap.com and just found one query for "Slow moving items" which is designed upon the Multiprovider 0IC_MP04.I just want to know whether i can use the above query for the Non-moving stock???
2)0IC_MP04 Multiprovider obtains data only from 0IC_C03 cube,so whats the real reason behind using a multiprovider rather than just 0IC_C03..????

    arun

    Hi Arun,
In R/3, you can go to MC50 transaction to see the non -moving stock report.
    Also check MC46 & MC.9
I m not sure about the BW Business content report for non-moving stock.
What you can do is, see the satandard R/3 report and create report on IC_C03.
    Cheers

  • Moving Stock Directly to a Fixed Bin using a Special Movement Indicator

I am trying to set up moving stocks directly to fixed bin using special movement indicator.
Found the below in SAP documentation:
    ==========
Each time a goods receipt is posted for material ABC, you want to move the material directly to storage bin FIX-ABC in storage type 005 of warehouse number 001 without creating a transfer requirement or transfer order. To do this, you need to set up the system as follows:
    1. Create the fixed bin FIX-ABC in storage type 005 that is defined in the standard system using the fixed bin search strategy.
    2. Create a special movement indicator for your warehouse number.
    3. Add the special movement indicator and the fixed bin FIX-ABC to the material master for material ABC.
    4. Create a new WM movement type to move materials directly into fixed bins without creating transfer orders or transfer requirements.
    5. In the reference movement type table, create a new entry that links an appropriate IM movement type to the new movement type using the special movement indicator.
    ==============
I have completed the steps 1 to 4. I am not sure of step 5 in IMG. Can some one please give me the menupath and guide me?
    Appreciate your help as always.
    Regards,
    Sadanand

    Hello,
You can go to LE-WM-interfaces-Inventory management-Define movement types-
    a) Assign WM Movement Type References to IM Movement Types - here you can assign your IM mvt to WM mvt
    b) then LE-WM Interface to Inventory Management - here you can assign the ref movement type assigned in 1 above to the actual WM movement type you want to carry out and you can assign your special movement indicator here as well.
    So this will be
    <WH No.> <ref. mvt say 101>  <mvt indicator say B ( for PO)>  <spl mvt indicator that you have created> <Wm mvt type> <TR creation - X or A > <Immediate To creation X or A >
    Thanks,
