Fastest way to convert paper form

What is the fastest way to convert a paper form (MS Word document) to a HTMLDB form?
Thanks

Other technolgies give you that, you don't have to use HTML DB. The funny thing is, all of the other aspects of those technologies are really hard (session state, pagination, UI consistency, column-heading sorting, etc. come to mind). Kind of like driving your favorite car (I'm partial to Audi) and complaining about the location of the cup-holder. I've heard Hyundai's have great cup-holders, but do you think I'm gonna switch? ;)
While I wouldn't look for drag-and-drop layout in the next release, I wouldn't rule it out in the future. There will be some drag-and-drop features in the next release (I think I'm aloud to say that), unfortunately they have nothing to do with form layout...
Thanks,
Tyler

  • Fastest way to convert flv videos to a compatible ...

    Hi.
Which is the fastest way to convert flv videos to a compatible format for the E71?

It is goog that you are all providing links here for converters but please avoid posting ones wherein it leads to direclty purchasing various products alone as this will be considered as spamming and is not allowed in the boards.
A fair number of the converters are freeware others are shareware and others let you trial the product either via a short test or watermark . I have posted some that are paid for as well as freeware  but its like mentioning Apple IPhone would that also be classified as spam .Likewise again their are other apps for your phone   if they are not freeware are they classed as spam  if mentioned . Their seems to be no intention of  spamming when asked about a product to do a particular job  and the actual replys fall outside the definition of spamming .If the definition of spam on this board is mentioning paid for applications then the list is long starting with Windows and should not just be applied to this section .
But as their are so many views as what app to use paid for or free then i see the board as being safe from abuse .

  • [SOLVED] Fastest way to convert entire music library to ogg?

    Hey,
I have a music library of about 100gb on my server, and since I'm starting to run out of space, I have been considering converting all the music (currently in mp3 format) to ogg vorbis to save some space, but not loose quality. I installed the mp32ogg script, which I tested on some mp3's. They became about 50% smaller and I didn't notice any difference in quality. (320kbps mp3 -> 160kbps ogg)
Anyways, the script does its job, but it's extremely slow. I'm at my parents place at the moment, testing it out on my old 35gb library, and it has been running since 3am to now (6pm), and it's not done yet (and my server is much slower than the desktop computer I'm running it on at the moment).
EDIT: OK, it just finished now. My library shrunk from 35.3gb to 28,6gb in 15,5 hours.
So I was wondering if there is a faster way to do this (as in another script/program)? Or should I just separate my library into say, ten subfolders and run an instance of the script in each of them simultaniously? I could also have my laptop run a few instances of it over samba, and my iMac too if the script runs on Mac OS X (probably does if I install some stuff from macports).
Another thing I was considering was converting it all to aac (which I believe would be even smaller?). The only script for that I found was audio-convert, but I didn't find any documentation on how to use it, and typing audio-convert --help just gave a bunch of error messages not related to the actual script at all. Obviously it didn't have a man page either, and by googling I only found a changelog etc. but no information about usage... Examples anyone?
Oh and obviously my server is CLI only, so no drag and drop converters please Also, I'm not really in a hurry with this, so it's OK if the conversion takes a few hours or even a day, but several days or weeks is completely unnacceptable.
    Thanks in advance people

I don't actually have 9 computers, I have OS X + 7 + Arch on both my Mac and my laptop, which already makes 6 then I have the server, which is an old laptop, and two nearly ten years old desktops which run Arch, so yeah. And I don't have the old ones at my apartment anyway. I'm broke because I just came back from a "world tour", visiting Japan and Australia... And also because I bought the iMac
Another reason why I can't buy a new HD for the server yet, is the fact that it's a laptop. It only has 1x IDE, and all my USB ports are already occupied by harddrives and my dtv-receiver, etc. What I will do someday soon, is turn my old desktop pc into a server. But that has to wait too, because I don't have room for it in my apartment (and it's too loud to sleep in the same room anyway). I'm actually waiting until I graduate and get a proper job, then I will upgrade the computer and make a server out of the spare parts.
I guess I'll mark this as solved now, since there doesn't seem to be a better way to do this.

  • Fastest way to convert videos

    Hi!
I'm thinking about converting all my videos so they can be played in iTunes. I was recommended VisualHub by a user on this forum, but I already have QuickTime Pro which, I found out, also is able to convert so my question is: Is QuickTime or VisualHub the fastest conversion app? Or maybe a third app?
    Thanks

  • PLEASE HELP! QUICK WAY TO CONVERT ENTIRE PROTECTED AAC TO MP3

    Hello,
What is the fastest way to convert about 350 songs to MP3 from the protected AAC format. All songs were purchased from the iTunes Music Store, but I want to burn then all onto a DVD to play in my DVD player. Thank you for your super fast responses!

