If I pull a report in Power point and click the spreadsheet it will put it in Excel (imbedded file). I should be able to move around the spreadsheet by "clicking" the cell I need to change. When I do this it flashes to Excel (plain sheet). It's ok I think it has something to do with the fact that Essbase although it's disconnected(spreadshee-addin) still over writes the Excel functions. thanks in advance

Yes, certain Essbase add-in settings tend to overwrite the Excel options. YOu can go to Essbase/Options and go to the Global tab. There is a section called Mouse Actions where you can unclick the secondary and double click options. GOod luck.

Capture isn't capturing what's on tape, need fast reply please!

I've been working on this wedding project that was suppose to be done last week, but things got complicated, and now i noticed that all the material i have captureda big part of it is missing, so i checked was it on tape and yes it's fine there but not on my hard drive, apparently there was a timecode break and now i have edited for two weeks without noticing the missing material... this really *****
Anyway I'm using Capture Now function in FCP and my camera is a JVC GY-HD101E, im trying to re-capture now and it keeps making these short clips of just a few seconds and cutting most of the material where there is no start/stop in Rec...
Might i have some setting that i overlooked ?
I have noticed this happening before to my footage but because it only clipped about 2 seconds off of some shot i wasnt sure if it was just a random error...

iMovie handles the media differently from FCP, specifically where audio is concerned. So it is not a recommended workflow. Here's why...
iMovie captures using DV Stream (.dv) standard which does not use timecode. That is a big disadvantage over the way that FCP captures in that you can't go back and recapture the material at a later date if you need to revisit a project.
The DV/NTSC specification (the one FCP uses) also calls for seperate tracks for audio and video, even if you capture it as one clip. iMovie' DV stream format is muxed audio and video, which means that they are tied together (I can't get into specifics because I ain't no engineer or programmer). FCP is a bit more demanding and captures the seperate audio/video tracks, either in a single media file or as seperate video and audio files. With FCP you could capture video only or audio only because each is defined by the DV specs. while with iMovie you can't.
Also, if you drop the iMovie footage into the timeline, your will get the RED render bar forcing you to render the footage in order to see it...

There is nothing you can do with iMovie program itself. Slow response in usually due to a shortage of system resources (CPU, RAM and disk space).
How much free disk space do you have on your boot drive and what is the capacity of the drive?
You can check memory utilization while running iMovie using Activity Monitor (in Applications/Utilities). What does the Memory tab show for Swap used?
Are you running many other processor-intensive applications a the same time?
If you have a lot of events and projects, it will help a bit to hide the ones you are not using by moving them from your iMovie Projects and iMovie Events folders into an enclosing folder so iMovie doesn't load them.

I would like to align the labels of af:inputText to the left and the input text boxes of af:inputText to middle as they are aligned when we put them on af:panelForm.
Please look at the following format that is how I wanted to display all my inputText.

You may have a worn out electrical outlet which is not making contact. Try a different outlet which holds the charger firmly inserted.

What is required in the HOST and QUEUE field when setting a WIFI printer?
When setting up my printer, i fill the options identical to what follows:
PRINTER: SAMSUNG HOME
DRIVER:    GENERAL
BEARER: LPR <-----------------------------( NOT SURE IF IT IS THE CORRECT OPTION TO SELECT )
The following fields appear once LPR is selected:
ACCES POINT : HOME
HOST:              WHAT COMES HERE?
USER:              SKY00BER
QUEUE:            WHAT COMES HERE?
ORIENTATION: PORTRAIT
PAPER SIZE: A4
if it helps, my printer is SAMSUNG CLX-3175FW. It is Wifi Enable and is connected to my HOME acces point.
please do correct me if there has to be changes to the BEARER or anything else.

I'm not sure but I give it a try.Turn your security(WPA/WEP) and Firewall temporarely off. HOST is the IP address of the printer. QUEUE can be YES or a specific amount of prints, like 1,2,3......
If I look at the manual of your printer I see that you can find the IP and MAC addresses in the Network Configuration Report.I don't know what the USER is doing there because if there is a user then there must be a password.

You shouldn't lose any data when upgrading, but always play it safe and make a backup first.

Hey ok so i got my UM-2ex to work in Garageband.. with my electronic drums and my keyboard bnoth work.. BUT in logic express 7.. it kinda of works.. i think it is.. so im recording o nmy keyboard... it shows the ntoed coming up and it shiows what nots ive played and how long ive held them o nmy keyboard organ etc... but then when i press stop to stop recording.. than i go to the begging asnd than press play. DUN Dun dunnnnn i dont hear anything.. i want it to play out of my headphones or my speakers on my MBP so.. how do i get this to work? is there a button i have to press or anything..? anyway Thanks any help would be apprecited