Well to answer your question, I do not know of any.
But also it is against the terms of use for these forums to discuss ways in which the protection of iTunes purchased songs can be circumvented. Likely, as soon as one of the moderators runs across this thread, it will be locked from further posts.

  • How to auto-fill data into scanned paper form converted to Acrobat 9 PDF

    Hello,
I am new to Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.  I have scanned a paper form/document that originally  had various data lines to be written on using an ink pen.  I saved the scanned PDF as an Acrobat 9 PDF.  I have added various pertinent text fields and checkboxs to PDF form and saved it with appropriate extended setting to allow end-user to type on PDF and save a copy.  At the bottom form there is a name/signature text field for end-user name to be typed and a calendar text date when name/signature text field is entered .
I need to send this PDF form to various end-users using (Groupwise/Novell) email to have them sign or type their name and date at bottom of form.  Is there a way that Adobe Acrobat 9/PDF will recognize the email sender and allow the name/signature field to automatically fill-in signature/name textbox.  Are there tools like javascript, etc. that will help me accomplish this task?
I don't know where to begin. I am a newbie.  Please help!

  • URGENT:  convert pdf Form to Word Form

Ihave a filled in pdf form and a blank form and I need to convert each to a Word form. acro pro 7 If I had vers 8.0 pro, would the steps be any different?
what is the fastest way to do this? The boss says the pdf form is not flexible enough but I cannot ask her more at this moment.

As long as you have been using Acrobat, I am surprised that your boss would have such a question. I thought of one possibility if the form fields are not retained in WORD, but don't know if it will work. You could try to save as HTML (I usually have best luck with HTML 3) and then open that in WORD. That might give you a back door to keep the form fields in much the same way opening a HTML form in Acrobat retains the form fields. Just a thought if the WORD save does not work.
In terms of flexibility, it is a simple matter to create the form (without fields) in WORD (the master document), make changes, and create a new PDF. Then the modified pages can simply be used to replace those in the old form (don't forget to work on a copy). I guess that is the second idea that is probably the route you were planning to take. Again, bood luck with the boss and with WORD. Bill

  • What is the fastest way to record and write image data?

    Hello,
I am new to labview and am using the IMAQ software package to record and write data from a CCD camera to the hard drive. The end goal is a program that records and saves as much data as possible as quickly as possible, for experiments lasting on the scale of days. I have been experimenting with the snap, grab, and sequence methods of recording. To save the image data I was told by NI customer support that TDMS streaming would be the fastest method. I have also been experimenting with the TDMS VIs, however I have found the IMAQ Write File 2 VI to be faster in practice. Am I doing something wrong with the TDMS file structure? Is there a more efficient way to convert IMAQ image data to a dataform that can be written as TDMS? I am posting two of my programs to provide a clearer example of what I am trying to do. The first takes a snap of the image and appends it to a TDMS file. The second is the fastest I have found so far and uses Grab to record the images and the IMAQ Write File VI to save them.
    Thanks

    Hi
For me it is no surprise that the second VI is faster then the first one, the reason is you can not compare this two VI with each other.
In the first VI you work with TDMS files, in the second with png files. That would be much faster, because TDMS files need a lot of diskspace.
Second point, why do you open, write and close for eacht iteration of the for loop a TDMS file in your first VI? That need really a lot of resources, so it coudn´t be fats as well.
Save your converted pictures in one array, an after the acquisition you can save it in one TDMS file. When you need for each picture a TDMS file you have to know that this need some time to do this.
So now for the architecture of your first VI, please look to the LL Sequence.vifrom the examples (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.6\examples\IMAQ\IMAQ Low Level.llb\LL Sequence.vi), there you can see how an acquisition of a number of images have been to do.
When you like it really fast, you make a producer/consumer architecture (see examples in LabVIEW for that).
So in the first whileloop you acquire the images, write into a queue and in the second, parallel whileloop you read the queue and save the images. (see attachment)
    Hope that helps
    Kind regards

New to LiveCycle and Javascript.  Looking for a simple way to convert a string to title case, except acronyms.  Currently using the the following, it converts acronyms to lower case:

  • What is the fastest way of getting data?

With a scanning electron microscope, I need to scan a 512*512 pixel area with a pixel repetition of 15000 (two channels), meaning averaging over 15000 measurements. Simultaneously I have to adjust the voltage output for every pixel.
I am using a 6111E Multifunction I/O board in a 800MHz P3. The whole task has do be done as fast as possible (not more than 20 minutes altogether).
What is the fastest way to get this huge amount of data with averaging and output in between? (E.g. do I use buffered read with hardware triggering or is there a faster way?)

Using the NI-DAQ API (not LabView) will give you a significant amount of more control over what happens and when to the data stream; which translates to a more efficient program. But you need to program in C/C++ or Delphi then. The Measurement Studio provides ActiveX controls that are like the LabView ones for C&C++ (theyre slow like the LabView ones though not a lot you can do about the Windows GDI).
What are you trying to sample 15000 times? The 512*512 pixel field?
Thats almost 15Gigs of data! And it means you need to process data at 12.8MB/s to finish it in 20 minutes. I hope you know C, x86 assembly and MMX.
I would setup a huge circular buffer (NI-DAQ calls them double buffers), about 30 seconds worth or so, to use with SCAN_Start. Then I would proces
s the actual buffer the card is DMAing the data into with a high priority thread. Progressively sum the scan values from the 16bit buffer (the samples are only 12 bit, but the buffer should still be 16bits wide) into a secondary buffer of DWORDs the size of the screen (512*512), and youll need two of those, one for each channel. Once the 15000 scans are complete, convert each entry into a float divide by 15000.0f, and store it in a third buffer of floats.

  • Fastest Way To Create Ultrabeat Instrument From Wav Loop?

Hello, can anyone share the fastest way to create and instrument from a WAV file?
I know you can convert a wav to ESX24 instrument but I use Ultrabeat not ESX.
Im finding my self divinding each shot into region and then exporting that to its own file.
    Is there a faster/simpler way?
    -Thanks

You're right! It does work, however, if you follow these steps:
    1. Right-click on wave file in Arrange and choose "Slice at Transient Markers" or use the corresponding key command.
    2. Select all the split regions right-click on them and choose: Convert > Convert to new audio file(s)
    3. Again, with all the regions selected choose: Convert to new sampler track.
    4. Now launch Ultrabeat. Click on the Import button anc choose the .exs file you've just created (will be located in your project folder). Then drag the audio files into UB as desired.
You could skip Part 3 altogether and simply slice at transients, convert to new audio file(s) and then in a new kit of UB drag them into the sample window of OSC for each part...

  • Fastest way to create a track of Whole notes beginning to end

I am trying to create a tapper track consisting of a series or low G (G2) whole notes.
What is the fastest way of doing this. (they really should be quantized) And, they should also be on beat-one only, throughout an occasional meter change.
In logic you could drag blocks. I realize I could simply loop and then convert loop to real midi...
But.. would this run amuck with meter changes. (Remember I just want notes beginning on beat one, and ONLY beat one.
    -Thanks

Where you have sig changes, copy the region, and adjust it's length to fit the meter … you only need 1 region, rather than try to anticipate the myriad of time sigs that may crop up.
I understand exactly what you mean, and it makes a lot of sense. I think it's strictly a question of the pattern of usage. If his style when writing is to frequently throw in some odd time sig that he hasn't used much before and is not likely to use again anytime soon, then what you say seems like the best approach. On the other hand, I'm assuming he's more in a situation where he tends to throw in, say, a measure of 2/4, 3/4 or 5/4 every now and then. And it's just a few sigs like that which he tends to use frequently. Therefore it might be slightly easier to have a few regions like that already prepared, and in a place where I can grab them easily. If I have them marked clearly by name and color, I can feel comfortable that I'm avoiding an error. Whereas if I'm creating them over and over again each time I need one, the snap settings and zoom level are relevant, and it's a little too easy to make a careless mistake, if the phone rings at the wrong time.
Also, he sometimes wants whole notes, and sometimes quarter notes. And maybe there are some other variations like this. This would also be a reason to have some material prepared that I can use over and over again.
But of course if one day I decide to emulate Stockhausen and throw in a bar in 142/8 time, it makes sense to create that only when I need it, because if I create that region in advance it probably won't get used much.
So in practice I could picture him doing it a combination of both ways, because chances are certain sigs are used often and others are used rarely. I think it really depends on the writing style, and the pattern of how the unusual sigs are distributed. And also if he sees an advantage in the marking by color. That could be considered helpful, or it could be considered ugly and distracting.
